I'm probably showing my age, but the entire vintage RCA style of this mic stands out well. I can't wait to hear it.
Something I look for in great mics is how they can shine the light on some problem areas of the source tone, and this mic totally illuminated those areas. Visually the mic looks heavy and would make many think it would be vry dark, but the attention to details internally and not using useless components that just weigh things down really allow this mic to be more bright and in your face.
This thing really enlightened me!

Just got one, it shines on acoustic guitars, pure brightness! But you have to place it close to the sound hole…you hear and may also see some picks in there!!

Recorded drums recently, listening back to the stems and the room is way too dark. Never found a mic that could actually make the room brighter. Will definitely be using this in dark rooms!

They've finally caught up with the times and added an illuminating aim assist function. I have a nightmare pointing my 'normal' microphones at noise usually. This is great, it's really shed some light on this fantastic new technology!

Well, the video is really gamechanging. Almost ten minutes of speaking about the microphone and it's really shining, even not record any sound, I must say. Ya got me, Kohle😆
Jokes aside, it would make a really cool retro lamp. That mic case has the same sort of steampunkish appeal that vacuum tubes have.

So you come in to drop your vocal the singer has yesterday still running through his head he opens his mouth in front of the AEA 44 to sing the high end lights up and the singer went catatonic. Don't know if we will ever get him back

Are my eyes off? It does say 499 on the thumbnail right? Everything I'm finding is def much much more. I just got the royer -10 hotrod and I'm not sold on it. I really want this mic lol. Side note, just recently started following your vids and they are great.
