I always work with some people in the past who say you don't need electric tape. I was always taught by my first manager to use tape just in case.

Exactly, you don’t NEED it but having it just incase is worth more then $0.03 worth of tape

Thank you I appreciate that! You can use either Wago lever nuts or wire nuts. I’m not sure if that’s the answer you were looking for. I hope it helps!

Nice video as always. Though I would have used lever Wagos instead of wire nuts to connect the wires from the motor to the remote. Sure they cost a little more, but IMO, as an Italian Electrician, I feel that Wagos are more safer than Wire nuts.

Thank you! Wagers are definitely convenient. I do like how you can see the wire connected inside of the lever nut after it is installed. Thanks a lot for your input. It’s good to see people from other backgrounds watching the videos. Take care!

Absolutely love this fan unit for the outdoor. The different lighting levels are nice as well. Glad the layout of the metal ceiling worked out as well. Great job Josh as always for another fantastic job. 🔨👍🏻

HINT FOR STUBBORN LEFTIES: It took me YEARS to realize why I had trouble using those twist wire nuts.
They are made to be TWISTED WITH THE RIGHT HAND!! As a Leftie, I held the wires with my RIGHT hand and TWISTED THE WIRE NUT with my LEFT HAND! NO GOOD!
Twisting with the LEFT HAND OPENS THE WIRE NUTS! I would end up frustrated, and splicing the old fashioned way for DECADES, never understanding my problem with those simple wire nuts.
One day I must have paid attention to this simple process - it finally dawned on me! Twisting the wire nut with the left hand OPENS the threads, no matter how hard I twist the nut and no matter how I twist my wires.
From then on, I made myself hold the wires with my LEFT HAND and TWISTED EVERY WIRE NUT WITH MY RIGHT HAND - THE WAY THEY ARE DESIGNED TO WORK!
I'm big on reading directions, but I never noticed any directions to twist those nuts with the RIGHT HAND in order for them to catch properly. I laugh at self-evident directions cautioning people not to put plastic bags over their heads, or to remove wrappers before eating candy, etc. I cannot imagine my blind stubbornness in trying to get these wire nuts to work for me FOR YEARS before I finally took a close look at my problem.
So, if you are a stubborn Leftie who is accustomed to “knowing better” than others, give yourself a break. Hold your wires in your left hand and TWIST WIRE NUTS WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND to create a simple but safe and strong splice. It’s so much easier and faster than the old fashioned method of twisting opposing wires onto each other, tightening both with pliers, then taping (or soldering) the splice in a way to leave your wires appearing to be unbroken, without lumps and protuberances of wire nuts. Once I fixed the gap in my brain cells, I never made another “beautiful” and impractical splice again.
