awesome review and having that f1.2 will make shooting in night time really handy.
definitely! will get some nice bokeh and let in a lot of light to the images. Would you do night street photography?
@@AceNoguera at the very least will allow for a bit higher shutterspeed or get to pull down the ISO to control the noise. In general there's shops that sell food at night for people who come back from work, and its a lot of interesting scenes to capture during those times.

Just starting to expand my lens collection from beyond the kit lenses. I have the sony 50mm1.8oss and the samyang 12mm so far. This would fill a hole in my kit.

The purple colour of the glass is the lens coating - that has nothing to do with purple fringing in the images, it's just a coincidence. Chromatic aberrations are caused by refraction of the spectrum of light as it passes through the glass - more expensive lenses have elements to correct for this.

How does it behave inside the sharp range F/4-F/8? Is it wild to compare it to fuji kit lens at those stops? 🤞
i actually did a couple of test shots and the Pergear is clearly sharper at f4 lol so im sure it just gets even sharper from there on out. I tested the kit lens on AF
I would think if the flair is that bad on the 7artisans it would have to be defective. That being said when looking at budget minded budget lenses quality control can be an issue. That being said, I have not heard anything seriously wrong with Pergear. I have the 25mm, and it has given me some nice images.
Good point, hard to tell though as nothing else seemed wrong with it but it could be defective.

@@SunnyNatividad my pleasure brother! What fuji are you shooting on? The best tip would be to make sure you have focus peaking on and choose a color you can see easily. I use red, helps me nail focus better.

hey there! Good catch! Thats because when a lens is manual focus it doesnt communicate with the camera body to log that info. (No lens contacts) This is just the default numbers that the camera/lightroom spits out. :)

I have a fujifilm camera, actually the X-A7. I got impressed by how good it looks recording at 4k during the sunsets and probably gets more light in for night time with that lense ;v

@@AceNoguera With the kit lens it's smaller than my X-A7, it looks more sophisticated too haha, better processor, better size, probably the same ergonomics, electronic viewfinder, well haha, I'll probably change mine for that XD; Now, I consider that the battery is barely enough but there is no way to charge a few extra batteries.

Just bought my a6000 last year October with two kits lenses. Would love to expand but my budget is really right, i do mostly product photography, what lens would you guys recommend?
if the products youre shooting arent big and you dont mind manual af, this lens is actually really good for product photography!

@@AceNoguera Fuji X-T20. I’ve had some fun with cheaper manual lenses (Meike 35 1.7 and Rokinon 12 2) on it. The way they force you to slow down and figure out how to work with its ‘character’ seems to make it more rewarding when you get a keeper. Plus they’ve been a fun way to get back into the hobby.
@@pacheaco727 100% agree, thats my favorite part. Its also more intimate. Really makes you slow down to make sure you nail focus and think. I loved using this lens for street photography for this exact reason.
