Thanks to Pergear for sending through this lens for review!
Note that Fuji's XF23mm F2, XC35mm F2, and XF35mm F2 all come with a 43mm filter thread. I already have an XF23mm F2 so already have a full set of filters in this size. Might be the same for a lot of Fuji shooters as the XF F2s are very popular
the video is good, as your voice tone, but the volume of the music turns it difficult to me , but probably is because i'm a non native speaker english
Thank you :)
Thanks
Hi Aron, not sure if it was already mentioned. The PGear lens hood has a 52mm thread at its' outer edge, so I guess 52mm filter should work fine in this position. maybe not a close up lens.
Thank you for this review, Aaron! I look at this type of lens as a creative choice. No need to put them under the glare of pixel peeping against the OEM optics. I own quite a few 7artisans lenses and they often make me smile both while shooting and during post. It's easy to forget that they are such good value.
This video was pretty good content while doing an indoor cycling training (it's raining, it's autumn...). Have a Fujifilm 35mm F/2 and will stick to it. As you know, got other plans & dreams on top of my list. But for that price this must be a very satisfying choice for the manual focus challenge. And great move to perform future tests with older mirrorless camera's as well. Thumbs up for that (I'm an X-H1 user; think it matches the X-T2 technically, besides the IBIS.).
great video. Thank you for your review.
What is your choice between f1.6 and f1.2 35mm pergear
1.2 for sure
Would this be decent for products such as jewellery? I'm looking at the Fujifilm xt20 and this as a budget lens for my jewellery. Thanks for the review.
Nice and helpful review Aaron. I am torn between the slower 1.6 35mm Pergear which apparently is sharper across the range against the seemingly better ergonomics of the 1.2 lens. I would shoot more around f5.6-f8 using zone focusing for candid street shots so not that bothered about the 1.2 f stop but I do like the look of the lens and the larger focusing ring. Any views on this? Thanks again.
Very nice review!! And thanks for the raf files , greetings from Guatemala !
Could be interesting tu use it with an autofocus adapter if it exists with this type of lense because it looks quite nice for the price. Thanks for the vid!
Great video once again! Your tone is so calm and contrary to what the other comment said, I find it fits the music quite well. I'm not even interested in the lens and I watched the full video. Very well made! One thing I'd suggest is more image samples in different conditions for future lens reviews. So for example, a close focus shot, a brightly lit shot, etc. Also, thanks for including full sized image samples in your videos. It's not always easy to evaluate the quality on youtube.
Keep up the great work! Really enjoy the channel so far and will be looking forward to future videos!
Great feedback and lovely comments, thank you. All feedback is good feedback so I'll work to improve in future. 👍
Is this lens good for XT-1?🤔
Worked well in my tests, a great cheap lens to pair with the X-T1.
@@AaronDiscovers thanks again 👍 I'm going to buy this one
Let me know how you get on with it.
I use manual lenses less and less because of my wearing lenses and having shaky hands. But I am really amazed that there are manufacturers that can produce such cheap lenses as Pergear and 7artisan, for example, while brand name ones cost so much.
I appreciate your review, but seeing the back of some people instead of the face, is not helping to see how good it focuses
...Pergear 35 1.6 ha much nicer old style bokeh and a general creamyness out of this world, i have no doubt in going for the slower lens, it' better in many terms
Like you approach to making reviews - but boy, I found the music very, like very, very distracting.. Hope you will reconsider the use of music - in my view it rarely adds anything of value..🤔
Certainly take that into consideration. Prior comments complimented it but I'll tone it down going forward. Much appreciated 👍
@@AaronDiscovers I don't mind the music, only the volume. Bring it down a notch or two and it'll work.
Gotcha. Will do.
@@AaronDiscovers Thanks Aaron!
A couple of thinks to consider with music is that taste varies - a lot. Also that ears vary, in their ability to differentiate sounds from each other, such as voice and music.
Also, I would like to ad that your way of presenting can stand very well on it's own legs, you do not need to ad anything to make it interesting :-)
Cheers Karsten. All valid points and I value all input. Appreciate you taking the time to reply 👍
The music is so distracting
Will be fixed in subsequent videos.
It's not that bad, I found it quite relaxing ☺️
Show, don't tell. I was expecting more samples showcasing its bokeh, min focus, sharpness, etc. but nada. Totally disappointed.
