How long would one of those slave cylinders be expected to last? I have just bought a combo and it seems so dumb to put it inside the bell housing. The clutch fork and cylinder on the outside seemed a better idea.

      Hi David,
The life of the CSC is dependent on a broad range of factors. We recommend replacing the CSC when replacing the clutch as it is worthwhile doing the job whilst the transmission is removed from the vehicle. If the cylinder is not replaced and it fails soon after the installation of the new clutch, it can damage the clutch meaning a complete replacement of both. If you have any further questions, please contact our friendly sales team at sales@australianclutch.com.au
      Thanks

Why does manufacturers warn against pushing the throw out bearing prior to installation, why does that cause damage?

Can anyone give me tips on getting air out of my slave cylinder
Ive just fitted an Luk dual flywheel, clutch kit and hydraulic slave cylinder on my 2005 renault megane 225 sport.
I called Renault today and they said to fill the slave cylinder with a syringe before fitting, i did try to fill it before fittinf, but by dipping end of slave cylinder in clutch fluid and slowly pump the cylinder, for some weird reason this didn't work so i just fitted it anyway.
Now im trying to fit a hose directly to the slave on the car and fill it with a hose and syringe, but im just getting lots of back pressure??
Slave cylinder is in gearbox like one in this video incidentally, help!!

      Hi,
Thank you for your comment. No the Colorado's would run a different hydraulic setup. If you are having some difficulty with the slave cylinder in your vehicle, please contact our sales and technical support team (sales@australianclutch.com.au) with the details of your vehicle including year and engine. They will be able to assist you with the process for this.
      Thanks
