Thank buddy. Not a lot of space to work and film at the same time. Really appreciate the effort. You should have more likes. Come on guys and gals, give the man some love. ;)
You have some really great content. Some advice from someone.new to your channel, is I would put your videos in playlist e.g Vauxhall Astra J , Corsa C playlist etc, that way allows us to binge watch and like your content 👍👍
I'm keeping the slave incase they start selling the rubber kits and I will repair it, as for centering I just use finger and it works every time, but I use 2 t long front mountain bolt to aline and pull engine and gearbox together slowly,
I think a problem has started with my flywheel..slight knocking noise at idle..when I press down on clutch slightly.. noise goes away..is this a big job on a 2015 astra j 1.6cdti?
Mine failed I bought the cheap one and waiting for the courier to deliver, I removed the whole engine out and put in front of the while ecu harness still connected,, I find it inconvenience to remove the left wheel and move the gearbox aside
It depends, is your slave cylinder noisy or leaking ? If it’s leaking then yes you have to, but I always replace 3pc clutch even if it’s just noisy as I don’t want to take the gearbox off again when the clutch breaks later on, so better to do it straight away while you have the gearbox off.
Is the clutch supposed to have resistance when being depressed from THE beginning? When I got my car, the first half of the clutch was lose and then towards the bottom I felt the resistance. Does this mean the clutch was faulty when I bought the car? I have exactly the same car and my car clutch is gone and can not go into any gear as you have shown - feels completely loose from beginning all the way to bottom . But Great video 👍and thanks for explaining all the way through.
I did fit the whole clutch kit and the slave cylinder is not working the clutch feels like rubber and I finished the whole bottle of brake fluid now I have to start over again eish
I sorted out and there was air trapped, I opened the gearbox and pump the clutch till it leaks out, unplugged the hose outside gear box and push back the fluid out by pushing the slave cylinder and closed the gearbox, plug the hose back and it worked without the need to bleed it, thank you for your video

how do you bleed clutch?
Whats the symptoms of the slave failing, my 2.0 cdti gear changes are stiff when cold and the bite point is high not slipping, Cheers

Do you change only the clutch without flywheel??
Hi,its the same clutch like on 1.7 cdti?Thank you

Have question is it same for vauxhall astra mk5 H ?
If you remove lower wishbone bolt and knock the fixing down, the drive shaft pulls out, quicker than shock absorber bolts
Very good. Thanks
how much should i expect to be charged for a clutch and flywheel replacement on a 2010 astra j 1.6? cheers
I've a 2015 astra j 1.6cdti..wondering same thing!
When replacing the slave cylinder do you need to replace the clutch at same time or not

If it is loose towards the top then you have air in your system and this will need to be bled out
How much does this job cost? Mine went yesterday
How much would you charge for a 3pc clutch replacement?

Some macanic fitted my clutch can't get into gear payed 250 pounds and he never came back to fix it
Some people just can’t do their jobs properly, it might be that he didn’t put the right clutch kit in? 🤷♂️
Where are you based ?
good job
Thanks Pro
Hi, confused, why couldn’t you not have just changed the slave cylinder
You have the hole engine strip down better of just changing all of it to save you doing the other parts in the near future
@@ZeroLifee oh so you mean it’s an internal slave cylinder not an external one
It's an internal slave on these, also good practice as the slave may have contaminated the clutch friction material.
The word basically should removed from the English language.
