- Some times unexpected things turn out to be the best. I still am in disbelief about this whole situation. I hope you guys are going to enjoy watching the process of getting this car back on the road just as much as I am. Let me know you thoughts, ideas, comments, whatever down below! In the next video we’ll get to see what this thing looks like without 30 years of moss & dirt on it and see that orange paint shine!
She’s definitely rough, but for $1000 that’s deal! Congrats man
Thanks! It’s rough, but that’s the fun part haha
Cosole and shifter worth that
Canidate for rear pan underbody. Clip job
@@camracing chek out graveyard. Carz on youtube. He takes worse wrecks and makes em prino
Got a steal. But trust me I wouldn't sell it that low.
Seeing Young people interested in old classic Mopars is great to see ! Best of luck I'll be watching 👍
68 to 70 Chargers, save them all!!
Well it's about time them Duke boys showed up. 👀
Welll it’s certainly a “project” car. It is a valuable car though if you can get it running and back on the road. Congratulations!
Rare. Color combo. That copper. Color. Buy a clapped out shell and do a lower clip. Job of sheetmetal
Worth a grand all day. Gotta start somewhere. Glad JYD sent me over. ✌️
That’s the deal of a lifetime as far as I’m concerned! If I could ever come across something like that I’d be shaking too! Congratulations!
It’s a sickness. 😅 Congratulations, Cale. This one is gonna be fun to watch. 💪🏻
Thanks!
Nice car! Junkyard Digs referred me here, subbed ✅
I;m really glade you are so happy with your new toy. Most young men are into the (let say four cylinder cars} Good to see interest in the old school muscle car. Most are out of price for the average person.
I wish you a lot of luck restoring the Charger. What a monumental undertaking. It’s also a great learning experience.
Congrats !!! Excellent find .. 1k cars are among life's great gifts
It's a beautiful color can't wait to see it restored the 383 is a decent motor especially if you build a 383 stroker. But a 440 would be awesome
Looking forward to seeing this car running and driving again. By the way, it has a 383 V-8 with a 727 Torque Flite 3-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a console shifter instead of a column shifter.
Damn I'm so jealous for you kid,😭😭😭dodge charger the greatest car ever
God bless you .. for ur fine efforts on saving. What some guy left to rot. Wow .. u deserve a badge like a purple heart ..
Holy cow man this is insane! Im 27 and ive been dreaming of owning a 69 charger for many years. One day soon i will have one and everyday is 1 step closer to finally makin a dream reality. Cant wait to start my journey like you did with this one.
Theyll start getting affordable again in about 10 years. I'm only ten years older than you....and I remember back in the late 90's project mopars in even better shape than this were going for only a couple grand. The insane prices you're seeing for them now is a result of the boomer generation hitting retirement age and wanting to relive their youth! And they have a lot of money to spend right now which is jacking the prices up sky high. But once they start dying off in the next 10 years the prices will start to drop back to normal levels. And they'll be people out here trying to give these things away again!! Lol! The same thing happened with the 40s-50s car market lately. Where 20 years ago some of those were selling for insane prices but now they're really really cheap. The same thing will with the muscle car market too. So just hang tough and be patient, and save your money! The time will come! 😉👊💯
@@chrissytaylor5690this is word for word what I tell people all the time! I seriously hope it comes true🤣
@@jameswalker5143 I know right?? 😄 Always tell myself if I keep wishing it long enough it'll eventually become true! 🤷♀️...... But with my luck I'll probably be graveyard dead in 10 years! 🤣 🪦⚰️💀
But hey?.... I'd take graveyard dead over driving an electric bubble clown car any day!!!! 🤷♀️😆

Very Cool to see a Young guy being So interested & invested in the Classic car/Muscle Car world!! Love it, Keep it up young man!!!
The way it started and with the wind I couldn't here well. So for a second I was thinking, "is he gonna steal it?" LOL I'm not a hard core Mopar guy but that car would still be a trophy find to me. Great job!!
Haha I didn’t want to film a whole lot on his property, just got what I could
@@camracing For a grand you kinda did steal it haha especially if most of the drivetrain is salvageable even if just to swap or sell.
I would love a project car like this, great find!
Such a sweet car for only $1000 that’s bad ass hell yeah man looking forward to seing more
Can’t wait to see it take shape! Glad you’re gonna get it running sort of as is! Obviously after addressing the cross member
The lincoln at start caught my eye. I have intrest in old land yatch lincolns
My brother bought a brand new dodge charger 440 magnum in 1970 out of the dealers show room.
I was 10 yrs old at the time and thought his car was so cool. He layer alot of rubber on the road in front of the house LOL.
All his buddies had different make sports cars like mustang, challenger,
Chevelle, Barracuda,
GTO, Nova and his CHARGER RT 440 MAGNUM
They did alit of street racing in those days and my brother never lost to any of them or anyone else he said. He was pretty proud of that car. He got in trouble outrunning the town cops in our home town and the surrounding towns LOL They finally got to where they wouldnt even chase him. they knew whos car it was and they just called our parents and that usually meant dad took his keys for a week and he hated that so those incidences slowed down alot.
Those were the good oh days and that charger you just bought reminded me of all that and more.
Thanks for sharing the video with us.
I just subscribed so will be watching to see what all you do to it.
The Duster looks sharp
Great story
Congrats brother. Picked up my 1968 charger back when I was 17 years old for $1,000 myself. Might be time to get back into the charger game.
Your video just popped in my feed, I can relate; I felt the same way when I was trying to get my 70; a crazy combo of being anxious and excited at the same time, lol. That's awesome that you were able to get it for a cool grand, showing the good deals are still out there. Congrats Brother 👍👍
Lucky lucky you.
Take your time.
Labor of love.......
Awesome car
That reminds me of the Charger that I just traded my truck for last summer. That I’m about to tackle. Except mine is just a shell. And the rooftop will need replaced and it’s missing the complete backhalf of the car.
I’m glad that you have enough vision to see past the rust and are brave enough to tackle the project. 😎👍
Great to see another one of these ladies being rescued all the best with her bro
Happy for ya mate. Looking forward to watching you build it.
Awesome! I can only imagine what you'll do with it. Bonus being a BB car
so stoked about the Charger! Kevin sent me here. Subscribed. 🤘🇺🇲
Awesome. I can’t wait to see you progress this. I hope everyone comments to help you hit the RUclips algorithm.
I hope so too haha, appreciate the support man!
I like your positive attitude🏆 I have owned a lot of mopars 69 super Bee 69 Coronet challengers chargers power wagons etc way to 🍀 get R done 😎✌️
Wow, that's a great deal and a super project! Good luck with it 👍.
I’m so freaking stoked for you Cale
Haha thanks man!
Sayin hello from Junkyard Diggs Channel, love the Duster
Here on junk yard digs suggestion. Liking what i see. That's a cool project looking forward to it coming back around.
Thats a dream find for sure!
There’s a 1959 Caddy and I think it’s a coupe on this road under a tarp that looks like it’s been there 30 years but only the rear fins are sticking out.. I wanna go ask if it’s for sale but the person also has other classics at the place so probably not for sale but I may pull up in my 67 Buick and win the car over
Heck yeah man! When the gentleman I got the charger from saw the duster and I told him the story of it, he seemed to really appreciate it and I told him I’d do the same with the charger
That's the find of a lifetime!!!
I just watched this whole video from start to finish and I can’t believe that I now have two channels to watch because you and Dylan McCool who just got the same car handed off to him from Junkyard Digs and is going to do what your doing. I just subscribed to you and can’t wait to see what you do with it. You have the 383 and Dylan’s is the 318. Going to be awesome to watch both transformations!!! Good luck 👍😁
Congrats man! That's a awesome find, your story is alot like mine, I just bought a 69 charger, been sitting for 30+yrs, 318 2bbl car, my underside is solid, but roof is toast due to the vynil top, and was parked years ago due to a wreck on the right front which did bend the frame rail. I'm about to tear it down and get the frame pulled, my plan is to hit some cruise ins with the roof flapping just for laughs while I aquire the parts to fix all that, Goodluck on yours can't wait to see the progress!!
Thats a rad ass ride hopefully u can restore that ledgen congrats my friend keep us posted wana see it graudualy
Redone…🤘🏽
Good luck !
Awesome find kid! Good for you!
Gained a sub! Big ups from Champaign Illinois!
Appreciate the support! I used to live about 2 hours north of Champaign
@@camracing where you at in Illinois now?
Great find, super nice project.......
Thoroughly jealous of your score on that one
When you clean that interior out, wear a respirator and Tyvek suit.
Awesome find, looks like tons of content material!!
You know it! Gonna be a fun one
You found a good deal. It’s got a lot of rust but most of the chargers in the $10-30k range are eat up with rust.
Subscribed right away. Got to see you offroad in this car!
great catch🙌🏻the grill alone is worth a thousand dollars
More like 3000
Rotpars lol love the find! glad you found it and good luck with the build!
Beautiful charger!❤❤
I'm a new sub sent by junkyard digs I look forward to seeing qhat you donqith this cool peice of history
Birdsong that thing and send it! Awesome! Cant wait to see what you do with it :D
Keep updates coming!❤
That's a pretty rare interior color. Would be cool to see You stay with that color. Not sure what part of Illinois You're in? I'm just south of Chicago. There are some 383's and 440's on FB marketplace. I did a 100 mile search. You should do a video decoding the Fender Tag.
I decided the tag the other day, some pretty neat options on it!
Do a e mail zoom consult with graveyard. Cars.
so excited for you dude, that is one of my top 5 dream cars! youre livin the dream man, hopefully next year ill see that thing on power tour! congrats man
I’d really like to get it on power tour but we’ll see how it goes, thanks man!
I am just a new subscriber for Brazil! Keep up, great work! Loved the power tour videos too!
This is my first instantly subscribed keep it up we will watch for the new vid coming out
Great video. Subscribed. 👍🏻 Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Why can't I ever find deals like these. That's my favorite car ever made too
Dude that’s a dream come true, congrats
Thank you! Can’t believe it man
Fisrt time here young man and I tell you what your a lucky man for finding that car
It's a steal congrats man you are very lucky the grill assembly is worth more than you gave for the car kmd has everything you need but your going to spend way more than you gave for the car
I’m aware haha, I’d had to do the same thing on the duster. That’s the fun part to me though, I just love building stuff
With the news that Dodge is ending the run of Challenger and Chargers it just seems so perfect that a young man is going to put this classic back on the road.
Great Find Buddy, Congratulations!! Those Camaro's are Nice! Hopefully the owner let's them go before too long so they can be brought back to life & Enjoyed for Years to come. l Can't Wait to watch the series on the Charger!! I just found your page through Kevin
@JYD & Will be binging your Duster Build Series Very Soon!
I’m so excited for you!!
So cool! Im subd now and cant wait to see the progress
Plenty of sheetmetal, good start you have there.
JYD sent me!👋👍🔥👌
Thanks for watching!
@@camracing I also have a 68 GTX with a 440 in it. It crazy how all those cars are so similar in little ways.
Hey man you just keep on putting out the videos I'll keep on watchin. Also junkyardig sent me over.
Wow, just wow. That is an awesome score, one of my dream cars as well. Definitely will test your metal working abilities. I personally would love to see that 383 up and running again, unless you can get a new Hemi in it out of a junk Hellcat? Either way, I look forward to seeing what you do with it. I see your channel doubled after power tour? Nice job. They are going to love your channel.
Wow muy lindooooo
Felicidades 🍾 Suertudo 🍀👏
CUANTO SERÁ LO QUÉ VAS A INVERTIR???😳😳😳
……….🇺🇸
Laguna S-3 chevy.... Malibu..... I rebuilt a 76... LOVED that damn thing yo...
While it's very cool to find such jewels abandoned and I'm kinda jelaous, I almost always ask myself: *Who the hell leaves such a ride sitting in the middle of nowhere, only to be eaten up by rust?*
Out of all of them i thought the charger would be the one not for sale out of any of them thats the king of the road.
wow it's rough old car, but that charger needs to be saved and back the road. Look forward to seeing what happens next with old charger.
You are going to be a sheet metal replacement specialist
Well I guess the thing is they're not making them anymore and if you don't save it now it'll just get worse. I've seen people restore just as bad if not worse cars so you can do it if you set your mind to it. Good luck in this project 👍☮️🇺🇲
Your page came up subscribed gonna benge watch ,your past episodes that's a damn cool find can't wait to see it running I'm in hazel green Alabama and possibly know where a 440 RV motor is
I’m definitely considering a motorhome 440, thanks for the support!
Got a new fan and love seeing people build up my dream car. Can’t wait to see how this car come along
Wow, a ‘70 Charger for $1,000!!!!!! No matter what the condition is you got a stellar deal!! Congrats, yes you should be doing the happy dance lol….. in that condition it’s a $15,000 car all day. Get it running and driving without much else it’s a $30,000 car. And if you want to invest $60,000 for a blue chip, chalk mark restoration your return will be a car worth at least $100,000. Ypu cannot go wrong no matter what you do!! Enjoy!
We subscribed!❤❤❤
duuuude I'm so jelly
awesome
The mice absolutely.. absolutely.. wow. Had a hay day ..in that car ... 😳
Good luck fixing it
Lucky!
That's one of my dream cars with challenger and a mustang
This is crazy bro
The color looks like Turbine Bronze cool color. 440 source is a company to get big block Mopar parts. They can tell you all the possibilities.
Yeah it's still got the hi-po exhaust manifolds on it too! I highly doubt it's a 318. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a numbers matching 383
5.9 Cummins swap would be sick haha 😄
You should try and see if that engine turns over by hand. If it does, put some transmission fluid into each cylinder and let it sit overnight. Then try and start it the next day. Might not be anything wrong with it, except the previous owner didn't know what they were doing.
Kevin that a boy -- pay it forward I want - clean it up son
Also in mind do like a 64 to 65 to 66 mustang those are really neat
