The paid DLC will include:
Steam workshop capabilities: create your own knight skins, choose your magic, and share with the world!
New official character: play as Paint Junior, use your imagination, and create powerful art to vanquish your foes!
New player and weapon artwork for all official playable characters (with an option to toggle on or off).
Get INSPIRED and let us know what POWERFUL characters you'll create with the tool!

Because things like a game night sounds awesome, but we would never have those here. Sounds like a good way to rest from the studies, studies and studies all the time (help me).
@@kannodePVC I went to a very large private university with a pretty heavy focus on extracurriculars, especially community service-oriented ones. I was highly involved in a student association that routinely had game nights, café nights with performances, and community service outings, as well as social activism-related functions. At least of the universities in my city (large midwestern metropolitan center) these are fairly common occurrences. Best of luck in your studies my friend!

Really hoping this comes to console too, even without the Steam Workshop compatibility. An entire reskin of the game, custom knights, and an entirely new knight would still be worth it

Castle Crashers was the first game I experienced on Xbox 360 as a demo, I played it so much my dad finally caved and got me the full game. My sister and I played it religiously, it still is to this day a game we come together to play all the way through at least once a year. Seeing DLC brought back a renewed feeling of excitement and nostalgia rarely experienced since those early days of the Wild West of games on 360!!
It's like we had the same childhood, although I haven't played CC more than once within the recent years

As a kid, I remember playing your flash games on newgrounds and enjoyed them a lot. Then discovered that you have castle crashers and saw the gameplay and it felt like a dream playing this game. Now in 2024 when I saw this video, I was very happy hearing the news. I'm so happy for you updating this amazing game

Castle Crashers was the first game I bough through an online shop in my xbox 360 back in 2012, since then I’ve been hoping for a sequel and every new dlc that is released is always a godsend :’D

A game from my childhood coming out with a brand new DLC 16 years later... I've never felt so much joy and nostalgia all at once ❤ It's not often you get the opportunity to show your love and support for such an awesome game and to say thank you for all the memories it's given. I was 8 years old when it first came out and played the fuck out of it with my Xbox homies, now I'm 24 and I think it's about time to round 'em up again

You made me remember my first year as a student. How I had just arrived in a new and big city. Just getting used to it and my new life. The school year had just started and the PC port had just come out. Oh, so many sweet memories. The music just brings those times back. Thank you Behemoth and everyone who worked on the game for this experience and for still supporting the game after so many years!

I am a 21 year old guy and I remember playing this game as a kid on the Xbox 360 per recommendation of one of my online good friends at the time. I’ve purchased this game quite a number of times. For a few friends (probably 4), on the Xbox 360, twice on Steam (Mac & Windows), the PlayStation 3, Xbox 1, and then the PlayStation 4. This game is really fun and charming, a great Co-op experience which is literally The Behemoth’s wonderful specialization. Thank you for the many many years and hours of fun with my friends.
P.S. I like the art design for Beefy Mode in the PvP selection screen.

Behemoth, I have known this game since I can remember. I played it with my dad, with other family members. And I have been wanting an update ever since then. You hold a special place in my heart, this update CAN’T disappoint. I….. no…. We want this to come on every device, we want to be able to create custom magic, updates, custom arms, legs, campaigns, custom game modes. Everything. And take as Long as you need to make all that, hell, you might even make a castle crashers 2… but until then, I’ll play your legendary game again…
since it relys on steam workshop it probably will not have the custom stuff for every console, may still have other stuff and do what behemoth did with featured stuff with battleblock theater on 360

Im so excited for the new content! I played so much on the 360 when it first released ❤ I’m currently replaying the steam version, unlocking all the characters and weapons I didn’t get yet. The plan is to beat the game with every character on normal before it comes, then work on insane mode when the dlc drops and play in ‘fresh’ mode! I can’t wait to see the characters people create as well. I’m hoping that there’ll be a couple made by the behemoth team. It would be awesome to have the knight we see in the trailer as an official sample download, or even playable princesses as knights officially made! Here’s to more fun with Castle Crashers!
