This is the best tonic! At the first hint of a scratchy throat I have some of this. In the summer I pour a slug or two over ice, add some sweetener, stevia for me, and fill with water.
This looks so interesting I love it Do more interesting recipes and herbal recipes please And thank you for sharing I really appreciate alll your recipes
Made this on Oct 12th! It will make you pucker!!! I also made batches for Christmas gifts! I put a label of the date it was made, the recipe in a holiday card and a nice bow. It's so pretty with the fruit, and are great for the people who really do have everything :) Happy Holidays to All! Thank you, Jill!
This looks fabulous. I'm going to do this since even though it's coming into summer here in Australia. We sadly have an uptick in the new covid variant going about and quite a few people are getting covid. Our booster shot is not ready here yet but natural remedies are always good. ACV is even good on its own as a digestive tonic for those with problems. Thanks Jill, another great recipe, among so, so many. It's always appreciated 🙏🏻
Whoo hoo, thanks for this amazing looking recipe, Jill! I was recently thinking of experimenting with my usual ginger and turmeric tea to boost my immunity even more, and then your video showed up. Perfect timing, I can't wait to make this today!
OHHH I haven't made this in AGES. I can taste it right now. Pungent but so good for you :D I started making this about 11 years ago to boost immunity & dang it I think its time to make me another Jar. Thanks for the reminder & Your looks amazing :)
Love this stuff! Just made mine a couple of weeks ago! I can't wait to taste it. There are so many things you can put in it. I hadn't thought of the cranberries. Lovely addition!
Just put mine together, looks great. I added a couple of beet slices which turned the whole thing a pretty, cherry color. One Q. - did anyone else have some fruit, etc. float to the top? I used fresh cranberries and they popped up to the top, over the vinegar. I decided to try to remedy this by cutting a thick-ish slice of lemon and adding it to the top. It seemed to weight them back down. I also read parchment paper is good to create an interface between the a/c vinegar and the metal mason jar lid, so I added that before I closed the lid. The 30-day clock is now ticking 🙂
I did. Might be because I used fresh. They hold more water, so probably more buoyant. The lemon slice I put on top pushed them under. So all good, thanks! Loved your recipe.
Thank you. I cannot get fresh horseradish, turmeric, or ginger in my marker. Can I use bottled? I found some carrots and ginger that have bern pickled together. Could that substitute? I am curious as to why a canning lid essential?
Excellent recipe. Off topic. What was the non-stick pan that you bought for making the flat bread? You said it was one of the best. I do not remember what the name was. Thank you.
This looks beautiful. I’d love to try this recipe. Does it have to be taken straight, or can you dilute it before you drink it. Apple cider vinegar burned my throat a few years ago and I don’t want to do that again. It took a couple weeks to heal.
@@womanofacertainage5892 Rinse with plain water first. Wait 45 minutes, then brush well. The reason is because the acid will soften your enamel and brushing during this soft stage is too abrasive.
If you can't find fresh turmeric, can you use some dried ground turmeric instead? When drinking it, if you cut it with some organic apple juice instead of water, this would be great, as well as adding a few more nutrients.
If your regular grocery store doesn't have turmeric root, try an ethnic grocery store, especially an Indian one. I've found turmeric root at whole foods Market, Harris Teeter, and H-Mart.
I've also heard of turmeric and ginger helping with inflammation. Replacing the cranberries with tart cherries (or combination of the two) might help as well. Not sure how it'd affect the taste, though.
I heard that you shouldn’t drink vinegar straight because it can burn your esophagus. I’m all about natural remedies, but I think I’ll pass on this one.
I have two questions. Do you have to burp the jar at all? And is it necessary to drink it straight up like you did or can I pour boiling water over it and make it a hot drink?
The leftover solids could make a killer chutney!

Jill, this is really beautiful; the jar, the ingredients, the simplicity, the whole thing. We need content and recipes like this now more than ever 💚🌱
Thank you very much
I'll do it with 1 habanero pepper. I love the taste of it.

Did you know that you can use the solids to make a paste or “relish” to use in a variety of dishes. So delish!
I put a shot in my smoothie! It’s so good!! I’m going to make mine include beets for their goodness. Thanks for a great recipe!🥳

Oh wow!!! That looks and sounds fabulous. I bet it has a sassy kick of heat. Love the beautiful color in the finished product. Thanks for sharing
Hi Jill. Thanks so much for this video. I've been procrastinating in getting this going; you've given me the right push. Thanks again, stay well.

🙏 wow Jill , love the name , looks beautiful too !! God Bless you!!🙏🌟🙏
Geezuz, I can’t believe she drank it undiluted! 🔥 indeed! ❤️🔥☹️
Thank you for showing this. It looks so simple.
So pretty! Can not wait to do this! Thank you !

Did you cut the cranberries in half? I think that helps
I did. Might be because I used fresh. They hold more water, so probably more buoyant. The lemon slice I put on top pushed them under. So all good, thanks! Loved your recipe.
This is medicine for me. I might have to omit the onions (gives me acid reflx), but every other ingredient is fantastic ❤
Okay so this is going to burn some germs no doubt 🔥 I need to see her family or friends or somebody else taste it too, her response was golden💥✨️
Yes it seemed like she thought it was a little too strong. Lol
Yum- have to try this! 🎉
You can drink (infused) ACV straight? Wow, you must be Superwoman.
Great recipe! I'd thin mine out with water, and some Allulose or something.
We put a shot in a glass of water to dilute it. 👍
Great video!!! Thanks!
Brenda 🎃
I just made some. Can’t wait to try this in a month.
Jill, is there another fruit that I can use other than the frozen cranberries? I can’t find them anywhere!
Thank you. I cannot get fresh horseradish, turmeric, or ginger in my marker. Can I use bottled? I found some carrots and ginger that have bern pickled together. Could that substitute? I am curious as to why a canning lid essential?

Ya, I'm going to bet that's a heck of a jolt.
Could you use pomegranate seeds instead of cranberries? Can’t find them.
Sure thing!

Diluted in a glass of water is great. 👍
Yep and brush your teeth right after so the acid doesn't eat at your tooth enamel. :)
Don't brush your teeth right after, rinse with water very well 😉

What size is that jar, please?
2 quart mason jar

Yes, dried turmeric would work. Maybe a couple teaspoons
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshowhi Jill can you use put some fruit juice
Wonderfull, thank you so much for sharing this! Is it possible to ad a bit of Komucha liquid to this?
Sounds good!
Do you add.oranges and honey?
Why do you have to remove the add ins? Could you pour right out of the main jar
Hi Jill I don't buy jabanero hot peppers could I use regular peppers?
You can leave them out. It is mainly for the spiciness so if you want to replace it, it should be something spicy.
Looks amazing. What abt using horse radish and elderberries?
If you can get them , great 👍
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thx so much.
I can’t have cranberries because I take warfarin is there anything else I could use ? Thank you for your show.
You can leave them out
Love this, thank you Jill! The thumbnail for this video has a face: jalapeño eyes and nose and mustache 😊😂
It does! It reminds me of the snowman on “Elf.” 😂
Where can you get the Turmeric at?
If your regular grocery store doesn't have turmeric root, try an ethnic grocery store, especially an Indian one. I've found turmeric root at whole foods Market, Harris Teeter, and H-Mart.
Surprisingly, Publix had fresh turmeric🤗
what size is that big jar?
64 ounce
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thank you
No horseradish?
??? jill, does this aid with inflammation too like a ginger/tumeric shot does?
I've also heard of turmeric and ginger helping with inflammation. Replacing the cranberries with tart cherries (or combination of the two) might help as well. Not sure how it'd affect the taste, though.
Yes

@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thanks for this information. Maybe I will try it like that😊❤️
I have two questions. Do you have to burp the jar at all? And is it necessary to drink it straight up like you did or can I pour boiling water over it and make it a hot drink?
I didn’t burp the jar. You can dilute it into a cup of water but I’m not sure about heating it.
I'd think using boiling water would destroy some of the healthful enzymes. Maybe just warm water instead, and some local raw honey.
So curious...how the heck else would you make it? Why call it vegan. You dont make it with meat or dairy. Seriously!?
It is merely for the RUclips algorithm
