I just found your channel and am really enjoying all of your videos! I made my first batch of fire cider today following your video. I was even able to use my own apple cider vinegar! I'm calling this one Maiden Voyage. Thank you for the lovely videos! I'll keep watching!
I always bought and drank fire cider because I like hot stuff and thought it was.... ?Badass ! never realized just how healthy it is .. no wonder I never get sick , now that im fermenting my own hot sauce from the garden , ill add that to my ferments, and use my own Vinegar... You and Mom are absolute GEMS , love your vids
I love how you two teach but also show how much you enjoy doing what you do.. you two work so well together and humor is a good thing to have when going through life..thank you..
@@TheHoneysteadI couldn't find your website. Also, on demand classes would be great. Many of us are busy and don't have time for live or interactive classes but would be great to take classes on our own time.
I wanted to let you know that about a month ago I was introduced to fireside. I purchased both a jar from a girl in bluntstown. Florida better and the same day that I purchased it. I ran totally out of my neuropathy medicine. I started taking the firesider and it has done wonders for my neuropathy.
Just took a shot of my homemade fire cider... it was good for 3 very loud "WOOOs"! Wish I lived closer to you all. Would love to take one of your workshops!
Always fun to watch you two do your thing. Secondary containment is always a good idea, way ahead of it you are. Seal the first jar and take shots on the quarter jar, till it is gone.☺😁 🤩You stepped out of frame for the Shimmy, bummer.😂 Go for it Ladies, doing great and keep it going.😎
I add my shot of my fc to water or juice!!! It still works for our body and immune systems. I also do not filter down the sediment after the initial press…the fiber is great for the gut!
Love watching your channel. So good not to have blaring music in the background... I made a quart of Fire Cider and Apple Cider Vinegar in June 2021. Neither of these bottles have been decanted/strained....I just pour off what I need. I do stir the contents every few days and have not experienced any mould. The Apple Cider Vinegar has grown a Mother.... I keep both containers covered with a towel. Blessings from Sunny South Africa🌞
Good morning. We jarred our first fire cider yesterday. We plan on using the scraps the same way you did. However my wife had the idea to use our juicer to get every drop of fire cider out before dehydrating the left overs. Like your channel as well.
I worry about your throats even a sip omg..definitely wanting honey. I have not yet collected all the ingredients but hopefully in November2024, I can find enough... to start soon..🙏
It's actually a good idea to add black pepper to your turmeric fire cider. The piperine in black pepper makes the curcumin in turmeric more bio available
Just found you a couple of days ago. Your vid’s are so interesting. My first view was the turkey-tail mushroom with your grandmother. The name caught my eye first because I have had bees for years, but they left which makes me sad. Thanks for doing these educational videos.
Hi. We make fire cider in a gallon mason jar. It doesn't last long in our house. My husband takes it every morning, more often if people he works with are sick. He says he feels a difference when he doesn't take it. I need to be more diligent about taking it. I do the "shake" like you ladies do, because we take it straight.
@@TheHoneystead so I just got to looking at uline finally. The lids are phenolic. Any experience with these? Good/bad/indifferent? I was thinking metal would be necessary but maybe not 🤔 they say wide mouth but I'm guessing that's not the canning type wide mouth. Thanks in advance for any input!
Hello Friends!!! I would love to try the fire cider. Although, is it possible to make fire cider without garlic & onion? That’s something that I’ll have to research. Awe... I would so so love to attend your workshop, but not able to make it in person at this time. How wonderful for those who can!!! Congratulations on the amazing news!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Also... I ordered some tea, looking forward to receiving it. ☺️
lol In the first part as I was watching I thought they should add some black peppercorns to help with the turmeric... and now I see you guys already did it. 🥰
I think I would blend (grind) Ingredients together with the vinegar and add honey too. Then make very small jars filled with this. Use them as they are.
Have only just found your channel this evening and I just know I’ll be up all night watching the videos. I already love your channel. Do you have a website to buy shirts and do you post to Australia.
Past the lips, over the gums, look out stomach, here it comes! I heard this a long time ago its not my saying, but it seemed that it fit this situation.! Lol hehehe!
how do you add the honey, and how much? Do you just add the honey to the amber jar with the fire cider, or do you add the honey to the mason jar, and then pour it into the amber jar? Do you take a spoonful of honey and eat that, then take a shot of fire cider? I am very confused about how you physically get the honey into the fire cider, and how much you use. If you could answer this for me, I would soo much appreciate it. Thank you.
You two lady's are so much fun to watch. I would love to come to one of your work shops. I live in texas so it will be a good trip. 4 years ago I had lung cancer. After chemo and radiation I want to take my health into my own hands.
The recipe I used called for grating all the ingredients and zesting and juicing the citrus. It was fine for my first personal batch but I want to make it in bulk next time and I love seeing that you slice and chunk your ingredients
Once it’s drained before you bottle it, do you add honey to it then or do you add the honey at the time that you take a shot? Please let me know. I will be making my first batch ever tomorrow.
Question: Everything else that I have fermented, I’ve used a “pickle pipe”, or if using a regular lid, I’ve had to “burp” the ferment daily. Why do I not have to do either in this ferment? Or did I miss something? Hopefully not, I’m 3 weeks in! Thanks again for the recipe, I’m stoked to taste it!

I love fire cider. If I don't feel like a shot, I use it as a spicey salad dressing. When taking as a shot I'll add fresh lime and Himalayan salt.
Great idea!
Sounds amazing! Great idea ❤

You put the lime in the coconut….
😆
Lithium grease will stop the squeak and i believe ktsfood safe.
Kind of seems like the perfect addition to a Bloody Mary! LoL
The virtual herbal classes would be great. My daughter and I are working on this and we want to learn more.
We are actually discussing a virtual class 💛

A bit of olive oil on that press screw should silence it 😅
That shot of fire cider really made you glow. ☺
Lol 🔥🔥🔥
How wonderful that all your hard work is paying off ladies🙌🏼🐝 Well done on following your dreams and seeing them all come to fruition xx Cathi xx 😘
💛 thank you! It has been such a crazy adventure and we are so excited!!
How often should we take a shot for maximum benefit?😊
put a drop of olive oil or something on the sqeaky T handle press
Just a suggestion they have plastic hose clamps designed to help control the flow of liquids

What would you think about adding whole cloves to the fire cider?

If you partake in adult beverages, fire cider is fabulous in bloody marys
I wanted one but just found out theaters my car needed repairs and I got a new place. I was so upset that my T-shirt money went to those two things!
I just filtered mine. Over here we call it master tonic :) I want to try your recipe next time :)

Good idear 😊
My 2 nucs are going to be ready soon! I'm putting my beehives and frames together today. I'm am very, very excited
Did you grind the pepper first? I think pepper flakes need to be present during digestion to help with absorption

Side note, your skin looks beautiful! Love your videos!
🤣🤣 I love you Ladies. This would be me and my sisters!🤣
I use about 1/3 of the jar of raw honey when I make Fire Cider the other 2/3 jar will be Apple Cider Vinegar & any juice from the produce.
Well done ladies!!
Parchment paper does beautifully...loved the vid...
I'm allergic to apples 😢 but therebis a lotbof inspiration to feemented foods here! Well done!
I love your mother. Great combo
Have you tried making a relish from the fixin's?
I’ve been making fire cider for five years. So much less illnesses in our house!! Love it! I add jalapeños and Serrano’s and habaneros. Whew!!

Love your videos.

I order from Amazon Is that not good?
I've begun making tomato sauce, and wonder if the pressing could be done with a food mill. :)
Love this recipe, but I hope y'all have gotten some food grade equipment lube since this was recoreded.
I just love you guys❤. I’m definitely making it and will share
Enjoyed the video. That fire cider looked great. Hope you all have a great week. Keep on keeping on. I enjoy all that you all are doing.

Would love to hear what you will do with the strained out medium😃👍🏼. Looks amazing and congratulations on your beautiful apothecary💗
Love it! Gonna have to get me some ingredients

Would u ever add dried elderberry
Could honey be added when it's being made?
I love your ideas, they are just so amazing
💕🫖☕️😎🤩🥳👍🏻
I want to make this… but my poor super sensitive taste buds might not handle the heat…

should I store my cider in the fridge to ferment, if my vinegar bottle says refrigerate after opening?
Wish I could attend your awesome workshops! Wonderful!

Do yall make Essiac Tea?
Wonder if you would get more liquid, and easier processing if cut pieces were run through a juicer just to break it down more.
Can the honey be added to the final product/bottle? Or do you take the honey separately after pouring a shot?
Can a cold press juicer be used to press out all the goodness?
I'm so glad I found you guys!!
Once it’s drained before you bottle it, do you add honey to it then or do you add the honey at the time that you take a shot? Please let me know. I will be making my first batch ever tomorrow.
Where did you get that press hun?? I checked your amazon store but its not there!
I want to make this asap. How do you dose it?
What about the liquid on the aluminum press?
This is the first time watching you guys. What state are you in?
Love the respect you have for each other you work good together.
So glad I found you.
I am going to make fire
starter. Thank you 😊
At what point can we add honey? After filtering - and then store it in bottles?

I'm so happy 😊 for you guys. So exciting to hear you starting up your classes.
Use some oil on the threads of the press. Food grade oil that is...
