    Looks wonderful! On a side note, when you use turmeric, you should also add black pepper because it makes the turmeric more easily absorbed and bioavailable within our body.

      Turmeric is the most nasty tasting herb on the planet. My people always use a little and pickling but I think it is horrible tasting and it will give your body a stinking odor believe me that's why other people in other countries smell different than we do by using so much of that stuff. There are other herbs that are helpful and I can leave this one off the rest of my life is I am 80 and very healthy and don't need this s t i n k i n g stinking nasty tasting herb

    I made my first gallon of fire cider in August of last year. I made it with fresh ginger, turmeric, garlic, onion, cayenne peppers, black pepper, lemons, limes, cinnamon, and apple cider vinegar with the mother. I forgot about the horseradish. I pureed all the fresh ingredients in a food processor instead of chopping them. After it fermented for two months I strained it and added tart cherry juice. My next batch I will add in the horseradish and cranberries. I am using it for the cold and flu season as well as for an anti inflammatory.

But here's the thing, I have elderberry trees and make elderberry tincture and syrup, I also make fermented garlic in raw honey. So I dont think anyone is gonna get sick here because we are already boosted to the moon with good things for our immune system. Thanks for sharing! I added my elderberry to my cider and also I didn't have horseradish. But its powerful to say the least! Im going to store in my pantry as it is dark and cool. Also getting ready to strain my echinacea herb tincture, im so excited. Ive made so many tinctures and herb oils for natural medicine and I love it. Just mad some facial serums with my herbs and sweet almond oil.
    How to you make facial moisture creams. I want a cream for my face that I can add my serums and vitamins e to. Could you please share a facial cream recipe with me. Thanks sweetie you are the best I love watching all your videos!

    If something is fermenting and you didn’t intend it to, it’s always your safest bet to not eat it. Of course, there’s a great chance it’s because the apple cider itself is fermented and you added a sugar, but honey has botulism bacteria and you don’t know which bacteria is the one fermenting the product :) just a safety tip for anyone reading!

    • @alysem135
      @alysem135 Год назад +9

      This is a good safety tip. Id just like to add that it’s probably unlikely because of the pH of the apple cider vinegar. Botulism cannot survive at a pH less than 4.6 if someone did run into the situation where they are, wondering if they could use test strips. That’s what I always do to be sure my honey garlic ferment is safe 😊

YUM!🙏🏽🚀❣The non-drinkables get puree'd and used in cooking. I freeze it in ice cube trays, consumed as quickly as possible. If I had a freeze dryer (🙊🤞) I would try to dry the paste into 'health chips' as a spice. No waste!
    (BTW - Vit K1/K2 is necessary for D in order to prevent calcification and calcium going onto the bones vs lining arteries ☠. Sadly, it's rare to hear 'and take vit Ks with your D' from an average doctor).

    Just pressed my first fire cider today! It has been infusing for almost 7 weeks. Added some honey and popped it in the fridge, it tastes amazing! Got the herbs, fruit and veggies in the dehydrator as I type this to either put in capsules or to use as a yummy seasoning! Love watching you both, reminds me of my mom and I ❤😂.

    Blessings from Chicago. I did a lacto fermentation of chopped and minced ingredients for a fire cider relish. I used the liquid from my herbal kombucha scoby hotel. I drink acv everyday so I didn't need another vinegar drink. It is a great condiment.

    Hi. I have a recipe book by Rosemary Gladstar. I make a batch almost monthly. I love to see what ingredients others use in their concoctions. This month I used my fresh basil (2 kinds) fresh lemonbalm, fresh oregano (2 kinds) and a lot of the same ingredients as you. Next month I'm going to add in freeze dried elderberry, that was gifted to me. My husband and I are very interested in learning more about medicinal herbs. We are new subscribers.

    I made my first fire cider this year. I let it go a few weeks longer than it needed and it is strong. I love the idea about the cranberries and the citrus. I have to leave out the horseradish as it can interfere with my medication for my thyroid. I also can't do elderberry as it can interfere with my autoimmune disease, so I depend on the fire cider to stay healthy. Ugh Thanks for the tutorial.

      @@brigittemiller1444 Thanks, I learned watching someone else and they left it because of thyroid. I then looked it up. I also learned I can't use elderberry due to my autoimmune. UGH. I am going to try this recipe of fire cider. I like the cranberry and citrus. I may add honey to what I'm using because it's pretty potent and I literally have a small amount. With that being said, I have Not been sick at all with anything this year. Blessings

    My Rose is a climber, she has lovely yellow flowers and her hips are orange ( they look like little pumpkins 😂). I am actually reducing my rosehip and water mixture whilst writing this! I do hope the fact that her hips are orange and not red won't take anything from the flavour , then again, its sometimes exciting to be a journey of discovery. Experiencing trial and error is all part of the process I suppose. Thank you so much, Terri, for another lovely video ❤️

    My family suffer from lung issues and are picky when it comes to food and drink. I omit the more savory flavors of garlic and add mullein to my steep and jujubes (the date not candy)....i also add juniper berries, peppercorns, siczuan pepper and chili flakes sparingly so it not too spicy and grate my ginger and tumeric....it creates scobies so you know its healthy. I dont add a lot of honey so we just add some to our taste.
    Fire cider that tastes good becomes a welcome daily routine treat rather than something more reminiscent of a medicinal chore.....that the thing, you can make it your own.

    I make fermented garlic tincture and it's a gorge color. It is the ONLY thing that's been shown to stop MRSA nightmare when other options were exhausted. A few drops daily goes a long way foe the immune system anyway. Making it, however, does demand patience and (sigh) hazmat gloves/facemask when filtering and distributing into bottles. I time it so it's ready to filter and pour when I can do it outside and it's cold. 🥳🤦‍♀️
