When I was a little kid, I watched my father play the first part of The Witcher. Whenever I saw Drowner, I shouted "Drowner! Drowner!" being excited that my father is about to murder them lol

The band performing the Witcher soundtrack is called Percival. The same people also have a witcher-themed metal band called Percival Schuttenbach (no, they're not very creative with names, but their music slaps)

I always thought something like this for Bandits and Deserters. Imagine chilling with your bros while you are running away from a bloody war and random witcher shows up/ massacres everyone and loots all your stuff.
I dunno about your bandits, but mine bandits are always so happy to see that steel sword of mine they come running immediately to give me a hug.
I mean, you're known as the goddamn Butcher of Blaviken and probably the most unique looking man in the world, yet they still think you're easy prey when you accidentally run into them.
"I'm done risking my life for a bloody war I have no business being in! ... Say, who's that fellow over there with the white hair and two swords? You don't suppose that's that Witcher do you? Let's take up arms and challenge that professional monster hunter unprovoked!"
My favourite moment was when I came upon a bandit operation that had stopped attacking people in favour of robbing graves… and still killed them all. And then robbed all the nearby graves, too.
Then speaking to a peasant a while later when he says something like “they kill and steal, and they even - if you can believe it - rob graves, the bastards!”
And I’m there in the armour I bought with my grave-robbing proceeds like “haha wild.”

just in middle of a W3EE Redux campaign .....its just mind blowing how they modded the complete gameplay mechanic ...lot different from the vanilla..

You kill a lot of things in Witcher, but blasting a drowner with igni then watching it burn to death just has a distinct kind of satisfaction
and extinguish with aard, and keep repeating the cycle :D
Should've also had him putting oils on his sword, and gearing up a bunch of signs, all to kill them with a single sword stroke :)
sword!? at that point, just a single Igni or an Aard.
@@eddobh I have such a cracked igni by now(invested all i could into it) i had one fight where i tossed one igni out and ran to regain health bc the enemy was higher level and gave me quite a beating while i was in melee range..and even with the level gap and such...the darn beasty burnt to death from the after damage while i was just skirting aboutXD
That feeling when you go from deathmarch playthrough to just the story to do different path and you are so good that you don't even change starting gear

Frankly my first time meeting drowners was the reverse of this. I was low on health, didn't know how to meditate yet, so i see some blue people chilling on the beach and i think, cool, maybe i can buy some bread or something. Next thing i know they are kicking my ass.
Haha drowner bread should definitely be a thing in the Witcher 4!

I've owned it for a few years, still haven't actually finished it, not for want of trying. It's a great game, but fuck me does it drag on towards the end of the main story. I was relieved when i finally got to the dlc, yet I'm still sitting half way on that after about a year. It's one of those kinda games.
