just finished this yesterday. it's not a great game by any means, but it's a decent one and worth your time. it's not that addicting like some games out there, but it's quite fun and the dialogue is great.
KEVIN, you're one of the best reviewers in gamespot, please you (or anyone else there) make another review for Infamous 2 and remove the disaster that TOM Mc SHEA made
Too bad a lot of screen space is lost when playing co-op. I'm going to probably rent this, as I'm only wanting to play it with a friend for fun. (offline co-op, splitscreen)
yo Gamespot - clone Kevin VanOrd so he can review every game. I enjoy his reviews probably more than any other. Always fair and in depth. Good Work Kevin.
@HikaZee I bought a pre-order version anyway. The game is really fun. I still think the wasted screen space is a shame. (But I also think that of Halo, though that is probably the best game I own in my opinion)
@EcHoRenegade well, skyrim is made by them, while brink and this were developed by another company they own. they just published it so dont worry too much man :D
@leandrasin i agree partially, some of the gamespot reviewers nitpick the shit out of some things while completely missing out great aspects in a game, sometimes ignis just right when they are straight to the point both sites have their share of good and bad reviewers though
i guess i am part of the select few that can look past the flaws and enjoy the game. I started playing last night and while it is not anything special it was a lot of fun for me. I did notice some of the gripes the reviewer mentioned and he is correct with most. I gave the game a shot and i am enjoying it. Would i buy? prolly not (got from gamefly), unless they patch some issues and support with some nice DLC.
@kingliamidas they do... if you bother going to their site that is... The full review is over there... the video ones contain just a fraction of the full.
The only reason i look at reviews is to stop the video and read the comments because the real gamers know best, reviewers focus on the negatives and it must suck to be them, im able to enjoy almost any game even if it scores really low and i can appreciate art and story telling whilst seeing past gameplay bugs.
@BlindColor360 About this " this isn't the first game that suffered from day 1 release issues." I just wanted to say let it be known the best example of a major game that had day 1 release problems was Black Ops. Playing in 3D mode would crash the game giving a out of memory error (ps3). I had to wait 3 weeks for a patch but I'm just glad it was fixed.
He has it right, I was forgiving of the flaws and passed them by as I chopped more Wargar heads off. And the dialogue wasn't to shabby either, absolutely knew what I was thinking. Especially at one point about Seraphine's and Elara's outfits.
@Lildimxd DEFINETLY!, im playing with my girlfriend and its hell fun, i recommend the high difficulty with a Friend, its sure Hard, you dont cover and gain health like most shooters. Its also definetly not short if you like to explore. Have Fun.
This reviewer is fair. Atleast he's saying why he disliked it instead of saying it's bad because it is. He goes into detail of the problems, but he does tell the good sides of it. If reviewers point out only the bad in a game then anybody who bases there buys off of reviews will not get a game they may have really liked. I'm sticking with Gamespot.
@R1kuTakao oh come on man. rage is being made by id software, the guys that started all fps'. i dont think itll be bad. besides, bethesda didnt make the game they only published those.
@LightningSamus I never said it was hard at all and I beat the game on all difficulties. I pretty much pwn everyone with one gun in this game too so yeah it's pretty damn easy, List of powerful weapons: Knock knock, sniper rifle, maria, power fist, vince's submachine gun, magnum, thump thump, every shotgun, minigun, flamer, fatboy, every energy weapon, and a bunch more. Sounds like Fallout 3. Also, texture problems where the ground will be blurry and sometimes you fall through. Fun game.
He obviously isn't reviewing the PC version because it looks great and doesn't have half the issues mentioned here. With that said, it had more potential than it's living up to. So far I'm about three hours in. It's enjoyable in the same way as "Damnation". I love cheesy games and this is wonderful CHEESE!!
@SpaceRazzer H:DF's split screen mode really isn't that bad.. Minimal space is wasted, it looks perfectly fine and playable on HD screens at-least 20". If you want to see wasted screen space go look at a Lost Planet 2 (PS3) split screen video, you'll realize H:DF spoils in comparison and you'll come back without complaints about it. ^_^ people are to damn picky
game sucked on 360 and surprisingly did well with PC! on PC i found minor glitches which wont affect your gameplay! on 360 each and everything mentioned in this video was there and was frustrating! thanks gamespot for this legit review!
@wootsausemanman Haven't played Hunted so can't comment on that, but yea nearly all RPG's i've played have those, Dragon age Origins + 2, Final Fantasy all those.
@Lildimxd The Best of Hunted is definetly the Coop. No matter how good you are at shooting or your ability with hack & slash games, you NEED your partner, and you will die often if you dont work as a team thats what makes the Difference with this game, that and the difficulty. Go for It.
Well, this game is not that bad but you cant even jump, not enough spells, theres only 1 potion you can carry, and it gets you bored quickly doing the same stuff all over again, and whats the point of the gold when you cant use it in single player, this game could be so much better, like using gold to buy armors, weapons that actualy doesnt loose their enchantments after few hits and stuff,i mostly kept playing this game becayse ellara is so damn sexy ;)
No game is perfect & Hunted has it's flaws but this game recieves far to much harsh criticism.. Hunted is an excellent local & online co-op dungeon crawling RPG which is sure to provide you with plenty of fun co-op challenge! My friends and I loved every minute of the game. 1:14 I guess I'm just one of those patient gamers he mentions who can overlook minor and cosmetic issues to see a game for what it really is! ;) PS this game is not for inexperienced/casual gamers
I actually agree with the issues. Been playing the game 5 hours and after watching this review, I'm starting too see where the games lacked. It's not horrible, but it's just very mediocre that's good for a few playthroughs with friends. It had some very small bits that were instantly overshadowed by the boring mediocre elements.
@LightningSamus Cant help but wonder if it's the publisher that's the problem. I loved NV, but NV, brink and now hunted all felt quite rushed, as though they got set too tight a deadline. I wonder if that's Bethesda giving no room for pushing deadlines back. Yeah it's annoying when they are pushed back, but giving Brink and Hunted another year or something could have made them truly great games..
@SlapHappyJesus i think a high 7 or an 8 wouldve fit it better than a 6 though. ive been playing it almost non-stop and have had shit loads of fun with it. of course that is my opinion, take it as you will.
I think it at least deserves a 7.5, but that would be for the Xbox 360. I do it on splitscreen on a small TV, and though at times we have trouble spotting things, most of the time there is no issue at all. It isn't as buggy as the computer version, with very few skips and collision problems. There are plenty of sidequest areas, and they can add a few hours to the game. The dialogue is rarely dull, and the combat is pretty good. So a 6? Sorry, but that doesn't make sense.
I really like this game! No ones saying anything GOOD about it!!! Elara is cool and Paddock-Krudge is a big dummy!! This game is fun, challenging, co op online a really well done fantasy game on of the best games I've ever played!!! :-D
@ryanthemadman1 I see where you are coming from. There are plenty of games which received less than stellar reviews that I thoroughly enjoyed. At the same time, games, while they can be fun, must also be rated on their technical and design flaws, something this game has in spades.
I agree game reminds me of Blood Omen, sloppy at times but pretty cool also. If you want a perfect game we know which ones to get. But if you want a fun game, that can often be easy to find, lol when i was 14 if you spent 15 bucks you got crap. Now you can get great, fun games for cheaper then that.
I haven't played this game, but let me say this: look up "reviews" or impressions videos by regular gamers on RUclips. Find people who put together decent videos that you enjoy. Regular gamers are so much better than these big-name sites like GameSpot, GameTrailers or IGNorant. I find these reviewers to be some of the least helpful and most biased.
@StopForChildren At what point did they say it sucks and don't play it? If you actually watched the video it says the game doesn't live up to it's hype but is worth playing if can get over the many bugs and small annoyances.
WOW this message is to all kind of gamers. IGNORE IGN AND GAMESPOT REVIEW. THIS GAME IS FUN and if you try it on HARD DIFFICULTY and with a HUMAN PARTNER is GREAT and its definetly NOT SHORT. You cover and you dont gain health like most shooters. PLAY IT GUYS! and if you still are IGN or GAMESPOT Fanboys at least go Rent it. HAVE FUN EVERYONE, I know i am.
@BrainBucket78 Sorry, I just get tired of people spending 97% of a review on the negative aspects of a game. Unless its something like Final Fantasy, one of the Halo games, or some other game with a strong history, they rarely bother to tell you what could possibly be good about it. I understand what it takes to make a review, I just think that too many poeple have their standards set too high and they can't begin enjoy something that is any less than perfect.
@BeautifulMawMusic Well, if you're too lazy to adapt, then don't. If you just want to play games that run you through the same paces to reach the same results, you are more than welcome to. I, however, desire a more interesting approach to gaming. But its ok if you don't, I can't expect everyone to be open minded and determined.
@HikaZee I and a friend of mine are far from inexperienced, or casual gamers (if I could substitute one thing to live on another it'd be sleep for video games instead), and we would die every two minutes, and then we would start arguing with each other (we RARELY do that) and then we'd get pissed off and turn the game off. Just to have a horrible ending (one of us ended up dieing). Ya this game was not as good as it could have been, and even patient gamers like myself got sick of it quickly.
@BlindColor360 Cmon man, i really don't want to bash you, but in oblivion there were MAAAANY areas to go. Agreed about Dragon Age 2, it was ridiculously retarded to design the game the way they did. Still enjoyed the as a hardcore fan, but it left many things to be desired.. You are exaggerating about Oblivion i think. But anyway i get your point.. Dungeon crawling games need to be rebooted.. Ok, let me say one thing to begin with CAN EVERYONE STOP SHIT RAPING 99% OF ALL THE GAMES THAT COME INTO EXISTANCE?! 8 hours for an RPG game WTF... I miss the old times where RPG's were much better :(

@MaxDorval not saying that... IMO both reviews said the same but the GS one delivered more content instead of the common from IGN: "Just because...".
@wootsausemanman Can't argue with taht ^^ But games today also have those filler quests. Maybe except The Witcher.
@EcHoRenegade well, skyrim is made by them, while brink and this were developed by another company they own. they just published it so dont worry too much man :D
good review, its a medium game that can be enjoyable despite his problems
This sounds like it's up my alley, but this guy does sound like he did play the game.
I'll wait til' the price drops.
@leandrasin
i agree partially, some of the gamespot reviewers nitpick the shit out of some things while completely missing out great aspects in a game, sometimes ignis just right when they are straight to the point

i like the split screen and seeing as hardly any games have split screen i dont really think u can fault it
So what is the final score?
thats why I love IGN they always give a verdict score and in most cases its right.
found this game for $ 20
Was wondering if i should buy it for that price think it's worth it
@kingliamidas they do... if you bother going to their site that is... The full review is over there... the video ones contain just a fraction of the full.

I really love gamespots's reviews
I plan on renting and playing this with my brother. Is the split-screen really that bad of an issue, or did GS just over exaggerate it?
@TurningJappanesse bethesda didnt even developed this, just published it same with brink
@abro1122 remember man, they only published those, they didnt make them
He has it right, I was forgiving of the flaws and passed them by as I chopped more Wargar heads off. And the dialogue wasn't to shabby either, absolutely knew what I was thinking. Especially at one point about Seraphine's and Elara's outfits.
If your planning on playing this game then PLEASE PLEASE pick the PC version which has most of the issues here solved
I want a adventure game that supports local co-op that i can play with my sister. Would this be a good choice?
Oh Kevin, I love your reviews.
@Lildimxd DEFINETLY!, im playing with my girlfriend and its hell fun, i recommend the high difficulty with a Friend, its sure Hard, you dont cover and gain health like most shooters.
Its also definetly not short if you like to explore. Have Fun.
Pleasure cruise the she-elf said, it's like Frodo would tell Gandalf, that orc looks like he was hit by a Sherman tank!
@wootsausemanman But still most of the RPG's during the SNES era didn't lack in either quality nor quantity.
The only good thing about this game was the dark atmosphere the insanely good story and the characters
Did anyone really have high hopes for this? It just never stood out.
I'm sticking with Gamespot.
i got it at 15 bucks so im satisfied. it was pretty good overall; i like doing the bow skills the melee combat seemed unfun to me,.
@Shadedgale yes ive played it..dissapointing
@lazyargos it looks that way right?
Why does GS have adverts but IGN does not?
@R1kuTakao oh come on man. rage is being made by id software, the guys that started all fps'. i dont think itll be bad. besides, bethesda didnt make the game they only published those.
@StopForChildren i could get it for 19.99$ do you think it's worth, is there is enough variety in crucible?
Love the Gamespot Reviews... IGNs always, short, unconcise, and sometimes it looks like they're on the publishers payroll...
@LightningSamus I never said it was hard at all and I beat the game on all difficulties. I pretty much pwn everyone with one gun in this game too so yeah it's pretty damn easy, List of powerful weapons: Knock knock, sniper rifle, maria, power fist, vince's submachine gun, magnum, thump thump, every shotgun, minigun, flamer, fatboy, every energy weapon, and a bunch more. maybe on the sequel fix all and then be perfect
This review is spot on. Such a great concept lost in such a clumsy game.
@SpaceRazzer

It's a review. It's meant to be critical.
ive heard this guy review another game, hes a good reviewer, better than the others they have in this
You can't spell "Gamespot" without pot. Or is it the other way around.
@wootsausemanman Dragon age origins + 2 as in Dragon age 2...
@atyabbaig More like a Tolkien Gears of War
@gri22lybear Uh, how do you make a review of ANY kind without any bias?
i knew this game was going to be mostly bad when i first saw it
@LightningSamus Cant help but wonder if it's the publisher that's the problem. I loved NV, but NV, brink and now hunted all felt quite rushed, as though they got set too tight a deadline. I agree. I had a lot of fun with this game.
Thumps up for Master Chief and the fridge explosion XD.

I think his review is right. Appart from the finishers. You know , in modern games , invisible walls shouldnt exist. Thats just called laziness
what i heard: yea its good. buuuuuut...... FLAWS FLAWS FLAWS FLAWS FLAWS FLAWS. guess this is one game i wont be buying

imma let you finish but project offset was one of the best games never to be released of all time... of all time.
@MyAgrael they weren't voting on the graphics, super meat boy is a good game
WOW this message is to all kind of gamers.
IGNORE IGN AND GAMESPOT REVIEW.
THIS GAME IS FUN and if you try it on HARD DIFFICULTY and with a HUMAN PARTNER is GREAT and its definetly NOT SHORT.
You cover and you dont gain health like most shooters.
PLAY IT GUYS! and if you still are IGN or GAMESPOT Fanboys at least go Rent it.
HAVE FUN EVERYONE, I know i am.

This was a fair review, if you think this game is good, you haven't played any good games.
@HikaZee I and a friend of mine are far from inexperienced, or casual gamers (if I could substitute one thing to live on another it'd be sleep for video games instead), and we would die every two minutes, and then we would start arguing with each other (we RARELY do that) and then we'd get pissed off and turn the game off. actually u can get this for 12$ on ebay now
can anyone recommend a good pc game?
@slain313 no...the point is that you shouldn't have to adapt.....
@EcHoRenegade its coming to xbox 360
lol there was so much hype for this game. Pity to see it fall short.
I think dungeon siege will be a good one though..
@youbetterbelievehah the 100+ hours ive immersed myself into dragon age origins would disagree with you, but your free to your own opinion.
@Snowwww you don`t thumb down because of the game, that way you don`t help gamespot at all.
Ok, let me say one thing to begin with CAN EVERYONE STOP SHIT RAPING 99% OF ALL THE GAMES THAT COME INTO EXISTANCE?! Its like none of the reviewers ever want to be happy with any of these things anymore. And I think that this is a great game. I didn't even run into half of the problems this guy was talking about. Sure there were some frustrating moments, but my friend and I just had to learn to adapt and overcome. And if you can't do that, well I'm sorry you're dumb or unmotivated.
@seigfreeg I like how they are still playing it reguardless :)
@AntonAnk mellow sir.. everybody entitled to their opinion..
@0424john but you can tell that from any other reviewer that only has a graduation scale of 0 to 10... Plus the infamous 2 review just goes to prove the payroll point...
@tadboy3 I hope you mean the first one
How come "everyone" HATED this AWESOME GAME? It's simple, but totally effective! It's not an "open-world RPG." It's a Hack 'n' Slash Dungeon Crawl. The combat is so fun, solid & satisfying. The voice acting is superb & most graphics are decent while there are some "cardboard" textures. I have the PS3 version & have had no problems with glitches whatsoever. I also like the puzzles & loot in this. It may not be known as a "masterpiece," but in my opinion, it is a VERY well executed & a unique, fun experience! ;) *^_^*
"Forget split screen co op tho all the wasted screen space makes it a frustrated diester."
This statement couldn't be more false. It's like this guy hates split screen. I know some people do and that's ok but split screen in this game is not frustrating nor a diester, it's fun.
Frustrating and a diester is playing RE 5 on professional mode with the computer A.I.
Bethesda employees: Screw this game, skyrim will be released on November, so why care about this game? Release it the way it is now! :P
@xynth101088 I know, but most gamers will be dissapointed cause Ign or Gamespot Review to this game and probably will never play it, im just saying this game is worth, Demons Souls has tons of Glitches and nobody cared, and personally i hadnt suffer any glitch or bug, probably cause its the Ps3 version.
i will still get it but not until its 20 box used
Some idiot seller on Amazon shipped this game instead of the one I ordered:/Now I have to face the inconvenience of RMA...
Hmm... all reviewers keep saying it's a bad game but I can't stop being exited over it, and it's been like 2 years now...
weird...
