actually we need a Queen album with Brian and Roger taking the reigns and doing all the composing and lead singing and anyone else they bring in maybe to replace john on bass and a keyboard player who could sing background on choruses. A whole album with songs like 'No One But You', 'Driven By You' etc..
@@kurtmorr Brian and Roger are both competent piano/keyboard players and Brian has done the bass parts for some of his solo work as well as sharing bass duties with Paul Rodgers for the "Cosmos Rocks" album. So I'd say that between the two of them Brian and Roger could put together an album all by themselves. Only hiccup might be harmony vocals but they can do wonders in the studio with layering/multi-tracking (the opening "is this the real life" part of Bohemian Rhapsody is just Freddie by himself layered over and over). @@CaptainCardsworth well my point is if they decide to do another album under the Queen label, Brian and Roger need to take the reins and IF they feel the need to bring someone else in it should only to be in the background. This album is so CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED and unnoticed, it's nuts. To me this is a Top 10 album of all time. People who miss this album and song have no BLOODY CLUE what they're missing.
I listened to Resurrection, an excellent song for composition, arrangements, voice and that nostalgic taste of rock, even if with a great touch of new mastery. I loved Queen so much, no one excluded, but in Brian May the spirit of their music echoes. I don't want to make comparisons but his "Science of Sounds" sometimes reappears with his great rock music, in his "solos", taking up the harmony that he has always been able to insert and that I recognize even with my eyes closed. He and his "unique instrument" transport the listener to the dimension in which he plays... a dimension of the universe. Thanks Brian May above all for existing...💖

Queen has always been one of my favorite bands, since I picked up their first LP; the virtuosity of Brian's playing has always moved me beyond words. Thank you Brian, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me a lifetime of excellent music.
Glorious memories: Early '90s, that song blasting on headphones, on my bike, hard on the throttle on the autobahn. These were the times, we were young'n'stuff. And to be honest: Sometimes I'm baffled that we actually survived.
It's originally a Cozy instrumental called Ride To Win from his The Drums Are Back album, Brian guested on guitar, it only became Resurrection a bit later.

This song is awesome!! Brian was the " Metal " in Queen. As iconic and distinct Brian's sound is guitar and vocally the Drums of the late great Cozy Powell is just as iconic. What a line up.
I mean Queen was one of the best things that ever happened in music history (which is understandable when four such talented people get in one room). But man, he's pretty damn amazing in solo as well! Why was this so unnoticed I cannot comprehend.
I've always been a big Queen fan, but this solo effort by Brian is my absolute #1 favorite song of all time! Just awe-inspiring, and the operatic vocals send a chill up anyone's spine even some 30 years later.
