I never talked to a band member from the voices but I'm just so sure that they LOVE playing rock and metal songs. You can just feel it, they were all insane performances by the bands.

The german lady not only kiiled the vocals but she also managed to get the audience crazy, total respect from Greece
I highly admire these judges for knowing how to appreciate and seeing heavy metal as a genre of true talent and not just mindless screaming. Even if some are not into it, they knew how to enjoy the performances of these singers.
The guys who sang Bodies killed it, awesome vocals, and the guy who sang Iron Maiden had great energy. My favorites

@@radupopescu2370 For me, it has nothing to do with "comparing to the original". It has to do with having to do this for 3 dozen people or more, many wanting the music to fit their individual singing style, not to mention the multiple genres to begin with.

I just wanna give props to the studio band from the Lamb of God cover. That was a magnificent sound. Most of the other songs were kind of popularized, but that version was absolutely killer.

Props to the guy who sang cemetery gates. He had a great rendition almost on par with the original.
It was a very bold choice, too, though I suspect he would have chosen a different song if the auditions were full songs and not just a small part. The end of that song is just insane. Cemetery Gates is definitely one of my top ten favorite songs, if not in the top five. Phil's singing and Darrell's guitar work on that song were an absolute masterpiece.

I'm not one of those, "this band saved me" type of people (and I'm not saying this doesn't happen, but to me, it seems way more people say that just as a general saying at this point rather than actually meaning it), but this music really helped me break out of my shell more. Would love to hear him do some Linkin Park, mudvayne and some older Atreyu, but atreyu would have both of them cause i wanna hear the singer bits and how he would do with it. The guy who did spit it out did a really good job as well!! Mongolia one was pretty enjoyable mainly to watch the ladies face in response to him singing it had me dying. The guy singing pantara though... seriously made me feel all the emotions. Something about Finish metal just is *chef kiss* well as well as Scandinavian ones

None of the judges know how to work with these singers. Even though it's a talent and a few people have this ability at this level, they are not given the opportunity because the judges don't have this ability, knowledge or gifting to do it to help give feedback or much less develop their singers. They should have a hard rock metal artist on the panel to judge.

Watching Ivan’s reactions are one of the most amazing things to behold. Dude REALLY enjoys music, I love to watch him. Once a kid did Show Me How to Live by Audioslave…after this guy’s very well received audition, Ivan smacks the buzzer and runs to grab a guitar and then plays as the kid resings the song. Hope that kid knows what an opportunity that was.
The reason i like the voice is that the main judges dont judge the book by the cover. Every book gets read thoroughly. Other shows can't let you be yourself, they judge on looks first.

Because their Finnish and think too long😂 the guys who took him just wanted to hear him all the way to the end. The other 3 judges don't prefer metal, they sing and do more like pop songs.
The dude made it pretty far in the competition in the end. There was another dude singing metal too and he came second in the whole competition. It was my favorite season of The Voice of Finland.

And this is why The Voice "of anywhere else" is SOOOOO much better than in America. Other nations aren't afraid to take risks. Sadly we just want a groomed pop star. Everywhere else, it's about all genres of music.

I couldn’t agree more. This is MY genre, and it’s a genre I can do WELL! However, I have auditioned twice now, several years apart, and they have said the same thing; “We’re just not ready for a metal artist. Maybe next year.” Honestly, i think it’s harder to be able to do Metal, and do it well, versus pop, country, and basically anything you hear in the top 40. Because of the vocal dynamics, and being able to do it WITHOUT damaging your chords, it takes a lot of discipline.

Not so much but yes they tend to be little bit more all around, but nevertheless from my experience voice is a freaking joke anyway. If you want to create music and leave a name behind you then better start working on your own, voice is just a show nothing more, and they only looking for those who can support the lifestyle they want to preserve. They don't really care about music, all they want is to gain more money.
Rick Snowdon in the UK was a rare exception on that one a few years ago but you're totally right!

Those singers are rock gods. For me especially the duo who sing "Bodies" is amazing.The orchestra in the back is already perfect. Most of the songs they play are hard-to-play songs.

We have nothing but metal singers in Finland :D
There are tons of metal singers in the voice of finland and I believe that all of them knew Pantera. The guy who sang Panter got in to the semifinals. He was in the battles with another metal singer, who lost, but got taken to another team and then got to the finals and finished second. Search: The Voice Of Finland, Duality. That was their battle.
Respect for all the contestants, they all are keeping Metal alive. Ghost walking was my fav. Lamb of God would be so proud of her.
