Same sentiments. I have been a loyal PS fan for nearly 30 years, ever since my late dad bought me a PS1 in 1998. And it has been one heck of a pleasant ride with Sony's exclusive gems over the years. Now all grown up and married, I have passed on the joy of gaming by buying my son a PS5, and the journey will continue.

The biggest jump in PlayStation to me will always be PS2 to PS3. Going from wired to wireless controllers, memory cards to internal memory, wired online to wireless and a dedicated home UI and stores were such massive changes.

I met my husband because of Playstation. We met in 2000 looking at Final Fantasy 9 at our local flea market. We started dating after, at the age of 10. We are still together and just turned 33. 3 kids and many hard days later, we still relax and play ❤ Thank you, Playstation, for giving me the life I have.

One of the best things any gaming manufacturer/developer has ever done. Whoever came up with and produced this needs BIG kudos (and a pay rise!.... keep them!) Perfectly captured what it means to be a gamer. From someone who picked up their playstation 1 on release day in 1995 and has been on the journey since, this is really special.

My dad bought me PS1 on Christmas 1995. I saw the wrapped box under the tree on Christmas Eve and knew exactly what it was! My parents let me open one gift on Christmas Eve…. I was ecstatic! Opened the PlayStation and got it setup with the demo disk… best Christmas ever! Miss you dad!
My dad got me the ps1 and twisted metal 2 for Christmas way back when. The friday night blockbuster runs for games after school and staying up all night with my best friend all weekend will always be the best of memories

I remember I was 11 when my grandpa surprised us with the original Playstation. We weren't even familiar but he always read up on tech and was a huge fan of Sony, and when he gave us the Playstation, he said "This is going to be the biggest thing in video games, just watch."

At four years old I got a PlayStation 1, I learned to play Gran Turismo, Tekken 1 and 2, Overboard, Puzzle Bubble. Then, at eight years old, I was given the PlayStation 2. San Andreas, Tekken 5, Need for Speed... it's a miracle I didn't melt it. Now, with PS5, beyond all the problems and mistakes that Sony can make, when I turned on the console and heard the sound of the PS1, I was moved. Thank you. The fact he only got one second of screen time is a crime. Crash was THE game when you got a PlayStation. Gran Turismo is what I fell in love with but Crash was PlayStation.

I'm 36 now and my mom is 74. She got me my PS1 in 1999. In 2004-2008-ish, she played Harvest Moon:AWL on my Playstation 2 for 10-14+ hours a day, starting a new game from scratch everytime she finished it. She played it so much that the HM:AWL MENU/HUD burned itself onto our Sony Trinitron/WEGA TV. So even when we watched regular TV, you'd still see HM:AWL on the screen. Wish I could share an actual photo it, it was hilarious. I've almost completed my little Playstation family and I'll always be a Playstation fangirl forever. Thank you for all these years and more years to come, Playstation!
Getting a ps1 in 1999 is late but at least she bought you games for it my mum never got me any games for it. I got it in 1997 and I just played the demo that came for it for 3 years until my mum bf started to get me games slowly over time lol

I remember I was 11 when my grandpa surprised us with the original Playstation. We weren't even familiar but he always read up on tech and was a huge fan of Sony, and when he gave us the Playstation, he said "This is going to be the biggest thing in video games, just watch."

At four years old I got a PlayStation 1, I learned to play Gran Turismo, Tekken 1 and 2, Overboard, Puzzle Bubble. Then, at eight years old, I was given the PlayStation 2. San Andreas, Tekken 5, Need for Speed... it's a miracle I didn't melt it. Now, with PS5, beyond all the problems and mistakes that Sony can make, when I turned on the console and heard the sound of the PS1, I was moved. Thank you. We players have brought you this far, but you gave us childhood and continue to do so now.

The fact he only got one second of screen time is a crime. Crash was THE game when you got a PlayStation. Gran Turismo is what I fell in love with but Crash was PlayStation.
I'm so angry without Crash Bandicoot the PlayStation wouldn't be who it is today... also I mean I am thankful that crash is at least in this video but he should have got more screen time

I have been here from the beginning (i'm 45) this video made me tear up especially the transition from the OG Final Fantasy 7 to the Remake. I have alot of fond memories playing all generations of the Playstation. Thank you Sony Playstation. Thank you for 30 years of memories.

Shouting downstairs to my dad in near hysterics to get him to come see how lifelike Gran Turismo 1 looked on my 14" TV... Weeks and weeks and weeks after school trying to get the gold A license test times in the black RX7 and the red GT-R... PlayStation taught me to be appreciative and persistent, thank you SCEE!
I remember telling my friend that I couldn't imagine games looking any better than that 60fps nighttime track in GT1. They had to make better TVs to make better looking games 😂

I'm 32 years old, and I loved seeing ICO, The Last Guardian, Sly Cooper, Astro Bot and many other of the smaller titles in there. I also love plenty of the bigger ones, but it was just nice to see. Here's to another 30 years!

I'm 36 now and my mom is 74. She got me my PS1 in 1999. In 2004-2008-ish, she played Harvest Moon:AWL on my Playstation 2 for 10-14+ hours a day, starting a new game from scratch everytime she finished it. She played it so much that the HM:AWL MENU/HUD burned itself onto our Sony Trinitron/WEGA TV. So even when we watched regular TV, you'd still see HM:AWL on the screen. Wish I could share an actual photo it, it was hilarious. I've almost completed my little Playstation family and I'll always be a Playstation fangirl forever. Thank you for all these years and more years to come, Playstation!
Getting a ps1 in 1999 is late but at least she bought you games for it my mum never got me any games for it. I got it in 1997 and I just played the demo that came for it for 3 years until my mum bf started to get me games slowly over time lol
