This is something I've overlooked for all these years, but this is the closest thing we have to a Queen performance in 1989. Freddie there, singing with his half mic stand, graciously walking all over the stage and controlling our attention as the great performer he was. This is how things should continue to up to this day, it's such a shame he's not here with us.
I thought the same thing when he started the song with the fist in the air. It was a one song stage show with many of his signature moves. So loved and so missed Freddie. ❤️

Coleman Trebor . I agree with Tom. I also don't believe that may was a great writer. Brian May wrote very few hit songs with queen. In contrast to deacon and Mercury who made most of queens hits. I feel as if out of respect you should not use their friend as a selling point for concerts. Queen aren't making music for a reason. They've made little or no new songs. I think instead of queen monopoly there should just be queen music.

What you say about Freddie is very true, however, he had a reason to get up in the morning and stay on his feet. He had friends, family and fans who stood by him and still stand by him even today. Most victims of AIDS didn’t, everyone they loved and whom they thought loved them took of running. They had nothing to go on for that’s why they didn’t have the strength Freddie had.

Although I read that during recording there were a lot of doubles because Freddie was a perfectionist and then he was not so agile and strong. You know, I truly love this song. It's angry, and it should be after the way the media treated the band; especially Freddie. This song should be an icon, yet it's pushed to the back because it sends an obvious message.
I'll never forgive those involved in the British press for what they did to Freddie. He wasn't the only one of course. Disgrace.

Queen never were the critics' or press favourite but as Freddie would have said "fuck them!" They treated him abominably in the months before his passing. When he died and they told on the news, they were so disrespectful: "Queen, the nickname you give to gay people; He was reported for obscene acts and accused of violence against a 9 year old child". They even defined Barcelona as "an ugly hybrid of lyric (sorry, I'm not sure if it's the right translation) and rock"!
Also, when they had to mention The Show Must Go On, they said "THIS The Show Must Go On", like it was some kind of crap!

He’s sick, moving around like he’s so strong. His beard and full face we know is evident of illness. This doesn’t break his energy and voice in this video. He knew he could do this to mark himself forever in our world. I look forward to hearing his voice one day as I pass into the next realm of existence. What a remarkable year this has been with the overflowing of wonder queen music everywhere.

I personally listen to kpop AND Queen and other gods of rock music. Why can’t a person enjoy both? Why is kpop judged so much? my favorite Queen song actually, which is surprising since I usually love pure rock sound without too many sound effects. this song however has a crazy life of its own and no matter how many times I hear it, it always has the same mesmerizing effect on me
Maybe wasn't that popular in UK and US but that was one of the most popular songs in English language back in 95/96 around Europe and South America too.. i remember watching this video often back in Venezuela and this song was well played in radios around the world like Heaven For Everyone both from the Made In Heaven Album

I mean it’s absolutely incredible that a band nearly 20 years in the business at that point still produced classics. That’s all Queen put out from start to finish. Truly incredible talent. Biggest regret was not being born to see them in concert.

To clarify, The Misunderstood Assassin, I did not really appreciate being told “welcome to real music world“. I was born in 1980 and, though the only part of the Queen catalog that came my way before Freddie Mercury died was the music from Flash Gordon, I heard plenty of other “real music“ in the interim. I know many people think of “Queen” as just Freddie. 4 genius misfits who don’t belong together have created masterpiece after masterpiece. That wouldn’t have been possible without every single one of them. Greatest rock BAND of all time. 👌❤️
The songs each individual artist has written is mind blowing. Their skill with song writing exceeds any artist of today. Freddie: Bohemian Rhapsody, Roger Taylor: Radio GaGa, John Deacon: I Want To Break Free, Brian May: '39. Just to name a VERY few.

Nic M agree it was a great look. However it wasn’t a choice. At this time Freddie had progressed to full blown aids. He was getting sarcoma lesions on his jawline. He grew it to hide it. Also he was very ill in the video. You can clearly see he’s losing weight and the make up to cover the not so obvious gaunt look
