The legendary Sir Brian May (musician, scientist, and real-life knight), Eddie Van Halen, Alan Gratzer, and the rest of the band -- "always daring and courageous", bringing back music that should never be forgotten. Long live Star Fleet, and love to all those who are no longer with us.
Is this high art? No. Will this ever be a routine entry in 'Top 100 Rock Songs' polls? Probably not. Is this one of the greatest examples of creating awesome music for the sake of the music, and hanging out with your friends, and impressing the hell out of your kid because you can, because you're Brian F'ing May? Could be.
My dad got this whole set for me when I was 4 in 1989. I watched it religiously to the point it drove my dad crazy. He would say lamia save me lamia. Lol cuz it drove him nuts. I lost one of my vhs tapes years ago of an episode. But thank God for dvds. Cuz now I can show my own son these. It's crazy I never knew Eddie was the guitar playing as I have been huge fan since I was. Same with Brian. ❤
I can remember back in the early 90's reading about this Star Fleet project that Brian May did with Edward Van Halen. This is my very first time hearing this, and I must say that I'm blown away.
Absolutely brilliant! What a blast from the past that now sounds like the future! Thank you Sir Brian for restoring this wonderful work featuring our beloved Edward Van Halen! We all love you so much! 🌟🚀👾🤘✴ ❤🤍🖤🎸👑

Amazing. Such great memories of watching this show as a child. Thank you Brian for taking the time to restore and share these projects, they mean a lot to us.
And to think, here is 'Transformers' before its time give or take a year or two. Not to mention I remember reading 'Hulk' comic books as a kid where he battled the QUINTRONIC MAN. And needless to say, this is Japanese children's TV sci-fi at its BEST. Thank you Sir Brian for restoring this cool stuff.
There really was a trend of mecha cartoons in the 80s I noticed, Transformers and Voltron come to mind. I wasn’t born yet in the 80s, I’m a 90s kid lol I had no idea “Star Fleet” was an actual show back then. Song definitely sounded like a theme song…whelp I guess in a way it was 😅😅😅
2:22 kids, back in the day there was this instrument called an "electric guitar" and the people who were really good on it played these things called "solos". Just thought I'd tell you that since I haven't heard one since the 90s.
I saw this video around March '84, when It was aired in spanish tv, in the days of the premiere in Spain of the iconic videos "Radio Gaga" and Van Halens "Jump". I remember to have dreamed with the images and music of "Starfleet" in those days, being just a toddler :-) Due that fascination, I love this clip so much. Its great to see it in a great quality. When EVH has nothing to prove and is is given a blank slate….he really goes to another level. He probably did all the guitars in one take like Beat It for Michael Jackson.
