Freddie is the best lead singer/frontman of all time. Brian is one of the best guitarists of all time and might be a better songwriter than Freddie Brian clearly wrote this with Freddie in mind as a singer. He managed to make this song his alone.

Makes me both laugh and sad that he doesn't think he's a particularly great singer. Back to the Light is an *incredible* album, and I am so, so, so excited that it's finally getting the attention and recognition it deserves, all these years later. Never pre-ordered something so fast. This new 2021 mix sounds awesome (can't wait for the remaster of 'Resurrection') and I just know the whole package is going to be flawless. A true singer, a true guitarist, composer, and frontman. Fantastic. Back to the Light is a proper rock record, thirty years on.

I totally agree with Lindsey. Mercury and the boys write excellent songs...but Brian is a smidge better. His songs always move the heart and soul. "Gimme the Prize" makes me feel like I can call down thunderbolts, whilst "Sail away sweet sister" brings me to tears. Brian is a master of Heavenly metal. (Resurrection anyone?)

I e had the privilege to see Brian in 98 solo and he was amazing. Seen him 5 times with Freddie and 2 times with Paul Rodgers and 4-5 times with Adam. I’ve never been disappointed! Two positive things about this reissue: 1) Uncropped front sleeve photo of Brian 2) CD debut of Driven By You (Ford Advert version) Everything else was available on CD for about 30 years. Great! What a campaign!

Aside from seeing Queen at Wembley with Freddie and going to the Freddie Tribute Concert I was fortunate to see the Brian May Band live in Cardiff . I recall Cozy walking into the building in front of us . It was before I had white hair..
I was also fortunate to see BMB live, in Madrid. And Brian himself was walking into the building at ~2m distance from me!!
