    About the 777:
The Boeing 777, commonly referred to as the Triple Seven, is an American long-range wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's largest twinjet. Since the first 777 entered service in June 1995, the airplane has flown almost five million flights and accumulated more than 18 million flight hours.
    About Thai Airways (from Wikipedia):
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, trading as THAI (SET: THAI, Thai: บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน)) is the flag carrier airline of Thailand. Formed in 1961, the airline has its corporate headquarters in Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Chatuchak District, Bangkok, and primarily operates from Suvarnabhumi Airport. THAI is a founding member of the Star Alliance. The airline is the second-largest shareholder of the low-cost carrier Nok Air with a 15.94 percent stake (2020), and it launched a regional carrier under the name Thai Smile in the middle of 2012 using the new Airbus A320 aircraft.
Thai operates from its main hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport and secondary hub at Phuket International Airport, the airline, and its subsidiaries fly to over 101 destinations in 37 countries, using a fleet of 36 aircraft, that consist of wide-body aircraft from both Boeing and Airbus, while the subsidiary Thai Smile operates narrow-body aircraft.

Talk about recovery, It won't be easy for Thailand to recover from the side effects of COVID-19. Most of the bachler degree graduteds are still unemloyed (me included) due to lots of companies and civil organizations prefers the experienced workers over the newly graduated ones. The situation is even worse when tons of experienced workers got lay-offed during the first wave of COVID-19 which make the chance of getting employed even low than it was.

The reality is that Thai has been badly managed in every aspect for at least 2.5 decades and they've made many serious mistakes and bad decisions. I'm wondering why people say their service is good. It's not, it's terrible with bad attitude cabin crew and check-in crew. Put simply customers are a nuisance. HAd one really bad exprience flying business class with my Thai 18 year old son Bangkok to Jakarta; after evening meal all finished and all packed away my son asked politely for a glass of Coca Cola, bus class hostess didn't stop to take his order just yelled at him 'go and ask in economy class' and kept walking. When I queried her comment i also got a negative response.

Thai Airways even in economy in those days was simply the best and compared favourably to Emirates ; Ettihad and Qatar Airways . Their business class was as good as any first class . Sadly due to overpricing and far too many Thai Airways executives and flunkies flying for FREE the airline has been in decline for the last 15 years and really should cut its losses and close !!

Thai have had issues for so long. Its one crisis after another. Many years ago they were starting a new direct from NY to Bangkok with the A346. I booked in advance. Big mistake after only a couple of months they cancelled the new route and getting the money back from them took forever. They consistently make bad decisions like the A380 (now retired) and are seemingly always on the point of folding. Why take the risk?

Being a crew member myself, not for Thai I can really relate to a lot in this video. The embarrassment I feel handing our premium customers food on one tray for a business class service is shameful. Especially when they pay so much to fly with us. So much stuff now is only 'on request'. Mostly this comes from the airlines clawing back any un-necessary costs as possible to recover from the pandemic. When does this end though? The aviation industry is in a bad place at the minute so being patient with them at this time is obviously essential. Hopefully we will get back to life as it was pre-pandemic so we can all get back to doing what we love soon! Great video.

I really appreciate all the crew and pilots to continue to transport us all around the world in these sad times. As a passenger, I become more patient and understanding with all temporary cost cutting measures. I know sooner or later, things should go back to what it once was. Now in 2022, some airlines offer meal services course by course (Qatar, Singapore etc.), some still do the one tray get all style. I have a good feeling that, say, by 2023 or 24, things should go back to normal. Let's hope so.....

The whole system needs a purge and they need to be competitive with other Asian airlines. They used new planes with reused interiors with their premium prices who’d want to fly with them! Thank you very much for sharing this. As a Thai, I feel tragic to see our flag carrier in this state. I frequently fly between Bangkok and London but the last one with TG was back in 2019! That's right, I found alternatives that cost less and offer almost the same or even better in some elements. The round trip between London-Bangkok-London costs around 2500GBP for TG but less than 2000 for those LX and AY even though their services are back almost 100%...

In Business Class I would sleep as much as possible, very nice there. So I also wouldn't need a WIFI. People can choose airlines with or without it. About the menu: It happened to me with many different airlines that they didn't give me a menu when I ordered a special meal, specially in Business Class. I will be very happy to fly with Thai Airways again this year.

Years ago I flew Thai from the UK. I was sat in amongst many Thai's that had visited Europe. After chatting with some of the 'happy travelers' it became apparent that they were employees of or had some close affiliation to Thai Airways. After a couple of drinks they were telling me of 'allowances' and 'perks' they can take every year! Seems none of them had paid anything like what I had paid! No wonder the financial deficit! Those were some days. Loads of good food, amenities and the best service I have ever experienced. Tears me to pieces to see my favourite airline remaining stuck and dealing with unfortunate economic struggles.
Their B747 was another plane I flew with them, and the air hostesses switching their uniforms according with the hours (therefore, the light). Those were nicer days, when flying was something pleasant.
