SkinCeuticals C+E Ferulic is still my favorite. I store it in the fridge after each use and it would slow down the oxidizing process. Love the formula and how the skin absorb it super quickly. Evidence shows L-Ascorbic Acid is still the most effective and penetrate into skin better form of Vitamin C even there are new forms Vitamin C came out and claimed it’s stronger. My 2nd favorite is Obagi Vitamin C 20%. It oxidizes very very slow even you don’t put it in the fridge. It offers the strongest L-Ascorbic Acid while it doesn’t irritate your skin. I would still stick with the L-Ascorbic Acid before more researches and proves other forms would be more efficient and better to be absorbed into the skin.
I’ve tried these. Skin Ceuticles is the best. It is expensive but I get it from a friend that sells it wholesale so that helps. I agree the packaging is archaic. I split it into two pkgs. I keep it in the fridge so it lasts longer. It does work better for me. I used it for many yrs and decided to stop and use a few others for the past 6 months. I’m going back to Skin Ceuticles. The combination of ingredients is what makes it the most effective. Feurlic and vitamin e.
Very nice hookup- and I think that's a really good idea how to split it into two bottles so it doesn't oxidize as fast. That is what I;m going to start doing with products in dropper bottles, and keep the backup in the fridge until I'm ready to use it.
Honestly when I can’t get it significantly reduced I buy Bio Bare. It’s $50 vitamin c,b,e and Ferulic serum that has hyaluronic acid. 20% vit c(l-ascorbic acid).... for me it worked exactly the same as the Skin Ceuticles.. I’m not sure why more people aren’t talking about it. I know it sells out often ..
I love that you have compared these vitamin C serums to Skinceuticals vit C! I use the Timeless and like it. I have recently been falling into the thought process of wondering if I should be using only “medical-grade” skincare for the retinols, vit C and acids but I am trying to convince myself that there are perfectly fine OTC products. The struggle is real.
Medical grade means there’s research and it’s definitely better. OTC serums and retinols Are NOT as stable, it’s all about the stability and ingredients. Vitamin c at 15% is the most stable and It should only be mixed with certain ingredients. Some of the serums here based on their formulas don’t hold a candle to vitamin C for Elec. I would be interested to hear if nobody else beauty has before and after pictures because often times we think we haven’t had results when we’ve had really huge results we just didn’t notice that we had things going on to begin with. There’s no way that the timeless serum or the mail of serum that arrived at my house three months in a row oxidized hold a candle to ce ferulic. But Dermalogica, IS clinical, ZO have much more researched formulas that are much more stable and they’re definitely worth the price point over a $25 serum. A company couldn’t afford to charge only $25 for a serum that was just as good they just couldn’t afford it so it’s missing some key ingredients and key research that medical grade skin care has
There is an objective way to measure the reduction in free radicals of each of these beyond if it "feels good" or "smells good". It's very hard for even a skincare expert to measure efficacy.
The Timeless vitamin C serum is the same as the Skin Deva vitamin C. Look at the ingredients! I decided to go with Skin Deva because they offer free shipping and if it's your first purchase, you get 15% off. It cost me about 20 dollars.
I found this vid while researching vitamin c serums, and one sentence in I just knew you were from MN, just as I am! It’s so nice to hear someone else talking like me, and I really appreciate the excellent video! 💗
I tried many different serums with vitamin C. The worst were from Algenist and Drunk Elefant. The best were Skinmedica C+E and Medik8 C+Terra. I used Skinceuticals C+AHA and CFerulic and was not impressed so much to buy second bottles given very high price. Definitely will try PeterThomasRoth serum based on your recommendation
@@rezaakbari1773 I have instead been using the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% from The Ordinary. I was recently able to find the Timeless Vitamin C serum on YesStyle. As to why it is discontinued in the EU and UK, I’m not exactly sure and they haven’t released a statement addressing the reason. However, it could be because it contains ethoxydiglycol (which is listed as the second ingredient of the Timeless vitamin C serum) which is faces restrictions in cosmetic use in the EU due to a risk of kidney damage. My guess is, the Timeless vitamin C serum likely contains more than the maximum allowance of 2.6% ethoxydiglycol, as per EU regulations.
I tried all the serums that you mentioned in this video except Allies of skin vitamin c serum, but so far Skinceuticals is the very best, it firms, it gives an awesome glow. Love it
The Allies was a favorite of mine for a while, but they recently downgraded their packaging to a standard dropper bottle instead of the previous airproof bottle. I'm a professional bummed about that. I can't wait to see what new Vitamin C products will come out this year. 😁😁
I have been using clinique 20% vitamin c i got at the cosmetics company store, mixing it with advanced night repair and i quite like it so far (its only been a couple weeks)
The Phloretin CF has been working great for me so I think I'm gonna repurchase it 😄It also lasts a long time it seems cause I only use the recommended 5 drops, they actually recommend using 4-5 drops but I always use 5, it's just the only vitamin C serum I tried that i like the texture of that also doesn't irritate my skin, I'm not sure why the phloretin has 10% vitamin c whereas the c e ferulic has 15% but I have a theory that they probably tested it on reconstructed skin models or in vivo and saw that the actual amount of vitamin c that is absorbed into the skin is roughly equivalent, because alcohol acts as a penetration enhancer so maybe that 10% with the alcohol is equivalent to the C E ferulic's 15% ascorbic acid in terms of how much is actually absorbed into the skin! Either way 10% is a great percentage for me that doesn't come with unnecessary irritation
Thank you for really going out of your way to share your knowledge. I've really just started diving into good skincare and I just brought the Timeless serum the other day based on your video. There's no way I could justify spending that kind of money on Skin Ceuticals lol. Mad hippie was ok, Algenist (Algae based Serum) worked great but it's expensive, so hopefully that Timeless Serum can be a happy middle ground. Thank you again.
I just recently started using the Maelove Glow Maker, and I’m loving it so far! Love the texture and how quickly it absorbs. I have oily skin with occasional, mild acne and hyperpigmentation. Hoping to see some good results.
I've been doing more and more research on Vitamin c and it's up there with Retinoids and salicylic acid in it's ability to help prevent breakouts. I hope you have great results with it 🤞🤞
You might want to buy neem soap in the Indian Grocers and just put it on or wash your face where you have the oil and it will help dry up the oil ... it also makes blackheads vanish .
Love the review!! Sadly i still love my Phloretin CF even with all that alcohol... i am extremely oily and its the only one that helps PS: Would love to see similar comparisons with Vitamin A (retinol), Vitamin B (Hyaluronic or Niacinamide)
I used the Skinceuticals one for a year and it did NOTHING! It smelled like hotdog water, and was really thin texture and it did nothing. I've only used the Dear Klairs one and I like that alot better because of how moisturizing and hydrating it is. I don't think it has a very high percentage of vitamin c however I actually saw way more results with dear klairs despite that.
I use the PCA. This is a cosmesuitical. The company doesn't sell over counter. Can be obtained through a licensed esthetician (States) or Health Board Certified esthetician (Canada), that sell the line.
Recently I've moved to start using Vitamin c in my morning and evening routines and have been really happy with the results of a boost in brightness. Just be sure when you add this into your evening routine to start out slowly, add it in every other night and work up to adding it in to every night. In my opinion, the most hydrating vitamin c serum is probably the Maelove, it contains some nice Hydrating oils with the vitamin c. I really like using the Timeless Vitamin C Serum in my morning routine because it layers so well. Then I like using the Maelove in my evening routine for added moisture.
I picked up a Thomas Peter Roth gift set of vitamin C last evening. Used it this morning and kind of giggled at the smell. It is like bacon dog treats....very odd smell. But hoping it does the job I want!
I’ve noticed the ingredient list for the Kakadu evening oil has changed! It now comes with a pump and the Kakadu ingredient is last on the list, Ferulic acid is lower down on the list and sunflower oil is the second or third ingredient making it extremely oily. I’m so disappointed. For reference, Ulta is listing the old ingredient list online. Sephora lists the updated list which is on the package I have. I’m so disappointed as this was my fave VitC. I’ll have to look to your list for another. Thanks!
I'm going to have to check this out. I know it's a little confusing, Dermadoctor has two different vitamin c Serum products. One is their Kakudu C High Potentcy Evening Oil, and the other is their Kakudu C 20% Vitamin C Serum with Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E. The evening oil has a much more hydrating texture than the 20% Vitamin C Serum does. I like to use both, one in the day time and the other before bed.
@@NOBSBeauty They sure do-I only use the evening oil personally and am disappointed in the ingredient change. Let me know (if you can) if you find out the ingredient list has changed as it so appears.
I really love the obagi vit c and have been using it for about 5 months with nothing but great results. I previously really enjoyed the DE vit c but I kept having issues with it oxidizing super fast.
What is up with the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C.... when it first came out it was great, but lately I've experienced it oxidizing really quickly as well. Really wonder if they changed something in the formula or if they are having issues making new stock of it?
If it happens quickly with the drunk elephant Sephora might let you exchange it for a new bottle. I had it happen where after 3 weeks it was a dark dark orange color and took it back to the store and they let me switch it for a new bottle.
Yes yes yes! $$$ does not equal results. Before I'd ever tell anyone to spend $166 I'd tell them to go to an ethetician and get a laser treatment or a facial instead.
timeless worked wonders cuz it has more percentage of vitamin C. this serum is expensive cuz of the ingredients they incorporated in it that super beneficial for the skin. basically u r paying for a product that u know is good for skin and won't irritate it.
I have the Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Serum. It is lovely. Effective. Easy to layer. People complain about the smell....which is kinda funny. I suppose they could add perfume to it but I don't mind the smell....
WoW sweet lady, you look absolutely stunning in this video!!! Your skin ( face, chest, arms, hands ... u get it 😁 ) is absolutely stunning!!!! I mean WOW! Don’t get me wrong, your skin always looks beautiful & taken care of....but you have an inner radiance poppin off like who done it sister!!!! I’ am SO intrigued! I have similar skin tone & type as you ( light-neutral - tan ab the same color as you, freckles, blonde lashes, dry skin, & fighting the good fight of texture & fine lines (I’m battling some redness/capillaries on my cheeks brought on by extra extra stress from ab a year ago that literally just surfaced 1 morning glaring at me all kinds of sideways 😳 ). Anyhow I watch all your videos & keep up when I’m not playing catch-up but I MUST ASK : - are you doing / using / etc. something different - if so, what please !? lol - is it the opposite of a new product(s), just a well thought out & steady follow up & follow through with certain set regimens? - what is your current a.m. & p.m. skincare regimen & - how long have you been steadily *or newly* on your skincare &/ or makeup products? I hope to hear back from you! Thank you in Advance, I know your super busy! xx ••I’d bet $$ I’m NOT the only 1 who noticed how extra-glow’e gorgeous you look in this video too! )••
You are so sweet- thank you very much for your message. You aren't the only one who mentioned I have a bit more glow thanks usual. So, at first I thought it might have just been from getting my hair cut and colored a few days ago. Then after thinking about it for a while I think I realized what it is. I've been using a microneedle about twice a month for the past year. Usually I try to microneedle when I won't be recording the next day or two. This time I actually microneedled the night before I recorded this. I have to think that's what it is, especially since I'm using most of the same makeup I usually use everyday. I would highly encourage people to give it a try, but you must be very careful about replacing the microneedle rollers every month or two, And also stearalizing the roller before and after you use it each time. For me it's really helped with fine lines, deeper wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, scars from a car accident, and preventing breakouts. I'm thinking that's the difference, 🤔🤔🤔😁😁😁
No BS Beauty thank you for your reply! I know you are super busy so I truly appreciate your time. 1. SO you think it’s the micro-needling 2 x’s a month for the past year?!! 2. Did someone teach you the proper technique( s ) 1st : - Avoid Injury to Skin - Get the most out of it by following certain steps such as : a.) Steps before micro-needling b.) Skincare Steps to follow after micro-needling c.) What Micro-needle set/ brand do you use, & have you used this exact one the whole year? The reason I ask is bc it’s intimidating for 1😳😁! *( I remember before this they had something similar done in-office they called The Blood Facial. Makes me think of Kim K West on her show having it done! )* 3.) Have you done a video on your doing micro-needling & I have missed it or somehow overlooked it ? If so would you please send me the link pointing me in the right direction?! I’m sure I’m most definitely NOT the only one who would love to watch it over & over LoL!!! 4.) If so ( on #3 ) would you consider doing a new video?!Unless of course the other one isn’t very dated at all lol! There are 2 more things I really needed to ask you. I know you try A LOT of products for us who want “The No BS Beauty” answers! 1.) SO I seen where you use the P&L Glass Serum in your a.m. routine. SO I was wondering { hoping } you could do an : - “Up to Date Version of your A.M & P.M. Routines” with your current skincare products, including any extras you may do/ use : - Jade Rollers, - your Micro-needling, - Dermaplaning 2.) Have you tried Dermaplaning & if so what do you think of it? - Have you done it professionally ( do you still)? Do you recommend? - Have you done it on your own? If so, do you recommend it? What device do you use? • Seems like I may have watched a video you did on this but I’m not 100%. SO I apologize if you have! • Sorry I once again wrote {another} rather large & long “Skin Journaling Questionnaire” 😁lol !!! I’m really just trying to put myself back together again. Stress & hormones.... If you haven’t done a video on these ( or you haven’t in awhile ) would you consider it ?! Either way I am SO grateful for you, your channel, & your time nevertheless! Thanks Again ~ 💛 ~ xox !!!
New subscriber here! Thank you for the skincare review! It’s outrageous what high end companies charge for their product! I appreciate the time you devote to find similar products in a realistic price point! I would much rather watch your videos on true skin care rather than the makeup videos!!! Do u have a video on non hydroquinone products to lighten melasma?
So glad you found me here. You are right on about price, no one needs to be spending $166 for something when they can save over a hundred dollars and still get a great product. I've tried a few things that have helped with melasma. One product that I truly love is the Paula's Choice Brightening Essence, it's super lightweight and works well in any skincare routine. One other thing that has helped is microneedling. I do it twice a month and it seems to have helped with dark spots and areas.
It's extremely expensive to produce high-quality Vitamin C, considering the process to keep it from oxidizing. Not to mention the clinical trials/research the medical-grade lines put into their products.
You are looking fantastic. Skin is a total winner. Thank you so much for the info. Using the timeless and just repurchased, will test the others. Cheers from 🇦🇺
This was awesome!!! I love the Timeless vitamin C ( thank you Angie from Hot & Flashy) Maelove - PLEASE ship to Canada 🙏🙏🙏 so I can try you 😉 I just bought the Tarte Youth or Dare - thank you Lauren from Honest Beauty Review😊. It’s pretty new but like it so far and love the packaging Thanks for such a great review :) Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
Thank you so much- 😊😊 You can (and should!) absolutely use the Timeless Serum during the day. Vitamin C products are actually most effective if you use it in your morning routine right before sunscreen. Vitamin C does a great job helping prevent pollution, environmental damage, and also helps boost skin's protection from sun damage as well. 👍👍
No BS Beauty I just purchased the Timeless Vit C for 50% off from their site (awesome!) I too thought I needed to apply the vitamin C in the morning (following your and Hot and Flashy Angie’s recommendation) but on the bottle it reads to apply at night?
I'm loving the Klairs Airy Soft UV Essence, it works amazing under Makeup, super light texture, and not much noticeable scent. My other favorite is the EltaMd UV Clear Face Sunscreen. It's great for dry and/or breakout prone skin.
Was using the Somme Institute C Serum which was great. I’m not sure whether there is Vitamin E or Feurulic Acid in it. I just bought the PTR Potent C and will see how it compares. I can’t see spending $166 on Skinceuticals. Have you heard of Rodial? It is a brand from U.K. I just purchased their vitamin C Glow Tonic.
Always appreciate the detail in your videos! In my experience nothing comes close to the glow I get the first few wks into a new bottle of CE Ferulic. That said, it seems to dwindle after a while as it oxidizes despite the fact I leave it in the fridge. Have you tried the Truth Treatments transdermal c serum? It’s expensive but a bottle lasts a long time because it’s stable vit c and a little goes a long way😄
I'm going to have to check that one out, too! I really, really wished the skinceutcals came in a better packaging, because I found it oxidized quickly last time.
So what happened you didn’t mention the Cosrx Triple lightening serum? I really thought you loved it so much? That’s the one I’ve been using lately, the Tarte one, and the Drunk Elephant one. They are amazing! 💜💜💜 I also have the Peter Thomas Roth one but haven’t used it in a while, does this one oxidize?
I debated it in my head for a couple days about the Cosrx Triple c. The only reason I didn't include it is because the formula is so very different from most other Vitamin c Serums, especially since it only has a few ingredients. Although I would use it any day before I'd spend $166 on the skinceutcals.
I LOVED watching this video so much! Thank you for your honest opinion. I only recently discovered your channel. I turned 40 want to start looking after my skin! Skincare is really expensive in Australia as our dollar is half USD. I have combination skin. I've noticed my pores are larger, and definitely wrinkles on my forehead. I'm trying to find a brand that can can combat, pores, sun spot and anti-aging. Do you have any suggestions?
I’ve just recently discovered your RUclips channel and love the information and detail you provide. Are you still making videos? I’ve noticed there hasn’t been any in a while. Would love to see recent reviews. 😊😊
Oh thank you so much! You're too kind! I really have had amazing luck with the paula's choice 4% BHA Pore refining treatment- I've tried other BHA products, but nothing quite as effective as the one from PC was.
@@NOBSBeauty I keep looking at that one but it says not to use if you have rosacea which I think I have but I don’t no, I’m not great on skincare knowledge tbh but my cheeks are red sometimes worse than others and I assumed it’s rosacea but I really don’t no, so if I do have it is it ok to use PC one? I use Tretinoin and have no issues with that. Thanks for the advice your lovely 🥰 oh have you tried City Beauty products? I’d love your opinion on them as I recently ordered some xxx
I had a mild nigthmare experience with the Allies of skin serum--which I ordered from Amazon Upon arrival I could not figure out how to open the hermetically closed container-- after sending a message to their service clients which was never answered---a kind person at Amazon helped me open said bottle---next surprise-- the pump would not work--so I could not extract one drop of serum---finally sent it back to Amazon --for a refund---- I was surprised by the indifference of their customer service--- So now Ireturn to your chanel to select another brand Your videos are so helpful THANK YOU
I had the same issue with the Allies pump, dermstore sent me a new bottle which was nice of them but the other bottle was so difficult. Now I see why they changed to a dropper bottle, but for me it's to pricey for something that will oxidize quickly once opened for the first time. So bummed. Were you able to find another vitamin c serum that works for you?
Thanks for this video! Super helpful as always. I am currently using klairs freshly juiced vitamin C. Not seeing any wows yet. May be I should get back to maelove. It was super hydrating and I did see noticeable brightness too. Have you tried any of the stratia line of products? Liquid gold, fortify, rewind or their vitamin C serum?
I also found the Klairs Vitamin C to be pretty lackluster- not too impressing, not a bad serum, just not as good as it could be. I've had Stratia on my mind for quite a while- many of their products look great from the ingredient list. Going to have to watch for a sale!
Rash Ga I’ve tried the Klairs Freshly Juiced as well, and I definitely prefer Maelove’s over Klairs. But the Klairs does have less vitamin C in it than the Glow Maker.
I use the timeless long time, now I tried andalou natrals I like it. but next one I wanna try Image skin care (Blend of Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, Ascorbic acid, Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, Ascorbyl palmitate, Vitamin E 36$) or cosrx or mad hippie witch u speak about it before.
A great video! Thank you so much for this comparable reviews! Was looking at your description and noticed you have 1% Vitamin C under the Skinceautical CE Ferulic ingredients and I believe that's an error, I know you also mentioned it is 1% vitamin E. Thought I'd point it out so you can correct the typo. Always looking forward to seeing your new video. You're awesome!
I've had good results with the Timeless Skincare 20% Vitamin C Serum. I took a break from it this summer and surprisingly, my skin is more even toned. Using Krave Great Barrier Relief may be working better for me, as tamanu oil is purported to be good at reducing hyperpigmentation. Where would you rank Cosrx Triple Lightning Liquid?
I love the Cosrx, it's still one of my favorites, although the formula is a bit different than the others I mentioned. Cosrx has a very small amount of ingredients, it used to be only two, but when I look at it now it looks like they added a few more since my last bottle. If you haven't used it I'd definitely recommend trying out the Triple C Liquid Lightening, it's a great Vitamin c.
Your skin is beautiful . I'm 35 and eventhough my skin is healthy but I've noticed my jowls and cheeks sag a little. I started taking great collagen powder and I'm looking at facial excercise to lift. Your skin looks lifted what do you recommend.
I think the thing that has made the biggest difference is microneedling. I started doing that about a year ago and it has made a huge difference. Have you tried it at all? The other thing I use is a Tria Laser, I use it occasionally but it does help tighten the skin.
In time you will need to opt for a face lift. These products target the skin, not the muscles underneath. You can slow the aging process only for a limited time, but the process accelerates the older you become. Your ovaries produce collagen, and in time that slows down as well. So, do your best, but so we all age out and die.
I have also tried buying the L asorbic acid powder from Amazon, it does not oxidize in the powder form until you mix it with water. So I would make small batches of it with my daily moisturizer and use.Didnt use it long enough to see the results but it's inexpensive to give it a try.
Is the timeless vitamin C tacky? The skinceuticals was very tacky so it was not enjoyable trying to use it up. I did not like the texture of the Peter Thomas Roth vitamin c for the same reason. I would love your opinion.
thank you so much- 😊😊😊 I've only tried a few things from IsClinical, but I really liked everything I tried from them so far, I'm going to have to check this one out, love vitamin c products sooo much!!
My favorite moistuizer is the Drunk Elephant Protini, I also love the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum. My current favorite foundation is the Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream. Great coverage and sunscreen in it as well.
Vitamin C is one of the few ingredients that can help build collagen in skin so it can really help with anti-aging. If you have sensitive skin it might be worth starting out with something with a bit lower vitamin c percentage such as the isntree C Niacin Toning Ampoule or the Geek and Gorgeous C Glow Serum.
You already know where my heart lies, lol. Ahhh, Allies of Skin. This is such a helpful video. I was actually going to ask you to do a Vitamin C video:) Soeakikg Of Vitamin C, I used the Derma E Vitamin C peel this morning. I keep forgetting to mention how much I like it. You’re looking beautiful, as always. Thanks, girlie🍃🌸
I was waiting for your reply!!! 😄😄 I really like that Peel from Derma E, it seems like I get so much from them in my beauty boxes that I always have an extra for you! 😘😘 I have another package ready, I'll have my husband mail it this week- I have to remember to keep track of everything when he mails them out.
No BS Beauty Lol, I know. I think that you have three more things on their way. I had to start writing down everything I have for you so I won’t leave anything out this time:))
What is the brand name of this orange bottle you are showing ? I’m not familiar w the name so I don’t understand what you are saying. Also I cannot see the name the way you have put it down. Thanks for the review! Love it ! Are you saying Alies of skin?
I've got most of the samples in beauty boxes or Dermstore has them in a couple of their Best of Beauty Boxes. I really prefer the sample sizes because the last two full size bottles of the skinceuticals started to oxidize before i could finish them. I also found a few places that sells the samples here: aspenclinique.com/skinceuticals-ce-ferulic-travel-sample-4-ml/ AND www.skincaremarket.net/SkinCeuticals_C_E_Ferulic_Travel_Sample_Sizes_p/skccesample.htm And then here's the Dermstore set that comes with two samples of the vitamin c serum: www.dermstore.com/product_Problem+Solution+AntiAging+Regimen_82591.htm
I really wanted to love it but it contained a bit too many citrus ingredients, my sensitive skin doesn't do well with citrus and I try to avoid using those during the daytime. If you are looking for a good Vitamin c serum I love the Timeless C and E Ferulic Serum, the Farmacy Very Cherry Serum is quite nice as well. I'm currently using the new Vichy Peptide C Ampoule and am loving that one as well.
I loved your picks, but I'm surprised you didn't mention the Tarte Vit C and the CosRX lightning 20.5% serum. Any thoughts about where these would rank? I ordered the CosRX one to help treat sun spots/age spots/discoloration from acne, but I'm still waiting on my order to come in, so I haven't used it yet. I know you've mentioned the lightning serum and liked it, but just wondered where you think it compares to the ones mentioned in this video.
The Cosrx and Tarte were just a little different in their formulations so that's why i didn't mention them, but they are both still two of my favorites. The Cosrx can do miracles with hyperpigmentation. The Tarte really helped me get more of a glow. You can't go wrong with either, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with the Cosrx.
Great video! I've yet to use a vitamin c serum that gave my any noticeable results (including skinceuticals) so I'm definitely going to try one of these 💙
If you haven't had great results in the past with vitamin c products I'd recommend going with one that is stronger, such as the Allies of Skin or Peter Thomas Roth.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for your very thorough reviews. I trust your opinions always. I was wondering where the Farmacy Very Cherry Bright ranks and why it isn't one of your favorites. I remember you gave it a very good review, even better than DE vitamin C.
Carmen Mendivil me too! I got a. Ice size deluxe sample I’ve been using lately when I ordered the cherry version of the balm. I can’t tell but I like using it. Is that not a favorite?
I didn't include the Farmacy because the formula is such different then the others. Since it didn't have the vitamin E or ferulic acid and since it is partly fruit powered vitamin c I thought it was just too different than the others I mentioned. I'm going to have to do a new top ten vitamin c serum list soon. I still use and love the Farmacy one so if you do as well, no worries at all, it's a great option.
@@taintedlife2618 I honestly think my skin looks brighter, but the bigger change for me is that my face looks less inflamed... inflammation I never knew it existed. The problem is that looking those changes I applied too much and it irritated my skin. A learning curve for me, but the serum is great.
@@NOBSBeauty Thanks for your response. I bought it, as many other things, because of you 🤗 I've never been disappointed with your recommendations. I was curious as to why it wasn't in the list. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
No BS Beauty great I was just curious how it ranked. I like using it but of course who doesn’t love using a free sample that looks and feels and smells nice. I do like the stuff so far. I am going to try Maelove next. Good to know. I didn’t think about the ferulic business.
What are your thoughts on the Drmtlgy Brand Vitamin C? I've been using it for a week in the am and so far so good. It has a water-like texture and absorbs right away. Interested in hearing your thoughts and everyone else that has used this. Thanks!
For patent issue, means other company cannot formulate it exactly the same or in the range of certain percentage that's probably why Timeless use 20% vit C? Is it only applies in the US? I never know about this one
Hi, thanks for the detailed comparison. Can you please recommend a serum and moisturiser for laser hair removal Skin as I have been advised to not use active ingredients.
About a year ago I started using a microneedle roller, I've been doing it about twice a month and I think it's been helping with fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and scars a lot. I started when a .5 mm and have worked up to a 1.0 mm microneedle roller. I think that's made the biggest difference of anything I use.
OH WOW 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😍😍😍😍😍 Ur Face looks Healthy.. Radant... Stunning!!! I LOVE this topic!! Sis u are so freaking informative 🙌🏼❤❤❤❤ If u can only PICK 1 ....WHICH ONE 🤔 Cause that's the one I want to start using 👊👊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊 Luv ya chica ❤❤❤❤❤🤘😎😃
Great video btw! Would love a video like this comparing other essences to the SK II Facial Treatment Essence. It's supposed to be a holy grail product but it's so damn expensive....
For me there are equivalent or better products. Purito, CosRX, La Mer, Manyo Factory and Kranicell have better, less runny, more beneficial Galactomyces essences. My favorite is the Kranicell one.
I just want to buy all the skin care in the world. So much into and tempted towards it.
You better find a consistent routine to get great resolts...
Start investing in the food you eat. You’ll find wont need that much.
OTC serums and retinols
Are NOT as stable, it’s all about the stability and ingredients.
I just bought my first bottle of the Timeless Vitamin C and DAMN have they stepped up their game!
So happy to hear you're having good luck with it, very nice and affordable product!
The issue with most vitamin c’s on the market is that they contain other forms of vit c, but our skin can only use L-ascorbic acid.
Timeless 5:01
Maelove 7:46
The Timeless vitamin C serum is the same as the Skin Deva vitamin C. Look at the ingredients! I decided to go with Skin Deva because they offer free shipping and if it's your first purchase, you get 15% off. It cost me about 20 dollars.
I found this vid while researching vitamin c serums, and one sentence in I just knew you were from MN, just as I am! It’s so nice to hear someone else talking like me, and I really appreciate the excellent video! 💗
You betcha, So happy you found me here! Nice that someone gets my accent!
Mine oxidised really quick too, thought skinceuticals was just OKAY. I preferred obagi way more.
I tried the Timeless vitamin C serum and my skin loved it! It is now discontinued in the UK and EU..
Why ? How do you get them now ?
No BS Beaut
My fav vatimin c serums:
1. Mad Hippie
2. 100% Pure
3. Isntree
4. OZNaturals
5. Amara Organics
I have been using clinique 20% vitamin c i got at the cosmetics company store, mixing it with advanced night repair and i quite like it so far (its only been a couple weeks)
Your videos are so informative! Thank you for all the effort you put into these to educate us!
Noir King so, can you tell me an update on the timeless. Looking into buying
I hope you have great results with it 🤞🤞
No BS Beauty Thank You! ☺️
You might want to buy neem soap in the Indian Grocers and just put it on or wash your face where you have the oil and it will help dry up the oil ... it also makes blackheads vanish .
Do you know what the cause of your acne is ?
Thanks for the video... I use theTimeless... love the way it absorbs fast... and you look awesome today😊
Thank you so much, you're already so kind! 😘😘😊
No BS Beauty I agree your hair looks great like this. It showcases your neck nicely🤟
She really does look awesome today! Thought the same thing.
Girl, you look amazing! Haven’t seen you in awhile and your skin is GORGEOUS!!
Oh thank you so much, so nice to hear from you again! I've added microneedling to my routine twice a month and I think it's really been helping!
I’m new to your channel and I was just thinking the same thing!! 👍🏾👍🏾
Love the review!! Sadly i still love my Phloretin CF even with all that alcohol... i am extremely oily and its the only one that helps
PS: Would love to see similar comparisons with Vitamin A (retinol), Vitamin B (Hyaluronic or Niacinamide)
Very good idea 😮😮 I'm going to have to do that, working on this video was so much fun. I'm always up for a good challenge.
Loving the Cirem HCR 3-In-1 serum right now. It uses THD too. It combines retinol and hyaluronic acid.
Timeless!! Is tested to the hilt Angie Hot&Flashy .. I love it!!
Which one is most hydrating for dry skin? Can you use vitamin c in the morning and night?
Recently I've moved to start using Vitamin c in my morning and evening routines and have been really happy with the results of a boost in brightness. Just be sure when you add this into your evening routine to start out slowly, add it in every other night and work up to adding it in to every night. In my opinion, the most hydrating vitamin c serum is probably the Maelove, it contains some nice Hydrating oils with the vitamin c. I really like using the Timeless Vitamin C Serum in my morning routine because it layers so well. Then I like using the Maelove in my evening routine for added moisture.
FYI the timeless comes in a yellow pump much like the first orange bottle you show
I'm so happy they finally upgraded their packaging, I'll have to redo this video to reflect their new pump bottle.
Thanks for this video, and your skin is glowing, you should start listing what makeup
Your wearing in each video 😃💖
Thank you, I really do need to do that- when I record tomorrow I'm going to do that 😁😁
I picked up a Thomas Peter Roth gift set of vitamin C last evening.
I use the Timeless and love it. Silk Naturals also has a good one, but have not tried that one yet.
It just shows that price does not make the product work better. Timeless has worked wonderfully for me..
Yes yes yes! $$$ does not equal results. Before I'd ever tell anyone to spend $166 I'd tell them to go to an ethetician and get a laser treatment or a facial instead.
Timeless has worked wonders for me as well note, they have now changed the packaging!
timeless worked wonders cuz it has more percentage of vitamin C. this serum is expensive cuz of the ingredients they incorporated in it that super beneficial for the skin. basically u r paying for a product that u know is good for skin and won't irritate it.
So glad you made this video. Thank you! You deserve at least 1 millions subscribers for the work you’re doing.
Thank you- your comment literally put a smile on my face! 😊😊
I have the Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Serum. It is lovely. Effective. Easy to layer. People complain about the smell....which is kinda funny. I suppose they could add perfume to it but I don't mind the smell....
Oh yes, the infamous hot dog water smell strikes again. So many have that telltale scent.
You don't want perfume aka fragrance in skincare. It will wreak havoc on your skin. I agree most L Ascorbic acid doesn't smell pleasant.
Anyhow I watch all your videos & keep up when I’m not playing catch-up but I MUST ASK :
- are you doing / using / etc. something different
- if so, what please !? lol
- is it the opposite of a new product(s), just a well thought out & steady follow up & follow through with certain set regimens?
- what is your current a.m. & p.m. skincare regimen
&
- how long have you been steadily *or newly* on your skincare &/ or makeup products?
I hope to hear back from you!
Thank you in Advance, I know your super busy!
xx
••I’d bet $$ I’m NOT the only 1 who noticed how extra-glow’e gorgeous you look in this video too!
2. Did someone teach you the proper technique( s ) 1st :
- Avoid Injury to Skin
- Get the most out of it by following certain steps such as :
a.) Steps before micro-needling
b.) Skincare Steps to follow after micro-needling
c.) What Micro-needle set/ brand do you use, & have you used this exact one the whole year?
The reason I ask is bc it’s intimidating for 1😳😁!
*( I remember before this they had something similar done in-office they called The Blood Facial. Makes me think of Kim K West on her show having it done! )*
3.) Have you done a video on your doing micro-needling & I have missed it or somehow overlooked it ? If so would you please send me the link pointing me in the right direction?! I’m sure I’m most definitely NOT the only one who would love to watch it over & over LoL!!!
4.) If so ( on #3 ) would you consider doing a new video?!Unless of course the other one isn’t very dated at all lol!
There are 2 more things I really needed to ask you.
I know you try A LOT of products for us who want “The No BS Beauty” answers!
1.) SO I seen where you use the P&L Glass Serum in your a.m. routine.
SO I was wondering { hoping } you could do an :
- “Up to Date Version of your A.M & P.M. Routines” with your current skincare products, including any extras you may do/ use :
- Jade Rollers,
- your Micro-needling,
- Dermaplaning
2.) Have you tried Dermaplaning & if so what do you think of it?
- Have you done it professionally ( do you still)? Do you recommend?
- Have you done it on your own? If so, do you recommend it? What device do you use?
• Seems like I may have watched a video you did on this but I’m not 100%. SO I apologize if you have! •
Sorry I once again wrote {another} rather large & long “Skin Journaling Questionnaire” 😁lol !!!
No BS Beauty what to you use for microneedling?
It's extremely expensive to produce high-quality Vitamin C, considering the process to keep it from oxidizing. Not to mention the clinical trials/research the medical-grade lines put into their products.
You are looking fantastic. Skin is a total winner. Thank you so much for the info. Using the timeless and just repurchased, will test the others. Cheers from 🇦🇺
This was awesome!!! I love the Timeless vitamin C ( thank you Angie from Hot & Flashy) Maelove - PLEASE ship to Canada 🙏🙏🙏 so I can try you 😉
I just bought the Tarte Youth or Dare - thank you Lauren from Honest Beauty Review😊. It’s pretty new but like it so far and love the packaging
Thanks for such a great review :)
Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
Thanks so much for doing this. I love your top...?... videos. You review so many great products , it’s nice to see where they rank. 😁
I think it's a shirt I picked up from Express when they had their last sale. I love black, I'll wear almost anything if it's black. 😁😁
Team Timeless!
Great review, thank you.
Your skin is glowing beautiful! Can I use time less serum during the day?
Beautiful glowing skin , what is your favorite sunscreen for face and eyes ?
I'm loving the Klairs Airy Soft UV Essence, it works amazing under Makeup, super light texture, and not much noticeable scent. My other favorite is the EltaMd UV Clear Face Sunscreen. It's great for dry and/or breakout prone skin.
carolina rodriguez at what point do you add the Elatamd product?
Your accent makes me happy!
☺️☺️ I'll take that any day!
I starting using the derma e vitamin c serum and I love it!.
I really like that serum as well. I try to use it frequently, and I love their packaging of it, so much better than many other vitamin c serums.
No BS Beauty I tried using that one for 2-3 day in the morning but my fave was itchy. I got scared and I stoped
No BS Beauty ok that’s what I figured. What color does then Cosrx one turn once it’s oxidize?
Oh also what products do you suggest for large pores? Your skin is stunning
Wow! You look fabulous! What is your favorite skin care product right now?!
Lately I've really been loving the Tula Acne Clearing and Tone Correcting Gel, gives skin a nice brightness and a little Exfoliation. 😊😊
No BS Beauty it’s the best, thanks for recommending it to us !
No BS Beauty can you review the new Herbivore Prism? They just updated the formula. Thanks!
I had a mild nigthmare experience with the Allies of skin serum--which I ordered from Amazon Upon arrival I could not figure out how to open the hermetically closed
container-- after sending a message to their service clients which was never answered---a kind person at Amazon helped me open said bottle---next surprise--
the pump would not work--so I could not extract one drop of serum---finally sent it back to Amazon --for a refund---- I was surprised by the indifference of their customer service---
So now Ireturn to your chanel to select another brand Your videos are so helpful THANK YOU
I had the same issue with the Allies pump, dermstore sent me a new bottle which was nice of them but the other bottle was so difficult. Now I see why they changed to a dropper bottle, but for me it's to pricey for something that will oxidize quickly once opened for the first time. So bummed. Were you able to find another vitamin c serum that works for you?
okay, you're always coming in CLUTCH with yo ruvideossssssssss......WHY?!!! so amazing. thank you...
Thank you so much, you're too sweet! I'm going to have to update this video to include the Dr Brenner Vitamin C Serum next time, it's amazing!
No BS Beauty Thanks!
No BS Beauty which microneedling do you use?
In time you will need to opt for a face lift. These products target the skin, not the muscles underneath. You can slow the aging process only for a limited time, but the process accelerates the older you become. Your ovaries produce collagen, and in time that slows down as well. So, do your best, but so we all age out and die.
I have also tried buying the L asorbic acid powder from Amazon, it does not oxidize in the powder form until you mix it with water. So I would make small batches of it with my daily moisturizer and use.Didnt use it long enough to see the results but it's inexpensive to give it a try.
The vitamin c powder is such an amazing option, I love that you can customize it and use it how you like.
Is the timeless vitamin C tacky? The skinceuticals was very tacky so it was not enjoyable trying to use it up. I did not like the texture of the Peter Thomas Roth vitamin c for the same reason. I would love your opinion.
You have beautiful skin. What blush and highlighter are you wearing ? It looks so pretty
Did you like the very cherry vitamin c serum by the farmacy? I was thinking about buying it but I might go for the maelove serum. Thank you!
Have heard good things about Maelove and will try it.. Most definitely affordable.
For my budget, I love Pura Dur and it’s made in the USA
What about DRMTLGY vitamin C, E and Freuluc Acid?
Penn Smith and some other RUclipsrs said it is better than a dup for Skin Ceuticals
You look so good! Keep doing whatever you're doing! I've been using the isclinical super serum, it's fantastic. Have you tried it?
thank you so much- 😊😊😊 I've only tried a few things from IsClinical, but I really liked everything I tried from them so far, I'm going to have to check this one out, love vitamin c products sooo much!!
@@NOBSBeauty me too! Thank you for all your reviews, so helpful!
Your skin looks glowing. Great for winter look. What do you use ... foundation wise and moisturizer?
My favorite moistuizer is the Drunk Elephant Protini, I also love the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum. My current favorite foundation is the Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream. Great coverage and sunscreen in it as well.
You look fabulous! My favorite vitamin c is Truth Treatments serum, but ohhhh, so expensive!
I've been meaning to pick that one up, I hear great things about that Serum. I'm going to have to keep an eye out in case they gave a sale or GWP.
Hi, is it good to use vitamin c serum for sensitive skin and can i use it under my eyes, does it really prevent premature ageing????
Vitamin C is one of the few ingredients that can help build collagen in skin so it can really help with anti-aging. If you have sensitive skin it might be worth starting out with something with a bit lower vitamin c percentage such as the isntree C Niacin Toning Ampoule or the Geek and Gorgeous C Glow Serum.
Thank you so much 🤙🏻
You already know where my heart lies, lol.
Should I keep my vitamin C in the refrigerator along with other serums from going bad???? Please help and ty for all ur reviews!!!
I would recommend it- storing them in the cool and dark fridge when not in use will certainly help them stay fresh longer.
@@NOBSBeauty Thank ypu
What percentage of THD & Ethyl ASCORBIC? Would this be too strong for those with sensitive skin?
I used Maylove but not the way its packaging,it oxidized on me.
My most economical vitamin c serum I use is Derma -E concentrate serum , my splurge vitamin c product is Dr Perricone
I love the Derma E Vitamin C Serum, and it's a bargain as well!
What is the brand name of this orange bottle you are showing ? I’m not familiar w the name so I don’t understand what you are saying. Also I cannot see the name the way you have put it down. Thanks for the review! Love it ! Are you saying Alies of skin?
Yep, Allies of Skin!
Thank you very much for this helpful review. Your skin looks great. Happy New Year.
Hi love your channel! Was wondering how you order the sample sizes of the skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum?
I've got most of the samples in beauty boxes or Dermstore has them in a couple of their Best of Beauty Boxes. I really prefer the sample sizes because the last two full size bottles of the skinceuticals started to oxidize before i could finish them. I also found a few places that sells the samples here:
aspenclinique.com/skinceuticals-ce-ferulic-travel-sample-4-ml/
AND
www.skincaremarket.net/SkinCeuticals_C_E_Ferulic_Travel_Sample_Sizes_p/skccesample.htm
And then here's the Dermstore set that comes with two samples of the vitamin c serum:

@@NOBSBeauty Thanks for providing those links!
I love Allies of Skin, but some of their products are so pricey. Unfortunately, my skin loves them!
You can save a ton of you go through there stuff quickly by using their subscription service via their actual website I found!
I’m really curious to hear about what you think of the Tatcha Vitamin C brightening serum?
I really wanted to love it but it contained a bit too many citrus ingredients, my sensitive skin doesn't do well with citrus and I try to avoid using those during the daytime. If you are looking for a good Vitamin c serum I love the Timeless C and E Ferulic Serum, the Farmacy Very Cherry Serum is quite nice as well. I'm currently using the new Vichy Peptide C Ampoule and am loving that one as well.
I bought the Paula’s Choice C serum, used it faithfully for two months, and saw no difference in my skin at all.
I used whishtend vitamin c serum but not v much satisfied with it. I am v happy to c timeless vitamin c in first 5 as I ordered it yesterday. 😊✌️
You'll have to let me know how you like the Timeless. What was it about the Wishtrend that you didn't like? Just curious. 😃
@@NOBSBeauty: thank you for your reply and clarification! :-)
how is the "[re]fresh Vitamin C Serum?"
Would you recommend any of these for specifically cystic acne prone skin?
I would love to know the answer to this as well!
What about fragrance in them ? I have sensitive skin. Are they fragrance free
These are fragrance free!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention DRMTLGY Vitamin C E + F renew serum. Have you tried it and do you think it compares to the brands you mentioned?
I believe that came out after this video, but I am working on an updated version of this video for next week!
What are your thoughts on the Drmtlgy Brand Vitamin C? I've been using it for a week in the am and so far so good. It has a water-like texture and absorbs right away. Interested in hearing your thoughts and everyone else that has used this. Thanks!
Timeless vitamin c serum is exactly the same as skin deva vit c. The ingredients are exactly the same I’m the same lineup omg
For patent issue, means other company cannot formulate it exactly the same or in the range of certain percentage that's probably why Timeless use 20% vit C? Is it only applies in the US? I never know about this one
Hi, thanks for the detailed comparison. Can you please recommend a serum and moisturiser for laser hair removal
Skin as I have been advised to not use active ingredients.
You face is getting firmer and tighter every time I come back to this channel. What's the secret???
About a year ago I started using a microneedle roller, I've been doing it about twice a month and I think it's been helping with fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and scars a lot. I started when a .5 mm and have worked up to a 1.0 mm microneedle roller. I think that's made the biggest difference of anything I use.
No BS Beauty which micro needles do you use?
No BS Beauty is it possible to do a video on your micro needle roller?
G P I have the same question
OH WOW 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😍😍😍😍😍 Ur Face looks Healthy.. Radant... Stunning!!! I LOVE this topic!! Sis u are so freaking informative 🙌🏼❤❤❤❤ If u can only PICK 1 ....WHICH ONE 🤔 Cause that's the one I want to start using 👊👊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊 Luv ya chica ❤❤❤❤❤🤘😎😃
Did you try Geek and Gorgeous vitamin C serum?
Great video btw! Would love a video like this comparing other essences to the SK II Facial Treatment Essence. It's supposed to be a holy grail product but it's so damn expensive....
For me there are equivalent or better products. Purito, CosRX, La Mer, Manyo Factory and Kranicell have better, less runny, more beneficial Galactomyces essences. My favorite is the Kranicell one.
I didn’t like timeless but noticed a ton with this one
