This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,726 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I’ve been thinking about starting a RUclips channel for years. Still haven’t/. But you have and you have subs and I don’t. Congrats to you man. YOU ARE DOING IT!!!!!!!
Part of what makes this so helpful is that you all have such a unique aesthetic in a world of red/purple rgb sameness. Makes it more inspiring to do something creative (but using the helpful tools you’ve provided).
The color scheme and design of these areas are really engaging, at the same time relaxing (dark tones) and full of energy (right stuff in its right place). Very smart and appealing blend.
I have not watched a video on your channel in over a month and I have missed it so much! I’ve lost my passion for creative outlets and I’m back to try and get sparked to start creating again
I love this video so much! It's the first one from your channel that I've come across, but the amount of info I got from it is insane! You two are so helpful and I will for sure be checking out more of your content!
I dont really watch many of these videos but they are really well put together!! one thing i wanted to say was how visually pleasing your YT page is... there is something about the thumbnails that just makes it look so satisfying!
Always love the breakdowns of your spaces and workflows. Our family just moved two weeks ago and I've been mudding all day, getting ready to start sanding in my new home office, so this was well timed for me! plenty of inspiration, as always.
I have two video studios in my basement. One is a decorated desk with backdrop, the other is a work bench. I have enough large lights that I don't have to move any from set to set. There are also colored RGB lights in each set. I also have individual teleprompters in each studio. I use a Canon 90D with 35mm for my camera. I am also probably going to make a product B-roll set.
This is great! Stumbled onto your channel looking for 'small space set up' ideas and found something to strive for while I get my own channel in shape for 2023. Most amazing (for me anyway) is to see your framed YYT piece behind you! Newfoundlanders doing BIG stuff in front of hundreds of thousands of people is really inspiring. Just awesome.
mount the lights to the joists overhead. free up your floorspace. You can mount them on a spring arm or any number of solutions. All the tripods and cables are a trip hazard, especially in a space that gets used all the time. The cable management can get pretty relaxed after a while.
Exactly what I was looking for! I have an unfinished basement that I'm looking to turn into multiple recording spaces just like you guys. A couple questions: Does your unfinished ceiling ever cover surfaces in your basement with what looks like sawdust? (I have that problem with our basement ceiling that's just like yours.) How wide did you make your slat wall, to cover the back of the shot in the first setup?
I really enjoyed your last basement tour video, so I was looking forward to this one! In the previous video, it was really neat to see the actual layout of your basement and where all the sets are located, because when you’re filming in each one it looks like you’re in a whole new studio space, not in the same basement. Kudos to your wonderful design aesthetic and finding the perfect balance of decor and lighting for each corner. Whenever I watched the podcast, I was like ‘where the heck is this positioned in relation to the slat wall?’, for example! I’m also pretty new to video lighting, so I do appreciate you repeatedly mentioning the types of lights that are in each space. The little light sitting in the “bowl” light in the podcast set is my favourite hack! Thanks for another great vid, and love your sweater, Becki!
You make it look so simple! Chris should name things more often. He'd make an excellent bloopers guy 🙂 Chris: This is an Aputure... Becki: 🤦♀.... Godox
Hi Chris! For those t8 style long garage lights that don't dim, you can buy an enterprise Philips bulb that you can smart control and it can also color temp change and dim
This is super cool to see how you used and maximized your space. I'm building a studio (Planning Phase) and this gave me so many ideas. Thank you for sharing.
What a great space. It's great inspiration for how I've been thinking about my very small studio space. I love the desk space with the slat wall, but my favorite might be the drone space because it's so industrial in feel.
Great video! What would you suggest to purchase for a high school video class? I am going to teach in the spring. Any suggestions for a start up would be great. Thanks!
For the lights you totally could make a backet and "screen" that has diffusion or gel material that you slide in and out. Almost like the Canon Control Ring that slides in NDs

The Wall On Wheels is truly iconic. It will become the new meta in the RUclips space, believe me...

Step one: Have a house 😂
Step 2: Sell your kidney 😂😂😂😂
Thats step 0 😂@aymanebekkaddour
Came from Random Frank P’s video.
This was dope video to watch. It was worth the years it took to build it.
Great setups. Love the paper backdrop wall.
Love all the looks
inspired to build! Thank you guys!
We are moving to a new house soon! And I’m so excited to create a new studio. You are filling me woth LIFE AND INSPO!
Lovely couple. Your channel slat wall has become the inspiration for mine.
I love your content guys. Thanks for sharing!
love the slat wall set and the paper drop set. looks amazing x
9:17 Question: Where is the cutting mat from? I like that there's no visible logo on it!
I love how you have created so many different setups in a basement. Absolutely amazing and so inspiring.
Right, this is definitely inspiring.
The color scheme and design of these areas are really engaging, at the same time relaxing (dark tones) and full of energy (right stuff in its right place). Very smart and appealing blend.
very nice... what is that dark wall color?
This is the exact video I needed to help me map out my studio. Thanks!
This setup is 🔥🔥🔥 I gotta step my game up! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The creativity to come up with five unique spaces in one basement is very impressive. Very nice 👏
Literally the best RUclips set I have ever seen...good job guys. Ugh I need.
Oh jeez thanks Mikey!
I have not watched a video on your channel in over a month and I have missed it so much! I’ve lost my passion for creative outlets and I’m back to try and get sparked to start creating again
Y’all are as cute as can be! Thank you so much!! ❤️

It's like Tony Stark's filming sets you guys got right there. Just amazing!
Loved everything and the black aesthetic
I love this video so much! It's the first one from your channel that I've come across, but the amount of info I got from it is insane! You two are so helpful and I will for sure be checking out more of your content!
Wow...you guys are amazing! I'm having trouble building an aesthetically pleasing RUclips set and you guys have 5! 👏👏👏
Easily one of best channels, every time I see your content I know it’s going to be a hell of a ride. Cheers
This has got to be the best setups I've seen by far. Great and amazing work guys. Blessings
Thank you!
I feel more creative when I come across your videos. You both are an inspiration!
I love that you can make a basement look bigger than the actual living part of my house lol
😂 I’ll be forever grateful for basements

Right, I agree 👍

Amazing guys...thanks for the Tour inside your studio.
INCREDIBLE!!!! Thank you for this video!
I was literally saying out loud to gel those shop lights as you started to say it. Definitely a big brain move lol.

Congrations Becki & Chris - amazing sets you've got here. Can you share where to get the paper backdrops you have on the wall? Thank you so much!!!
Mad style with all these setups! Definitely aspiring to something along these lines.
Multiple spaces are amazing!

This is so beautiful I could just cry!!!! Thank you for this video.
I busy trying to build a second set for my videos. This has been invaluable!
Love this video. Fantastic ideas on how turn limited space into several working spaces.
Absolutely amazing filming set. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. 😊🔥

Killer video! Redoing my set. So helpful! Off to IKEA!
Que sonho, ein? Ficou impecável, muito inspiradora! 😊 🇧🇷
This was AMAZING! Also...the fact that you design and build this all yourselves is another level of wow.
Saat ini aku belum punya film sets di kamarku, hanya meja dan komputer biasa. Videonya sangat menginspirasi, terima kasih
Your podcasting setup is super dope!
Beautiful setups- I'm trying to do something similar as I get my house built.
This is a dream studio setup. Well done. Love the video!
Just found you guys and OMG sooo cute - immediate follow! Awesome job on your set-up and thank you for breaking it all down.
Living the dream! We have maybe one or two backdrops - this is the dream having true dedicated spaces. We need a basement!
I genuinely love these videos. They fill me with joy and inspiration. Thanks.
The color grading on your videos is fantastic. Great video team!
Love your setup. Could you please share a link to the gooseneck architecture lamp that has the apurture B7c bulb in it?
Wow! That place is awesome!
This is awesome guys!! But you should have spray-painted your ceiling black!!
love your work guys! just started listening to your podcast too, it's awesome! another thing to kill time on the commute or while going for a run.
Exactly what I was looking for! I have an unfinished basement that I'm looking to turn into multiple recording spaces just like you guys.

Hi. Amazing video. Congrats. Could you tell me your square footage of your basement? How much space do you think someone would need to achieve that.
great video, thanks !
Your studios are so bloody nice. :)
I love those grays

This is so sick
Wow... love your studio.
Talking about setups; but hey what a couple!
Hi Becki and Chris,
Great video! I am a beginner trying to set up my first official studio. Can you please share the paint color for your dark wall?
What a great space. It's great inspiration for how I've been thinking about my very small studio space. I love the desk space with the slat wall, but my favorite might be the drone space because it's so industrial in feel.
