I can't say the same for the "New" Trilogy.
It's funny how endless copies of the same dude can have some much character. It's also really refreshing when most star wars books, comics, and other EU are *all* about Luke, Leai, and Han Solo and they mostly revolve around Jedi twating around evil Imperial agents who are evil for the sake of being evil even if being evil contradicts their goals. The Clones meanwhile have less black and white morality, more character, and they're more relatable.

Kix is essentially the Star Wars Expanded Universe equivalent of Captain America.

The clones always held a special place in Star Wars for me because I grew up with the prequels. It is somewhat saddening to see them all die out over the timeline.
Order 66 was one of the coolest scenes in all of Star Wars despite how sad it was.

They are the ideal kind of soldiers/subordinates you want serving under you. They don't fight and kill out of anger, hatred, desire for personal glory or some other kind of reckless passion, but rather, they serve purely for the sake of duty and loyalty.

The story of Able was one of the first Star Wars comics that I had ever read. I still have the graphic novel. The combination of clones with Rebels and Imperials was something I had never seen before and it continued to inspire me long after.
Grand Admiral Thrawn oh yeah!! The comic line that followed Janek Sunber, the Imperial officer that was Luke and Biggs' childhood friend on Tatooine. Star Wars: Empire and then Star Wars: Rebellion I think?
Another early Prequels reference: the Rebel flagship _Rebel One_ is a former CIS/Separatist ship
Lt. Janek Sunber is one of the reasons why I'm a fan of the Empire. Here we have an Imperial patriot who's not just a good soldier but a good leader. He's Luke's opposite and I find him to be a far better match than Darth Vader. His battles on Jabiim and Meridun were some of the best ones I had ever seen and his quick-thinking and strategies helped to save many lives unlike the actions of his superiors. He was one of my first inspirations as he is an underdog. And, yes, he did appear in _Empire_ and _Rebellion_ .
Side note: It's a shame that people like him aren't seen more in the new canon. There's barely a handful of individuals who would be considered Imperial patriots: Rae Sloane, pre-betrayal Inferno Squad, Admiral Versio, and pre-betrayal Agent Kallus. But out of these individuals only Sloane and Versio kept their patriotism. It's like the Empire can only be seen as either incompetent or evil in the new canon. You can't think that the Empire is a force for good in the galaxy anymore like how they did in TIE Fighter or sometimes in the comics and books. You can't blur the image that is the Empire.
Grand Admiral Thrawn yes very true! This character arc was one of the few times I could see that the Imperials truly thought they were "the good guys" in their own mind. And I have been meaning to watch the TIE Fighter short film, it seems very good. Perhaps I will now!
Trust me, it's awesome. It's a far accurate representation between the Rebellion and the Empire than what Rebels shows.

Able screaming Shak tii's name in front of the Empire troops when asked who was his last commander is amazing.
The clones have the saddest stories. For a bunch of men created to be disposable, the Expanded Universe really goes a long way to show that they're human, too. Fantastic storytelling.

The Clones really show how even being a copy of another person how much of an individual they can be and how they are their own beings. They are fully living creatures with their own thoughts and feelings.

1) Disney did not erase the old EU. It was the Lucasfilm Story Group
2) It happended because there was alot of crap that needed go and continuity errors and Lukes death ect

1) I am aware that Lucasfilm erased it and I am glad because there was a load of shit that needed to go. They can cherry pick all the best stuff and keep the shit out that is not needed or liked. That's why canon is better to me.
2) Did you know that Lucasfilm never considered it canon in the first place and that George hated most of it because non of it was his vision and canon? He also never worked on most of it.

Assuming Rex was created in 32 BBY and survived to at least The battle of Endor in 4 ABY, This means he would be about 36 years old, or for a clone he was 72 and still fighting dang thats awesome.

You know for characters who are a bunch of duplicates, these guys are not only true characters, but they have some of the best stories one could imagine and they will be remembered.

That was an interesting story arc in SWCW.

In legends CC1119 Commander Appo survived so far as we know up til the battle of Hoth his status is unknown my guess is he died after hoth but a few years before Endor or possibly worked on the death star never saw action again and died on the death star I think he survived and retired after Bespin probably during the battle of Endor

Something popped in my head after watching the behind the scenes of General Grievous. I thought of scenes where character would shoots walls/ blast doors, and how blaster fire would just leave a burn mark. How come the separatist didn't make droids out of that kind of metal? I would figure that if they could fund millions of battle droids, couldn't they also make some sort droids that blasters couldn't penetrate with the same material as a blast door? Idk if there is anything lore worthy to make a video about, but just a question.
