It doesnt really mean you need an entire howitzer or anything to kill one such clone. It only means they were easy to hit with artillery, compared to normal clone troopers because of the size of their armor.
There was a sniper who had that done to him. He was known as the "white sniper" or "white death". Something like that, he fought in the snow.
@@mite3133 he was I believe a polish sniper through the height of ww2 and killed upwards of 150+ enemy troops using nothing but the iron sights of his rifle as the scope made him more visible in the snow.
He was hit in the head by a bullet by the way. Well the mouth and uh yeah the crazy mother fucker lived. Another funny little thing which should be taken with a grain of salt is he was apparently also very kind, and not nice for a trained killer but apparently like kind grandfather kind of kind.
The clone wars era was the best era in Star Wars there was just something unique about the era I liked

I'm surprised that you brought up X1 and X2. Not a whole lot of fans know about them as they only appeared in the PSP Battlefront sequel, Elite Squadron. They don't make a whole lot of sense either as they are Force-sensitive clones but for some reason didn't mentally degrade over the years like the Starkiller and Joruus C'baoth clones did.
Grand Admiral Thrawn well the main starkiller clone didn't go insane so I guess it's possible for not all force sensitive clones to go insane

Would you say ARC Troopers are like Army Rangers (The highest of Infantry) while Clone Commandos are more like Navy SEALs (Small teams that do covert ops)

I'd say Republic Commandos are of Seal team Six excellent raiders specilized in HvT raids. ARC troopers especially Alphas are more like Delta Force operators. Skilled at direct action and masters of ground,skilled with working long periods of time behind enemy lines. With many skilled in unconventional warfare. But all have experience under their belts. With Nulls being your CIA paramilitary guys who operate so covertly it was like they were never there.
Armoured Productions I'll agree with this. I'd also if we classify republic commandos as Navy SEALs Omega and Delta squad should be considered DEVGRU for being above the rest.
Fun fact, a lot of the animations(using those bodysuits with balls attached to them) in Star Wars: Republic Commando were done by SEALs

I'm really glad to see that you included x1 and x2 in this video by far i thought they were an intresting pair of clones in legends and always made me wonder on how the other clones actualy viewed them on kamino being that they were diffrent. Plus on top of that they do eventually learn how to wield a lightsaber but unfortunatley were taught by 2 diffrent users of the force

Just gonna say the greatest era was the Clone wars the fact that the Clones knew how to fight and had more skill that even the Empire probably couldn't rival the Old republic.

So many Legends retcons during its final years... made much worse since Falon is actually Kota's Jedi Master.
Also, I remember a passage between Darths Plagueis and Sidious on the former's spotlight novel, where they talk about how cloning Jedi is impractical and stupid... except for the fact that Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth, who will eventually have an insane clone assigned by Sidious himself, is just nearby their conversation spot.

We could also eventually get Old Republic films after the OT obsession cools down. I think the Boba Fett film will be good and I want to see a Bad Batch video game. It could cover their later Clone Wars missions like the episode that was going to be in Kashyyyk, some of their earlier missions before their debut in TCW, and a remake of their missions in TCW story reels with the same foes.
Have you tried the Tarkin Novel Or the Vader comics? Both are really good.
The Old Republic MMO is the only Legends material still being updated. Funny enough, it's the only source of canon content entering the Legends continuity. For instance, the cross guard lightsaber. Now, there was a lightsaber in Legends that had a tiny saber as a guard, but it was only on one side. The full cross guard is canon. But now that it's in SWtoR, it's also Legends.

I think you may have your regular ARC troopers and Commandos lore flipped. In the republic commando game, when still on Kamino in the cloning tank, as a child, and when training, Taun We made it very clear that commandos were genetically superior to clone troopers, and meant for special operations from the start, and then trained by the Cuy'val Dar. Also, in the Star Wars The Clone Wars show, a canon entry, while Domino squad is going through training, an ARC trooper shows up to talk to the clone trooper cadets saying that some squads had been posting good times in the scenarios, specifically calling it ARC trooper time. ARCs were encouraged to foster independent thought more than commandos though. So rather than one being better than the other, they served different purposes. Null-ARCs are just straight up crazy powerful. Good video though, lot of stuff in there that I either knew nothing about, or was unsure about. Good job!
He's only wrong about the Commandos being pulled from the regular clone ranks. Everything else is pretty accurate to the Republic Commando Novels. 6 Null ARCs (there were 12 in the first batch, but 6 died during incubation). The first wave included 100 Alpha ARCs, 10,000 Commandos (which after Geonsis that number was reduced to 5000), and a minimum of 3,000,000 troopers (with millions more in production).

I just wanna say that I love these videos; they're great and full of really interesting stuff and I am a big fan.
However, I have one critique that I ask in advance for forgiveness for. I have to say that it does kinda bother me when star wars literature in general, including but not limited to this channel, gets unit sizes mixed up. I often hear or read confusion between squad and squadron, and division, primarily, and I think that a little research into real-world unit types and sizes would do much to further improve a lot of sci-fi literature, as well as fiction in general. Special Operations units are typically configured in Battalion size elements or smaller (company, then platoon).
Squad: 5 to 12 soldiers
Platoon: 15-50 (grouping of 2 to 5 squads)
Company: 80-150 (2 or more platoons)
Battalion: 300-800 (multiple companies)
Brigade/Regiment/Legion: 1,000-5,000 (multiple battalions)
Division: 10,000-25,000 (multiple Brigades, etc)
Corps (pronounced "core"): 30,000-50,000 (multiple divisions)
Army (or, Field Army): 100,000-300,000 (multiple corps "cores")
PS, Squadron is typically an aircraft unit type and is about the size of a company. The only ground unit to typically use this unit type instead of Company is cavalry units, which can include armored cavalry (something like the AT-TE).
Just a friendly criticism and I don't know if you'll see this or read the whole thing but I think it could help make future videos even better. Keep the great stuff coming!
Hey, thanks so much for the feedback! For my videos, I use the Star Wars in-universe terminology and their specific meanings for the numbers concerning military units, which I'm sure are quite different from real life numbers, but I can be more clear on that in the future.
Also I'll be sure to only use squadron when referring to aircraft (or in this case, starcraft) in the future :)

Haha I get that that's how the in-universe stuff tends to be; I think it could use some amending but I don't wanna start a fan civil war on your channel over people arguing corrections vs what the canon says but I'll leave that up to you man. If you're interested, air units (for starfighters and I guess gunships and stuff, too) are typically:
Flight: 4-6 aircraft
Squadron: 7-16 (multiple Flights)
Group: 17-48 (multiple Squadrons)
Wing: 48-100 (multiple Groups)
And it will usually have a prefix based on type, ie Gunship Squadron, Bomber Group, Fighter Wing, etc. Just for general information :)

I know all about X1 and X2. I have the game they are in (I forgot what it was called). I have played it many times, so the fact that you mentioned them is really cool.
"Hunt in pods to bring down much larger prey" - It all makes sense now. ARCs and Nulls are superior individually; however, as a unit, the Commandos might actually be just a formidable when put up against any ARC trooper.

Just seeing the pic of your vid, I instantly knew what those two troopers are as both of them were very irratating to go up against personally I liked the shadow trooper as his armour was the only one that was sleek black and had a blue visor and went toe to toe against jedi very easily.

Would you say that Clone Assassins had the capabilities to defeat jedi knights in hand to hand combat but then were trained or possessed great skill that the jedi knights and padawans thought training them would be beneficial out of curiosity
It would depend on the jedi and in hand to hand combat how much they're allowed to draw on the force. If there's no lightsabers pure fist to fist most of the time these clones would beat the average jedi because they're trained for that purpose however some Jedi during the clone wars took to combat alot more and subsequently would win. And obviously if there is no direct force powers and only passive uss of the force the jedis connection to it would matter because someone like anakin, kit fisto, plo koon who posses great connections to the force and use form five djem are extremely deadly in hand to hand combat due to their ability to boost their agility and incorporate the fighting acrobatics, speed and dexterity of djem so

Alpha Class : Captain America (Physically superior, stable... Enough)
Commandos : Bucky (a little bit behind the two above, sometimes not)

Derelict null arcs aren't unstable at all. Their loyalty is just placed on the man(kal skirata) who saved them from certain death instead of the republic.

I think in legends they were used to be armor for a special clone force to execute order 66.
Put that armor on a star cruiser...one ship fleet.
