Darth Nox That maybe true, however Disney couldn’t just use Timothy Zhan’s Thrawn character whenever the company wants to without paying the man for a minimal fee. Plus there’s lots of book authors, Bioware technically owns some rights to Old Republic, and Dark Horse isn’t owned by Disney. At least that’s what I heard

Nova troopers are legends version of the death trooper
I think Death Troopers were actually recruited an trained for their specific jobs, whereas Nova Troopers were handpicked after proving themselves on the field of battle. I think a a closer comparison would be that Death Troopers are like Dark Troopers/Shadow Troopers.
ClockBasher Deathtroopers go three the a similar selection process of proving your the best of the best. I think the key difference is a nova trooper is more operational ready then a Death trooper.
I believe that death troopers also stand at well over 6 feet tall (7 feet maybe?), compared to normal troopers that are about 5'11". But yeah, nova troopers can be deployed very quickly, whereas death troopers are always used with a plan laid out.

Something I discovered about the Nova Troopers: there is a subdivision of them called the Dark Nova Trooper. They were darktroopers who were in the Nova Trooper corps. They used phase 0 and 3 darktrooper armors.

Ian Bailey I'm a little bit bias with a little knowledge of how actual special operations forces work. Twilight company is cliche Hollywood warfare Republic commando actually works very similarly to how an actual elite tier one Jsoc strike force would do it. With covert infiltration, CQB assault,HVT raids, counter terrorism, Unconventional warfare, hostage rescue, and the list goes on. At the same time it's not there to glorify the cause being fought for.
I'm the most powerful because I can actually hit my target ;-)

Great video lore master! I find the empire and the stormtrooper Corp fascinating.
The Legends Dark Troopers certainly more effective than the Disney canon, but still cool they used them. Great video, hopefully the Empire gets to be good villains again, and not the complelty ineffective force they are shown to be in Rebels and the Mandalorian.

This is what i like to see the storomtroppers presented as:elite,effective,fearsome,tactical soldiers of the empire that can things not clumsy, inept at shooting, cannon fodder this what we were promised in battelfront 2 but that lasted for about 5 minutes
people tend to think that all stormtroopers were useless thanks to the movies but legends really expands on their more tactical and combat trained units.

Those Dark Troopers were awesome in EaW: FoC. You only needed a couple of teams, maybe a few squads of regular stormtroopers, and maybe a tank battalion and a lightly defended planet was yours.
Gotta love those comics. Shame we never got another arc or two that might have shown what happened to Connor Freeman afterwards.

I love the Terror Troopers, but I really think a more tactical, sane interpretation of them is a thousand times better than the random berserkers they appear as in the games.
What makes them Special forces?

What group/type/divison was inferno squad apart of. I wonder if there were other similar squads that basically had like say blue markings, or other colors where inferno squad has red markings

Given their specialization I'd have guessed that they were shadow scouts (storm commandos), but for some reason they wear Tie pilot uniforms.
You should have added the Zero G assault Stormtroopers, Hazard Stormtroopers, Purge Troopers *Legends* , armored Stormtroopers and Shock Troopers.
You forgot the Empire Reborn's Shadowtroopers, who are, by far, the strongest Stormtrooper variant.

Lets not forget the Snowtroopers, whose combat bonus in arctic conditions is so overpowered, they can defeat rebel armies that are supported by the entire main cast in spite of the main cast's severely overpowered Plot Armor bonus.

Actually the red stormtrooper armor the royal guard said wore were very advanced and had greater protection then any of the other armors as I recall.
What about the Stormtrooper variants seen in the opening of the Force Unleashed game? Where they Stormtrooper Clones or an early form of imperial troops?

Their masks look very similar to that of Phase II Clonetrooper armor.

It's actually hard to say. It was used once but never again. Sadly we'll never see it on screen, though, it was used as a reference for the imperial patrol trooper from the solo movie

And every single one of them suffered from the deadly and mysterious "Ploy Armor Disease" wich rendered them useless against MC's, there was also a more deadly variant of the disease that only affected those who encountered the being called Rey No one, not only did the disease turned hihgly trained elite soldiers into Jar Jar level bufoons, but every time they attacked her, their weapons would tend to dissapear into oblivion.
