The armor absorbed the blaster fire and disintegrated. The impact of the hit usually stunned the clones. It was desinged to lessen the damage of the body and absorb the hit, not totally deflect it

I always liked how the phase 2 armor looked like a cross between the phase 1 armor, and the stormtrooper uniform. Made it seem symbolic of the republic transitioning into the empire.

Well, he was temporarily a commander
ahsoka was already the commander. And rex only controlled half of the legion (just the torrent company i believe). Appo had control of the other half.

after the disappointment of Battlefront, they should make a "Starwars Battlefront 2 Remastered". All that they would need to change is add online multiplayer, and maybe 4 player split screen.
Thorolf 25 I still play the game's multiplayer, and I'd definitely take a remaster just for better netcode and hitboxes, as well as multiplayer bots that aren't super laggy on even the best connections and don't randomly decide to have perfect aim and kill you instantly

There were also 2 other types of ARC troopers:
1: ARC Troopers: 2nd Gen troopers that were normal bread standard assault troopers that were later trained as ARC Trooper (ie Fives, Jesse ect)
and
2: Rail Class: These were made almost straight after the war in secret by the Kaminoans to protect themselves from the rising threat of the Empire

I'd say ARC Troopers are like ODST (Higher Training, Better Equipment,Later allowing regular troopers to be promoted to ARC's)
And Clone Commandos are like Spartans (Even Better Equipment, Armor with Recharging Energy Shields, Fewer Numbers)

Wrong. ARCs are like Spartans. They started out with a very small number (the alphas), but later allowed very elite normal ranks in.
The Commandos were more like ODSTs, not as deadly from person to person , but very deadly in squads

@@BigDictator5335 While the real reason is that this is pulling from different sources in both Canon and EU, which largely featured units and specialties that overlapped because the left hand either doesn't know what the right is doing - or doesn't like the way it done it - over the course of almost two decades - yeah this is exactly like you'd see in modern militaries, particularly during a drawn-out, large war. Some of the units in militaries in WWII were absolutely like this - with Airborne units and Ranger units that could also do airborne stuff and Paramarines that were marines that jumped out of planes and then you have OSS which had their fingers in all sorts of pies. I actually like that it's seemingly redundant and chaotic because it's accidentally authentic - because no sane fictional universe would allow this kind of thing to stand. lmao

Not necessarily! Sometimes HYPER specialization is EXACTLY what you need in certain extreme combat situations. Also this was the precursor to the Empire's Military. They where going to obviously have a specific clone classes for specific things. That's just how the Kaminoans roll also. They'll give you clones for ANY thing you need.

It seems to me that some of these troop types are redundant and could easily be combined with other types.
Aprion they are specialized for very specific tasks. Like Army Rangers can do lots of things but specialize in taking airfields, even though green berets could do it too
Aprion a lot of these are legends and from video games, so when created, the authors may not take in account what others have already made. But thats the cool thing about star wars you can choose what you want is cannon and stick with it.

Yea, the video had a few inaccuracies and was kind an insight vid for people who didn't know there was more than 1 type of clone.
It was a little too specific for the task of giving information to those who didn't know that there was variation, but it wasn't nearly specific enough for those who want to know every little detail of the clones and their variations.
army rangers can fall under every just about mos in the army. some are pilots, some man tanks, some work with ordinance, some can be pilots. the thing that separates them from a regular army soldier is they went through ranger school.
These were all so cool. I really liked the armor on the Galactic Marines, Clone Marines, and Scuba Troopers. I really like how the Riot Troopers carry shields. My favorite was probably the ARC Troopers, though. So many trooper types that I find totally awesome

Personally I think there wasn't enough distinction between the normal clones and commandos. The commandos in the EU are genetically different and trained much more intensely than normal clones, and were completely separate from ARC troopers. The ARC troopers were basically like they were described in the video, but the commandos were more similar to a walking tank, specialized in recon, bomb disposal, weapons repair, hand to hand combat, and basically any other military skill under direct observation from both Kal Skirata and other bounty hunters.
The clone commandos were super badass. And not ARC troopers.

Inaccuracy: Phase two actually provided less protection than phase 1, which is why Rex fuses his phase one amour plating to his phase two armour.

Yes that´s why I still play the old one but the new Battlefront II has the latest graphic standard and nice play mechanics...the bad thing is, that U can only play the Phase I standard Clone Trooper and that is a bit boring. If they did it like Battlefront II (2005) the game would be fucking awesome.

Keep in mind CovertOps had many more operations, such as recon, assassination, and espionage.
The high entry paratroopers were always armed with umbrellas. It served multiple purposes such as keeping the sun of the Armour (after all a clone paratrooper is to look clean at all times). 2nd it kept rain of the Armour for the exact reason as above, 3rd it acted as a weapon for the occasional combat. 4th it formed part of their identity (their anthem of "I'm an Englishman in a storm trooper armour. 5th it allowed them to descend safety when deployed from space as shown in 4:56.

I learned that clone snipers were trained for sniping, clone advisors were trained to advise other clone troopers, that you don’t know there’s an antonym for “ascend” called “descend,” and that many clone troopers were equipped with powerful, special, and unique armor and weapons.

I always wondered if the color codes used to signify a clones rank at the beginning of the war were removed perhaps because it caused a higher mortality rate of officers since they were easily recognizable. This was a real problem among captains, lieutenants and majors etc. in world war 2 because the shiny pins they wore on their helmets made them susceptible to sniper attacks.
