- 2007 Ford Mustang 4.0l V6 with muffler removed. Due to the exhaust design it's basically a Straight pipe. All that's left are the Catalytic Converters at the Engine! Crazy difference and it only takes 20 minutes to do.
WARNING, Droning is very annoying when in too high of a gear, and freeway speed.
But this is how you make a V6 a V8!

Wow it actually sounds pretty good, all things considered
Daevster 666 except when it droned haha
they drone so bad... my 03 had super 10s with turn downs behind front seats, and donred like a bitch, now my buddies 2010 with a cherry bomb on it only drones bad too...
@@AkimboMigdet what is drone could you explain that?
@@axelwhite4shfnnd858 noise from the exhaust when driving, it’s like a constant buzzing
Sounds nice bro
20,000 views! That's awesome! Thanks everyone
That sounds awesome.I've been thinking about removing my muffler to see what it sounds like, but I really expected it to sound pretty bad. After hearing this,I might just rip mine off of there tomorrow
Awesome! just a fair warning, it did drone pretty loud in the lower RPM's and you'll need a way to hang the exhaust once the muffler is out
@@BeaudoinMotorsports I just removed it this afternoon.Just drove it for a while,in town 25 & 35 mph,on the road at 55-60,and freeway 70-75.
I think it sounds bad and too loud when accelerating slowly, but sounds great otherwise.Sounds AWESOME at high rpms going thru the gears.
It's a convertible and I only drove with top down.
Also,I put on a turndown tip that I had laying around, aimed right behind the tire and mostly straight out to the side, slightly down toward the ground
You know it’s a v6 bc of how hard the engine is trying to to go that slow lol this is cool tho I might do it to my v6
Very nice Stang do you still have it.
What mods do you have and what's the next mod.
This was a Friend of mine's, he sold it a few years back. I ended up with one (but painted black) oddly enough, my recent Autocross and Track Day videos are with it.
@@BeaudoinMotorsports that is what I want to do. I have a 100 shot nitrous set up on mine and FBO I know a track just got built by my place so next year I can start going.
MATRA !
i gave the exact same car, so you literally just took the stock mufflers off?
No Mufflers or cats. That’s what a straight pipe is.
Removed the muffler and put a straight through piece on it with a hanger to hold the exhaust up
What was the size of the pipe ?
Jason Carlife stock, literally just removed the muffler at the end. this v6 was straight pipe all the way to the rear axle, then a small muffler. we took the muffler of and got this
Beaudoin Motorsports oh alright so no welding right ? I get it you got a straight pipe same size as stock exhuast and rammed it in place right ?
Jason Carlife i believe so yes, there is only a small section of exhaust that needs to be replaced if you want a tip, you can keep it an axle dump too., also, Important note, the Only Exhaust hanger is on the Muffler. you need to add one there.
where did you get the straight pipe?
Custom made at an exhaust shop, just a straight piece of tubing with some hangers and a clamp
Late to the party but why does nobody understand the true meaning of a straight pipe is no mufflers or cats but hey man if you read this I’m curious of what pipes you used in place of cats because I know they didn’t sell test pipes for them
The Description explains
I done the same thing but I didn’t like it so I cut my cats
What liter is this?
I believe it's a 4.0L V6
You haven’t got pulled over cause of how loud ?
It's Da Goat nope, as long as you aren't overly annoying with it. You should be fine
Thanks for the reply bro ! Okay but what do I have to do when I go to a shop just tell them I wanna straight pipe my car and that’s it ? They take car of the rest ? Or do I need to buy like extra parts ?
Ricky Boss it is DIY-able, to do this we literally went under the car and unbolted the axle back exhaust. However I recommend you go to a shop and see what they recommend for "Axle Back exhaust systems"
I hear you lose end torque (and/or) hp because you dont have a muffler
That can really only be measured with a Dyno, However if you Actually Lost OR Gained Anything you would never be able to feel it, it may be like 1-3 HP or FT Lbs.
Was that supposed to be a launch?
I told him to just pull away, apparently that meant slip the clutch.
