      @@JoFerCha just bought my 2nd v6 stang with 140k miles. Spent about 5500 for it. Been doing the basics to make sure she’s primed and ready as my daily/summer chill car. Mine is a 05 premium auto. I prefer my previous 07 stick shift but I only sold it because I wanted something else. Regretted that decision shortly after and a few years later I about the 05. These cars are solid. Higher mileage is always a risk if they aren’t properly taken care of and if the car has over 150k miles be careful. Look for the thermostat housing, fluid, checks, and get a tune up for your own security. A transmission fluid change runs about 400 usd. The worst case scenario is replacing a timing chain. There’s 2 on these stands and they run almost 3k. They say they last a lifetime but that’s up to typically 200k miles before the chain makes a terrible noise

    Bought a 2008 V6 with 56K miles on it in Dec 2020 for $6K. The engine, transmission, and diff were okay... but it did have other issues. Mostly wear and tear items that were made cheaply by Ford at the time. About $4500 later in repairs/replacements, the car runs very well and looks great. For what it is, its' fun to drive. Only add-ons I have really done are a Ford Performance Cold Air Intake with a Ford Tune, and a dual exhaust setup with Flowmaster Super 40s. Sounds really good for a V6.
    All in all, in it for $11K and it has 60K miles on it now. Been a nice little project car. Looking forward to my next one in the next couple of years, will be a GT for sure next time.
    I will say this: It still puts out more horsepower in 2022 than over half the cars on the road. Its not a V8
    Will take care of it as long as it runs and might give it to my oldest when he is in high school as his first car.

Reason why I’m in love with the 05-09 mustangs because the interior and the exterior of the car is aggressive, it’s what you call a muscle car, visibility is good and the mirrors are huge they’re like truck mirrors.

    Stay away the 2005-2007 and 2011 newer 3.6L v6. And stay away from Any automatic transmission.
    2008 to 2010 were best for the 4.0l v6 and 4.6l v8. The used mustangs 4.0l are usually better than v8 as people didn't abuse them and race them. 4.6l v8 have bad cam phasers and timing chain problems. for in 4.0l is timing chain chatter there are 2, rear one goes bad its expensive and will cost more than car Worth to fix. And do a compression test make sure cylinders are good and head gasket. Automatic transmissions are pure junk. Every thing else is easy fixed as parts are everywhere

    great little cars if you dont need the extra hp.& not everybody does.even the classics had 200 & 250 straight 6.& they didnt run anywhere near as good as the 4.0.considering it would run circles around an 82-83 5.0 gt.which was quick at the time.

    It just makes me laugh that a big 4.0 only makes 210hp and 240pd-ft of torque its ridicules my 2008 accord v6 3.5 makes 268hp and around 260pd-ft of torque with less weight and way more reliability 😅😅

      my mercedes makes 385 horsepower and 358 ft/lb torque, 0-60 in 3.7s. piss on a honda lol. I'd take the 4.0 though, I had one once. not the fastest but looked nice and drove great.

      @@denniss4951 lol youre comparing a 385hp german car against a 270hp JDM car but when were talking reliability wize... your merc is costing you $$$$

    May I ask how do you know if cruise control is on?

    • @povnelson2019
      @povnelson2019  Год назад +2

      A light will aluminate on the dash letting you know the cruise control is on. first you turn the cruise on by pushing on. Then you get up to speed, then set the speed pushing on the down or minus button. Then that's is . hope this helps
