It's so much better in person and yeah the mufflers really help and also eliminate that pop back sound you sometimes get when deleting cats

This sounds great! I know a lot of people bash the V6, but for a daily they're great. Your exhaust is exactly how I would have done it myself, only I may not have used quad tips. And wrap the headers instead of paint. Looks cleaner and keeps underhood temps down. I probably wouldnt plan on the red gasket maker on the headers lasting very long. Otherwise its awesome!!! Keep up the great work 😎👍

haha :D i went thru a few setups to find this sound! sadly i cant help you out! but i can point you on what parts are needed but its not cheap :/ i neglect mine too maybe not in mods but in driving! lol i only put 1500 miles on since i bought it stock over a year ago :P
Yeah get long tube headers. They’re around $400 each. Then get a modified exhaust. Anything at all really will work even stock but I’d suggest cherry bomb glass pack exhaust like his^ or something simple then get a catted x pipe and you’d be good
I have a 3.7 2014 mustang. I’m about to put long tube headers on, a catted x pipe, and some Corsa mufflers. It will sound amazing! Thanks for the vid! I’ve thought about the cherry bombs as well! Love the video brother. I’m debating on a catted x pipe or non catted but I think I’m gonna go with catted to be safe. And it’s true what you said in the video, it sounds better in person. I’ve videoed my car exhaust before and it’s a lot louder and better sounding in person. Thanks though for the vid!

I have mines with s197 short headers, straight pipe. Sounds awfully close to this
My 4.0, like many out there, is using the Pypes mid muffler dual conversion kit or system. Cat's still intact. This exhaust uses their "M-80" mufflers and sounds pretty good. The mufflers certainly look very similar to "Cherry Bombs" like you have. I want to install the Pacesetter long tubes which will of course delete the cats. Have you or anyone out there experienced the sound or tone of a system setup like this? I've only heard one pretty negative comment on a forum, but I'd sure like some assurance before I place an order for the long tubes. I would think, because of the similarity that it may sound like yours. I would hope. By the way, your Mustang looks awesome. I'm 69 and love my torch red "06.

Yes the bama tune I had custom for what mod I have and bama tunes ride the rpms higher and shift out higher it's not that good for the car which is why people hate bama. It makes your car fast but more wear n tare when I supercharge the mustang I'm going to get a real dyno tune done. It's costly but you can get 5 to 10 more hp easily
@@RevLine89 Nice. I've noticed my auto has some.. Wonky shift points if I'm just going down side streets, such as going into 4th before hitting 25mph, so I've been looking for a tune to help with that as my daily. That might be good for fuel eco but if I'm coming up to a red light going about 25 and it decides to shift right as I take my foot off I get a nice embarrassing clunk from my back end. 😐 Edit: also I'd love to see what numbers you get with a supercharger!
a dyno tune may help you with that you can have them set shift points for what ever you'd like and according to specs we should be 300-335hp to the wheels according to the charts but of course what something says on paper VS what it actually does can be the difference between night and day lol

Hey also, did you need a tune for this? Or was it left how you had it because I’ll be getting the long tube headers and air intake all that. Did you have it tuned any for more air?
if you do long tube headers without cats yes you'll want a tune for sure if you do long tube headers with cats you dont have to have a tune but it is still recommended to get as much power out of it as possible i went with a bama tune but they are so so. they wont give you the hp like a dyno tune will but then you'll pay 400-650$ im going to have mine dyno tuned come spring because im procharging it but from stock i saw a 17hp increase but again a dyno tune i would of saw easy 25 increase

cam has always been stock the reason it sounds deeper vs this video is because in my newest videos i have a 93 race tune which runs the car more lean and burns more fuel changing the combustion and also the idle chop makes the car sound deeper as well

I really like the sound. Its deep and not raspy when you rev it especially above 3000rpm. Most or all 5th and 6th gen V6 with long tubes installed do sound raspy. My 2017 V6 with custom x-pipe and pypes axle back is raspy but isn’t too obnoxiously raspy. Any recommendation to give it a more deeper tone? Still wana keep the stock headers and cats on. Thinking bout going for H-pipe but what are your thoughts?
Go with 30 inch long cherry bombs that will help the tone and 4 inch wide exhaust tips i never used a h pipe so im not sure how sound would be as well and thank you!
Old thread but H pipe makes the 4.0 sohc have a nice deep tone. But for the price the pypes true dual is a good deal that can have an h pipe added later on.
What is the name of your exhaust system? I realize they are dual exhausts but are they Magnaflow, flowmaster? Did you make it yourself?

Which would be better for a V6 long tube or short tube headers?
I've had both in so it's going to depend on a few things, #1 long tubes give more horse power but are a lot louder, #2 long tubes mean you need to move your cats around and extend your sensors which can be annoying #3 long tubes cost more and cost more to install, the benefit to long tube is more horsepower and louder exhaust but shorty headers with a free flow exhaust can also increase the sound and hp over stock I enjoyed my shorty headers so I don't think you will go wrong with either or
I'll also add shorty headers have more low end torque while long tubes are better mid and higher range

its a bit hard to know the 100% number cause i had gone 2 different setups but to do this set ill est 1500$ the should cover the labor, the pipes, the mufflers, x pipe, exhaust tips and long tube headers

i would say not as hard long tubes are good for mid to high range while shortys arw good for low range TQ so if i ran this same setup side by side shorty setup would pull quicker on my long tube setup but around 40+ MPH the longtube settup would take over and pass the shortys
What were the dyno numbers
to the wheel #'s 172 stock, then 184 with exhaust and normal bolt ons and shorty headers and than 192 with long tube headers and bama tune then 211hp with a dyno tune, so currently 211hp to wheels around 250hp to the crank

It will throw a code but besides that it's good because it's less restricted on your exhaust helping heat to leave faster but also burns more fuel

Dyno numbers
These are to the wheel hp 171 when she was bone stock stock - 184 with shorty headers and stock cats then with the current setup 200hp with a bama tune only mods done that help hp are exhaust and air intake/ so current setup we are doing around 250HP to the crank 200 to the wheels and TQ is 225 to the wheels not sure at the crank, the 4.0 is rated at 210hp to the crank from factory so we are about 250hp Crank but again only exhaust and air intake done to help hp, next year im aiming to procharge it which will put us at 360-390HP To The Crank which is about 300-325hp to the wheels

Depends on the weather but about 6 seconds flat atm I'm going to do more tests in the spring when I procharger it problem is I can't get traction now lol so with a procharger and 80 to 100hp more I'll really spin so future mods will be anything to help with that
You’re Mustang sounds good. But I’m sure my 2008 Angelica is a lot louder. She is almost as loud as V8 trucks here in Florida
