- Cheese, glorious cheese. This is, without a doubt, the place that host Lucas Peterson was most excited to visit during this season of Dining on a Dime: London. Casein, as some of you may know, is a protein found in milk and is a major component of cheese -- which Kappacasein has in abundance. The cheesemaker Bill Oglethorpe is the man who drives this operation, which has a stall in London’s wonderful Borough Market and serves up ooey, gooey portions of raclette -- melted cheese over new potatoes -- and fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches.

Thanks to Eater and Lucas for the heads up. I had the chance to try this place at Borough Market a couple of weeks ago. They definitely do a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich. My mouth is watering just watching this again.

That is an amazing sandwich. I first had it in 2008 when they were under a tent on the London Bridge end of the market (great to know they have done well enough to move into one of the formal shops. I had no idea they were behind Oggleshield, which is one of my favorite cheeses and I’m always searching for it in the US cheese shops, but never see it.

Grilled cheese looks delicious. On a different note, I can appreciate Lucas' excellent diction and enunciation however his pregnant pauses during his description between swallows is grating as hell. But I don't want him to change. I still love him and this series.
I like how when lucas is abroad he's more humbled than when he's in the us. Maybe the producers warned him that there's no such thing as 1st amendment to protect him abroad.

London is insane
It was £5 when they started 14 years ago. The main cheddar they use retails at about £16 p/kg. Along with the Gruyere and London Raclette which are pricier and it's a fair price. You can't say they skimp on the cheese.
Comon, you go into a starbuck each to get your latte and a shitty muffin for $9. 6 pound is cheap for that sandwich which is a 1000X better than that stale muffin.
