I cannot believe my primary care doctor told me there was nothing I could do for trigger finger except maybe a shot for pain when the pain got too severe! I thought there just must be something that can be done, so I began researching and even found that if you do nothing, you could end up with your finger freezing in that position permanently! I was going to look into going to occupational therapy, but now I can sit at home, or anywhere for that matter, and do the exercises myself without the expense and travel of going to therapy! Thank you!
I invented my own massage technique for this. Sit the tennis ball down on the table in front of you. Then put the affected hand, palm down, on top of the ball. Then put the other hand on top of the first hand as a weight to push down. Then roll the affected hand around on the ball as you find the tender knots causing the trigger finger, and massage them out. It's basically applying the tennis ball plantar fasciaitis technique to your hand instead of your foot.
My Dad suffered from a terrible trigger finger thumb. Years ago his doctor gave him a shot which helped but the pain recently came back again. I showed him this video and he began doing a few of the exercises you recommended (the rubber band one, the tennis ball and the last tip you gave - which he liked the most) Anyway, it’s been about 3 weeks and his painful trigger finger is cured! He keeps raving about how you helped him so I just wanted to come and tell you!! 🤗
Thank you Dr. Mendel i was about to have my trigger finger surgery on Thursday, while waiting for the dday , i saw this and voila… the pain almost disssapeared immediately…i was so happy i cried. I will do this exercise everyday and maybe not push thru with my surgery anymore…THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I just wanted to say Thank you. I had Cortizone shot in surgery. Now it’s my pinky finger and I said I was gonna go on RUclips to find out more about the trigger finger. And you popped up and I absolutely think God. I did not want to get another surgery or get another Cortizone shot to raise up my blood sugar, but doing these exercises and wisdom and knowledge that you put on the video. I feel 80% healed. I will continue to do the exercise until this goes away. I was using the rubber band, the strength my muscles and I was working my fingers. No more surgery for me. Thanks Sooo Much.
Exact same thing here: pinky finger of the othr hand. Dreaded another surgery and with this advice, I see a great alternative and hope. Thank you for posting.
Hello Dr. Mandell This very video of yours is about 4 years old.. I've had the discussed trigger finger problem in my left hand's middle finger since 2 years now.. I just watched your video and tried your exercises.. I made an "O" by squeezing my middle finger with my thumb like "👌" this.. believe me it did the job done in no time.. now my problematic finger is 99.5% freed from locking/jamming like it was locking/jamming before.. This is miracle..😇❤️ Thank you Dr. Mandell 🙏
I was a hair dresser for many years.now I'm developing trigger finger.in 3 fingers. One of which is my thumb on my right hand,my dominant hand!! I will be doing these exercises to avoid shots or surgery!! Thank you Dr. Mandell ❤
Thank you, I’ve just developed Trigger thumb 3 weeks ago…trolled the internet for tips and gone to Physio once. Your video has inspired me…and I’m ON IT!!!!
My dad has been suffering from trigger finger for a while and this video has been a life saver. My dad has done these exercises twice and he’s already feeling so much better. This saves him from going to the doctors and getting injections and tablets for the pain. Thank you so much for you video, you’ve been a life saver!
Thank you doctor for healing many people like myself. I tried your exercises three days ago and on the first day I felt a huge relief. I was getting worried this might not go away. I can’t believe how great this works. I have problems with three fingers and this resolves it. God bless people like you. Thank you ❤️
I’m a 78 year old woman with Dupuytren’s. I fell and broke the fall by placing that hand on the tile floor, about 5 years ago. That palm looks different than the other one. It looks as if there is minor structural damage. I have no pain or discomfort; it's only extremely annoying - my ring finger locked up about a year or so ago. I've been subscribbed to your helpful videos many years. I didn't think to search RUclips until today. I'm glad I did because you always use common sense and logic to contruct a solution. I have a feeling that by following your advice I can break down the scar tissue that's in my mid palm area. I will do all the exercises, and I have a rounded edge metal device that I can use to reshape the scar tissue. I'm guessing it will require a month if I'm consistent. 🤩 Many thanks Dr. Mandell. 😍
My middle finger just started getting trigger finger so i am so happy to find this video. I followed along with you during the exercises and found that the top of my arm needed to have the myo facia scrubbed. What a huge difference it made messaging the top of the forearm closest to my body. Very painful but stress relieving.
No words can help me thank you enough. You have no idea, your video came to my rescue just on time. My pain was at a 10 yesterday and moved to a 6 after doing this. Felt much much better this morning and I was able to resume my daily activities. It’s almost healed!
For 4 years I was going to a Hands specialist and they never suggested exercise. I know it was an alternative to the shots. I thank you for doing it. I will start doing exercise from now on. Thank you.
I have had trigger finger for years. Spent 34 years working in the soft drink industry. I am also a diabetic. I did these exercises while watching this video. First time, it made a world of difference in movement. I will continue until it is healed. Thanks for providing this information.
I had shots and then surgery for two trigger fingers a few years ago on my right hand....now my left hand has two triggers that are locking UP like they did on the right. I am using these and feel better after doing them all 5 times. I will increase to 10 each before I call the doctor. I was ready to pick up the phone. THANK YOU.
I never knew there was a name for this! I just massaged the adhesion in between my two fingers where I felt some pain, and immediately it went away! Amazing! I could hardly lift my coffee pot to pour coffee! Yay! Thank you, Dr. Mandell❣️
I'm a mess with trigger finger and arthritis, worse in my hands from being a trucker for 34 yrs. We do more than just drive my friends, especially if you're in construction trucking. Also, think about just how benadryl a auto mechanics hands are after years of holding a wrench with all their strength for yrs. N.must be just terrible. Anyways I am so grateful for this video, I never knew we could help ourselves . How wonderful you are for helping us. We all thank you. I can't wait to see the changes. I know it's not instant like I want but that's OK. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Dr. Mandell. I am a surgeon, too. This trigger finger on my ring finger has been bothering me for months. Just did the first two exercises you recommended and the snapping disappeared even before i finished watching your video. God bless you, Sir!
Wow! The reviews weren't lying. My middle finger was the effected finger. Started the night before... came out of nowhere. 1st time it ever happened. Course with the economy, I sure wasn't going to pay a copay just for my PCP to make a referral to ortho. So like all of you, I decided to start with RUclips 1st, with the plan of seeing a specialist accordingly. Lord and behold! I did the table and the rubber band exercise and didn't even get to the rest. All of a sudden, my finger's working again! Like I couldn't believe it! This really works! Thank you, Dr. Mandell,Sir!
I have it in my thumb and wake up every morning to unlock it! I have faith in a lot of your advice and knowledge and will start these exercises asap. Thank you for being so open, helpful and honest
Daaamn I just practiced it while watching this video for the first time and my finger just feels so much more looser and isn't locking as much. I can feel its gonna work if I do it properly for a bit. Thanks Doc.
Was sound asleep and all of a sudden my middle finger locked up scared me wide awake didn’t even know this had a name to it, did your exercises and immediately unlocked THANK YOU😅
I’ve been having trigger finger for about a month on my left middle finger and it’s been super annoying. This video literally saved me. All I did was pull my finger way back like you said and I felt my tendon pull a little and boom. It went away. Props to this guy
Thank you so much for this video. I have been suffering for almost 3 weeks and been assessed by my GP “Not Fit to Work”. I was frustrated until I search at You Tube and watched your video. Now I can already move my finger and although not yet fully healed am so grateful for helping people find solutions for different problems. Thank you Doctor😊
I have a trigger finger for the past three month, I went to a doctor who prescribed Meloxicam and asked me to take it for two weeks, after five days I started to feel slight pain where I did not have before. I tried all your exercises for five minutes and the clicking reduced. Thank you for this video it was helpful.
Thank you Doc, thank goodness I found you .I'm writing from the UK where an overworked NHS, still good in many ways, really only has time to 'stick a plaster' on issues like this and not get to the root cause. You are my Goto Doc now as I know you will be able to help. And you've done it again with these exercises straight off the bat. After one go the pain has nearly gone and my finger isn't 'triggering' any more. So of course I'll continue with these exercises. Excellent.
Hey Doc. I have had triger finger for about 3 years and have had 2 painful cortisone shots every year and i was getting ready for the 3rd one. since a few days ago i decided to educate myself more with home remedy and after watching your helpful video and practicing the recommended exercises, my finger is feeling much better and I have put a hold on the next shot. Thanks a million for your video.
I did the exercise as you demonstrated each one. At the end of the video, my trigger finger was actually already a little better. I’m going to guess 50% or more. Thank you so much. I have been dealing with this for several years, and you are the first to give me hope. I thought surgery was the only way to fix it.
Thank you so much Doc, I had mine 6 months ago and have been using splints. Tried your exercise for a week now and I'm glad to say it works. I am almost healed now. Thank you so much, I'm happy I found your video.
I am at my computer all day and using my mouse. A while back I realised that my fourth finger was locking in place when I grasped objects. I have to use my left hand to unlock it. Until now, I did not even know there was a name for it. I just happened upon this video and I am so grateful for it because not only do I now understand what is happening but I also know how to fix it. Thank you very much Dr. Mandell
I have had this condition since I was a kid, I always thought it was just the way my body was. I notice a huge improvement in just 10 min of doing the exercises. Thank you, love and light to you...
Thank you for explaining trigger finger and posting the illustrations, those are very helpful. My doctor had me get xrays of both of my hands and told me I had arthritis. I told him I had trigger finger on 2 fingers and showed him my issue. He did give me a shot ofa steroid and told me to come back in 3 months for another shot. He didn't tell me to do any exercises. I have performed all of the exercises you recommended and will continue until my trigger finger(s) get better. Great explanation in laymen terms, very helpful information. I was going to call the hand surgeon today and I am glad I saw your video. Have a great day, I know I will!
OMG! This really works!! I did all of these exercises just like you demonstrated and the finger un-locked!!! Been in so much pain, even cried a few times. Thanks for your video.💖💖💖💋💋💋👏🏿👍🏿
Looked everywhere for this guy, for trigger finger before I did anything else. I’ve had it on and off for a week but I noticed I’ve had it with all full hand in the past. I related to hypothyroidism during a very stressful time. Just wondering if any other females have gone through that. Thank you you’re a legend
Thank you so much, i did the exercise it help me as i was watching you, we need more people like you in the world, it would be a lot better place to live
Was watching, I gently rubbed while watching you, and Glory be!! My finger straightened somewhat. I couldn’t straighten it all day and was very painful. Not the cure, but eased my discomfort. Thank you.
I’ve just developed trigger thump, went to the doctor she told me that’s one thing that you must learn how to live with it ,but I don’t believe it I’m sure I can do something to get rid of this syndrome , I will certainly follow your advice thank
Miraculous! I did the exercises along with your video and, after half a year of suffering, my middle finger was flexible enough to play a D chord on the guitar. Thanks so much - will devote tomorrow morning to these exercises.
Thank you so much- I am 40, live in the UK and have had trigger finger for a few months. It recently spread to 3 other fingers too. I have just tried your exercises and they certainly help in the short term- I am so happy as the thought of locked- up hands was really starting to depress me! I'll keep doing the exercises and hope that they give me a long-term benefit too. FYI, the exercise where you oppose the trigger finger to the thumb and then push seems to give me an almost immediate effect. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom- I am extremely grateful.
Sounds like it is very bad. I had the 4 minute surgery outpatient. I had it severely like you. Even my doctor couldn't get my stuck finger to bend before surgery without a shot. However, I have it again on another finger, so I'm trying this.
I’ve had this problem for around 18 months. I’ve been doing these exercises all week and Ive found that I can bend and straighten my finger with around 30-50% less pain and my finger doesn’t get stuck as often. I’ feel like it’s going to be a slow healing for me as I’ve had the problem for quite a long time, but I’m determined because this is the first thing that I’ve found that’s really helped me. I’m going to keep doing the exercises every morning and will track my progress here each week.
Seeing more progress after another week. I feel like my finger is getting more strength again and the pain is definitely decreasing. Slow progress, but I’m getting there
Thank you so very much Dr Mandell for taking the time to explain in detail the cause and the methods of curing this condition. Your video really helped me find relief from my own trigger finger. I will definitely keep watching you and recommend your videos to friends and family. Have a great sir!
Hi Dr Mandell, I love you man! I've been sitting here with a locked trigger finger for about 6 hours, found your video, followed your instructions with a similar tool, pressing on the scar tissue area and within 1 minute my finger released. Can't believe it!. Neither can my husband. I have had this happen many times, but not for this long, but I just wait for it to release. Thank you so much!! Ramona Love your videos!
Today I learnt the exercises Brother. Thank you so much for sharing these precious informations. It's so useful. I fell and hurt my palm upside down in March 3rd 2022. The skin came hanging. The first thing I did was remember Jesus and pray. The skin went back to its place. For nearly 3 days I had no pain cause I was in constant pray and sent my pray request to many pastors I could. One night as I remembered the word " believe and faith " and some sentence on it..... the pain ticked. And the second plaster nearly made my hand sore couldn't lift it. It's nearly 10months now. I pray that your exercises will heal me and do pray for me brother.
Was very helpful for me. I thought I was developing osteoarthritis at the base of both my thumb. I’m 55 The right one hurt more and I was panicking as the pain increased and I read literature on trigger finger. The minute I did your exercises I got relief. Today is day two with the exercises. Cannot thank you enough.
Thank u doctor, i was suffering from pain in my index finger of left hand . Because of ur valuable knowledge as well as your great exercise,i got so much relief. Thank you once again and god bless you.
Thanks my DEAREST Doctor You take so much effort to do videos on most important areas that get subjected for treatments... people get panicked and rush to hospitals and get trapped for immediate surgeries where those symptoms could be very simple that can be relieved by going for simple alternatives.... You are a good samaritan. You are so good in explaining without hiding or dropping out anything...you wish the best for helpless patients to get rid of so many ailments that could be done at home without any colossal unnecessary expenditure in hospitals..and also unnecessary drugs dumping into the body... I'm a sufferer with a Trigger Finger...while I was browsing I caught up with your video and it's the best video so far...Now I can start on all the exercises according to your advices....Thanks my DEAREST friend Doctor... Love you so much GOD BLESS YOU...... I'm from SRILANKA the tiny little Island....
Thank you, Dr. Mandel. I had trigger thumb only a couple weeks and doing the exercises you showed feels a big improvement already. Thank you for this very thorough and informative video. Blessings to you and your family.
Wow I can’t believe it, I only did a couple of light hearted attempts at each exercise and my finger has completely stopped sticking. I’m totally stunned! I am addicted to crochet and this sadly has all of a sudden after three years caused my trigger finger it got so bad that today I bought arthritis support gloves. I will make sure I do these exercises regularly thank you so much!
These exercises really work! I had a feeling from the moment you began to speak, that you were someone special, and I was right! You explained how things worked in a calm and reassuring way, and I listened! I'm glad I did!
Thank you Dr. Mandell for making this video and sharing your knowledge and experience to help all those that suffer from this condition. Thank you for caring.
I keep getting finger trigger on the same finger , I started to do the protocol from Dr Mandela and I feel an immediate relief- I will keep on doing them. Thank Dr Mandell
I've been a medical massage therapist for 30+ years and am now beginning to develop trigger finger. Suffice it to say, it is quite painful. I find these exercises to be very helpful and now I am hopeful that I can continue doing what I love. I realize there is probably some arthritis involved as well but if I can keep most of the fascia a bit softer and fingers more flexible, I will be massaging a few years more! Thanks again!
Thank you! I now know what the problem is with my finger! I was doing the exercises along with you and it is already beginning to feel better! I shall re-watch the video and continue to do the exercises!
I’ve had three locked fingers. The cortisone shot didn’t give permanent results but surgery did. Now I have number four. I will try your exercises. Thank you.
Brilliant Dr. Mandell, many thanks. I've had 3 trigger fingers for years. I'm going to get cracking, pardon the pun, with all the exercises you suggested. I thank God for you. Blessings ❤️
Thanks doc. These excercis really help big way. I've had triggered finger for long time. No pain no swollen. No idea what that is until this video came.
I've had TF for 9 months. I've done all exercises and more every day and soaked my hand in Epson saltwater. I'm going for the surgery. Thank you for all of your videos.
I woke with trigger thumb two weeks ago. It's gotten so bad, my eyes water. I finally had to give in and splint (I write for a living and have carpal tunnel too). I'm definitely going to try this regime. Thank you!
@@N.E.U.R.O It did eventually go away on its own (took about 6 months). Shortly after, I developed cubital tunnel (basically, it's carpal tunnel that stems from the elbow, rather than the wrist and is also caused by years of typing with my elbows resting on the table edge). I believe both events are related. Trigger finger was the warning sign and cubital tunnel (in both arms) is the end result. It's a real bummer and makes my work and routine life difficult (gripping things, writing, no feeling in pinky and ring finger on either hand, and constant finger cramping). Anyone experiencing trigger finger should seek treatment in case it may lead to something worse down the road that treatment could perhaps thwart.
@@BrooklynHudson Wow, scary, I'm the same way and sometimes I feel pain in my elbows if I don't stretch them enough at the PC, my right thumb is popping a lot and hurting from what appears to be texting and having it clawed all day, I'm only 24 and I'm an artist\musician so this has me quite distraught, splinting and resting and advill\cannabis helps a lot, I'm going to start taking collagen for my joints, god bless and I really hope you heal and can find some relief
@@N.E.U.R.O Oh no! A musician/artist... I feel for you... and so young. I don't know what your insurance situation is, so I won't assume, but when you can, get treatment as soon as you can. There are simple surgeries for these issues (and non-surgical treatments as well) and if they perform them in time, the damage won't be permanent. I suppose our love and dedication for our art forms shows in the wear n' tear in our bodies. Take care of yourself. God bless and wishing you all the best for the future.
Been there, done that. This works for me; when "unlocking" a trigger finger, just straighten the first digit. Pinch the fingernail and fingerpad and lightly straighten it. Much less painful. Daily feel for the knot just below the root of the finger. Flex and straighten the finger, you will feel the knot moving in unison with the finger movement. When you find the knot encourage the fibroblasts to reduce the size of the knot by pressing on and massaging the knot enough to be a little painful. Afterwards apply some OTC diclofenac cream to relieve the inflammation. Works for me! Good video Doctor.
Dear Dr. Mandell! I have been doing these exercises throughout your video. I had a rubber band, a rubber ball, and used plastic handled scissors in place of your miofascial releaser. My right index trigger finger is already relieved and working as I type. I will keep this up. I subscribed, and I am glad I found your excellent instruction. Thanks.
I had another injection at the VA hospital last week. The M.D. said that since it's only been five months since the last one, it may be time for surgery. Therefore, I'm going to try these exerecises to avoid that, partially because the last time I had surgery on my wrist I had to wear an elbow to wrist plastic cast which prevented mne from swimming for a month or two. Ugh! I don't want to have that restriction, so I'm going to use these exercises. In fact the injection last week has not stopped the triggers finger where as it has in the past. Dr. Mandell's shoulder exercizes worked well during the pandemic when my shoulder froze which was quite anxiety provoking, so I will do there. Thanks Dr. Mandell.
I want to thank you so much, Dr. Mandell. Your exercises and use of a myofascial release tool work!! I had severe trigger finger for two years and had tried steroid shots from two hand specialists and was scheduled for surgery by the second doctor after my second shot worked for only six months. Two weeks before the surgery date, I saw your video and immediately started the exercises and bought the release tool. I had an appointment two days before surgery with the doctor and told him that, by using your suggested techniques, I was already 80% better and would like to postpone the surgery, pending further results. He fully agreed and said that even if I do not improve further, the surgery-while simple-should never be done if an 80% improvement can be achieved without surgery. Within a few more weeks, I was 100% improved. That was over a year ago. Now the symptoms are returning (much more mild than before), and I am resuming your exercises and release tool use. I am 80 years old (but very active and not retired) and have seen hundreds and used dozens of fitness and health related videos and programs before. This trigger finger release video is the single best one of them all. I have one travel suggestion: your myofascial release tool (which I also have) looks fearsome in a TSA X-ray at the airport. When I pack it in checked luggage, the bag gets searched and my bag misses the flight and arrives on the next one. Plus, I would not like to try to pack one of these in carry-on luggage and get into a discussion with TSA (and potential tool confiscation) when they see it during the screening process. So I bought a much smaller release tool (without the holes in it or the funny shape) and have never had a problem with TSA over it. I use it only for travel, because I like the one you show in your video the best.
Just did the stretch where you hook your finger onto your trigger finger and pull. It worked immediately. I can bend my pinky without it clicking. I bent my pinky a couple of times and it started clicking again so I did the stretch and it went away again. I will make these exercises apart of my daily routine. Excited to see improvements. Thank you!
Hey doctor, I just did those exercises while watching your video, and I must thank you,it works for me.i know its gonna take time but im sticking to these exercises. again great video and advise.thank you
I've found that releasing the myofascial trigger points in flexor and extensor muscles in the forearm, distal of the elbow, will also release the digits in the hand. Gratitude.
DR MANDELL! YOU'RE THE BEST!!! I WAS GIVEN FINGER SPLINTS AND IT SEEMED TO GET WORSE! GOING ON 5 + Months...THANK YOU! I'M GOING TO USE EVERY ONE OF YOUR METHODS! LOOKING FORWARD TO SAYING GOODBYE TO TRIGGER FINGERS! FOR GOOD! BIG THANKS!😃⭐🙏🏾✝️🤸💯🙌🏾🎉
Used a butter knife on my scar tissue, I already feel the blood flowing and my thumb is all warm. A couple of times doing this, I just know its going to work! Thx Doc.
I watch this video after my physiotherapist treated my trigger finger problem and suggested me to search on RUclips using search keywords - How to treat trigger finger. Thank you so much @motivationaldoc for providing this useful video.
Thank you! I recover after three days of exercise. My middle finger was totally locked when I was desperately looking for some advice and came across your video. I did all the exercises you recommend. In addition, I massage the affected area using a shower jet; that's also very wonderful. Now, I can say it's a total recover.
Now it is two weeks... i have a nodul on my left palm near little finger. Fortunately, experienced no locking. But it seems it will be hapen soon. Everyday i apply ice and warm water. I use some painkiller and anti-enflamatuar. I am.gonna write here. I dont want surgery. I am a weightlifter i believe i can beat this bullshit... Help me please. Did you have a nodule, and it was disappeared?
Hey brother, I recently started having severe pain from one of my trigger fingers, I started doing the exercises and noticed a difference within an hour, as the pain started to elevate, mobility is still limited but it definitely feels better, my occupation and all that comes with it requires me to constantly use my hands and I am over 30 years into it now and things are starting to wear out, thank you for your help, God bless you. Tony Parrish... Cochise County AZ
So I have been keeping a rubber band around my wrist, (a lose one) and doing that exercise when I’m watching a movie, or anytime I can. I have also been massaging it like you show. Since I saw this post and have been doing the exercises- I haven’t been perfect with it by any means, and I’ve only consistently done 2 of the exercises, the ones I mentioned, my finger has felt a little stiff, but it hasn’t been frozen or snapping/clicking when I wake up since then! I appreciate it so much! 😊👐🏽✌🏽
Thanks so much! I developed trigger finger just couple weeks now and was very concerned as i am a jeweler and work a lot with my hands on small and precise operations. Just following along during the video had already improved it immensely! Will keep up the exercises daily! It def feels like it’s gonna make itt go away! Big big thank you! Health and happiness to you doc!
Clever one, you are! I'll add it to Dr. Mendell's ideas.
This hurts as the knuckle at the palm is tender.
Bullshit

Dr Mandell You are awesome !!! I don't have the money to go to a doctor and this video means the world to me.
Hello Dr. Mandell
This very video of yours is about 4 years old..
This is miracle..😇❤️

Thank you, I’ve just developed Trigger thumb 3 weeks ago…trolled the internet for tips and gone to Physio once. Your video has inspired me…and I’m ON IT!!!!
You are like an angel telling us what we should do to heal ourselves. And you did this in a kind and sweet way. thanks you very very much
My dad has been suffering from trigger finger for a while and this video has been a life saver. My dad has done these exercises twice and he’s already feeling so much better. This saves him from going to the doctors and getting injections and tablets for the pain. Thank you so much for you video, you’ve been a life saver!
Also b6 is said to be deficient
These exercises are excellent thank you Dr Mandell for another excellent video
@@pattigal1862b6 worked for me. I accually took b complex. It worked within days.
Thank you doctor for healing many people like myself. I tried your exercises three days ago and on the first day I felt a huge relief. I was getting worried this might not go away. I can’t believe how great this works. I have problems with three fingers and this resolves it. God bless people like you. Thank you ❤️
Me too! Multiple fingers. Instant relief. Thanks Doc!
Are you completely cured from trigger finger?
Mandell. 😍
As usual, you’ve hit the nail on the head! I’m getting results from these exercises. Thank you. You’re such a great benefit to us all!
I am a barber n have been for 18yrs. Recently I learned I’ve had it. Sooo grateful for your advice!!
Great information. Thank you!
Excellent.
I’ve just had a trigger finger operation. My middle finger locked for 4 years. This is a great site & video for recuperating exercises. 👍🏻
You are a godsend!!!!! I tried these exercises and it released my trigger finger!
It worked for me too. Great excercises !!!
Why am I having the pain it start this morning (tendon finger )

Thanks for sharing I will definitely try as I have two trigger fingers on my left hand the ring finger and the thumb for over 6 mths .
how many times u do it in 1 day? pls. let me know, i've been suffering for a months now hope u can answer me 😥😓
Looked everywhere for this guy, for trigger finger before I did anything else.
Thank you.
Dr said only way to get relief was surgery. I knew that was bull. Did your therapy and had releif within 2 days! Bless you.
.
it will depend on how serious of your trigger finger, if your finger gets well in two days, definitely very mild symptom
I’ve just developed trigger thump, went to the doctor she told me that’s one thing that you must learn how to live with it ,but I don’t believe it I’m sure I can do something to get rid of this syndrome , I will certainly follow your advice thank
I have had this for years on my right hand. And I'm right-handed! I thought I was alone in this! Thank you so much for sharing!
Does this also apply to Duputrin,s contracture.
Sheila Mc Farland ,thanks
How are you doing now?
Wow...just found this older video of yours that's helping me with my pinky finger problem.
Slow progress, but I’m getting there
THANK YOU, this is what's recently happening to me. I was a bus driver and crochet.
YOUR pictures explained a lot. Stay blessed.
Ramona
Love your videos!
I love how you teach how self heal.
I'm doing the exercise as I watch you and I already feel the difference.
wow... feeling the improvement in my hand as I'm trying out the exercises watching the video. Thank you for posting this!! Thank you!!
I love your passion to help all human patients thanks Dr Mandel
Was very helpful for me. I thought I was developing osteoarthritis at the base of both my thumb. I’m 55 The right one hurt more and I was panicking as the pain increased and I read literature on trigger finger. The minute I did your exercises I got relief. Today is day two with the exercises. Cannot thank you enough.
Thank you so much!! I’m a nurse and don’t want any surgeries!! I will let you know how this works!! Gonna do a video on the before and after!!
Hi. How is it now?
Thank u doctor, i was suffering from pain in my index finger of left hand . Because of ur valuable knowledge as well as your great exercise,i got so much relief. Thank you once again and god bless you.
Gud Mornin Dr.Mandel
I have 1 word PRICELESS
Tnx great appreciation
Thanks my DEAREST Doctor
You take so much effort to do videos on most important areas that get subjected for treatments... people get panicked and rush to hospitals and get trapped for immediate surgeries where those symptoms could be very simple that can be relieved by going for simple alternatives....
Love you so much
GOD BLESS YOU......
Omg! Im having this crap for months (tennis racket usage) and had almost instant relief after trying your exercises. Thank u sir!
It’s helped me so much too!
Wish I had seen this great video few months ago when my trigger thumbs just started.
Please do a video on Trigger thumb
I’ve had three locked fingers. The cortisone shot didn’t give permanent results but surgery did. Now I have number four. I will try your exercises. Thank you.
This is amazing, I've ad trigger finger for about a year and just did these exercises and it worked great. Thank you so much
Brilliant Dr.
I've done all exercises and more every day and soaked my hand
in Epson saltwater. I'm going for the surgery. Thank you for all of your videos.
I woke with trigger thumb two weeks ago. It's gotten so bad, my eyes water. I finally had to give in and splint (I write for a living and have carpal tunnel too). I'm definitely going to try this regime. Thank you!
Me too until now can't bend it properly
it really hurts when I tried to exercise my thumb finger
How is it now?
Would love an update, I hope all is well
Just did the stretch where you hook your finger onto your trigger finger and pull. It worked immediately. I can bend my pinky without it clicking. I bent my pinky a couple of times and it started clicking again so I did the stretch and it went away again. I will make these exercises apart of my daily routine. Excited to see improvements. Thank you!
Hey doctor, I just did those exercises while watching your video, and I must thank you,it works for me.i know its gonna take time but im sticking to these exercises. again great video and advise.thank you
Ferdin Ortiz advice *
Me too feels better cheers
Thank for this video, I’m a cake decorator for 25 years and I have a trigger finger, this video has been so helpful to me Thank you ❤️
I've found that releasing the myofascial trigger points in flexor and extensor muscles in the forearm, distal of the elbow, will also release the digits in the hand. Gratitude.
May I respectfully ask how you did this? And, could you go into major detail, please? THANK YOU!!!
Thankvyiu once again fir this video. I do have a trigger finger on my little finger. I'll go over these exercises, and pass this video to friends.
all these exercises help IMMENSELY THANK YOU!

How has it been lately?
Thanks so much! I developed trigger finger just couple weeks now and was very concerned as i am a jeweler and work a lot with my hands on small and precise operations. Just following along during the video had already improved it immensely! Will keep up the exercises daily! It def feels like it’s gonna make itt go away! Big big thank you! Health and happiness to you doc!
Loved the video Doc! I was doing the excercises while you were demonstrating them and feel better already!! Thank you!
Bill
Dr Mandela of all of the videos on trigger finger…..THIS IS …for me…. This is the very best one I watched. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!
