Doctor Hui, Thank you. Trigger finger, I have been working by manual hand on my job for 35 years.in these past 4 years, I have felt pain in my middle finger, if my finger locked up 5 times a day my middle finger would become swollen. I already booked to see a specialist doctor. Now I see your exercises I go with you every day and will see you in the next few weeks. I am in Ontario Canada, Thanks.
First of all, I really want to thank you with all my heart. I’ve just finished watching & screenshotting some demos of your, those i think very helpful for me. By the way, my big problem and I’m in pain for months now, the exact location in your demo, in the A1 area. Painful when my middle finger bend. And also it lock, when doing something and gripped so hard, painful, i need to use my other hand to pull it back with popping sound. And also my PIP(?) joint is tend to be in a little bend position that i need to massage or pull it to be straighten back but painful. So not only the A1 or the nodule is painful but also the PIP. Again thank you Doc. I’ve research many in yt, doctors, therapists, from different hospitals in asia at US, but yours is the last one that i’ve watch. I’m grateful to all of them, but, and the only thing is that yours is much easy to understand, even though you’re asian your english & demo is very good! Simple but I think it’s powerful. I’m hopeful that I also recover from your help. God bless❤️🙏
Thank you for these clearly explained exercises. My thumb is improving and I believe it will be fine with this and some added supplements and dietary changes.
My practitioner wanted to inject cortisone. I did not want that to be my first treatment. I found your video and am starting to feel results after 5 days 2 times a day. I feel like some days I am going backwards . Is that normal?
Thanks so much for the video Dr. Hui. I've been doing your stretching exercises for a few days and have much less pain in my hand. The really painful spot below my finger has finally started to calm down and my grip has improved too.
Years ago I had surgery on two fingers and a thumb on my left hand. I actually had surgery set up for trigger thumb on my right hand until a medical massage therapist shared with me stretches close to what you explained. I was able to cancel the surgery two weeks before because everything went away and is actually stronger now. Forward to about two weeks ago I am dealing with trigger finger issues on my left hand ring finger and my right hand middle finger and started using your method and now making fantastic progress. I'm so glad to have come across your video and method which I can do everyday as a preventative method and look forward to being pain free in a few weeks. Thank you so much for sharing this and I look forward to seeing other things you might have. Understanding your body is so important and as a history for me of having a full stroke of full paralysis of the right side when I was 49, I learned so much about the neurological part of the body and its healing power. Now as 61 years old and actually having two mild strokes since I still have learned to understand how the body works and how it can heal through personal methods and now, following your page I again, thank you so much for what you do. 👏🏻🙏🏻
omg i just recently experience this 1 week now.i have trigger finger on my thumb 😅and i saw this video and did this couple minutes ago and its gone 😂. i have to do more exercises so it wont come back. thank you 🙏
Dr Alex, thank you so much for this video. There are so many videos on RUclips for this but yours is TOP NOTCH, with the BEST exercises and information. My middle trigger finger is healing and getting back it's mobility and flexibility 🧡
Yes ,I agree with you 100% .Ive been suffering from TF for almost 4 months now .I watched tons of videos here on YT ,including from people who claimed that they were experts on this malady ,but proved to be CLOWNS .Just wasted my time doing their recommended exercises to no avail . I just resigned to have it done surgically ,when I reached 65 which is 2 yrs from now, since I dont have Health Insurance .Yesterday ,I accidentally watched his vlog ,which he has different approach.I did the exercises religiously and now i feel significant relief, without taking any pain meds . I will continue to do these fantastic exercises to prevent me from going under the knife. Thanks a billion ,Dr Hui . Im so ecstatic to stumble upon your channel and found a GEM!
Thank you! I have been dealing with trigger finger for 8 years and have practiced gentle stretching of the joint. You have demonstrated more that I can do and this might resolve it once and for all!
Thank you Dr. Hui. As an retired RN, I did not want to do surgery on my non dominant hand, and I cannot take non steroidal anti-inflamitory medications. These helped a great deal. Much appreciated!
Hi Dr Hui 🙂. After 7-8 months with trigger finger (left ring finger) I finally got a steroid injection 9 days ago. The doctor said it should take effect after about a week so over the past 2 days I've been gently trying to bend my finger into a fist position. The good news is that the tendon pain is gone, but after so many months of no use the finger is somewhat locked in a slightly bent position at the first knuckle above the hand. And I can't bend that knuckle all the way to make a fist. Can you suggest some rehab exercises to loosen this knuckle up and restore it's range of motion? Thank you!
Thank you doctor for teaching us how to massage triger finger. I had a surgery on a middle one ,after few injections without any success ,and now the thumb is going bad.I’m going to start massaging the affected area and hope to avoid another surgery.
We’re the same I also have operation years ago my right finger but this time left fingers hope fully this exercise will help to avoid another operation 🙏
I also have operation of trigger thumb and now my first finger and middle finger both are affected. And ring finger on the other hand. Hope this excercise works.
@@minalpatel6929 I am trying Serra Peptides capsule 40k units from Doctors brand. After trying this for a month I am considering getting a PRP shot. Want to delay surgery as much as possible. Have had a ring finger trigger condition for 3 years and after 3 cortisone injections it has come back.
Brother you are absolutely fantastic . I watched Ten video clips before yours and none of them gave me the relief in less than one minute after I start exercising your remedy. You must have oriental remedy method, which is above and beyond most cultures that rely on medicine, creams and copying each other's Suggestions as they themselves don't know much about anatomy and human body And the studies above and bejohn. What average person knows today about God's creation, Only ancient cultures know About symptoms and how to cure issues related to body pain. Thank you so much and God bless you.
I would gladly give you a thumbs up, but I have trigger thumb 🖐😁 Just kidding, but seriously thanks for the help, as I really do have trigger thumb and am studying what might work best for me without surgery.
Are you serious? Just how bad was your fingers?? Both my middle fingers are bent due to them locking if I don't wear somekind of brace on them at night I can't hardly straighten them in the mornings an it's so very painful...
I was crying now from the pain and this helped me immediately. The pain is still there but much better after the exercises. Im going to do this as often aspissible. Wow amazing
I been suffering trigger finger for six month now on my right middle finger. I just had a cortisone shot last Thursday (10/19/23). Can I do the massage technique after the shot. I don’t want any surgery on my hand at all if I have choice. Thank you.
wowww. i tried it doc it works instantly.!!! im thankful i came across this video. ive been having terrible pain with my trigger thumb for a month and i just saw this and tried. im gonna keep doing it until my thumb heals completely. thank you !!!

I'm suffering with this right now. My middle finger just constantly locks up and contorts. I have to physically bend it back on itself for any relief 😢
Hi, thank-you! I like your exercises better than the other one I have been watching. I was wondering for acupuncture. Trigger finger.. idle finger, where does doctor place needles? My finger is slightly bent for a few months. Just slightly. I saw a student and the doctor who is famous in China, per student only placed needles at the joint on the finger. He did place any needles on the palm or forearm. Should needles be there also? I do have sensitive points along the forearm. Please let me know! Are you in Los Angeles?
How does massage and stretching reduce a nodule / bump on the tendon? I believe it works, I am just curious how. Does increased blood flow work to dissolve a growth from inflammation? I noticed this affliction happened some months after I stooped using a bicycle for transportation and started driving everywhere Instead. In fact I noticed a rapid onset of aging in my knees as well (I am 46 and probably should have increased my bike mileage, not opted for the easier life!) I suspect my circulation to hands has decreased, even though I have quit smoking tobacco and blood flow should have improved, the exercise of biking was keeping me young. I also have been working a lot of hours and using power tools that vibrate. I have read that can be an aggravating factor and is likely the main contributor to this problem. It has had psychological effects also since I am an artisan and working with my hands especially my right hand is integral to my work. Losing some grip and fine motor control has been a terror that i keep suppressed in the peripheral of my mind. The connection to diabetes has me worried as I noticed my intake of sugars has been higher than ever. I hope this is not part of the first symptoms of diabetes.
In your opinion, what is a realistic timeframe for the pain to recede? i have a thickened a1 pulley in the fifth digit so i'm just starting with the exercises and cold and heat therapy, but I'd like to understand what to expect. Thanks!
