Fun fact: Wonder Woman's look and personality are modeled after the creator's two bisexual life partners (all three were in a life-long polyamorous relationship).
She uses a whip and ties people up a lot in the early comics because the creator was into BDSM and so they made a BDSM positive superhero. Her origins are so fascinating, Wonder Woman is great 👍

5:00 my town's mayor once responded to people who complained about noise from the playground: "If you want to live in a silent neighbourhood, move next to the cemetery." I miss him every single day.
Ah, funny story about Cemeteries and playgrounds. My State's law says there needs to be a playground somewhere in every neighborhood... the building company found a loophole by classifying the family owned Cemetery that was there for 100's of years as a "Playground" and got away without paying a cent
My mental illness gives me issues with impulse control, so I very regularly shop. But I'm a ciswoman so people rarely make a song and dance about where I choose to spend my money 🙄
8:45 Technically, by running over that shrub, The Karen has damaged private property. So, if I'm not mistake, she can therefore be held financially responsible for damaging the premises if the owner so chooses.
Havin ran over a neighbours shrubs before; this is indeed correct. I ofc had a better reason, i was just learnin to drive and had a literal karen "teachin me" by shoutin at me every step of the way and she got me so flustered i mixed up left and right.
back when i worked at a thrift store i got threatened to get bombed, to get shot up, to get r*ped, and to get my "shit beaten in" on multiple occasions. i got hit on regularly by old men, and when i told them i was a minor (16-17) they usually kept trying to hook up with me anyway. when i told them im a lesbian they usually called me slurs. im absolutely terrified of getting a new job after that. i shouldnt have to get traumatized just for doing my fucking job
That's really horrible and I hope you find a job where you don't have to interact with customers so much. If you end up working in fast food, ask/insist in being trained to work in the kitchen and/or on the table (where the food is put together) rather than working in the "service" (customer-facing) side.
Dafuq? If I may ask, was there no manager or security you could call on to help? Also if I may ask, what country was this in? In the USA, that is considered a hostile work environment and it's illegal!
@@ToxicLemonsyeah If the managers can't be bothered to protect their employees during work hours then they can get in loads of legal trouble. Always know your rights as a worker. RE: the babysitting one.. can you imagine paying someone $2.50 an hour in this day and age and feeling as entitled as that Karen? she thinks she's doing them a favour? "You'll make less at walmart" - the lowest minimum wage in the USA is what, $7.25? That's almost 3x as much

14:49 That reminds me of that one time before i knew English and I was at Toronto to visit my grandma on my dad's side. We were at an amusement park and my dad was speaking to my brother and i in French. A couple came up to my dad and said: "Exuse me, but were in Canada here, you should speak in English" My dad answered in English: "Im raising my children with one of the two official language of this contry. So come back to me once you've learned BOTH OFFICIAL language."
In Quebec, a Providence of Canada (equivalent of a State in the US) French is thier only official language. Also it's known for Canadians to physically drag the Homeless inside thier homes and give them a meal If it gets to cold, as it you can easily freeze to death
Both reasons I wanna go to Canada. There's states with hotter summers, such as (To quote Jaiden Animations) the oven that is Arizona.

@@Jane-oz7pp that works too. I'm not super familiar with the lore, but figured that since they were based on the Amazons, there were probably lots of wlw relationships. I saw in another comment that there were some trans women Amazons in the comics too, which is cool.
@@sarahstardust The backstory on Wonder Woman's creation is also fascinating; she was based on the bisexual life partners of the male creator (it was a polyamorous relationship) and said bisexual life partners remained together even after he had passed away. So yeah, quite literally Wonder Woman is a superhero for bisexuals; it's baked into her DNA, so to speak.
@@sarahstardust Being in a wlw relationship does not necessarily make someone a lesbian. Claiming that is bi/pan erasure, even if you didn't intend for it to be that way.
I think the Karen complaining about the "man dressed as a woman" might have been being transphobic and attempting to insinuate that she had nefarious intent by putting the word shopping in quotes...
Ah, now we're not just dangerous in toilets, but literally everywhere. I do wish I was _actually_ dangerous, maybe then I wouldn't get harassed by psychos lmao
If I (cis/pansexual) had been another customer in that store and she had said anything I would’ve absolutely told her off. So tired of seeing transphobia everywhere. I stand with my trans friends out there living their best lives 🏳️⚧️
And the odds of that person actually being a cis woman are pretty high too, since despite the fact that transphobes claim "they can always tell", they very often can't.
We don't really know that the "man in a dress" even is trans. The person could have been Scottish and was simply wearing a kilt and still be percieved as "dressed like a woman" to anyone who isn't use to seeing Traditional Scottish men's clothing. The person could like dressing as a woman but still identify as a man. You shouldn't assume that just because the individual was described as a man in women's clothing that it outomatically means it's someone who identifies as female. That's a possibility but we can't know that based on the unreliable opservations of some random woman. Oh and fun fact... apperently some men have dressed in women's clothing without even realizing they were doing it. Apperently womens shirts have the buttons on the opposite side but other than the buttons there's litterally no other difference between a man's shirt and a woman's shirt. I've worn a shirt like that before and didn't know it was a woman's shirt till I learned about it on an episode of Good Luck Charlie. So even something as simple as your shirt button's being on the wrong side could be percieved as "dressing in women's clothing" which is the most pointless gendered thing I have ever heard and I really don't care what side the buttons are on, I just think I look better with an open shirt over my t-shirt... it's weirdly slimming. If I happen to find a shirt with the buttons on the "wrong side" that fits me, I'm going to wear it.
I work at Starbucks, and when I asked one lady to stop calling me hun in such a derogatory tone, she slammed her untouched drink on the counter. Demanded a refund. And proceeded to yell at me about how I’m not allowed to stop her 1st amendment rights. Demanded my manager and stated quite boldly that we lost her services. Thank go she was a b anyway. My manager actually just told her to respect me, to the drink back and gave her a refund then told her to leave. To this day, my coworkers tell me that they wish they had the courage to tell her that before lol
Also, someone asking you to stop calling them a pet name has *nothing* to do with the #1 Amendment! The #1 Amendment is freedom of the press, not actually "free speech" anyway, and even if it was the classically accepted "free speech" that people think it is (and that I think has been held up in court) it *is* still about the Government prohibiting speech, not an individual... and even if it *was* it still wouldn't apply to someone asking not to be referred to by a diminutive.
I once saw a Karen in a Walmart complaining and she said these words “I don’t get paid to read these signs” My mom and I looked at each other like honey, this is Walmart.
Karen: *marries guy from the military* Husband: *has to leave for long periods of time because that's his literal job and Karen should know that and be ok with it before agreeing to marry him* Karen: "So I'm gonna be _alone_ for X period of time?" *shocked Pikachu face* WHY ARE THERE PEOPLE LIKE THIS
You just know she's one of this Karen's who think their military spouse means they deserve any discounts for military personal and that her partner's rank is hers to use against other military spouses. Imagine thinking you're entitled to have an affair and then be legally allowed to force a man to raise a child that can't possibly be his. Jesus, some Karen's are just ...🤦
My jaw actually dropped on that one. The absolute nerve of these Karens is astoundingly baffling. Call your baby daddy, honey, I'll mail you the divorce papers. 😂
Exactly what I was thinking. The Karen likely knew before the marriage. Even if her husband wasn’t in the military at that time then both of them likely would’ve had a conversation abt it before he joined the military
If she wanted sexual partners, but truly feels she's in love with him, sex is sex, she could have had healthy communication with him and had been honest. Set boundaries. Or, you know, get a "friend" in the Adult "toy's r us"...
This is an all too common story in the military. There is a bar on or near every military base that is known for wives going for hookups. Every new soldier is warned to stay away. And there was at least one women in every group that was known to have done that when her husband left. But to be fair, there were also a couple soldiers getting in trouble because they had cheated and that can get you demoted in the military if the spouse goes to your commander with it.
Responsible mangers are actually amazing. I worked at a grocery store and this manger during a meeting tells all the cashiers “ you don’t get paid to be yelled at by customers, call me over and I’ll deal with it. I’m being paid for it.” She was the best manger and made me feel better when dealing with the crazies. It was mostly middle age and old Karens.
My friend actually had an article written about her, when a woman complained that she should speak English and not something foreign and yes, she did say to her: I'm speaking Welsh to my children, we are in Wales. (she did not wear a niqab, so not this article) The funny part, I shared the article and then had it in my memories some years later to realise, it's my friend! (didn't know her, when I shared it the first time) Wales is beautiful and I would highly recommend visiting. I started to learn Welsh a year ago. Tbh. the most difficult language I ever learned (and I learned Japanese before) but it is so rewarding and all my Welsh friends are cheering me on and are happy about it. They love, that people outside their country are willing to learn their language, a language that had been oppressed for so long (you were punished in school for speaking Welsh)

My mom actively makes jokes about the fact that her name is Karen and has told me she takes a weird sense of pride when she informs some of the stiffer members of our extended family that her kids are pan, aro, and nb rather than strait as all get up like they've somehow convinced themselves we are. My ex was a Karan, there was a sale going on for a certain brand. The sale was in this cubicle. She picked out a Different item from the sale that wasn’t the same brand. When she went to buy it, it came up full price ( of corse lol) she pointed out the fact that it was on sale. Was told no it wasn’t part of the sale. Her excuse was that she found it in the sale area. Lol she was then told that yes but that the sale was for the brand, just because you found something doesn’t mean it automatically becomes on sale too….My ex made the “ but the customer is always right” and props the to girl who was serving her cos she said “ not this time” XD
I had a similar experience as a cashier. Lady came up with a $1 card. Immediately flips out cause its not a 0.50 card. Find where she got it from. Starts looking at 0.50 cards, flips around to other isle side where the $1 cards. She didn't read the giant sign on that side saying $1 cards. Biggest freak out over 50 cents I've seen. When I was in high school, I would babysit for $5/hr (no matter how many kids). I did it mostly because I wanted to make it easier for families I knew who were struggling financially to be able to afford a night out every now and then while also making a bit of money for myself. Even at that VERY low rate, I would have made TWICE what that woman was offering weekly for babysitting... I really wish people could understand the difference between someone doing something nice and accepting that kindness vs taking advantage of others' goodwill.
Minimum wages exist so people wouldn't take advantage of others just because they're desperate for money, like that Karen and sweatshops. Of course, since you were willing to take less out of kindness that's something else...
"The Customer is always right." comes from an age where a singular customer could be important. If Narcy McKaren wants to leave a Walmart or a Petco in a huff, there are millions of other customers giving money to corporate. Retail workers aren't paid enough to care anymore... corporate would pay workers less if it was legal.
Exactly this. During the dust bowl era, losing a customer could mean your kids don't eat. Nowadays, a Karen leaving with the threat of never coming back is a fart in the wind for cashiers. 🤣
The full saying was “the customer is always right IN MATTERS OF TASTE.” Meaning that you may think a style or combination is awful, but if the customer wants to buy it from you then you should let them, not that they can make outrageous demands and mistreat staff

i've been wearing nothing but dresses the last 2 weeks. I cannot believe how incredibly nice everyone has been. I haven't had any issues so far. It's been so affirming.
Not quite the same thing but since the weather warmed up I've been spending a lot of time in my kilts (utility type). I only really started wearing them last summer. I've even got a couple of compliments! So if I can wear what's basically a skirt I don't see why dersses are a problem.
I don't get why anyone makes such a big deal of guys wearing a dress. I've been wearing trousers all my life, and nobody has commented on that for years now.
@@JootjeJ I think it would be cool if a few decent designers came up with some styles for men. The problem would be convincing our society that "dresses are for men". Considering kilts and priests cassocks, and the styles from other cultures like caftans, various robe garments worn by men in different African nations, Tibetan monks' robes and so on, it's clear that men CAN wear "dresses", except the word has a feminine connotation. If people would just accept it, there could be a lot of cool options, as long as we can keep the avant-garde, high fashion designers out of it. You know the ones I mean. The ones who hate their models and humanity in general and labour mightily to make them look as bad as possible. After all it's just clothes.
The children at play gets me a bit, because I had neighbours with 2 children that would scream and yell like someone was killing them and people were like "children make noise" and "do you have children". I know children make noise, I worked in a primary school and in child care. This was not normal, but you try explaining that when you get written of as soon as you bring it up. Thankfully those people moved away, the new neighbours have 4 children and the noise they make actually sounds like joy not murder.
Thank fuck I'm not alone! The neighbor kids who play outside my apartment complex are constantly shrieking like they're being murdered, and there's nothing I can do to either stop them or even get people concerned about it. I'd rather have to deal with foxes or cougars shrieking bloody murder in the woods than children, because I can at least somewhat tell that those are just animals. But no, I live in town with goblin children who scream with such unholy fervor that I can't tell if the problem's with me due to being autistic with sensory issues, or these kids are being actually violent with each other.
I feel your pain, our neighbors have children and our walls are thin. I have had to straight up stop what I'm watching and closely listen to make sure that the sounds I'm hearing are them playing and not somebody in a violent fistfight outside.
I love, as a manager, when a customer won't believe something a crew members says they ask for a manager. Because, then I get to tell them the exact same thing they were just told, look back to the crew member and nonchalantly say, "You told them that, right?" Then crew member says, "Yeah, I did" and I look back and the customer. That face is priceless.

Attention people who might hire someone for a regularly provided service: If someone says that they can no longer afford to provide this service for your, can no longer afford to work for you, that does not mean they are claiming to be paying you for the pleasure of providing their service. They mean, they cannot afford to survive on what you pay them. Their expenses outnumber the paltry income you provide in exchange for the time and effort of their service. "I can't afford to work for you," doesn't mean you are too expensive for them, it means living is more expensive than what you're willing to pay them is able to support. $100 dollars a WEEK for a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm job is SO FAR below minimum wage, honestly it shouldn't be legal for her to work for you. Regarding the bay leaf... Yeah, those aren't really that good for eating. they add good flavor to things, but they're rather brittle, and sharp when they break. You can cut yourself on them if you aren't aware of their presence. They're supposed to be removed from whatever dish they're used in prior to being eaten. So... I kinda agree with the person being surprised by it. Still funny they didn't know what it is, but... yeah.
it's not uncommon to serve dishes with them still in them, people need to be more aware of the food they're eating in general. But also, one type of bayleaf is actually also poisonous if ingested (it's safe to use in food, the poison doesn't leech out, but yea). idk if people are afraid of having to pick a leaf or seed out of their food, then they should steer clear of Indian and South/Central American food.
My personal philosophy is that there shouldn't be anything inedible on the plate. Picking stuff out of your plate or even your mouth is annoying as fuck.
I suppose you're not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine. Here, it's customary to leave the bay leaf on the plate. But I suppose it's different where you're from.
@@MrsKirk2203 You would be correct in that assessment. My experience with Mediterranean food is rather low. When I was in school (nothing fancy; I'm no 4-star chef or anything. I just work in the food industry), I was told bay leaf should be removed before serving a dish simply because they're so physically unpleasant to eat. And always remember how many you put in so you know how many to remove. That kinda thing. It's a bit different when people are more accustomed to them, and know to expect them from time to time, but that's not a common thing where I live (central Ohio... blech...). Bay leaves are certainly unexpected in things like a take-out burrito (I believe that was the context of the meme OT read). You generally don't want to put something inedible in something a customer is expected to consume entirely. Now, if you're just serving a dish to friends and family, there really aren't any rules, as you're not exactly dependent on them returning to fund your business/livelihood. Customers in my neck of the woods just don't like surprises like that.
I’d argue that a burrito is a bit different than a plate of food though. In a plate of food, you can see the bay leaf and choose not to take a bite out of it, as you would with any decorative thing on a plate not meant to be eaten. In a burrito, you expect everything in it to be edible.
Every time I see "the straight flag" it makes me think of a prison. I think it's the black and white stripes. Break free, beardos and weirdos - break free.
As an Australian I just think of the Collingwood Magpies, an AFL team whose supporters have like three teeth between them and are all frighteningly straight.
That is not the dystopian part. The fact that a full grown adult person was arguing so much with a 9 year old so much that they *had to* send them out to calm down... that is the distopia.

I was able to laugh almost all of these off but the one about the possibly adopted baby (or sperm donor, or something else not our business) in a non-white family really shocked me and made me sick. That poor family! The audacity of some (super racist) people just floors me. I hope they did call the cops and got yelled at for wasting their time.
That one felt like it could be a scam of some sort. You're asking me for my CHILD'S legal documents? Why? What's it to you? I'd be the first to call the cops for harrassment, and demand they stay as far away from my child as humanely possible.
The child could also be multiracial. People who are a mix of different ethnicities can look like one ethnic group more than another. I'm Black American and my sister has two children with a white man. Their son has fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. Their daughter has brown caramel skin, brown eyes and dark hair.
@@HulaHoopQueen they also forget that recessive genes are a thing. both parents can be poc and the kid suddenly have different colored eyes, darker skin, or different hair color/texture, etc. To mock transphobes, its "BaSic BiOlOgY"
It would be so satisfying if someone like that was charged for a false report and be fined, it can be up to $2,500 depending on the state. And then they could cry for the manager in circuit court and be taken up the chain to their states superior court and fined more for being uncooperative. Like seriously. There are actual emergencies.
The playground one reminded me of the time a woman (with no children) came and sat down on the bench in the kids playground (there are other benches in park) then complained that the kids were being too loud, in a playground, that she choose to be in.
I can kind of see that if the playground was the only place with benches in the whole park, some parks are really like that. But still, maybe come back when there are fewer kids?

And my mom made me quit because it was way too little pay for the amount of work. Also, that doesn't sound like a babysitter. That sounds like a nanny because a nanny does work 9-5 but a babysitter absolutely does not. A sitter is at most 2× a week for 5 hours at most. More than that Is a nanny and from there it is up to the level of care. I currently make 225 a week for 15 hours a week. I am part time rn due to it being the school year. In summer I earn around 400 for 25 hours a week. Some people still think this isn't enough with the level of care I provide but I really like this job so I don't mind so much. Moral of the story, VALUE YOUR CHILDCARE WORKERS!!!!
A good boss stands up for their employees and has their back. Being a leader means taking responsibility for your business and team. That’s LITERALLY the job of a boss.
I also knew a set of twins (fraternal but still twins) same father and all one looked black, the other looked white, one of them strongly took after their mother, the other their father. TWINS!
It’s also possible to have twins with two different dads; maybe they have an open relationship. Or it could’ve been a sperm donor, or adoption, or albinism, or a bunch of other things. The one thing I know for sure, KAREN, is that it’s not your business! Lol
3:40 this karen got super lucky like imagine if she cut the wrong cord and heavily injured/killed herself or the worker or BOTH like what was she thinking im glad no one got permanently injured or even cut like omg
The one at 15:07 hit me hard. We once had a family of Karens accuse me of stealing. I counted their money then a coworker counted their money, then the boss took the entire till to the office. In the meantime, she sent me to the back. They were at the registers and I could still hear them screaming from inside the warehouse. My boss even kept me from leaving the store an hour after my shift because she was afraid they were planning on confronting me. P.S. I was in the right and even after my boss confirmed it, only one Karen was convinced.
before video was common in cash register areas, there was a scam like this, where someone would pay with say a 20 and then once you put the bill in the till, claim that they had paid with a 50 or hundred dollar bill.
There was also a scam that occasionally happened where the cashier would hand back incorrect change and pocket the difference but that was much rarer than the customer attempting to scam the store. I have not had to deal with that situation as a McDonald's cashier yet, although I have dealt with quite a few other wild things.

As someone who has frequent migraines and live right next to a playground, I understand wanting children to quiet down sometimes... But ear plugs and noise-cancelling headphones exist.
Same. I have migraines and some of the kids in my neighborhood love to shriek, especially when they notice how it echoes off of the apartment buildings. There have definitely been times when I hated the joyful noises of children playing, but I'd never ask them to quiet down, let alone put up a sign like that.
I definitely agree in residential areas: kids will be loud sometimes. In this case, though, the sign is from a campground. It makes sense to ask people to be quieter when others may be in tents a few meters away.
The funniest thing about Wonder Woman not being a hero for the gays is that she is from Themyscira, a place where there are *only* women. Most of the people there are most likely lesbians
I'm not wholly unconvinced that _Pachycephalosaurus_ (the dome-skulled bone-headed dinos) didn't die out as a species during that meteor strike, but instead evolve into human-passing bipeds. It would explain a lot...
About the babysitter Karen: if I were to give her the benefit of the doubt in assuming she only hires the baby sitter for Saturday and Sunday, that's still only $6.25 an hour. There is literally no scenario in which that pay for those hours could possibly be fair.
6:44 Is this Mrs. Beauregarde from Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Because if so, that is perfect! She is literally the most accurate Karen I have seen in media.
16:58 this Karen is paying the babysitter a QUARTER of the US minimum wage. (the Karen paying the babysitter about 1.8 dollars an hour, and the US minimum wage being 7.25 dollars an hour) No shit nobody would accept that.
"Fine, Mary, I will bring this to the highest power at my disposal in order to address this issue immediately." "That's more like it." "...Dear Lord, I am sending my thoughts and prayers to Mary."
By ‘toddler Karen’ I actually thought the post was about an actual toddler or a joke about a toddler in a store being annoying like toddlers are. But no, when I saw the pictures I had to mentally pause and reread. There was really no difference between a Karen and an actual toddler

Fun fact: Wonder Woman's look and personality are modeled after the creator's two bisexual life partners (all three were in a life-long polyamorous relationship).

Getting out of the house and going to the store is sometimes the best way to break free of my depressive episodes... so Karen can stfu.
My mental illness gives me issues with impulse control, so I very regularly shop. But I'm a ciswoman so people rarely make a song and dance about where I choose to spend my money 🙄

That's really horrible and I hope you find a job where you don't have to interact with customers so much.
Oh definitely thats what she was implying, very gross

Karen: "So I'm gonna be _alone_ for X period of time?" *shocked Pikachu face*
WHY ARE THERE PEOPLE LIKE THIS
You just know she's one of this Karen's who think their military spouse means they deserve any discounts for military personal and that her partner's rank is hers to use against other military spouses.
"You're going out if your way to hurt your own feelings."

Also, the sign was at an RV park, where everything is super close together.

And people protested outside her house and ripped down children poster on her, and wrote articles about her being bad but it made her more popular. Also she beat up Batman. Read it it is amazing

Attention people who might hire someone for a regularly provided service:
If someone says that they can no longer afford to provide this service for your, can no longer afford to work for you, that does not mean they are claiming to be paying you for the pleasure of providing their service.
If she's pulling full-time hours, and making $100 per week that is $2.50 an HOUR. That is COMPLETELY, ABSOLUTELY not a livable wage.
If you want practically-free childcare, reach out to an older relative, don't do what this lady did. Absolutely horrible.
Even then thats not always a good choice, take it from me. 7:22 Veteran here. I speak from experience when I say that couples separated during the course of regular military operations is a common and heart wrenching occurrence and while extramarital incidents do happen they are no where near as common as some people seem to think. Many couples get through them others split up over them but never once have I seen any spouses (AFAB or AMAB) even attempt to secure support of a child born outside of a marriage from their military spouse. This (as if you couldn’t guess) is nothing but the manic ravings of the awful and stupid personal opinions of a Karen.
I always love how those anti-LGBT designs have plain black stick people holding an umbrella "protecting" themself from a rainbow.
How no one asked themself "wait, does this send the correct message?" because to me it just says "I don't want to be good and feel happy".

Ikr. I was sooo shocked when I read that.

I'm a nanny and the one about the 9 to 5 "babysitter" makes me so mad. The cheapest I ever worked for was 200 a week and it rounded out to a but less than 5 hour.
17:42 - 17:57 It's also possible for someone with a darker skin tone to conceive a pale-white child as long as they have that gene.
