I knew a literally transgender owl. Appeared male, made vocalizations traditionally made by males of the species, behaved as a male, fostered many orphaned baby owls with a female cage-mate. After passing away, the necropsy revealed ovaries. "He" was born "she" and on his own identified as a male owl. He was born wild but ended up in a rescue center- where I volunteered for years- because an injury left him unable to fly and therefore unable to survive in the wild. He behaved as a male from the time he arrived as an older adult, which is why he was designated as an "Old Male" in his name: GHOWOM (Great Horned Owl Old Male). Maybe that's the reason why he was my favorite bird at that whole center.
Or maybe hear me out here - Humans mislabel animals using their own conceived genders that animals don't care about and they can take care of their own regardless of species or even in some cases other species.
@@brothersandsistersofvalhalla But recall that this owl also LOOKED male. If that's what you're talking about, I don't really understand your full meaning here. Sorry.

Yeah, Kurt was... something else lmao I didn't watch a LOT of wrestling, but I liked playing the games, and he was always an A+ "heel" in the story modes of the later-at-the-time versions. Kinda like some of my favorite actors, he was very good at being bad.
Biologist here: it's almost impossible to argument against people using "well, biologically" and "it's basic biology". They usually won't move past that no matter what you present.
I now think that the proper response to, "iT's BaSiC bIoLoGy," should be, "No, that's not biology, that's pop-sci, bad journalism, memes, and misinformation in a trenchcoat masquerading as 'biology'."
I mean, they have a point that """It's basic biology""". It's not, however, either "General Biology" or "Cellular and Molecular Biology" or "Advanced Biochemistry". Because it's almost like basic knowledge is unequivocally not the same as specific knowledge in a directly-relevant field. *begin rant*
Ah yes. Basic biology. like how the dog goes woof, right? But dogs have several different barks from loud to quiet, and they can also make other noises like growling and whining. Why, its almost like somethings can get simplified to help you with the BASIC understanding but its up to you to actually learn more and understand further. Its almost like you shouldn't limit your knowledge to just the basics if you want a proper understanding of whats really going on in the world around you.
Biology actually proves that sex development is on a spectrum for mammals (varies depending on your hormones levels and intersex is a thing btw), also there are millions of sexless or sex changing species (bacteria, fungi, fishes, lizards) sooo biology doesn't stand as an argument against the LGBTQ+ community. Any "natural" argument fails
15:28 and that, kids, is why he is called a father by many. Well apart from the fact that he extremely wholesome and supportive of the LGBT community and is a better father figure to many than their actual parents.
Since most women are straight, straight men mostly aren't competing with women for women's attention. They're actually competing for women vs. the single life-and losing.
They also have us BI guys as competition but yeah the lesbians are winning still doesn't stop all of us from collectively being denser then 17 neutron stars
Hi!! Here's a quote I found on Pinterest I really liked idk who it's by but I liked it "Homosexuality exists in 450 different species, but homophobia only exists in one. What seems unatural now?" (Edit: oml I have never gotten so many likes on a comment ty!)
I have a friend who's brother is super homophobic, but my friend is absolutely sure likes men. It's unfortunate confusion comes out as homophobia. I hope things get better. It really affects my friend because he's a trans gay man, and just wants to live his life without his family giving him a hard time at the very least ///:
that sounds cool and *very potentially triggering*. i like the idea of horror movies about real-life horrible things that should be fiction but aren't.
My aunt (who I’m living with because I was kicked out of the house for being trans) is a horror junkie and I need to watch this with her. Does anyone know where and when they/them is being released?
I’m glad that society is becoming more accepting of the ace community just existing, but let me tell you, nothing makes my heart go doki doki than seeing people make ace pride art.
The one at 12:49 always gets me because Welcome to Night Vale has lots of canonical queer rep but several of the main characters explicitly do not believe in mountains
This pride month has been very eventful for me. I officially came out to my friends as genderqueer. It's been a bit hard finding myself since I wasn't sure if I could still have my identity as a lesbian while also using she/they. It's made me a lot more open about others identities though. I think, at the end of the day, all of that is up to me. Don't let others try to control and restrict your identity it's what I think I'm trying to say lol. Also, I finally shaved my head like I've been wanting to for over a decade and it's really made me feel acceptance of myself in a way I haven't before. I didn't know a haircut could be so important for me, but it is. Happy Pride month y'all. Stay safe, love yourself, and know that there are people out there who are so ready to love and accept you.
If that’s what you’re comfortable with, you can call yourself a lesbian :) there is a lot of toxic communities and hate keeping lesbians but don’t listen to them.
Once again, can we take a few moments to appreciate how much this man has raised for the Trevor Project? He is probably one of the greatest allies our community has ever had. Thank you!!
I love how the SCP-foundation, a fictional world(s) controlling underground (basically) society is 1. Compared to real companies 2. More inclusive than some people
how a foundation that literally secure, contains and protects the society from ANYTHING that's against what's the norm in the nature would not be inclusive? like bruh, they deal with creatures that are beyond mankind. Being trans or enby is nothing like this lmao
The problem with how great the bi colours are in a gradient, is when I see something with them I can never tell if it's gay or just aesthetic. On the plus side my grandparents aren't likely to question why I have pink-purple-blue nails when I see them this weekend. 😆
Queer people didn't steal from the rainbow, He gifted it to them along with everyone else and I'm sure He's proud of the way in which it is used as an expression of love. Happy pride from a gay religious person folks! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Happy Pride to you too! I'm not Christian anymore, I'm agnostic, but even when I was, I knew that God wouldn't make LGBT+ people just to condemn them. I was raised to be critical of what people say, especially people who try to misuse the word of God to harm others.
@@junebunny0712 oh I'm not Christian. I believe in God but I don't subscribe to any organizes religion, though I'm definitely influenced by the very Christian environment I grew up in
@@gfox-ck5xx I am christian but don't believe in God, that's why I am not part of any church. We're awfully similar for being total opposites. To clarify, I believe in the values Jesus Christ preached. And I condemn what people made of it for power. The Bible being anti-gay is a "reinterpretation" of some crazy American in the forties. The original part was about pedophilia and similar to be forbidden.
11:48 This is actually true. The international translation archive and English, French, Polish and Vietnamese branches have a rainbow version of SCP logo during pride month. English sister-side - The Wanderers' Library - has also changed it's logo to a rainbow version. Also, I believe that Polish branch had the rainbow logo the whole year, I don't know about other branches.
I know that the logo of Site-42 permanently and ALWAYS has a pride flag. And by always, I mean that there is a short article that literally just says “This is the logo. Site-42 will always have this logo. Nothing will change that. Ever. In every other reality, this is still the logo.”
I love how he says “awright, get outta here” like a dad telling his kid to go get the mail. “And, remember, Peter, look both ways. Awright, get outta here.”❤❤
Conservative Christians: the rainbow belongs to God. What my church taught me: the rainbow is a GIFT from God. Specifically an apology gift for the whole flood thing, but yeah still. If he gave it to us it’s specifically not his anymore.
I can't stop laughing imagining God after the flood being like Oh, sorry guys, i... i think i messed up. Anyway, look at these random colors in the sky!
If you can steal from it, it's not a god. At best it's just a bigger fish. If we removed rainbows from existence then they might have a more logical point, for a given value of 'religious logic'.
Still struggle to get that OT is a cishet ally and not just a really bi guy. Like it's hard to imagine someone being this supportive and lovely without going through such experiences themself but then there's OT, knocking it out of the park and being how I wish more people were. Also, to anyone (including OT of course) who sees this and needs it or even if you don't, I hope you're doing well, hope life turns your way if you aren't doing too well, and hope the good in your life sticks around for as long as possible. We're all worthy of love, even if you don't believe so yourself.
Hey OT, as someone in Australia, I can't donate through your channel sadly, although I do donate every pride through other means. Just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you do, and that you don't stop when pride month is over.
Okay so I know and understand why people hate how companies go gay for June. However as a bi person who honestly was super ashamed of myself for decades I'm super excited that my pan/gender fluid child doesn't have to hide themselves and can feel support outside of our family and have a wide range of representation even if it is only dedicated to one month. The fact that they can walk into target and see flags, clothing and water bottles dedicated to how they identify themselves. It warms my cold blackened heart. It's a step in the right direction. Maybe when they are fully an adult representation will be standard year round.
I get what you meant but it is fair to say that some companies at least try to do Pride with some taste and respect (e.g. having some special whatever and donating a portion to a related charity or sponsoring some event) and other companies do Pride in the most clueless way possible (like the Aussie Burger King Pride burger or a local bagel chain around here having an LGBT bagel... which is just a BLT with guac added... that's it...). The latter are pretty cringe, even if collectively, they do help destigmatize the community because anything with corporate endorsement in our culture gains legitimacy.
The issue isn't with companies that support pride or go all out with products and things for it. The issue is with companies that pretend to support but then just stop as soon as pride is over.
Joker a part, I can understand why for someone who lived in a time - not long ago - where even recognizing the existence of gay people was wrong this can be seem as an achiviment. The problem is that lots of this companies pretend to care about the LGBT+ insues during June as a marketing stun while being indiferent to actual LGBT+ people struggles at best and straigth up being partially reponsable at worse (like Disney who was been critivized for donating in favor of the Don't Say Gay Bill and had mutiple of their creators say they were stopped from adding queer rep in their shows).
Actually I get the whole 'I don't agree.' Nature, for example, is extremely ableist, and as someone with invisible disabilities, I say we should overthrow ableist reality and substitute our own.
I just got called a slur and it kind of hurts, but the timing of this video's release was more than perfect. It's good to know there's still a ton of allys out there. Thanks OT
When called a slur my favourite thing to do is to say 'yes I am, thank you!' In a happy voice and lean into the slur. It shows them their words have no power over you. If enough people do that then they stop using it cause it no longer hurts people. Also, I'm very sorry that happened to you, atleast you know you're definitely smarter than they are, only the stupid hate for arbitrary reasons
@@strangerinadarkalley no problem, taking pride in an insult takes all the wind out of their sails, they want to see you upset otherwise they wouldn't call you a slur so reacting in the opposite way just really rubs them the wrong way. Of course make sure you stay safe though
Aww. I send you hugs and support. You are enough. You are you and that is a beautiful thing because nobody els can fill your unique space in this world.
It always cracks me up when a 'no homo' guy says something that's kind of a gay innuendo and then makes things so much worse trying to fix it and assure everyone he isn't gay.
Im trans and i was afraid of coming out after surgery ... I’ve heard so many stories of people saying things when waking up from anesthesia. I’ve had teeth pulled twice in my life and I never said anything weird afterwards. I guess we’re just lucky? 😅 Also, congrats on the surgery, stranger. Hope you’re happy with it!
This is the first pride month that I feel to be part of LGBT+. I'm not sure what to do about it but your videos helped me figure out that there are words to express myself and also that I'm not the only one. Thank you OT!

I’m predicting the coming of that one person who always has to correct the tiniest of mistakes and tries to tell the literal gay person that you can’t become gay and you’re born with it.
OT is like the super cool straight friend we all have. Although, sometimes we question if he is actually straight because he gives off so many Bi vibes constantly, but regardless we still respect how he identifies and think he is super cool.
What’s hilarious about that steamroller comic is that it’s actually meant to be anti-LGBT, as if Christian values, etc are what we should be terrified of the Alphabet Mafia rolling right over, instead of, you know, gotten rid of because they’ve oppressed us for decades.
This pride month has been incredibly difficult and the opposite of what I’ve expected so far. I’ve had to struggle to work two jobs and pay my bills, take college classes, be on my own, and transition as a woman without a lot of people on my side. But it makes me keep going because I do have everyone in my corner, that’s why we celebrate this month, because we’re together. We’re not going to leave one other apart. Happy pride for my she/hers, he/hims, they/thems, and everyone inbetween 🏳️🌈 you are all so valid!
I recently came out to my dad as Ace after he noticed my Ace Ring at a family function and he was pretty chill about it. Although, I'm not sure he completely understood it, and I have a suspicion he might still be in that "You just haven't found the right person" mindset. I didn't have a point to make, I just haven't talked to anyone about it.
just got back from my HRT consultation. it's been a wild ride from a gay cis girl to a queer-but-it's-complicated transmasc guy but this channel has been here pretty much the whole way. OT, your love and support and energy got me through a lot of things, in coming to terms with my gender, sorting out my sexuality, and in getting through life. a warm thank you, and though i have no idea exactly how long i've been here, i'm so grateful to be a part of this community. thank you for all the years
OT has helped me except my pansexual af self, and ever since I've excepted myself as that Istg I could not be happier. I was always raised that I could only like men and I got confused/upset at myself when I thought a girl was really cute or really pretty. I eventually came to the conclusion I thought they were cute/pretty in a platonic way. And only when I devolved a crush on my(at the time) enby best friend did I realize: "hey, maybe I'm not straight" As a little Christian girl who was always taught that if I liked wemen I'd burn in a fire forever, the thought of me liking someone who didn't even have a gender terrified me cause surely that was a worse eternal punishment than burning in a fire forever- And then I saw one of OT's videos recommended, and so I watched it. And then I watched some more and surely enough I've finally come to except myself for me. So thank you OT! Also, Happy Pride Month to those reading this!

Oh my god :D I love how you announced the Pride Sips sodas names- I was wondering today why I was getting a spike in follows on different platforms despite announcing hiatus and then someone in my server linked me this- so- thank you for featuring me for a bit! I found them an absolute hoot! 😹My mates and I call our hormone injections "gender juice", and your Pride Sips cans reminded me of that and made me giggle like a total fool. Your art is lovely!💖
I honestly think that the SCP Foundation would have (mostly) genuine LGTBQ+ support or more accurately overall super good human rights support (for staff, not really DClass because they do not really care about them anyway) to ensure that employees (mainly scientists) do their work like “We do not have time for any employees to be homophobic to other employees because if you are then you are actively trying to sabotage the survival of humanity by negatively effecting employee productivity.” Cold (and disingenuous? Yes) but i feel it suits their personality as they want to squeeze as much productivity out of an employee (bc of the health risks like the fucking death lizard) and it’s also a much clearer stance than most companies irl. If u disagree then I will not disagree with you because I have not had enough sleep due to doing late night assignments for university and I know I probably said something very dumb. please do not murder me
I don't remember the number, but there's a SCP that can change you gender. Looks like a red stone, and if you touch it, you spend a (few?) minute(s) agonizing in pain as your body changes, and voila, you're the opposite gender! And if I remember correctly, it says that transgender staff can request to touch the stone. So SCP foundation is cool. When you don't die because of a containment breach lol.
Also there's implications that Talloran is trans due to their picture from that one scp (the one that takes pictures of what people want to be) I can't remember the number for. "Talloran appears female. Nothing else has changed."
@@SharowbladyeGaymerPorate you’re correct there’s also SCP-6113 which is even better, though the SCP foundation is trying to capture and contain it plus there’s a -1 -2 and -3 variant and -3 is a human child effected by -1 and -2 so that gets a bit dark
I saw a post on the I think twitter from the SCP foundation basically being like “It’s pride month so time to forget all our war crimes” and something else I can’t remember

I did correct my high school biology teacher when they were talking about The sex of a lizard, they said the “Gender is female.” I corrected them and said “no you mean sex.”. I’m sure they agreed with me, but because of it being a conservative town they never corrected themselves. Anyways rant over.
I went to this town somewhere in Michigan once. It was called the town of Gay. There was a bar there called "The Gay Bar" it wasn't a gay bar just a bar in the town of Gay. Just a fun fact to know. In case you were wondering the food was good 👍
the fact that you corrected your mispronunciation of blåhaj with another mispronunciation of blåhaj is way funnier than it should be. if you want the actual pronunciation via google translate, have them translate blue shark into Swedish, and then pronounce it
Re: many genders - I feel like so many schools aren't allowed to teach about more than two genders. Things are pretty regressive here in Alberta anyway. People are trying to prevent teachers from discussing climate change.

Hey OT. Just wanted you to know that you're an absolutely awesome person. I was going through a really rough time, in and out of depressive slumps, wanting so badly to come out at work as trans. This time cumulated in losing a long-time friend due to transphobia and I was so angry and tired of feeling restricted in everything I was. A couple weeks ago, I decided I'd try to look up something trans-positive and your videos came up. As I binged all your amazing videos of memes and your infectious laughter, I started feeling better and more accepted for who I was. Last week I finally got the courage to tell my HR department and everything went so much better than I could have ever hoped. Hi Rebecca! Glad to see you here
Absolutely agree, and hi Rebbeca!!
7:39 Context: Kurt Angle (a legendary pro wrestler) was having a feud with Rey Mysterio (a legendary luchador style wrestler) and part of feud was because Mysterio is a small guy. he was basically making fun of him. Plus, Angle was a master of making fun of himself in his promos.
Yeah, Kurt was... something else lmao
I didn't watch a LOT of wrestling, but I liked playing the games, and he was always an A+ "heel" in the story modes of the later-at-the-time versions.
Kinda like some of my favorite actors, he was very good at being bad.
Biologist here: it's almost impossible to argument against people using "well, biologically" and "it's basic biology". They usually won't move past that no matter what you present.
Almost like it was never about biology at all.
I now think that the proper response to, "iT's BaSiC bIoLoGy," should be,
"No, that's not biology, that's pop-sci, bad journalism, memes, and misinformation in a trenchcoat masquerading as 'biology'."
Love how straight guys' competition for women is literally other women- and so far- other women are winning
Since most women are straight, straight men mostly aren't competing with women for women's attention.
They're actually competing for women vs. the single life-and losing.
They also have us BI guys as competition but yeah the lesbians are winning still doesn't stop all of us from collectively being denser then 17 neutron stars

OT: “Why do people keep calling me a dad?”
OT later in the same video: “Hi gay, I’m dad”
They/Them is supposed to be a horror movie about a conversion therapy camp and how horrible it is. The premise behind it seems legit.
that sounds cool and *very potentially triggering*. i like the idea of horror movies about real-life horrible things that should be fiction but aren't.
My aunt (who I’m living with because I was kicked out of the house for being trans) is a horror junkie and I need to watch this with her. Does anyone know where and when they/them is being released?

If that’s what you’re comfortable with, you can call yourself a lesbian :) there is a lot of toxic communities and hate keeping lesbians but don’t listen to them.

how a foundation that literally secure, contains and protects the society from ANYTHING that's against what's the norm in the nature would not be inclusive? like bruh, they deal with creatures that are beyond mankind. Being trans or enby is nothing like this lmao
The problem with how great the bi colours are in a gradient, is when I see something with them I can never tell if it's gay or just aesthetic.

In other words, rainbow capitalism bad.
@@sillyface6950 do you mean Disney?
Joker a part, I can understand why for someone who lived in a time - not long ago - where even recognizing the existence of gay people was wrong this can be seem as an achiviment. The problem is that lots of this companies pretend to care about the LGBT+ insues during June as a marketing stun while being indiferent to actual LGBT+ people struggles at best and straigth up being partially reponsable at worse (like Disney who was been critivized for donating in favor of the Don't Say Gay Bill and had mutiple of their creators say they were stopped from adding queer rep in their shows).

Cold (and disingenuous? Yes) but i feel it suits their personality as they want to squeeze as much productivity out of an employee (bc of the health risks like the fucking death lizard) and it’s also a much clearer stance than most companies irl.

@@lynxlynx6685 the problem is typing in blahaj in google to check how blåhaj is pronounced 👍
Blorhi
I did correct my high school biology teacher when they were talking about The sex of a lizard, they said the “Gender is female.” I corrected them and said “no you mean sex.”. I’m sure they agreed with me, but because of it being a conservative town they never corrected themselves. Anyways rant over.
the fact cheese was a nickname I had in High School this 5:58 made my day.
I went to this town somewhere in Michigan once. It was called the town of Gay. There was a bar there called "The Gay Bar" it wasn't a gay bar just a bar in the town of Gay. Just a fun fact to know.
In case you were wondering the food was good 👍
To michigan i go
the fact that you corrected your mispronunciation of blåhaj with another mispronunciation of blåhaj is way funnier than it should be. if you want the actual pronunciation via google translate, have them translate blue shark into Swedish, and then pronounce it
Re: many genders - I feel like so many schools aren't allowed to teach about more than two genders. Things are pretty regressive here in Alberta anyway. People are trying to prevent teachers from discussing climate change.
Omg, OT's attempt at Jack's accent is killing me-
3:17
Don't worry. The cat just wants to tell them that it identifies with the flag
we should definitely add a "s" to lgbtgia+
FOR THE SKELETONS!!!!
I find it so adorable when OT has bottom jokes fly over his head..
also I love the way you pronounce sausage as if for algorithm, then just drops "tapeworm penis" 😂
17:59 penguins really said "be gay, do crime"
Penguins commit so much crime a researcher felt like he had to write his findings in Greek.
Mom said it's my turn with the rainbow!
Also, I came out as a trans man!
congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations, enjoy being a man!

Congratulations 🎉 (from an occasionally trans masc person)
They/Them is a slasher film set at a "Conversion Therapy" camp starring Kevin Bacon and directed by a queer director John Logan. I am hoping it's about a killer taking out the counselors to liberate the kids. Hoping.
Conversion "therapy" is horror all on its own. No need for slashers lol
I do hope they handle it well, but I'm not one for horror movies, too much nausea and sleep paralysis.
10 seconds in, and I am already losing it at OT's impression of Sean. "O diddely dee, potatoes!"
i love how wholesome and innocent OT is, it makes me smile everytime i see a notification for a new OT video. I got a concussion a little while ago and its made the past few days so horrible, but watching this video has made me feel way better and has honestly made today one of the best days ive had this week.
I am all for running the gayroller over the "sanctity of marriage". Institutions like lobbying, partisan politics, and state sanctioned marriage need to be abolished.
So thank you for the content that literally inspires people to be better, happier, more true selves. You're the best.
My partner had the courage to come out as bisexual. I'm so proud of them because I came out as Pansexual, the only reason I knew this is because my partner inspired me to be myself. I love you partner, all of you! Happy pride month my love!! 🏳️🌈😍♥️💋
aaaaAAAAAAHHH THATS SO CUTE
8:20 it's actually a sad truth and as the example I'll give Disney
They cancelled the owl house for having LGBTQ+ representation and now they have something queer-pride or whatever this is on Disney +
The funniest thing is that on their pride Disney+ thing they feature gravity falls the show that has one most popular examples of how Disney doesn't want LGBTQ+ stuff in their shows
I'm never surprised by Disney these days, but I do love Lumity regardless! Just hate Disney as a company...
