Yes, I'm *_well aware_*_ of everything you wrote!_ My point wasn't about any of that. It was that the attacks on trans folk are really an attempt to get at the rest of the LGBT+ community by attacking the 'T'-part first. Which is what arresting lesbians for using the women's room proves.

@@samcass67 Most people like that see children as extensions of themselves rather than individuals, so anything they do that they wouldn't/look down upon directly wounds their ego. This is even more extreme when things that are more closely related to core identity are different from what they are, like orientation, gender identity, religion, or political affiliation.

Im so proud of today's kids. I volunteer at a summer camp as a counselor and all these kids are so accepting of me (I'm part of lgbtq) and other staff members. Little kids who are like 5-9 are more respectful of staff pronouns than a lot of people I've met. They're so kind and sweet. Sometimes they say insensitive stuff but they're very young children, so it's to be expected. Having patience with them is key, because it can take a bit for them to understand. But it's basically the same with everything else kids learn. They need some time.
We're making progress people. It may be hard to see but it's there.❤

In an argument about rainbows being for everyone, the apparently very straight male I was arguing with looked at my playlsts. He then labeled me a gay male for having one labeled "sexy". I don't even know the thought process some of these people take.

That thought became way more morbid than I thought it would be.

Also I don't understand the lashing out at Pride displays this year. The Pride Coporate Cash Grab has been going on for years, did the religious right just realize it? Also why are the mad at rainbows on kids clothing (which is way more appropriate than these onsies and bibs) which is pretty much kids clothing year round. We use bright colors for kid's development. Babies need those. It makes zero sense.

This reminds me of when I worked at a BBQ store and had to organize the aprons display. They all had slogans or some kind of cheesy graphic on them. I decided they were best sorted into four categories: sexism, alcoholism, anti-vegetarianism, and dad. There were a few that would fit in more than one category, though.
In regards to the one that said "You know your masculine aura is strong when you get near a couple and the guy starts kissing, grabbing or screening his girl", as a lesbian, I "screen" or supportively put my hand on my partner when the sort of person who would write this is stood too close to us. This isn't due to any sort of "threat"; she's a lesbian, he definitely isn't a threat lol. This is because when someone with this attitude is near you, for a lot of people, they can feel unsafe and need reassurance. Because this sort of person thinks they have the right to other people's bodies and to hit on them when they are clearly in a relationship. But then I imagine they would think it's "gay" to be reassuring and kind to your partner, based off the content of r/AreTheStraightsOK. I also think it's hilarious that someone who thinks they're so unbelievably good-looking and masculine wants this validation from random couples. To be talking like this, shouldn't this guy already have women falling at his feet? Someone's masculinity sounds a bit fragile.

As a gay dude, I often felt threatened when someone looked/stared at me and my ex but it was more out of the fear of us not being accepted in our conservative town; I felt the need to protect him because I've been harassed countless times where we live for being gay and I didn't want him to have to feel the brunt of the bullying. I do the same thing for my younger sister

Oftentimes it's not even the first sperm to arrive at the egg that gets inside it, but one that the egg itself decided is "good enough". The egg has to actively allow the sperm to enter lmao

not necessarily, some people just aren't interested, or find it gross. there are a lot of reasons. i've known people who don't like kissing or sex because they are germophobic or just don't like the idea of it. it can be often caused by trauma though.
edit: also if they're religious it might be shame because of their religion condemning sex. they might feel like they have done something "bad" or "impure" and become nervous that they will go to hell over it.

downloaded 'Project Makeover' to see if it was as horrendous as the ads, because I kept getting the ads in other games. And surprisingly it isn't that bad. It's surprisingly wholesome, includes home interior design, contains mini-games and the animation/art is pretty good. I don't know why they have such gross/weird ads. The actual game has no win-back-toxic-boyfriend storylines or anything either. I did get a little bored because it got kinda repetitive after a while, but the gameplay itself wasn't that bad. Not amazing or mind-blowing or something, but not bad. The ads are definitely the worst part of it.
