Inside Apple's Steve Jobs Theater

- The Steve Jobs Theater is the result of an eight-year collaboration between Apple and the architecture firm Foster and Partners. It debuted in 2017 when the iPhone X was introduced, and it’s located at the company’s main headquarters called Apple Park. I previously made a video about the entire campus itself that I’ll link to in the comments, but this video is focused only on the Steve Jobs Theater.

Steve Job strived to create functional yet designfocused and user friendly products. And dare i say it... affordable prices.
The new Apple strive to create the most barebone "effective" inhumane working environments and also products with ludcrious price levels just because they are expensive. Steve Jobs was the inventor, customer-oriented Elon Musk. The New Leadership is just a rotten Prada Apple with a fashionable hat on.
Leather seats and rotating elevators isn't functional , its the opposite.
that video was a 2018 top 10 hit lol, everywhere on youtube.
I went in here for the Apple shareholders meeting. It was futuristic, and they were handing out fruit on trays to us. The employees were really nice; I felt treated like royalty
Was it a pretentious fruit like a pear?

That one share paid off 😅😂
@@eddiebutkaliuk4681 If I only had 1 share I’d be embarrassed. No offense to those who are starting out with 1
Lucky you
Foster and Partners: Okay so what's the budget for this project?
Apple: Yes!
5bil for the head quarters
@@yasasvi4415 When it was originally only going to be 0.5 billion😅

I didn’t think about how they ran electrical and AC to the ceiling in the lobby. That’s impressive
Exactly what I thought of also.. Maybe the ceiling houses its very own nuclear power plant XD
Very impressive...
And me an electrician going how the f before he said how it’s done 🤣
its a shame that Steve didn't live that long, he could have seen his own building
He died?
@@fathacker9238 he died almost 10 years ago in 2011 due to cancer

I'll drink to that
I live next door to Apple Park and this vid is the closest I’ve gotten to going inside.

An architectural masterpiece! Even if Apple were not a leading technology company they’d deliver a spectacular atmosphere around their business
Many memories of Steve jobs
I’m glad Ive got to honor jobs by his seating selection. It is exactly what jobs would have wanted and insisted upon. Jobs was a man that didn’t care if things where cheap or expensive. He picked things because it was beautiful. Here the Italian Leather helps makes the room seem smaller and brighter while still giving each person more than a generous amount of room. It’s funny because the first time Ive picked anything for Steve he spent weeks and made a lot of calls to find the perfect hotel. Steve was about beautiful architecture and was notorious of walking out in the middle of check in because he found something unappealing about the appearance of the lobby. The one Ive selected was met with the high praise of “I guess this will do”. I’m glad in the end Ive got to meticulously look and pick out the seating material just like jobs did. A ruthlessly high attention to detail is what helped jobs make Apple and why their design choices still have a massive impact on our culture today.

is it irony that the building dedicated to Steve jobs is made almost entirely out of windows?
Oh why you little F(RUclips has demonized this word)K
Ha!
Lmao hahaha

I truly can't wait to visit this place.
your steve jobs documentary got taken down because of a copyright issue with some company or whatever. put it back up, i didn’t get to see it yet
Best Apple Channel Ever! Keep the amazing work. Thanks!
Fascinating; thanks for such an informative and delightful tour!
Thank you, Apple Explained. Greg’s voice is so clear and you guys even add subtitle
You are definitely my favorite RUclipsr. Great videos every time!
Thanks for that video. One of my favourite pieces of architecture, floor planning and interior design.
1st and funnily enough I was just watching one of your vids! Great job Greg!!!
We have 4 devices, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X and *Steve Jobs Building*
Incredible video, thanks for sharing the architectural perspective
Amazing video... Thank You Greg!!!
Not only does this thing look beautiful, but I guess if there's an earthquake, you can be safe in it!
Beautiful architecture.
Amazing stuff. Pushing engineering forward
I've Been Waiting For This For a Long Time!
@TMTK 1348 ?
So beautiful! I would to work there one day!
Steve would have definitely loved these details ❤️
Beautiful ! A proper honoring of the man.
"how much glass u want in ur buildings?"
apple: *yes*
He deserves every bit of it. Thank you Steve Jobs.
Good video, as always. I hope the Steve Jobs documentary comes back online, I hadn't watched it yet.
Great video - very impressive building and a nice homage to SJ.
Great video and it‘s actually common to design stair(case)s with enourmos attention to detail as an architect :)
Okay, the sprinkler and wiring system is pretty impressive
Really appreciate the info!
Amazing video keep making more
Dude
That auditorium is flammable
architecturally it all looks amazing
Cant wait to go there one day
Breathtaking..🇺🇸🐻
It's beautiful.
Amazing video!
Such a nice building
That earthquake prevention technology is so beautifully designed.
I loved this video but would have liked more behind the scenes and technical details
amazing !! , one question though , how is the hall is airconditioned ?!
Apple: We love environment so much we're gonna remove chargers
Also Apple: Anyway here's 1400 dollar leather chairs
they were 14,999 not 1400 lol
$14k not $1.4k
The large 1,000 lb doors that enclose the products during an event are moved by hand, and I met the guy who moves the doors-his name is Justin. Very cool
I was friends with Woz and had been in Jobs' parents' garage back in the late 70's. It was a typical garage, with rows of modem and dumb-terminal circuit boards - before the Apple ][. This building is much nicer!
Awesome video
Those pendulum isolators are GENIOUS
Woww, Amazing
I was watching your Documentary of Steve Jobs last night, but they took it down today, i haven't finish it :(

When are you going to do a video about inside apples?
Ngl those seats look hella comfy
where did his Steve Jobs documentary go? Literally was gonna watch it today and can't find it anymore.
I wish Steve Jobs could’ve seen Apple Park for himself :(
hé how about the backstage area? Technical facilities? Light and sound system? Is that the next video?
Hey Apple Explained! I need to write an essay for architecture school and this video inspired me to write about Steve Jobs theatre! It contained a lot of detailed and useful information. From pictures to text - would you mind sharing your source with me? The link in the description isn‘t working properly and I would love to make that essay a reality :)
Thank your very much!!
WOW! I’ve never been to an Apple Store because our buses don’t go anywhere near one. I would love see the inside of an Apple Store someday. The way they design their stores and products are breathtaking.
Not to shatter your impression, but Apple stores are VERY loud and nearly impossible to carry on conversations in. They have kids running around screaming and very hard surfaces that echo. The staff are great at writing up sales, but, from my experience, completely untrained on any of the Apple hardware. I doubt they could turn something on. The Genius Bar people are very helpful and I typically ask them any real questions I have. The one near me now has the wall-sized TV screen that adds to the din and makes rapid changes in illumination in the Genius Bar are, so is very distracting.
Where is that Steve Jobs documentary? If I'm not wrong, I received a notification about that and it was, as far as I recall, one of your videos. But I'm not sure. Anyways, great video!!
Apple knows how to do magic, Dame that building looks otherworldly
Just wondering; what happened to the Steve Jobs documentary that you uploaded?
Background Music? Great video btw
Why was the previous video deleted?
Two things:
1. Try to include metric measurements as secondary text
2. Why do you have an inconsistent branding?
Hey Apple explained, can I ask you a question, why did you delete The full documentary of Steve Jobs that you did? was there unlicensed or plagiarized footage in the video? I really liked the documentary that you did by the way I just am wondering why it was deleted.
It’s so plans luxe of styles that easily got and touched up with in advance thinking 🌳🌳😀👍🏻of stability construction♥️.
Nice video sir ji
I didn’t know about the purpose for the rings in the ceiling all I saw them as was a aesthetic choice that Apple used to there advantage during the iPhone 12 launch
It's a few thousand miles away from me so I'll probably never get to visit it but one can always have dreams. 😌
Some time and different places taking
Wooooooow!
Why do I get a HP ad before an apple video?
It is like crazy
Thank you for all this detail, Greg. Fascinating to see this as an architectural marvel! Apple Park will be one one of those iconic cultural pieces that will appear in all text books for designers, architects and highschool Art students. This is the Falling Waters and Guggenheim Museum of our time.
Hello Kerrie how are you?
Why was Steve Jobs documentary taken down??

I am glad I spent my money on apple products for two reasons:
Products themselves
This amazing apple creation that I hope will last way after us and be as important as the great pyramids in Giza.
looking at the glass panes make me anxious cuz jfc it looks like you can break in so easily
Imagine being a thief and breaking in only to realIze that you broke into an empty room that you already knew was empty cuz the walls are all glass lol...

Another benchmark for apple
Not echo though but reverb:-) though I guess a reverbs is type of echo in, interiors.
Did the premium leather last all these years?
Cool
Hey what happened to your video History of Steve Jobs?
So if the building is designed like apple products does that mean it’s going to be out dated next year?
In what scenario would every other panel fall?
"This is a HEALTHY year for APPLE"🍎
Tourist can visit this park anytime ? Or need special permission to visit ?
I wish they put as much effort as they did to the durability of the windows to the durability of their phones
I think it’s necessary mentioning that Eckersley O‘Callaghan has engineered this. They make up a major part of the collaborative team...
Watching from lines telecom 👍 india 🇮🇳
why was the Steve jobs documentary taken down?
I wish steve jobs was here 😭
Best
The thing with earthquakes is that the above ground glass building might be fine, but there’s a huge ass basement right beneath, what happens to that in a lvl 8 earthquake?
Tunnels and underground constructions are generally save during earthquakes, as they vibrate together with the ground. Furthermore, the hill above the Steve Jobs Theater isn't soil but styrene foam, there is only a thin layer of soil on top the foam for vegetation to grow and for a natural look.
