Did you like the bits where I was standing IN the event spaces? I'd love to do more of them within our future videos if you think they're fun! To clarify, if you go to most company event launch videos now, you'll see they all have 10M views+, but many of those views are paid for, and the live viewership counts are the only true metric to see how many people actually tune in! To find out why everyone is buying an iPhone now: ruclips.net/video/V4D49YYihQI/video.html
I know what makes Apple event special. It's their brainless iZombie cult. Simple. Arun says recent Apple events have this cuteness, that warmness, those freshness..... Yet even most of the iZombies I know say that they enjoyed Steve Jobs Auditorium-event than Cook's boring Drama.
I studied creative industries in Lithuania and I watched this video with a bag of popcorn, like in a cinema. Storytelling is the key. Thank you for reminding this. You nailed it by the way.
Simon Sinek does a great speech on why Apple's advertising and launches are effective. When I studied for my MBA, we used Apple as an example a lot for effective business strategies.
@jackinthebox1817 I mean the iPhones work 😂 there's a reason why I had five Android devices this past year and none of them have taken over as my daily driver. That includes my S23U which will placed on my bedside table until the wifi 6 connection issue is fixed or I go traveling again. Most iPhone users keep their phone for about 5-6 years
Yeah I have noticed this earlier. The apple events are genuinely more exciting. The short videos that they make to highlight little upgrades are so well made and their sound design is also exceptional. Even tough I am an Android user and I don't think I will ever buy an iPhone, but still I watch all iPhone events like a movie.
I use Samsung, I've never tuned in to a Samsung Launch Event, but I buy their products afterwards. But I'm more than thrilled when the Apple Event is up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 though I don't use any of their products
If they're going to act like family members. I'm going to treat them like it. I visit their house, hang out and leave without feeling guilty that I didn't do anything for them. A Company should act like a company. Be friendly but clear about why you're there. Sell you what you're there for, try to upsell you on something you didn't know about and then you leave. Anything else is just embarrassing.
@hamzasultan96 interesting, but i believe that a company is always focused on profit, even if there are any major focuses too, this is the biggest one to keep the business going, so whatever works, and clearly this works best. think long-term
Samsung, take notes. Arun was spot on with this video. Its not what you sell, but how you sell it that matters. So many features on the S23 Ultra, like Pause USB Delivery during gaming went unnoticed and took some digging to find. If Apple made that feature, they would have spoke about it for at least 5 minutes.
i tell my students, how you sell yourself in job market not which university you got your degree from... uni does help but ultimately how you are going to sell is more important
Arun did create a wonderful video explaining every possible reason of their popularity, but he forgot the most important reason - Iphone's first hype which haven't fallen down since the launch of the first Iphone.
Facts! Samsung needs to improve their selling skills. I think they assume the average android user won't care about the small upgrades and need to focus on the giant leaps in tech...and while we do care about massive upgrades, we also care about the little things. Like the routine function where I can turn off fast charging at night, cap it at 85%, then 30 min before I wake up it turns on fast charging and tops off the battery
Great video explaining this, I've always liked watching the Apple events and I always wondered why. I thought this whole time it was the way they present things, say key words all the time like "So excited" and "Today we're..." along with their body language looking so humble and open. I never thought about the bigger picture in their production when compared to other companies shows. Google do a decent one too, they stay in the same place and do it with a huge crowd but still doesn't hit as hard as Apples. Now I see the differences
I know what makes Apple event special. It's their brainless iZombie cult. Simple. Arun says recent Apple events have this cuteness, that warmness, those freshness..... Yet even most of the iZombies I know say that they enjoyed Steve Jobs Auditorium-event that Cook's boring Drama.
That’s why I find Apple so interesting. Everything they do is thought out thoroughly and it shows even in small decisions that play with your mind (Like beginning each Apple event in the same way) not saying every decision they make is perfect but with me being interested in business, Apple are a fascinating company to dissect.
9:07 One thing I like about when Apple does compare to the other option, they mention the testing methodology and what they used (it's written in small print at the end of their product pages).
To be fair, i think there is a point to say about the clear distinction from apple events pre and during/post lockdowns. Before they were getting rather stale with the ugly powerpoint presentation but now they are really high quality and special when they switched to premade videos.
I LOVE that the quality of your videos increase with each upload! The way your voice becomes more and more enthusiastic sounding with each and the way you're always to the point and quick with your points.
The comparison of the phone you mentioned reminds me of a writing trick where they'll show a really big guy the hero has a hard time beating, just for an even bigger guy to come in and smash the original off the map. Essentially it's a power transfer that makes the new guy that much more intimidating.
I feel like when both of the directs come out, Nintendo seems to always be talked about more than PlayStation, could seem like a good video. That said, I do believe PlayStation’s “State Of Play” event is good but the Nintendo directs always seem more talked about
really? i never hear anything from nintendo other than drama because they're a terrible company. last i had hype for any of their products was the wii lol
Apple operates in a bubble. They don't care that something they've introduced existed 10 years ago. To their users, it's only existing now. They could say "this year we've added an in-screen fingerprint sensor" and it would resonate as the birth of a new idea. They've really nailed the "lifestyle aspect"
@Ryukishi07hjj Funny that you say that, because thats what exactly what Apple makes you think.. and they very succesfull with that.. just look at your self
The telling of the story as well as high production value matters a lot to me. This also why I follow people like you on RUclips, when I watch a video, it’s not just about I formation, I can read that in a much shorter time on a website, I watch for entertainment too. So good quality clear video and sound matter for me to spend my time on your content. So with you already doing this and understanding it’s importance, keep it up Arun.
Wow, how much effort and research went into this video? Thank you very much Arun, for putting so much time and work into this! Greetings from Germany. Looking forward to your next video.
@Bingiisyaboi29 what do you mean by "Not much?" Arun researched all of this and out a lot of effort into making this video for us to see? How is that not much effort?
@3:05 I remembered when I was working in a production company making cooling fans for Macbook(s), there's a special production line that is covered from the rest and we call it "Eden" as its code word.
That is an impressive analysis! What strikes me is that there is no way Samsung, Xiaomi and the rest do not know this...or that they lack the resources but still they do not even attempt to pull it off. I remember watching Steve Jobs talk about things and he always had a story to tell. What amazes me is to think whatever systems and process he built to make sure Apple's marketing always put the story at the centre has survived him. SOme legacy that for those that realize how rare and incredible that is. Perhaps some credit is due to Tim Cook for this, certainly. Funny thing is, I've never been tempted to buy or use Apple products ever but I find the company and it's story(s) fascinating. Much to learn but perhaps not emulate.
I like how you’ve implemented some of their skills in presenting your work on RUclips. From the music and sound effects to the quick jump into the chair 😉. Great production Mrwhoistheboss!
I don’t really watch the Apple event because sometimes it’s too long, but it is cool to watch with the music at the background and the good warmth welcome feeling
Arun, you always produce such high quality excellent videos and they are so good that within 20 minutes of upload I’m there watching the video, especially the proposal video was so well though and well planned 😊 can’t thank you more.
As an Android user, I would care less about Apple products, but their live events are so entertaining to watch, that I look forward to the next event after finishing watching the current!
@sherrimoquin5553 That's the business of it! Watch, if he has enough budget in the next decade, he will surely become an apple user. Just you wait... This entire thing seems oddly sinister really
@sherrimoquin5553 Because that's the point, I love the cinematics and the cool transitions ...I watch them for entertaining purposes and for the production value. I used to upgrade to a new Galaxy phone every 2 years starting from the Galaxy S2 to S4 to S5 then S7, S9, S10, and S21 before switching to Xiaomi. But I don't even bother with either Samsung or Xiaomi's events, I just watch the hands on videos to know what's new!
You're a company, not my brother I'm meeting after a while. This is the sentiment I've always had about Apple's launch events. This video just brought my sentiment into words.
I like the fact that this channel is so different of any other tech rather just review stuff you can get educated in the tech industry in general .. Thanks
I think the biggest reason why Apple events are different it’s because they “invented” them. From the Mac introduction in 1984, to the return of Steve Jobs, the launch of the first iMac, the launch of the iPod, or iPhone… All of those were iconic. But, more importantly, Steve Jobs. He was the best doing these events and, even though now they’re completely different, people are still pulled into.
I don't care about reveal events other than one thing. The date of release. That way I can know roughly when tech youtubers get their hands on it and give an honest review instead of someone being paid by the company talking about how great the product is.
I remember the iPhone 7 reveal. I used Android at the time and didn’t switch to iPhone until 12 but I still watched the entire presentation and remember being mesmerised by the iPhone 7 even if it didn’t do much the 6S didn’t do they made it seem so amazing. It feels like Apple really take care in making their products. I have a 2009 MacBook Pro that still looks almost like new and still looks better than most new windows laptops.
That's because all windows laptops are terrible - at least from my experience (involving ~3 windows laptops in the past nearly decade i'd say, and these are not cheap - they are macbook air prices). Awful battery life, not too fast, mid audio, mid displays, mid cameras. I have an old 2011 macbook pro 13", provided it's old, slow and battery has degraded. it's still "reliable", on the other hand a hp laptop - the battery stopped working in few years.
@prabhsaini1 Not "all" Windows laptops are terrible... Maybe the models you owned gave u that particular experience. Some Windows laptops stood the test of time really well. Am literally typing this comment from a 2009 Dell Latitude E6400, whose performance is still solid enough for daily use and everything else still holds up extremely well today, even the display, build quality, and the little things like the keyboard and trackpad. Heck, I could overclock the display refresh rate to 90Hz, and it's such a joy to use tbh. I will agree with ur statement on HP laptops tho, coz even I had a similar experience with a high-end HP business laptop (not sure if its ProBook or EliteBook) from around 2011.
@jasimaneesahamed1033 i use a HP pavillion from 2015 - until now. It can run the latest AE and AI. Not just daily gear. I can use it partially like i used in the past. The only thing i hate is that the games have become more power hungry 😅. I can run old games. I did change my battery once.
My elder brother used to watch and learn from Steve Job's key notes for his uni presentations. Like how Steve never looked at the slides while changing.
this breakdown video is valuable for wide range of people. I learned more in the last 15 minutes than I did a semester of speech class. Thanks for making it.
The Apple events are like rock concerts in words. At a concert the performer(s) may start off with past hits and then, maybe not until the encore) once the energy is just right, knock everyone off their feet latest smash hit.
Hi Arun, I actually have an hypothesis which I wish you could try out. Recently my mum's iPhone 13 camera COVER (protector) was cracked and she have difficulty focusing when taking videos. So I wonder if iPhone can actually detect a crack or something and avoid using that particular len? Because the problem of focusing seems to be reduced after we changed the len protector. Not sure if it's really caused by the len cover or just the problem is fixed. Geatly appreciate it if you can help.
The Apple 14 commercial that has the mom chasing down her son while filming the whole time, is one of the best commercials I have seen. I even said something after watching it the first time. They should be proud of that one
One of the things that blew my mind about the company was when they announced the effort they had gone to to cater for wheelchair users using the Apple Watch ie. studying algorithms to let people still use the fitness features. Incredible.
Really great breakdown. Makes one understand why and how Apple are good at their craft. The word ‘craft’ even makes sense in this context given the attention to detail and execution by the Silicon Valley giant
Hello i have samsung phone name Samsung c9 pro. When i charge my phone it heat so so much fast. I heat is not normal it heat is like it will be blow up. Please help
I love how every video which focuses on some topic or company has the entire background themed around it. I feel very comfortable tuning into your videos as well, Arun. Thank you for the content which "infotains" me for 15-20 minutes a day xD
I use it for image search. Like with Samsung where you press the home button in the camera app to circle to search on a thing you’d like to buy. I don’t use the camera button for the camera. Rather for image search.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so so much for making this video, am just so thrilled with how much information u can convey in the video with complete understanding to the viewer, it’s just so satisfying to watch your videos Arun. It just makes you want to watch all your videos but I already did 😭. Love the content❤.
Actually Apple changed the presentation when Covid-19 went viral… But it is true and some parts were true before! I also really enjoy watching the presentations for the jokes and all those little things. It is great! Apple really nailed presentation. Actually I never know, when the competitors are having a presentation and to be honest, most of the time I also don’t care too much. But Apple keynote is a date I save to be sure to watch live!

they were very cool!
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + used is my favourite!❤❤❤
Ok
Yes it really makes it efficient and makes you stand out from the rest of tech RUclipsrs
:)
Apple's cinematography is always top notch.
Colour grading in their videos always feel fresh and natural.
while windows PCs hardly handles P3 colour range
I know what makes Apple event special.

You havnt seen much of Android then
@abutaleb5769 cope and seethe apple hater 😂
@abutaleb5769 you might to watch out, your Samsung phone is on fire
Back in college, I actually studied Apple events so I can apply it to the way in reporting in front of the class. It really helps
Surely!
is there any chance i can read your report? it's interisting to know cause why'd i never think about that before 😭
Im gonna do that lol
That's actually really smart! I should try that as well
Do you still have the paper. I’d like to read it
One of the best marketing slogans I ever heard was "Don't sell the mattress, sell the dream." And I think that fits Apple brilliantly.
8:40 what he means is that the for the 14 base model, they will be using the 13 pros chip set.
I studied creative industries in Lithuania and I watched this video with a bag of popcorn, like in a cinema. Storytelling is the key. Thank you for reminding this. You nailed it by the way.

Apple is the best marketing company in the world. Who else would sell 600usd wheels and the same phones every year for decades.
@jackinthebox1817 😂
@jackinthebox1817 true 😂😂😂
@jackinthebox1817 $700, actually. They never need to market it though, people like you already gave them publicity for that lol. Genius move ngl

@yasyatsie7429lol maybe 😂
Yeah. They are great an PR. That maybe Apples greatest product, their PR department.
@yasyatsie7429 yea to an extent where I subscribe to them in RUclips simply to watch their ads

Definitely not

Samsung, take notes. Arun was spot on with this video. Its not what you sell, but how you sell it that matters. So many features on the S23 Ultra, like Pause USB Delivery during gaming went unnoticed and took some digging to find.
@HeeeyDevon what you described with the samsung battery charging, iPhones already do that since iOS13. They call it ‘optimised battery charging’.
Nah we ain't mindless sheeples. And we are not mindless idol worshippers.
Great video explaining this, I've always liked watching the Apple events and I always wondered why. Seems almost magical....their use of words
I hate how overpriced apple's products are. And choose to stay away from them most of the time. But I can't deny I love watching apple events.
Presentation 100 but 0 innovation
I love how arun put his sponsored ad in the end so we can get all the details of the video uninterrupted
And yet, your videos are an Apple-y way of presentation too. Each one better than the last. You continue to amaze Arun

Very interesting; I feel like a similar discussion could be had on Nintendo directs vs the competition
no i think playstation is also great with it
@molotovovickow but nintendo is way better
I feel like when both of the directs come out, Nintendo seems to always be talked about more than PlayStation, could seem like a good video. That said, I do believe PlayStation’s “State Of Play” event is good but the Nintendo directs always seem more talked about
100 percent agreed Nintendo has a similar pull compared to apple.
really? i never hear anything from nintendo other than drama because they're a terrible company. last i had hype for any of their products was the wii lol
This is why a dedicated marketing team should really be aligned to how the comsumers want to be treated :)
3:31 "They make sure there's always a purpose" I feel like they forgot about the purpose with Apple Intelligence...
It seems to me that all the things that Apple does at their events, Arun does in his videos.
As a marketeer and tech fan this breakdown was amazing. A classic example of how resonating your messaging with the voc impacts consumer behaviour.
Apple operates in a bubble. They don't care that something they've introduced existed 10 years ago. To their users, it's only existing now. They could say "this year we've added an in-screen fingerprint sensor" and it would resonate as the birth of a new idea. They've really nailed the "lifestyle aspect"
But they make it in a better way
To be honest most of what they do it is the first time, because any other attempts in the past were either low quality or abandoned😂
@Ryukishi07hjj Funny that you say that, because thats what exactly what Apple makes you think.. and they very succesfull with that.. just look at your self
@Ryukishi07hjj Except apple has never done anything better than their competition ever.
Correct
The telling of the story as well as high production value matters a lot to me. This also why I follow people like you on RUclips, when I watch a video, it’s not just about I formation, I can read that in a much shorter time on a website, I watch for entertainment too. Watching apple events are very satisfying
my man apple does a online edited video where as samsung does a live event how can you compare these to
Wow, how much effort and research went into this video? Thank you very much Arun, for putting so much time and work into this! Greetings from Germany. Looking forward to your next video.

lets take a moment to appreciate how great Arun's video production is as well
I legitimately feel like watching a movie every WWDC. I grab popcorn and a coke hahahah
I don’t really watch the Apple event because sometimes it’s too long, but it is cool to watch with the music at the background and the good warmth welcome feeling
I’ve been watching Arun’s vids for nearly 6 years, His quality has never dipped!
Boss has studied Apple’s style immensely and brought that genius into his own videos
His outfit inspired from Steve Jobs
Pov: when u applied what you learnt from apple in your video
Arun, you always produce such high quality excellent videos and they are so good that within 20 minutes of upload I’m there watching the video, especially the proposal video was so well though and well planned 😊 can’t thank you more.

I hope to build a channel someday too🥹☺️
As an Android user, I would care less about Apple products, but their live events are so entertaining to watch, that I look forward to the next event after finishing watching the current!

@sherrimoquin5553 That's the business of it!

I think the biggest reason why Apple events are different it’s because they “invented” them. @Jimblemimble asked
I don't care about reveal events other than one thing. The date of release. That way I can know roughly when tech youtubers get their hands on it and give an honest review instead of someone being paid by the company talking about how great the product is.
Klippo Did he, aye?

@killer666 I I figured as much.
Do a video on every sega console or atari
I remember the iPhone 7 reveal. I used Android at the time and didn’t switch to iPhone until 12 but I still watched the entire presentation and remember being mesmerised by the iPhone 7 even if it didn’t do much the 6S didn’t do they made it seem so amazing. It feels like Apple really take care in making their products. I have a 2009 MacBook Pro that still looks almost like new and still looks better than most new windows laptops.
Yeah, they do great PR. PR is probably Apples greatest product.
@TomT-bn1lm seems like you never owned one
Samsung taking notes😂😂
😂
😅😂😂
Your joke was so bad it gave me adds 8:54
Wtf here also 🤣
lmao same
I got an android ad ☠️
My elder brother used to watch and learn from Steve Job's key notes for his uni presentations. Like how Steve never looked at the slides while changing.
Apple's brand image is quite inspiring to me
I remember when apple used to be on the stage but glad to see that they made there events better
this breakdown video is valuable for wide range of people. I learned more in the last 15 minutes than I did a semester of speech class. Thanks for making it.
pre-recorded event is just dumb, however cool it may look.
Even as an Android user I enjoy Apple launch events
And he wears blue jeans & black T shirt & thats not a coincidence 😅
Can we just appreciate that he dressed like Steve Jobs to represent Apple. Respect. 🎉
The Apple 14 commercial that has the mom chasing down her son while filming the whole time, is one of the best commercials I have seen. I even said something after watching it the first time. They should be proud of that one
For me the best one is the AirPods Max one where with the asteroids etc. So cool!
One of the things that blew my mind about the company was when they announced the effort they had gone to to cater for wheelchair users using the Apple Watch ie. studying algorithms to let people still use the fitness features. Incredible.
Hey Boss, looks your deep research confused the #2 point and the #1(named #2) point while editing 😂😂
No one does it really great like Arun! Comprehensive research done, entertaining to watch and very informative. Much love from Kenya👌
Apple has always been unique growing up and always had a unique hype around it. Apple's masterminds are by far... incomparable.
Love apple and how they do everything
Been watching Apple Events since 2017... And have been watching all of them with the same hype and excitement.
Really great breakdown. Makes one understand why and how Apple are good at their craft. The word ‘craft’ even makes sense in this context given the attention to detail and execution by the Silicon Valley giant
Great video. I always find apples marketing interesting because it's so good. You explained it really good in this video. Keep it up Arun!
Hello i have samsung phone name Samsung c9 pro. When i charge my phone it heat so so much fast. I heat is not normal it heat is like it will be blow up. Please help
You know its a good day when bossman posts Keep it up!
I love at 5:46 where Apple choose to show Adobe After Effects over Apple Motion. We’ve won boys 🙌🏾
I love how every video which focuses on some topic or company has the entire background themed around it. I feel very comfortable tuning into your videos as well, Arun. Thank you for the content which "infotains" me for 15-20 minutes a day xD

Why does it say "2" in the bottom if iti is only the last.
This is an interesting and well-researched analysis of Apple events 👏
Samsung needs to watch this vid.
I don't attend Live Events, I just watch reviewer vids.
me too.
5:39 there is no reason to put a button to open the camera thaf makes no sense
Yep😂
Well you are a poor android guy who cant praise a art
I use it for image search. Like with Samsung where you press the home button in the camera app to circle to search on a thing you’d like to buy. I don’t use the camera button for the camera. Rather for image search.
@Adwiteey_Some androids cost as much or even more than a top end iphone..
1:39 yes but his smile makes it warmer for some reason 😂
Always comes with new ideas
Love u videos Arun 🎉
Where can i buy those lights he has on the back wall during the video?
