Social aspect is also heavily underrated especially in western countries I feel like younger generations tend to buy iPhones because of social pressure. There are literally people bullying you if you have an android it’s so weird
This, so much this. I turn the group chat green cos I love my Samsungs and hate iPhones. I have people trying to get me to go iPhone but I'll never do it despite literally all my tech being apple aside from my phone.
Google needs more top-down experience design. Android has always been derived from Google’s “mined data guides iterative design through Key Performance Indicators” philosophy. This results in too many cooks in the kitchen and jello vision on details that matter.
It's extremely baffling how much of a grip Apple has on its user base. I have a top end 2022 flagship Android phone with an awesome camera. At a work event last year a group of colleagues wanted to take a photo and I was keen to offer up my phone for it, and was immediately shunned because it was an android over someone else's base level 3-year-old iPhone, which absolutely did not take better pictures than my phone. I think you're spot on with the aspirational POV, as Android caters to both the budget shopper as well as high end.
How would you send the photo to them while retaining the high quality image? Androids take great pictures but the images get compressed once shared to iPhones. Unless there is an easy method to send it without losing quality?
I think the only reason Apple is doing well is due to Option Fatigue and Ecosystem advantages. At times people just need less options. If someone wants a new phone, they have many options to choose from and that brings a lot of fear of misjudgement. But with Apple they just need to get the new one or something in their budget because except for number of cameras, not much will be different and once they buy an iPhone they invariably go for other apple accessories without looking at the price.
No, that's not what happens. We all know that they just buy apple products just because they are of fashion these days for some reason. It wouldn't make sense too because it is actually better having more options to get a phone that's fitting you and iphones are overpriced phones with poor performance. U can get an Android phone with 250$ that is better than an iphone with 700$.
@@christopherventura4975 are you serious? With 400$ on apple, you can get a phone with 4h of battery life poor performance and a 5 inch screen not even a good one. On the other hand, on Android with 400$ you can get a close to flagship phone and performance+battery HELPS in everyday use. And just to make it clear, iphones might have better software and stuff because I've never tried one but even then specs are literally 90% of the phone. Not good specs=not good phone.
I actually shifted away from iPhone because I've always been a bit of a power user. My very first phone was an Android but then my parents kept surprising me for holidays with the newest iPhone. I definitely loved it at first, but as I got an android tablet and saw videos about all the cool things you can do (as well as getting into tinkering and technical computer stuff more), I shifted away to android again when I started paying my own phone bill and buying my own phones. I just love being able to root it for full access, downloading APKs to get almost any app for free, and installing system wide adblockers. To everyone who has teased me for using an android in the past. _At least I don't have to see youtube ads nor did I have to pay for any of my apps._
The last line of yours really represents us the real conscious Android user. I mean what I think would be a shame for an Android users is that they just simply didn't know how to maximize & utilize Android to what it capable of, like you said, one of it would be an option for us to be able to install apps from a 3rd party source, and the best part was there's an option for modded apps, I can simply lay on some premium features within an app for free if i were using an Android, but of course if we'd tried to work and have an income, i guess it'll be a wise choice to spend your money to actually buy the premium features with real money to support the developer
@@28Corner I can understand where you're coming from but I have a very limited income and I don't really care about certain developer's getting their income (like google, who owns youtube for example) because of how greedy and anti-consumer they already are. When you have this limited income and want some extra features, sometimes the modded or "cracked" way is the only way.
@@mayavi93 weird because I've never had any such issues. I never install anything that seems even the slightest bit unsafe. As for speed, I always buy top end android phones nowadays so there is literally no noticeable impact on performance. On the other hand, the benefits are extreme. I can customize my phone to a much deeper level, install a system wide adblocker, and watch youtube with no ads thanks to revanced. Sure apple might be better for some people but I prefer to actually be able to fully control what my device does, looks like, performs, and displays on screen. Plus top end android phones have matching or yes, sometimes even better specs than the latest iPhone while often being cheaper. Paying a premium for a brand name is lame.
i live in iran, a 1000$ iPhone is equivalent of an annual salary of someone with average payment here, but still the amount of effort people put in buying an iPhone just to take a selfie in front of a mirror with their iPhone is frankly disturbing, it has become a very luxury status symbol here and its disgusting edit: also more than 80% of apple services like face time and etc... dont even work here so they dont even get the few benefits of the iphone but they still sell their kidney just to be an iphone owner
@@johnsalamii exactly. if they actually were tech enthusiast and loved the iphone or something that would be totally fine, you should spend money on the things that you actually enjoy, but it really hurts me when someone who dont use their phone at all go to such length just for flexing and taking a selfie
I have used both over the years. Right now I use an iphone for work and it's fine and all. But the level of customization and function I get with my s23 ultra is unmatched and I would never trade it out as my daily driver for an iphone.
same i love having a near blank home screen. i had no idea iphones could not put their apps icons into a folder or hide them. so it always hides their wallpaper.
I'm more productive with my iPhone. Don't want to spend time on customization and troubleshooting like on Android. Most developers make their apps on iPhone first due to stability. Everything just works great!
I didn't choose Android because of 'excitement.' I chose it for customizability. As a hobbyist composer, I can't set my own music as a ringtone on an iPhone nearly as easily as an Android. Apple is so restrictive and controlling on every aspect of their phones, it just makes sense to use the more flexible Android.
That's why I even switched to Samsung UI from Android Stock: too limited even if i had the possibility to install any app... I still find iPhones good Pixels but with the fact that they're not Open to install any APK, they are more espensive and they're also considered "for élite people". I can't understand that... IPhones are made to be locked down to fancy sh*tty HWs and people still justify that... The entire iPhone 14 lineup is a joke except the 14 pro/pro max... Their SW update is still on par with the SW update on Samsung (some features and animations are limited on new lineups)... And the UI is... Horrendous... Still Samsung is no better in some things like for example the decision to remove APTX HD but it is just a single issue... Not tons of issues...
lots of things are limited on iphone but lots of things are also very convenient too as mentioned in this video. do i wish i could easily change ringtone? yes. does it affect my purchase? no.
Also as a hobbyist musician and IT guy; adding ringtones to iPhones is actually pretty simple and I got my CENA theme I had on my Samsung S21 on my iPhone in around 2 minutes. Sure it's probably not as easy, but editing and exporting your 5-10 second snippet from a DAW/audio editor of choice takes longer than the process of getting them on the device. There's plenty of other reasons why "customizability" is a think on Android and it is primarily sideloading/external APKs being allowed, and the ability to change loaders for more custom gestures/icon packs/etc.. If you're not doing this, then you really wouldn't be too different on an iPhone, tbqh.
@@johnmarkson1990 I can buy a phone that's far less expensive than an iPhone that does a lot of the same things. Android's price points are more flexible for more people; you don't have to break the bank just to get a smartphone with Androids.
When I switched to iPhone, I mainly did it because it wouldn't deterriorate quickly, it would update for a long time, and quality. My old phone, the S10, overheated constantly, had horrible battery, had severe screen burn in, and had low storage. Maybe it's because it was just a bad phone, and certainly androids are better, but compared to the S10, the iPhone 13 was a godsend. I bought the iPhone 13 with my own money, in midnight, and later on I got a good deal on the budget ipad gen 9 bundled with the 1st gen apple pencil, and bought according screen portectors and cases. It is nice how seamlessly my iPad and iPhone interact with each other.
I think you just got a bad model. Had the S10E, and just upgraded to S24U this week after having the S10 for years. Also, soon, everything else will just work on apple now. Apples being forced to stop blocking everything else now, and stop their walled garden. So win for consumers.
@@eegernadesif they’re outside the US chances are they got the exynos chip which is known for overheating, also the S10 is a few generations behind so there’s that too
What happened with Huawei is a shame. They truly were one of the most innovative brands that managed to give next generation tech every year at an affordable price while still looking premium as well. No other brand yet has been able to replicate that
Except for the spyware :P we are working to phase out there enterprise switches and routers because there just back doors, plain and simple. Luckily we only have a few… this is in Canada btw, they have been blacklisted here for the most part Edit: yes all companies do it; Read the EULA that you signed. Clearly nobody here works in corporate tech, these comments are physically painful
I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro to a Samsung Galaxy a few days ago. I've had iPhones for the last 10 years, and I switched away because I was ready for something new, not because I was upset with Apple. I really love my Galaxy, and I don't foresee myself going back anytime soon. However, I have had multiple people ask me why their texts to me are now green and why the fonts on my SnapChats is weird. Whenever I tell them I got a Samsung, they seem disappointed. That is really odd to me, as it's my phone, not theirs. Edit: for everyone asking, I just got an S22. I know it’s technically a downgrade and the phone was only 4 or so months newer than my iPhone, but I don’t care. I still love my galaxy, and it feels more premium than my 13 Pro.
That’s weird with Snapchat, but yo my knowledge the reason other non apple Snapchat’s suck is because they don’t access the full app from the developer kit and apple does. You see androids are open to all manufacturers who have screen sizes of all resolution and sizes so instead of a dedicated app they use a universal android app, but I thought Samsung and Google started to clean this up, I guess not. To sun it up the only 3 things saving apple is : security, stability of apps and blue button as cool factor, but truth is the blue messages is the only thing really saving apple and still the wheels are falling off
I like my iphone well enough, but the fact that i don't have the choice to switch to Android without also migrating a ton of data and account credentials over... makes it feel like a very tough decision to switch, no matter how tempting the hardware is.
I can't speak to other manufacturers, but when I switched from an iPhone to my current phone fairly recently, Samsung's switching software managed to clean basically all the data off of my iPhone. It even went so far to let you automatically download the Android versions of the apps you had on your iPhone. (If it doesn't exist, it will recommend similar apps) It worked really well, and I highly recommend it if you ever do choose to make the jump.
Another reason I hated the iPhone for. When I switched from my old android to iPhone it was a pain to transfer all my files. Had to go through even more pain to switch back to android . The lack of a proper file manager and pc support just make it even more difficult.
After five years with an iPhone, I decided this year to switch from a 12 Pro Max to a Galaxy S23 Ultra. iPhones are way too restrictive and feel too corporate even with the added options to customize. Most people only get them because its a status symbol.
@@GreatName707for me its actually harder to use. And i have used one for a year. Also Samsung phones are also reliable. So that still doesn't explain shit.
I have owned an Android and used an iPhone for work for the last 10 years, swapping/getting new ones every 2 years, and I would never give up my Android phones to own an iPhone. I love that I can do whatever I want with my phone and not limited to whatever Apple allows me to do. Also having to use all Apple products just to have better compatibility is annoying. I enjoy owning the brand that works for me best from any provider, rather than going with Apple just because it would work best with my other techs.
To your first point, what would you NEED to do that Apple can’t do? And second point, I have had windows everywhere all my life except my phone, and there really is no quality of life problems. My iPhone wouldn’t gain much by coupling with another Apple product.
I own a moto g stylus phone (Android) and I actually like that better than my iPhone. I can list several problems with iPhones: The grouping for apps is way too small, changing the wallpaper is troublesome, "what does this function do again???", it forces you to put the apps in a certain order (you could change it but it's a hassle to try to get it to your desired spot), and your phone always looks disorganized. However, I really like the airdrop function and the cameras. Those are the 2 things that I like about iPhones that has kept me from yeeting the iPhone out of the window
@@ianvanessen9356 dude , dig a little deeper than that. There is a ton of things Apple locks up. How you would like it if you weren’t an admin on your PC ? Seems like you don’t actually own it right ? Same with iPhone
More reasons: As the sales volumes of new iPhones models started plateauing a few years ago, Apple started introducing more iPhone models at much more price points as compared to earlier, and especially at the lower end of the spectrum. Think iPhone XR, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone SE and reduced starting prices of iPhone 13.. This has helped bring in more people into the ecosystem and make them spend more money on the recently introduced 'Apple services' vertical
I can agree. I bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max for $832 in excellent condition verses it being 1200 when it first came out . To me that was a good deal I couldn’t refuse it🤷🏾♀️
Very true! I had an iPhone, left the ecosystem and then came back with the iPhone XR and been here ever since. Want to leave though because I feel like they can do way more with their devices but chooses not to.
Agree. Apple gets more people into its ecosystem by selling lower spectrum iPhones to attract Android users. Once they have switched to using iPhones, that’s when Apple makes the big bucks through its “Apple Services” like Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, Apple Pay, etc… That’s how Apple has been playing the long game.
Was a die hard android purist but bought an iPhone for iMessage. The lack of all the customization options and fun modding capabilities sucks but I’ve come to love the iPhone for its simplicity. It’s a very good product all around. It’s hard to understand unless you’ve owned one.
Now that I have a macbook pro, I'm ditching my galaxy s24+ for an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Once I discovered how well apple Systems communicate with each other, android meant nothing to me anymore, lol. Personally, I gave up on the android customization factor long ago. My phone is just a content consumption device, I'm no edge lord teen anymore, an iPhone will do fine and be air dropping content or cloud syncing for my edits
@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 it's absolutely true. I already had an iPhone when I bought my MacBook and it's an absolute breeze. It was super easy to see too, I just turned it on, did some settings like the language, logged in with my apple id and my MacBook was ready to go. For comparison my husband got a Samsung laptop and it took him twice as long if not longer to set up. I bought iPhone because it's reliable, but it's the convinience, that's how Apple got me!
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson18216 pro max is crazy though💀. I don't blame you though, the new apple AI that's gonna be integrated with the iphone 16s looks pretty cool. I'm looking to get my first iphone this year too. I'm gonna go with an iphone 13 just to have a feel of the iphone for the first time and see what's up about it
I still get the "you can't afford an iPhone" on occasion....I hit them back with "actually my Samsung (S23U) is more expensive than the Pro Max". Then I get a weird look like the person doesn't believe there's more expensive phones out there.
true. more expensive and phones that actually give you accessories like charger, headphones, charring dock station. apple normies then look at you like you invented a wheel LMAO
I get it all the time with my oppo find X 5 pro people look at me and say I bought a cheap Chinese phone because they've never heard of the brand, so I then go into detail about specs and that I actually got a charger with my phone and they shut up 😂
They are unbelievably ignorant, its wild. They always seem to know absolutely nothing about tech, just getting whatever is popular. These people always follow trends like this, never an original bone in their body and it's so lame.
I am one of those people with A LOT of disposable income, and yet I never purchased an iPhone in my whole life (I'm still using a Galaxy Note 9 since 2018 and I am only considering upgrading it now because it no longer receives security updates). I also have a first generation iPad Pro that I bought 6 years ago, in January 2017, which, again, I'm considering upgrading now because of the limited amount of RAM which is starting to affect even basic things like email usage. Most people in my place would probably buy the latest and greatest phone/tablet each year. And, don't get me wrong, I've been an IT professional for the past 20+ years, I am in the 'power user' category! So, I still don't understand WHY some people think they 'need' the latest and greatest device each year (even though, statistically, most people only use their devices for social media).

Nice, I'm still holding my samsung note 9, you may consider custom rom if you have exynos variant. My Note 9 have second life of One Ui 5.1 😇😇 still kicking
Yeah, smartphones need longer software support. My iPhone 6 Plus from 2014 is still getting security updates in 2023, and the 2015 generation got iOS 9 through 15. It’s not my main phone anymore(I use the 13 mini), but I still use it around the house. My friend gifted me a flagship Galaxy S8 that got like 2.5 years of updates, and my friend’s “flagship killer” One Plus 6(2018) was bricked by the sunsetting of 3G less than 4 years later. That iPhone 6 is still fully capable of calls on cellular networks, something most would say is an integral function of a smartphone. Not every iOS use upgrades like a rabid animal, though some certainly do. I just like my stuff to last. The 2018 iPad Pro is worth a look, as it is almost as capable as the new ones with how iPadOS stands currently. I got one(256 and cellular!) for $350/400 a year or so ago to replace my ancient iPad 2, lol. Needless to say, I use my iPad a lot more than I ever did. All storage options other than the terabyte get 4GBs, which is double the amount of the model I’m sure you have(9.7”). I won’t lie, I am tempted by that iPad mini 6th gen. I’ll get one when the iPad Pro gets old.
I love my iPhone mostly for simplicity and less issues. I’ve had both over the years and my iPhone has never given me any major issues. I’ve always had an issue with every galaxy phone I’ve had.
@@lilacghoste8366 I never understood why people make dumb comments online. What part of what I said makes you think I don’t understand how cell phones work?
Well try comparing the prices of both the devices. In general people always compare the 200$ mid range android phone with a 1000$ iphone. It would be fairer to compare an Android flagship to the iphone. In that case I have found the android to be always better.

@@Slain01 Yup. Average brain of Apple user is "I have a good camera". What about Samsung Galaxy S series? What about Google Pixel? People are bandwagoners, or at least most of them are. I owned variety of phones including Iphone, but every two years I change it for different brand to make my experience revitalized. People buy Iphone for the sake of having Iphone, not because they have thoroughly investigated their preferences and what they really want. This message doesn't mean that Iphone is bad, far from that, it's the smoothest phone with a very good camera and software, but not leaving space open for other options is something I could never understand.
Yeah at this point its kinda disturbing how even young kids in my country rather buy an iphone xs that is 4 years old and not buy a new phone like a pixel 5A, pixel 6A or a poco f4 which are all better than that old iphone but as you argued its for the name and status, props to Apple for making it that way it's not easy it requires courage and taking huge risk in an unforgiving market.
I think Arun broke it down quite well. What seems like anti-consumer at first assures good user experience in the long term. Unsatisfied users tend to change things but satisfied users stick to their brand. And actually same happened to me. I was unsatisfied with androids glitches and bugs. Switched from Huawei to Samsung still had glitches and bugs. Then switched to apple and they never gave me a reason to switch back. I heard the glitches and bugs are fixed now, but I’m happy with the iphone. This creates the loyalty and therefore status I think.
@@asant90 do you compare pixel 6a for example to iphone xs ? i mean sure iphone is user friendly but android 13 on 6A is also incredibly smooth and bug free, you could compare 6A or 5A to iphone SE 2022 but not to xs , thats an insult.
I think two other hand in hand factors Apple has are their physical retail stores, which I think only Google has a couple Pixel stores and their in house trade in program, which is really good. Being able going to a store with a phone in hand and walk out with a new phone in just a few minutes without having to deal with the carrier salesmen is actually a huge benefit to Apple
I can't agree, i see your point, but as an android user who is too poor to get an iphone, what? there are plenty of places where i can walk in and get an idk xiaomi 12t pro or something, and EVEN THEN i would NEVER do that because it costs like 200$ more if i were to get it from a real life store instead of ordering it online.
They have perfected marketing to 10000%. That being said, people need to start choosing competitors or else the market will get stale. I hope there is a big breakthrough so this stagnation can be done. I'm tired of Apple slowing down innovation. There is definitely an untapped market of people waiting for the next big thing but I feel like it has to be like a new company with the marketing of Apple while having crazy good innovation and that is unfortunately the hardest thing to do. Not to mention building a whole ecosystem like Apple does around that phone.
The comment of " Apple allows" is really telling, that is why I choose to stick with Android, Apple just seems to have too much control over the devices they make, and I get really irritated that if I buy a very expensive phone from Apple, they are then going to tell me how I can or cannot use it. I know Android has its issues, but Apples controlling behavior is just too much.

Apple barely control anything, they limit you but never control. They actually give you a lot of freedom within that limited area. I prefer this then the anything goes approach of Android because I'd rather not beta test a feature that Apple will get in a few years done better. Also Apple Music is one of the best things Apple has done in the recent years. They instantly matched Spotify on quality and features whilst seamlessly integrating iTunes into it.

Am an Android user, but I can't get over the fact that if I had iphone I could do this and that with my friends, the apple ecosystem is so tight - once your in there's no way out 😂. One of the reasons I haven't switch yet
I just recently managed to extract myself from almost all apple devices. I have a windows pc, an s23 ultra, and a galaxy watch 5. the only apple product i use is my air pods, and that's only because i hate the headphones with the silicone tips to fit into your ear. my ear isn't shaped for those so i can't use them. the old school air pods 2 fit perfectly though, so use those. beyond that i'm free of apple and it's nice. until apple breaks out a folding phone or something, i'm done with all that.
I was long time Android user. I bought my first iPhone recently. This was money well wasted. At least for me, the Android user experience was much better. This is my last iPhone for sure.
I feel like with Gen Z, it's more of a fashion statement/status symbol type thing. I'm at uni right now and I'm 30 but most people around me are 20. They don't care about the best features or the best camera or customisability or any of that stuff. I notice the older students are fine buying Android or iPhone but the younger ones are often insistent that they have an iPhone and nothing else will do even if a specific Android would be better for their own needs
I'm part of Gen z but I prefer Android. I'm the different one. Everyone in my class wants an iPhone because of status etc... I don't... I like to be free and do whatever I want with my phone. If I'm going to spend 600+$ on a phone, I need to do whatever I want with it, because I spent a lot of money. By paying the same price you get more with android phones.
@@alexl3791 I am also gen Z and also prefer Android. I got a deal on a pixel 6a and I could get one for free, went to school, couple guys laughed at me because they have iphone 12s which are around same specs but 300 euro more.
The BIGGEST problem I have with ios is the lack of 3rd party support. I want to install mods, use termux to build my apps on my phone, install anything from anywhere I like.
I also did the switch to apple 2 months ago after using android for 13 years now and I’m not missing it. It has its benefits but you get around everything somehow :)
@@Unkn0wnz_anon there's a thing called root for Android too and it unlocks even more. Jailbreaking is not a solution to compete with what android supports natively.
People that want to do this are a small minority. Most people just want a phone that does what phones do very well. Apple has mastered how to cater to the latter very well, and it's clearly a winning formula.
I bought an iPhone 11 pro in July 2020 and it's still competitive to November 2023 mobiles even though it's not having 5G and it's so smooth to hold in my hand 😍
I do miss the times when Android phone manufacturers took bigger risks with their designs/features. I wonder if this rather-recent unwillingness to take risks is partially linked to Covid-related slowdown of the economy and quarantines. As for iPhone's networking effect. Being from a country where the default messaging/video chatting tools are the messaging apps (WA/TG) but still with a fairly large share of iPhone users, I've never seen anyone actually use iMessage and FaceTime (I'd never even heard about the iMessage Android incompatibility thing before the MKBHD's video on the blue and green bubbles). So I'd say the networking pressure is generally more of an American iPhone user thing.
I think he's spot on in saying risk doesn't sell. There are no new "wow" features that people want - people want better camera, better battery life, and their apps that they were using before, that's all. So manufacturers make just that. I am one of these people because the phone is now a fixed part of my life. I have no interest playing around with the tech - I want it to change as little as possible, because I spend my time on other things. Even apps - I don't like when they keep updating, every time they break stuff - I just want to keep using the same UI... or they release a new version of iOS and there's a ton of needless changes - I'd rather it stays the same. I just need it to work, and get out of my way.
Im not sure if you watched the video or not but Android phone makers dont take big risks anymore because the nature flow of the market limits it to a small userbase and not to people who are already comfortable with what they have
I was an iPhone fan for years and I get the allure, but the Galaxy Note, its pen and its expandable storage captured me, also real multitasking with 2 or more apps open at once sealed the deal. I am a professional that creates content. I never went back to iPhone since the X, I felt that Apple just sells the same thing over and over again and so far I’ve been right. I do own an iPad Pro and a PC so staying in an ecosystem isn’t a thing for me, I don’t wanna get locked down to just one thing and become a slave to it, whether its Apple, Samsung or Windows.
It's interesting to see how consumer behavior shifts over time. While the allure of owning the latest iPhone may be strong for many, it's important to also consider long-term financial goals :)
@@zandaughtry7936 i mean your grandma is probably only use it as communication device and dont really care about modern apps & features that requires good processors
Everyone’s just grown up now and can afford that shiny toy that they always wanted as a kid just for the feels. Well at least this was the case for me.
The ecosystem stuff is good. I don't like iphone, but the MacBooks are amazing and they definitely give a feeling of "oh if I had ipad and iphone and apple watch, this experience would just be so much nicer"
As someone who switched from Android to Iphone i must say i wont be going back. The smoothness the "it just works" is amazing, i can't tell you how many lags and just freezes i experienced on Androids that are "Flagships": But with IPhone IT JUST WORKS.
As someone who switched to Apple to last, I am switching back to Android when I can. Tired of everything hardware or software being limited if Apple doesn't approve of it. Also everything is overrated about the battery life and user experience, it is just Apple users wanting to feel superior
My own phone has pretty good battery life and I've been using it for a year and a half. Seems like apple puts weak sauce batteries into iphones. It's definitely not for longevity either
I love the point about Huawei at the end because at the time of their quick rise they were clearly gunning for iPhone users with the way they marketed their products. Specifically I think they had a focus on Android fans who had considered/wanted to switch but didn’t quite like iOS. In that time that Huawei was taking over the world, Apple had time to mature its product and when Huawei collapsed, iOS all of a sudden wasn’t so unattractive to those users
Happened to me. From ip6 to mate 20 pro to ip12. But i end up not liking ip12 and sold it. Now i'm using mi11t pro. I feel huawei is still better than xiaomi but i would rather go for it than ip
It's true, but as a developer I feel, and know how much less they offer, usually you would sacrifice freedom for security, but apple somehow made their phones less secure while being way more restricted.
Being less secure isn't entirely true. The base iPhone is stealing less of your data than a base Android phone until you de-google it. I'm more a fan of android for the fact that I *can* de-google though.
Exactly. Ive heard so many people say "iphones dont get viruses" Like bro 99.9% of viruses dont show themselves....also because iphones are used more, theres more demand by hackers to actualy hack them...

I’ve always been Samsung, but I decided to switch to Apple with the iPhone 14 pro as the notch was gone and it seemed compelling, and I don’t regret it one bit. Apples devices are expensive but they’re all perfect and flawless with each other. Everyone’s right when they say the ecosystem is so deep once you’re in there you can’t get out 😅
yeah this is a HUGE lie the 14 is the same as the 11 there not a SINGLE thing that makes the 14 better than the 11 or anything and i know i had both the 11 and the 14 plus as of rn typings this this shit is ass and im switching right back to android .
@@tohhhype2043 just be honest and say that youre not an enthusiast. the 14 pro is not even in the same realm as the 11. If youre talking about software, of course theyre very similar, apple actually gives their old phones the newest ios updates for years, unlike any android brand.
@tohhhype2043 well the way you're talking, even a 100-dollar phone does the same basic stuff as a 1000-dollar phone. It's the subtle improvements that make it better.
@@tohhhype2043 I can apply that logic to what can your S23 ultra do that your note 9 couldn’t? Phones nowadays are so tiny in their changes. But to answer your question, iPhone 14 pro (not plus) has a better camera than the 11 and the dynamic island is an amazing idea to keep the bigger hole punch but make it into a solid piece of technology. Do you see the iPhone 11 or any android phone doing that? No. I wouldn’t go from 14 to 15 as the changes are so small, but 11 to 14 pro especially is a massive step up
I literally just switched from my iphone 12 pro max to a galaxy z flip 4 today. I really really love my new phone. Its been really interesting seeing everyone's reaction to me moving from iphone to android. Personall, I enjoy my tech most when its exciting and innovative. I giggle every time I open and close my phone. There's a joy and childlike wonder to this phone that just wasn't there the last time I upgrade. It feels like a new toy that I want to play with, rather than a chore to keep up with whats new. As long as it brings genuine joy into my life, and does the job it needs to do, I don't care about specs, and as long as android keeps making new, fun stuff, I'm gonna stick with it.
Grats on your new phone! Just ordered a Sony Xperia 1 V to replace my Xiaomi 12 phone myself. My first smartphone was an iPhone, swapped that for a Samsung as my 2nd device, and sticked with Android ever since.
So you won't mention about the celebs and so-called influencers who elevated this status of Apple? They created this status that everyone desires to join, hence their next product is an Apple device. I think that is the number one reason behind Apple's growth despite anti-consumer practices.
The same way as Beats headphones enev if their headphones where the worst of the worst of the worst... They even added weight to make it feel "premium"...
This only applies in non-developed nations where it’s out of reach of common folk. An iPhone is the most common phone in many developed countries. That’s like saying having a Toyota Corolla is a “status symbol” - no it’s not it’s literally the most common middle class device. No that’s not the number one reason behind growth, love how you think you have a better reasoning than Arun who actually does some research before he speaks - it’s software and ecosystem lock in. Believe it or not, not all of us enjoys using Windows or Android and want an alternative to that.
idk dude I saw an iPod Touch and a Mac as a child and I immediately fell in love with the aesthetic and then it turned me into an Apple fan. The products look really pretty and work for certain people, they didn't get that reputation when RUclips celebrities were a thing
I switched from my Samsung S8 to the iPhone SE 2022 two years ago but it wasn't even because I got it at a price after rebate of $279. I only had my $850 Samsung S8 for about 19mos before it became obsolete. They quit supporting it with even Urgent updates 2yrs after it first came out and since I bought mine late it turned into a doorstop early. It wasn't even paid for yet! My SE3 gets support for about 6yrs. Apple usually has a Security Patch in days when new malware is identified. It took Samsung about 3 months for the same process because not only did they have to wait for Google's patch, but then they had to program it to work on Samsung's proprietary overlay of the user interface. I will never go back just for these security reasons even though I loved my S8. I'm very happy with the iPhone SE. Another bonus, try calling Samsung Customer Service (if it even exits). I can get an English speaking human iPhone Tech on the phone just about anytime I choose to call or I can stop at an Apple Store to speak to someone in person.
The most undesirable thing I've experienced in Apple ecosystem (including iOS and MacOS) is that it is limiting me in so many ways. Sometimes, when you really got your hands-on to one platform, there's no going back. There you feel the real opportunity cost between the two products. You're gonna loose some benefits over the other if pick one over another. Someone may argue that "then let's buy the both". But that is not the practical way in terms of daily priorities. However, what I appreciate is that, the one I'm going to buy should offer me a decent job for the price I paid for it. In that sense, Android is still flexible to me. Anyway... love the both phones.
one more reason you didn't add was the fact that in places like Africa.. people prefer to use iPhones because they're a store of value. its super easy to sell an iphone in Ghana and the market value is quite easy to determine. a buyer can easily be found within a day or two so people can easily sell their phones for cash in hard times (we don't have pawn shops here) and easily replace them when their economic situation is better.
I live in Africa, and this is wrong. If people wanted a store of value, they wont buy something with a value that depreciates over time. People buy iphones here for the same reason its bought in other places. To be part of the trend. But also, it's now easier to look cool and rich at first impression. Just get the trending iphones.
@@rustylarry7465 I think the main Apple Stores do but I worked for a subsidiary retail chain in Canada that has all of the services and products an Apple Store would have but with half of the overhead operating costs. I worked as a tech but we had access to all of the same tools, training, equipment, Apple internal diagnostic systems - you name it - as the big stores would.
@@MisfitGl I gladly would...if they didn't outsource all their hardware repairs to the lowest bidder that the carriers select for their repairs (which often return to the customer in worse shape than they were sent in). But think about it: Samsung has such a diverse ecosystem of not only mobile tech but household appliances, televisions, computers, and whatever else you can think of. A "Samsung Store" a la Apple would be packed with all kinds of products to demonstrate and could either have on hand in the store or on order in a timely manner (apply that to the appliances, mostly) for the more impatient consumers among us. I'm not a total Samsung fanboy by any means and I have plenty of issues with their mobile tech specifically but they still remain the best alternative to iOS/iPadOS/macOS on the market.
I recently decided that I needed to replace my S6+ as the phone no longer suits my needs and I've been contemplating between Samsung's flagships and the Apple Minis. As much as I love the video quality and overall aesthetic of apple, I'm not interested in paying for ringtones and other services (plus my friends who own the iphone are always complaining about the state their phone is in, poor battery life, constantly replacing charging cables, the lack of features on their phone when compared to Androids), I'm definitely staying with Samsung and getting the S23 maybe one day i'll switch as I do have 2 phones but not at this time.
What makes Apple so compelling is that they make solid products across several categories (e.g. smartphones, tablets, watches, laptops, etc.). On their own they may not be head and shoulders above the competition, but having multiple Apple devices that work so well together is something no one else has been able to replicate as well as Apple.
Latest Galaxy Tabs are basically the same as the latest ipads at half the price. Galaxy watch is just as good as the apple watch at again a cheaper price, Galaxy S23 outperforms the latest iPhone in almost any way. Don't know what you're talking about bud. And it's not just Samsung, xiaomi has similar offers
@@EinfachFredhaftGaming Apple managed to pull it off a decade ago. They were ahead of the curve in multi app integration, was easy to upgrade your phone whereas androids were a pain. I've had both platforms, currently have an iPhone. Honestly, most of the people I know and want/need to communicate with have iPhones so it's just easier. At the end of the day I don't really see why it's so important, both platforms work great.
This sometimes makes me want to have a iPhone. Lots of iPhone users act like they can only communicate with an iPhone user, and anything else is just bad.
I have an s22 ultra because I don't really socialise online and more use it for entertainment purposes so its big screen and dot selfie camera make it so much better for me. Also the edges are comfortable to hold.

You are actually describing indirect network effects and not just network effects - but one of the best videos I've seen regarding this phenomenon and actually based on science 👍
You forgot the toxic effect. I found more and more communities not accepting non-iPhone users, and many people fall for it, for recognition or something, as some people lack self confidence and will only be confident inside a community. This is valid at least in Indonesia.
Mostly its for photos and videos.. All apple user highly like Airdrop to share the photos and videos without losing any quality with almost instant speed.. thats convinient.. that makes them wont like to use android's camera to shoot anything..
In Indonesia (or at least my area), having an iPhone basically increases your status. No idea why, but I'm sure it's because iPhones are expensive and look nice, which gives them overvalue from the customers.
Just when I was about to buy an iPhone Tim Cook said that the price increase of the iPhones isn't a problem at all and people will be ready to pay even more than now for their products. Apple couldn't care less that they won't gain an extra client anyway but after these words I'm convinced I won't become one
You know every company believes that same thing, right? It’s not like Samsung, Google, et al. are out there trying to save their customers money. By all means buy what you personally want, but one way or another we’re all paying a lot for any phone we buy.

What difference does it make? An android phone that is at the "same level" (I am putting it under quote marks because I've yet to see a an android phone that matches the apple quality) is usually the same price or more expensive than an iPhone. So, if I want a quality product, why would I buy a more expensive android?
Actually samsung is also growing very well their s23 series did better han the previous generations . The main thing apple has is the feature restriction which create the walls in the walled garden and the status symbol which arun mentioned .
I had an iPhone 3 for few years, then a Samsung note 4 for 10years! In 2023 I went back to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and I will NEVER GO BACK! It’s just the ease of use and Siri that makes it so easy to use.
Huawei needs to have a comeback. I remember being so excited for them because of how innovative and great they were and finally wanted to switch but then they were hit by the US ban… 🤷♂️
It's funny because all the reasons you mentioned is why I left apple pretty early on lol had an iPhone4 as my first phone but then went to android right after and never looked back.
@@fabianz6258 i got rid of iphone tbh because of the status... ive always had a Iphone most my life but the last year i kindof been doing really good in life so i noticed more ppl started to treat me differently. as someone who recently switched to iphone it's actually somewhat relieving to know that there isn't another option that was better, when i bought my phone, and i know that it's going to keep working for years, and continue getting basically every feature for the next several years.
The app store and lack of modifying are the reasons I won't go apple. I've spent to much time on android that I don't want to loose all purchases, side loading and customizing my layout to go for apple. Love the build quality and that the product works extremely well, and I was almost tempted with the 14 pro max, but leant towards a fold 4 instead.
@@superskunknlit's not about being restrictive, although it technically is. It's about convenience. A good comparison is the watch market. Rolex, omega, AP, etc are all objectively more well crafted and personal. High end furniture is well built and has more longevity. So why don't ppl buy them aside from cost?? Bc they like low quality? No. It's bc the alternatives are convenient. Cheap furniture is easy to construct. Digital and smart watches don't require winding. And apple doesn't require any customization. Consumer don't want quality, they want convenience. The average consumer has no desire to tweak any out of box features, but I realize those commenting on vids like this are those who prefer to tweak.
This goes both ways. Anyone on Apple doesn't want to lose all their stuff. I mean I've had Itune/Apple music since it launched, I have over 3000 songs on my phone, not to mention all my other apps and games. Plus majority of my accessories and other tech items are for Apple too. For me to buy a different phone i'd have to change more then just a phone if I wanted maximum accessibility and customisation. Also Apple isn't that restrictive, you can do all the basic stuff and more. Android just let you run wild which sometimes isn't good and majority of the time isn't even needed considering what 90% of people use their phones for.

Man, I don't know about the whole "works together seamlessly" thing. I'm a developer who prefers Windows/Android, but I have a Mac/iPad/iPhone setup for MacOS and iOS development and testing. Just yesterday, my Apple account got locked and I went on a wild goose chase across all three devices confirming codes and resetting my password on an endless loop until magically after 20 minutes, it just worked as intended all of the sudden. I love Apple's build quality... The devices just FEEL good, and they look great. But there is so much about MacOS that just feels bad to use (managing fullscreen apps and snapping on multiple monitors... Ugh!) that I don't think I would ever buy into an iPhone, even if they are generally pretty great (minus the dynamic pill cutout). I mean, what's the point when I can get an equally-good Android phone that doesn't all but require buying into a whole ecosystem?
Not to say Apple is the best, but I have invested a lot into the apple ecosystem having most of their devices. I feel similar about windows where managing it just feels weird. I think it is based on what you are used to and grow up with.
@@areebahmed.s Haha. I hate windows, so I got an m1 mac. I feel like it is really a product from apple, that's worth it. I don't own an iphone for a couple of things: It basically would cost more to get one that has 120hz, and I really like the UI of xiaomi with it's features. Also, my phone was 300 euros, while having an amazing 120hz screen, which strangely feels smoother than even the latest 120hz from apple. So yeah, that's where I'm at.
Ok, so writing your alleged personal experience is supposed to cancel the general consensus that Apple products do indeed work better together? The fact that Apple creates the hardware but must importantly macOS and iOS that have the same code base, use the same protocols, it makes it all together the definition of integration. Besides, I use Windows/Android for work and my everyday work consists of miserable moments of hiccups and bugs that either delay my work or even halts it sometimes for hours. I also hate whenever my Android has to communicate with Windows because of how limited and old school everything is done. On the other hand, it's like a breath of fresh when I get home and I just airdrop stuff from my iPhone to my Mac or I start writing something and I just can continue it on my Mac without having to transfer or connect anything. Now THAT is seamless and exactly what all other platforms lack, no matter how much you play it down with you 'personal experience'.
I have a Samsung s21 ultra that meets all of my needs and more, probably too well because I'm spending way more time than I should on the phone. Actually considering downgrading to my old phone from 5 years ago.
For me it’s also I prefer updates and knowing my money is still good. I use to always say about why Android is better, but tbh now I want stability. And honestly I like the design of Apple more, and Android phones cost more than the most expensive iPhone. Also it’s pretty nice knowing I can have this phone for the next 5 years if I wanted to and not worry about updates. Or how it has great value, so when I trade it in. The new iPhone gets half off.
The last point was brilliant. I am from Germany but still I used HUAWEI phones before I switched to the iPhone 13. I switched because my old HUAWEI P20 Pro was slowly dying and it was getting more difficult to own a HUAWEI. I was a but HUAWEI fan but still it wasn’t a safe option anymore, so I was also curious in trying an iPhone and that was the perfect time for me. After all my favorite Android brand just went missing. And I never regretted it. I really fell in love with iOS and currently I can’t imagine switching back to Android. I already got sucked into the ecosystem and it’s brilliant. Before I always feared that I wouldn’t like the Apple ecosystem but that’s bs. It’s just so brilliant. I fell in love with this brand

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with a flagship phone nowadays which is where the talk all is. The thing is, iPhone is just a status. Everyone follows the crowd. The vast majority of the people I know have an iPhone and its just boring. When I see someone with an Android, it instantly makes me smile because it shows they don't just follow the crowd. As a young person in the UK, everyone just has an iPhone. That's why I use Android, I like to be unique!
The biggest thing I hate about the apple brand is how restricted it is. I'm an electronics engineer/programmer and is way more difficult (and expensive) to make custom apps for it.
I make apps for both platforms, and yes, developing for iOS is a pain, but each time the iOS version has made me 5x more money (apple users are more active and can afford to buy apps in larger numbers, and customers who ask you for iOS apps pay much more than they would for an android app).
marketing and vertical integration are so important. Theres a reason samsung will never overtake apple with how they do technology. Most companies don't seem to advertise their devices to consumers. When they announce a new device or have a livestreamed/recorded event they are practically reading a spec sheet the whole time, which the majority of consumers (especially older people) do not care about. Apple advertises their products by glossing over specifications but mostly showcasing tv-show style "Everyday life" usages. and don't even forget about having an actual store, the samsung store, oppo store, xiami store, Motorola store, etc. They do not exist, and if they do, its a tiny handful of locations near their headquarters. But the apple store is in pretty much every major mall/fashion district area where people are likely to spend a lot of money, and sometimes even simply being placed in the middle of a population dense city or capital. When you have companies like Samsung that copy all the bad things that apple does (removes charger, removes headphone jack, inflated prices, removes microSD card) but without any of the vertical integration benefits (creates own operating system and creates entirety of hardware for operating system). And having no physical store, it is pretty clear why apple is where they are, and this is coming from someone whom despises all of these shitty corporatist practices.
I think it also has more to do with social media. Alot more people are using their phones almost exclusively for social media and the experience on iPhone is so much more cohesive and smoother. At this point android only has customisation and versatility going for it, but bearly.
Snapchat made me look like I was using a filter on my $700 Android. You can get a terrible iPhone SE and the Snapchat selfies look miles more realistic
It's a shame Huawei can't compete anymore. Their phones were always incredible, and a breath of fresh air from Samsung's phones. However I do think there is one company who will be as big as Huawei was. And that is Xiaomi.
i think vivo can be big in next year but again. there is USA waiting to sanction them and lock GOOGLE for that brand just like they did with huawei. there is a reason USA did that as fast as they could. huawei was outselling iphones globally and only USA was stubborn to stay with apple (but i think canada was also buying huaweis). i have p40 pro and it still amazing. i am still proud of buying that phone tbh. appgallery is getting updated with apps and banking app is already there which is the most importants so im set up with that phone for next 2 years and then im buying flip Z or SONY.
Some of the video that talked about features coming to Android first, illustrated this with a Windowsphone. The good news is this still works. Windowsphone had usb c way before the iPhone. 😊

The statement about Indonesia is so true, in 2014, only 2 out of 100+ employees have an iphone, me and my colleague. In 2023, almost half of it have iphone..I’m not sure what’s the main cause, was it a growth of economy or because there are more affordable ex-international secondhand iphones.
Came down to battery life for me. I was an Android for Life person, but had to use an iphone for a work project and ended up being shocked how long the battery lasted, and just how everything worked for me without bugs that I'd grown used to.
Even in the states, iPhone is a staus symbol. It maybe a silent status symbol at times, but it’s just a better and smarter look. Apple screams quality, it’s just a thing. Even if you don’t have the pro triple camera setup, you’re double cam setup is still seen as boujee. Everyone has one, yet they’re still exclusive. Kinda like BMW..
My first smartphone was a Nokia Windows phone. When I found out they were going to stop making them I looked Apple and Android. I asked users what was it they didn't like about using their phones and decided on Android.
I switched to Android after prly 10 years with Iphones. First I was really anxious but after a while I got used to it. iOS and Android have very different Advantages and people have to decide for themselves which they prefer. I really enjoy both
Very good. The only association I have with Apple is the shares I have. I don't use their products and there's a very insecure and "follower" mentality with people that do. It's like a cult of conformers. I am independent by nature and it shows even in my selection of phones that I have.

I love your videos cause you switch so much from one thing to the next, clips cut fast, fast talking, i pick up on everything! Love it, keep it up
Okay bizarrely enough this resonates with me. I am diagnosed with ADHD and switched to an apple phone 2 years ago. It made my life a heaven because I am no more distracted by the shiny new apps and customization, I can finally only use my phone as a phone and I'm so grateful. Also I have an iPad and Mac and as someone with ADHD, it's so easy to sync everything, therefore it doesn't take a lot of performance energy from my brain
Airtags are great. When I travel abroad, it has helped me locate my luggage and when I'm in the states it has helped me locate my bike after someone stole it. Tile, from the last I remember, requires other tile users to have the app for better locating. The continuity mode of iOS is great. Most of what it does can be done on Android though. I just wish iOS had better multitasking.
I hate this world.. Airtags, airpods, continuity mode? Technologies are suppose to make our life easier, not adding bunch of useless garbage. What's wrong with you, you can't find your luggage in airport without some fancy piece of garbage? The continuity mode? I don't know what's that and I'm sure I will never need this in my life.

Ok I never really thought about Huawei that way but it's completely true, a few year back when I still had a 6S I seriously considered buying a Huawei phone just because there were SO much more features there (and it was a couple hundred euros cheaper as well). But it all went sideways because of the ban and never gave it a second thought. Great video!
Huawei is a good brand, I have owned the Mate 7 in the past and now the Mate 10 Pro going on 5 years now, still snappy and packed with features, 70% of which I don't even use. The ban really screwed them over. I think my next phone will be an iPhone 14, it will be my third after 6 and 7.
Even cheaper low end Huawei models were running so good. After Huawei P8 lite and Mate 10 lite I went to Samsung S20 and last year to S22 - result Samsung are rubbish and my next phone will be from Apple... Just to mention that S20 and S22 are EU versions with rubbish Exynos chip.
Honestly, making the Airtag relay system opt-out instead of opt-in is one of those things which really make sense from a platform perspective but also really shows how you don't really have full control of your device. With Android, you have the choice to go full Google Services, full another companies services, or full Open Source, and anything in between. With Apple, there's Apple, anything else is just a glued on.
Wow, you hit the nail on the head. I am a Huawei user and my P30 Pro is closing the end of it's life and i can't do something cause Huawei customer care is almost non existent. The closest thing to Huawei experience is moving to iOS , i'll wait for the iphone 15. The point is that there is nothing on the market for a user like me.
I’m on a Huawei P30 pro and waiting for USB-C iPhone 15 as well. The sad thing is only us will remember how great they were. No other android phone have convinced me to switch in the last 4 years.
I replaced my p30 pro with the iphone 14 pro max in september edit: i think its better to wait for the 15. the 14 pro max doesnt really feel like an update compared to the p30 pro. It actually lacks some feature the p30 pro had (camera felt better, finger print scanner if face isnt recognized, tv infrared sensor, reverse wireless charging)
I miss my P30 Pro so much, if it has android 13 support I'd definitely still be using it. Switched to an S22 Ultra bc it was on sale and somehow in almost all the aspects that matter to me (battery, camera zoom, sturdiness, nfc reliability) it feel worse compared to my years old huawei. wish the phones werent so inaccessible to westerners nowadays 😭
I’ve used both Samsung S23 Ultra and now an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and in a nutshell…Android is a flee market chaotic experience AND iPhone is an organized museum experience. Plain & Simple!
One major point in the area of stability is software support. Android manufacturers are starting to promise 5 years. Apple has provided 7+ years for ages. This means the price retains much more (because the device remains usable) or, if you don‘t want to swap every other year, an iPhone can cost almost 30% more and still be price neutral.

Google needs more top-down experience design. Android has always been derived from Google’s “mined data guides iterative design through Key Performance Indicators” philosophy. This results in too many cooks in the kitchen and jello vision on details that matter.

Google has really messed up their spot in terms of the mobile phone market. Apple is diving in cash right now because of their popularity.

@@srikarvundavalli5934 That's a generous proposal, except how tedious it is for apple users who can just airdrop photos without the lost of quality.

The way some apple users are so extreme about the brand can be ridiculous

I don't mind paying the extra money for RUclips premium. Instead of using a random apk and get my bank details stolen
These apks you speak of only slows down the phone. Having been an android developer, i know how unreliable and unsafe they are
@@mayavi93 weird because I've never had any such issues.
Paying a premium for a brand name is lame.
i live in iran, a 1000$ iPhone is equivalent of an annual salary of someone with average payment here, but still the amount of effort people put in buying an iPhone just to take a selfie in front of a mirror with their iPhone is frankly disturbing, it has become a very luxury status symbol here and its disgusting

Yep, both have their pros and cons. While Samsung provides more features, Apple provides longevity.

Apple is so restrictive and controlling on every aspect of their phones, it just makes sense to use the more flexible Android.
apple sucks and iphone is overrated

I can't speak to other manufacturers, but when I switched from an iPhone to my current phone fairly recently, Samsung's switching software managed to clean basically all the data off of my iPhone. It even went so far to let you automatically download the Android versions of the apps you had on your iPhone. (If it doesn't exist, it will recommend similar apps)
It worked really well, and I highly recommend it if you ever do choose to make the jump.

Especially because you can always buy an old model for cheap and it will still work and get updates for a few years

This is true when it comes to the U.S. Google and Samsung need to build more stores here.
In a nutshell, Apple controls the psychology of their customers instead of investing in innovation.
Apple cares about the experience user
They have perfected marketing to 10000%. That being said, people need to start choosing competitors or else the market will get stale. I hope there is a big breakthrough so this stagnation can be done. I'm tired of Apple slowing down innovation. There is definitely an untapped market of people waiting for the next big thing but I feel like it has to be like a new company with the marketing of Apple while having crazy good innovation and that is unfortunately the hardest thing to do. Not to mention building a whole ecosystem like Apple does around that phone.

People that want to do this are a small minority. Most people just want a phone that does what phones do very well. Apple has mastered how to cater to the latter very well, and it's clearly a winning formula.

LG took risk and no bought them. R&D vs marketing.

I just need it to work, and get out of my way.
я бы сказал, на своём опыте, используют FaceTime и iMessage, но не супер много
Im not sure if you watched the video or not but Android phone makers dont take big risks anymore because the nature flow of the market limits it to a small userbase and not to people who are already comfortable with what they have

What makes Apple so compelling is that they make solid products across several categories (e.g. smartphones, tablets, watches, laptops, etc.). as someone who recently switched to iphone it's actually somewhat relieving to know that there isn't another option that was better, when i bought my phone, and i know that it's going to keep working for years, and continue getting basically every feature for the next several years.
Exactly this! Apple users love to be restricted it seems.

Even though I am an iphone user I never really understood macOS. Its so confusing and hard too use after using windows for like forever
I wouldn't say apple's triple oven top cameras look very good. Nor does the notch/static part of the "dynamic island" .
I have a Samsung s21 ultra that meets all of my needs and more, probably too well because I'm spending way more time than I should on the phone. Actually considering downgrading to my old phone from 5 years ago.
You should turn off notifications for social media apps and set the screen to grayscale, this would reduce the time you spend really well
If you consider selling it hit me up

Huawei was screwed over by Apple indirectly via the US government.
Honestly, making the Airtag relay system opt-out instead of opt-in is one of those things which really make sense from a platform perspective but also really shows how you don't really have full control of your device.

7+ seems like a stretch, it was a record set by the iPhone 5S
It's typically 6 years (security updates included) which is wild
