Hello, Mark Rober. I am an engineer and computer scientist and I have been working with the US Government to develop these very defenses. I run a company which is developing a new version of the MQ-9 Reaper drone to combat mass drone attacks. I was understandably very surprised when I saw this video pop up and I am glad that the public is finally seeing the risk of these drones.
I totally agree, but I think part of the problem was also lack of ability. I do think that there was a period where the public lacked awareness of the dangers of drones, but I also think there was debatably a period where the public began catching on but didn't have the ability to do anything about it yet. Thankfully, it seems that period is coming to its end as well.
