Hope y'all like this new format! And remember to shop for your tackle, no matter the brand, by entering Tackle Warehouse through the links here in my video description!
I actually really enjoy this format. Would also love to see some uncut style similar to this. I know that’s a lot of extra work, but I think it would help nail the little bits of tips you throw into the uncuts. Might defeat the purpose of the uncut but I’m here for it 🫡
I definitely dig the new format. Though I don't have any issue with how you had been doing your videos. Bottom line I watch this channel for 2 reasons, 1) To learn; whether it be tips, tricks, techniques, lures, biology, or whatever and 2)To get my fishing fix on the days I'm landlocked and chained to my office or shop. As long as you keep those boxes checked, we will keep on rockin!
Yes sir, yes sir thank you Tyler for sharing this day on the river. I was gripping my fingers and toes with some of those catches you had goodness the struggle is real!! Amazing video content loved the in the studio and then the live action format done brilliantly! Tight lines take care and can’t wait for your next adventure really love these river adventures gets my blood pumped God bless!
Nice video format, great action, but tons of great info! I replayed that small mouth catch (when your trolling motor turned on) like 5 times LOL! Epic stuff Tyler! May GOD continue to bless you and the TRF movement!
@@TylersReelFishing Oh ya! Thanks to your inspiration, I went out and got a plopper which I tried out this morning and caught 2 nice ones in twenty minutes! Thanks as always.
😁 Just got my first plopper style catch using a black choppo.. the bite was violent and strong even for a 1 pounder. Might be my new favorite, replacing the chatterbait.
I wasn't the biggest fan of top water until you gave us the perfect description on how to utilize it and how you'll get bigger bites..!! Tyler the G.O.A.T
I agree with this…I’ve actually had a chance to fish top water for the first time a couple weeks back at my work’s pond and I’ve had the best luck with these!
I picked up a River2Sea Whopper Plopper 90 (color: I know it) and went to my local canal and noticed a large pickerel sitting in the water just in front of me, so I tossed the W/P to the other side of the canal hoping not to spook it so I could draw it back in front of it and I didn't get 10 to 15 reels in and a "12 largemouth just blew it up, that was awesome for my first time fishing that lure. I later that day did get about a "15 pickerel.... I just love this lure!
Dig you and your channel.. Lone Star boy! West Texas here. 25 min from Padgitt park on Ivie.. everyone like to go to Elm Creek cause its trendy which leave the entire park and ramp, coves and all to myself… caught a 5.11 on a spooke sat at 10:30 am.
I like that you included mistakes and misses. It happens, and too many of your cohorts cut that out. You're real. That's important. It's entertaining, too! But yeah, that's why I don't like kayak fishing...
Sadly it’s getting to cold for my waters I might try one of my other spots that I like but I’m definitely looking forward to using the plopper come spring time 👍🏽
I just started fishing and have been going nearly every day. I have this small pond near me that is suuuuuper shallow for a good ways, then when it finally opens up, it's pretty grassy. It has given me an unfair expectation of top water.
Honestly I like a buzz bait a lot more than a plopper. I guess I’ve just had more success, to me I don’t need to pause, buzz bait can go faster and it comes through cover better. I also believe buzz bait is louder and can draw bass in dirtier or windy conditions.
In my area, I believe fish have become massively conditioned to the plopper. Everyone and their dog throws them constantly. I choose the buzzer for this reason.
Heeeyyyyy i see Cass County on that map! i know exactly what section of the Miss. that is. My grandmother lived on a farm near Brainerd during the Depression. i lived in Bemidji for awhile. super cool.
I actually live in Round Rock and I fish brush creek lake in cedar park. You can fish the bank, but the best way to fish it is in a small kayak or John boat. There is always giant fish chasing shad and jumping after other things. The big bass hang out on the edge of the creek channel in the middle.
You’re not wrong, but certain terms in commerce become so popular that everything else similar is referred to by that name. Think kleenex, jet ski, crock-pot, band-aid, and yes, fishing terms apply here too: Chatterbait, fluke, spook, and as in today’s video, plopper
1000% plopper, 360GT Swimbait (atleast the rattle head) and a Ned has been killer lately. The plopper however, catches small mouth, large mouth, and pike for me
Also I don’t use a net anymore in my kayak. I boat flip everything. Pike? Boat flip. Smallie? Boat flip. Gator? Boat flippin that MF. Maybe not the last one. But I lost so many fish while getting the net, while moving my paddle. While moving rods. Not no more. Haven’t lost one since. I also changed my hooks to a sharper hook cause I was using cheap ones.
You probably should be careful calling those knockoffs Whopper Ploppers. The name is trademarked, so you probably should refer to those baits something else.

Just ordered the Mach patroller off your link! Thanks for the great video!
Are you swapping the stock treble hooks? Sounds like it from the video but not sure what size is recommended.

I love all your videos and I'm a believer as well! This has nothing to do with fishing but hair on the face looks good on you (manning up, lol).

so cool to see the topography of the river man i really appreciate you going into detail about these things

From trainwreck to triumph. This video had everything. Thanks Tyler. Keep up the good work.
Loved the new format! Great breakdown back at the desk. Fantastic catch on that huge small mouth! That´s gotta be a memory you keep.
Yes it was! Thanks for watching Steve

Love this video, and the format. Just bought two Patrolers from your link... you have me excited about fishing again.
Awesome! I love to hear that
This video was a banger, Tyler! More just like this, please!
I enjoyed the new format. Keep them coming!!!
Thanks! Will do!
Great video Tyler. I loved that firedrill you had with the big smallie.
Crazy moment there lol
Great videos and super informative. New to bass and just fresh water fishing in general. Keep them coming
I love the action and success when using a flopped popper... great fun!
😁 Just got my first plopper style catch using a black choppo.. the bite was violent and strong even for a 1 pounder. Might be my new favorite, replacing the chatterbait.
I got a couple of those Mach Plopper lures thanks to your video, looking forward to trying them out!
Have fun!
Very entertaining and educational video, Tyler. You need to do more videos on that river!
Great content as always! Really enjoyed this format.
Obviously a choppo style bait should be in every bass anglers arsenal. Great video tyler
Tyler is great! i feel like he is my fishing coach ngl😂
Really like the new format information and action
Love this format!
Great video. Hard to beat some good plopper action!
You caught more on this river than I have in the past two weeks. In 1 go at that! That is amazing, I would love some tips from you!
Every video I give tips! If you want something specific covered, just comment what it is
Love the lecture format
It's the Berkley choppo for me. 💯

Thanks Tyler for this great video of the plopper. I will use your link for TW 👍🏻

My favorite lure and first top water bite
Just caught my PB this morning on the Mach patroller!! And on the Mach 2 combo! All from your videos thank you!
That is awesome!
We need another 10 days for a 10 series Tyler!!!!!!🎣🎣🎣

One of my favorite topwaters

Dude, this lure is my absolute confidence! I've caught 7 pounds largies and 48 inch muskies on a 110 bluegill pattern
I used a whopper plopper on the Mississippi about 2 weeks ago; and the smallies where crushing it! By far my favorite lure.
Honestly I like a buzz bait a lot more than a plopper. I guess I’ve just had more success, to me I don’t need to pause, buzz bait can go faster and it comes through cover better. I also believe buzz bait is louder and can draw bass in dirtier or windy conditions.

@@dannyvowell7703I feel the same way, I throw the plopper sometimes but fish a fluke on top, riser and a walking bait produce more some days.
im new to fishing i love this video format. and would like more like this
You got it!
Heeeyyyyy i see Cass County on that map! i know exactly what section of the Miss. that is. My grandmother lived on a farm near Brainerd during the Depression. i lived in Bemidji for awhile. super cool.
Whopper Plopper has been for several yrs my go to top water lure. Always always go out with one tied and ready to go
Have you done a breakdown on kayaks yet? I would love to see which ones you have 🙌
Yep! Just look on my channel for the thumbnails and titles about kayak builds
I live near Austin and fish almost every weekend. I always start with top water
Where do you fish? I live in Georgetown been hitting up the lake right there.
I actually live in Round Rock and I fish brush creek lake in cedar park. You can fish the bank, but the best way to fish it is in a small kayak or John boat. There is always giant fish chasing shad and jumping after other things. The big bass hang out on the edge of the creek channel in the middle.

*catches fish*
“If you didnt like that, you wont like this channel!”
Lmfao you crack me up dude 😂 nice fishing
Hey Tyler how wide is that kayak paddle u were using?
Great video and information thank you
What a fun bite! Nothing like it.
Caught 4 bass in a 10 minute timespan on a plopper today
Edit: went out next day and caught 3 more on it
Choppy water/windy weather = whopper plopper
calm water/no wind = buzzbait
Man, it’s almost opposite for me 😂
Very good video, will be using my whopper popper tomorrow all day 😂
Good luck!
What is the best way to find places to fish? I see that you fish a lot of ponds and reservoirs. How should i go about getting permission?
What fish scale do you use?
Using a plopper up here in Canada! 😊😊😊😊
Anyone know the name of the river
I have never caught one on a whopper plopper I hate it . Idk how you do it … and I always follow all your tips
Caught my pb on it last year!
Not to be that guy, but the whopper plopper is the top water propeller made by River2sea, as you said in the video that is the Mach Patroller.
You’re not wrong, but certain terms in commerce become so popular that everything else similar is referred to by that name. Think kleenex, jet ski, crock-pot, band-aid, and yes, fishing terms apply here too:
Chatterbait, fluke, spook, and as in today’s video, plopper
Smallies on top💪
Can you put a link to the hooks you use for whopper ploppers?
Ooo good catch. They are down in the video description now
What type of kayak
1000% plopper, 360GT Swimbait (atleast the rattle head) and a Ned has been killer lately.
The plopper however, catches small mouth, large mouth, and pike for me
up in the adirondacks ploppers get SMASHED by pike, largies, and smallies. and its so fun to fish
Man, the waters around my have either no vegetation or very little. Still havent gotten a top water bite this year
This body of water had almost no vegetation as well. You don’t need it for top water
Your so lucky to be available to fish non gator infested waters.... I live in NOLA and if the water is wet ... there's a gator in it.
Freaky. I've been taking my 4 year old son with me on the yak since he was 1. Chasing northern small mouth. Definitely wouldn't if there were gators
🤣
Lmao " if the water is wet"
Why don't you have the paddle teathered to the kayak?
Cause I'm stoopid
Son? When did Tyler have a son? I remember the wedding, but that feels like just yesterday.😊
almost 9 months ago!

Boat flipping them isn’t good for their health. Watch my interviews with a fisheries biologist on the channel
I love sweet tea
On a 3-mile floor I can get about 15 bites off the plopper
how are there only 500 likes and 12k views WTF
Git'er Done
Why didn't you want to catch the pike that would've been a nice fight
Cause I’m a bass angler
Bruhhhh where’s 100 ponds 😭😭😭 I’m sadddd
Pond 100 coming Saturday!
@@TylersReelFishing it’s going to be JUICY
You probably should be careful calling those knockoffs Whopper Ploppers. The name is trademarked, so you probably should refer to those baits something else.
I would WELCOME a lawsuit from River2Sea over this lol
Where is 100 ponds
He said 100 is Saturday
Thanks
It’s not buzzbait is or frog
Its good but i think its to popular and overused
Tell that to the fish that smoked it in this video
