This is the first time ive seen someone do polygel on nails like mines! i have slightly slim fingers with a squoval nail shape and in all the videos ive watched at least everybody has either slim fingers with long nails or short thick fingers with extremely short nails
Just binged watched your videos and I love them all! I’ve been doing my nails with dip and polygel for almost a year now but my removal system sucks because I’m so impatient, if you have a good removal system for both please share it girl! 💕
Monica Simpson thank you so much! it really means a lot. i completely agree that the removal is horrible and takes way too long. i am working on trying to find a good removal solution and will be sure to share once i find it! 💛
you can use rubbing alcohol to dehydrate the nail as well. you don’t need a primer, i just like to use it because it makes my nails last longer. the gel base coat is used to help the gel stick to the nail as well.
Your nails are absolutely beautiful!! Wow!! I wish I had nails like yours! Lol. My nails are very short. I started biting my nails about three years ago. Now, it's a horrible habit that's very hard to break. I used to have beautiful long nails. But, not anymore. Any suggestions on how to stop biting my nails would be great. Thank you!! ❤
I also bite my nails, if you get acrylics for a while and grow them out for about a month, then you won’t be able to bite them. Haven’t tried it but I was to
If I don't prep my nails before applying the poly gel, what would happen besides the lifting? Would my nails be damaged? And to remove the polygel, should I just soak it? Thank you!
your nails wouldn’t be damaged, the main issue would just be product lifting. to remove polygel, i would recommend filing the bulk off and then soaking off the little product remaining.
hi! a normal polish base coat would not make removal easier... it most likely wouldn’t do anything. if you want easy removal, i would recommend using a peel off base coat!
katesnails I have a couple other questions, is the transparent pink a clear poly gel with a tint of pink? Also, can you not do any nail prep and apply the gel base coat on your bare, non-prepped nails? If you can, how long would it last if you only put on a gel base coat, poly gel and top coat?
@@katesnails hey again haha! i wanna buy a primer/bonder but whats the difference between acid free and acid primer? does it matter? which one should i get? oh and i wanna try out yayoges hard gel... is it possible to remove it with a hand file ? or is there any way to remove with without an efile? thank you soso much
hii i ordered polygel for my natural nails but i dont have dual forms, do you think i can still apply polygel?? i dont really want to elongate my nails only make them stronger
hii again lmao, i have a question... someone recommended the sun5 48w lamp to me from ALIEXPRESS, and in the reviews they say its "fake" does that matter at all?Its like 12 bucks... Should i buy it?? Do you have any uv led lamp recommendations that are under 30 bucks, homegirl can't afford that rn lmao. Tysm for all your help i appreciate it a lot 💗
Brandy Msp hi! i don’t think i would buy that one. i actually really like one that is pretty cheap and can be found on amazon: LED Nail Lamp MelodySusie Portable Nail Dryer Curing Lamp for Gel Polish Curing Lamp with 4 Timer Setting Ideal for Gel Nails Manicure Pedicure Eyes Protection www.amazon.com/dp/B07S9YYD5J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_b6yHDbQ2GM2GF. otherwise any lamp by makartt works great :)
@@katesnails omg finally one that does ship to europe! thank you so so much 💗 Now, i have found this "terresa 72w lamp" and now i don't know if i should get this or the one you recommended to me from melody susie. There are like 111 reviews and literally NONE or under 4 star. Sorry im asking so much... But thank you for all you help
@@brandymsp4928 no worries! i am glad to answer any questions you have. I would probably go for the melody susie one just because it is a little more popular, and i am pretty sure you can return it within a certain time period if something about it stops working. I also saw you left some other comments but for some reason it isnt letting me respond to them directly so i will answer them here: it isnt necessary to use a primer/ultrabond/etc. i just prefer it because i feel it makes my manis last longer. I already answered most of the questions on the lamp, so i think thats it! please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns :)
Does it last ? Does it lift ? That’s my biggest issue when I don’t do my nails at a salon. If someone can respond to these questions would be great. Also how do you remove it ? Pure aceton works or it needs to be filed ?
these nails lasted about 3 weeks with minor lifting! i actually showed the wear and tear in the video after that. to remove, i filed majority down and soaked off the thin layer still remaining :)
Lonna Henley if you dont have cuticle oil try applying a moisturizing lotion or castor oil, coconut oil, even olive oil just make sure you moisturize so that your skin stays healthy! but if you dont do it its not the end of the world
i got these nails to last about 2 and a half weeks with minor lifting and a little bit of growth. if you did a fill, i bet they would last close to a month with proper prep :)
Brandy Msp awesome! i love their polygel. yes, the small lamp definitely still works however i really like a bigger lamp and the nakartt one has a sensor which i also really like. it’s totally up to personal preference :)
Dry nice and the result looks very natural. How long can you keep it and how you remove it? Does it affected the health of your nails? Thank you for this video.
Daisy60128 nailista these nails will last about 3 weeks and then you can either fill them or remove them. i remove by filing off the top coat and then soaking in acetone. if removed correctly, there is no damage to the nails :)
CFlorida girl in this case, i did file them down pretty far. i use acetone and it DID penetrate through just enough to remove the remainders. you don’t necessarily have to use an efile either.
Kaylee Watson some of the kits come with a light and some don’t. it depends on which one you purchase. you can also buy a separate lamp and polygel tubes individually :)
Your natural nails are absolutely beautiful!
I just bought these set and I really appreciate this video. This will be my first time using polygel. Thank you for the video!
How do you feel about the product now?
Soo pretty. I’ve been looking for natural looking short and thinner poly gel nails at home. This is perfect for me. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
I have just ordered this kit. Can't wait to use it, thanks for the video.

Can you put gel polish on polygel and cure? Thanks for this video, I don't want my nails too long and this is perfect!
yes you can! just make sure the surface of the polygel is filed/slightly buffed so the gel polish can stick.
Would it still work okay without the gel primer and dehydration solution
yes it would still work, however it might not last as long as it would with those products.
You an use alcohol
Any substitutes for dehydration? Alcohol? And is primer needed? Is base coat like glue?
you can use rubbing alcohol to dehydrate the nail as well. you don’t need a primer, i just like to use it because it makes my nails last longer. the gel base coat is used to help the gel stick to the nail as well.
Hi which polygel would you consider to be the a dupe or same consistency as Gershion? Thanks
i would probably say the makartt poly gel!

Quick question once you use one of the forms can you reuse it or have to buy more
Prettyy Jaimee dual forms are reusable so you don’t have to buy new ones. just clean them with rubbing alcohol after use :)
I love your polygel videos they are so good and i love you
Thank you

Does this gel really damage nails? Because I like my nails and I don't want to have a damaged nails :/
Juliette Pineberg when i took this product off, i had no damage. if you remove the product correctly, there should be no problems with damage :)
