Hey Suzie, Can you make a video taking about UV LED Lamps, some people have concerns about them. I wanna learn about them so I feel better using them. Thank you. Btw, I love watching your videos, they are very helpful.
Yes please! Lamps are so important. I’m yet to find the perfect lamp that’s not too expensive and woks the best. Cheap lamps take forever to cure and oh the heat spikes kills me
@@a101-j9i yes, agree the Nail Hub is amazing and where I've been getting the majority of my gel education as a DIYer. Super informative stuff there about lamps, and Suzie here has definitely mentioned also the importance of matching brands to prevent issues. Mixing and matching isn't going to kill you, but it could lead to not the best results with the curing.
Ex tech here. The concerns ppl have is because of the UV. But the amount of UV you are getting is incredibly minimal. You get way more UV exposure from walking to your car. I'd tell clients that they are welcome to put sunscreen on prior if that makes them feel better but even if you got your nails done weekly for your entire life you wouldn't have the same amount of exposure as walking to a mailbox and back. This is also the beauty of LED light though which do not have any UV exposure and they cure faster. Most nail techs use led nowadays or hybrid lamps. So an even more miniscule amount. There have been many research investigations as well into this if you do a small Google search.
Tip::: if u can’t find alcohol you can also use acetone and a slip or you can use the base gel! The slip solution that comes in the kit is made up of acetone and alcohol mixed!
I just did my 1st set of poly gel nails the other day. Thanks to one of your videos I decided to try paper forms. It took me like 6 hrs to do them but they came out so good! Thanks for all of your videos, I enjoy them all.
I’ve always loved your videos because you always use what the product come with in its own packaging. And you really do step by step. I can watch you while I’m doing my own nails. And your so warm and cozy almost like my own family.
Please accept my profound thanks for making this video. So many impoetant things they don't tell you in the instructions! It makes TOTAL sense to wait, and the gel in turn sets in the form a little before putting it on the nail bed. THANKYOU!
I haven't done my nails since my wedding day. Watching you is not only relaxing but educational. This video gave me the push to try polygel for the first time. You made it seem so flawless and easy i just had to try for myself. I am so pleased with the results! This was fun! Makes me feel so beautiful 😍. Thank you for your tips and tricks!

I've done sculptured acrylic nails for years and want to try poly gel. I feel very confident after watching you. Thanks baby girl!
Omg! About three to four years ago, I was obsessed with doing my nails and watching your videos! Just recently I've gotten back in the nail grove, and your videos bring back so many memories
Love the way you show every single step why explaining and doing it rather than fast forward or explain after the process. Also love how calm and collected u are. Thank you so much for sharing this great helpful videos. I can’t wait to try to do my own nails by following every single step u do :)
I feel pretty lucky I have been doing my own nails for about 3 weeks or something and I learned that you should just hold the form down but start pressing it down under the cuticle if you pushed your cuticle back you can start by putting the bottom of the form precisely where u want the nail to start at your natural nail if you hold it on while curing it after about 30 seconds you can stop holding it but cure it for 60 seconds! I hope that helped.
Ordered a polygel set weeks ago been watching thousands of tutorials while waiting for it now its here and I don't know where to start...just found your video and it's been the best help thank you so much
Suzie I did nails for years and loved it. I now have RA and can not do like i did. The tips and help you have given to me has me doing mine again. Thank you so very much. You have given your talent to us from your heart and all I can do is say thank you.
Susie, your shaping technique is beautiful and very recognizable! I swear I could identify your work on anyone. Signature work is an amazing accomplishment and rare.
Have you tried using a “paper form” like you did BUT instead of adding another ball of polygel on top, do a blob of gel in a poly poppit and apply that ontop then cure it again. You get smooth blend under neath from the “paper form” plus smooth top from using poppit. Just file your edges and tips....try it. Xxxxx
Bro just tried this after reading your comment. GAME CHANGER!!! Holy shit I just did one nail in like less than 5 minutes. Apex is perfect and all. Thank you!
Half a year ago I saw this video and decided to buy this kit. I was hesitant to do my own nails, since I do a lot with my hands work wise and as a occupational hazard I was always breaking nails I got done at salons. Not mutch to do with the nail technician, my friends who go to the same lady have no problems. Haha it's me 😂 anyway! now I'm going crazy with my nails! I do a lot of work with my hands so I need to be able to remove or make my nails shorter, or fix them anytime. Thanks to your tutorials I can do so, and most importantly I can do so safely! thanks Suzie!
Hi, Suzie! I just love the way you explain things, you make it very easy to understand, plus I just love your cheerfulness which makes your video so much fun to look at! Also, as I am visually impaired, my husband has volunteered to do my nails! Yes, girls, my husband! So, I was looking for a very good and easy explanation to show this layman how to go about doint it and I found you. So, thank you very much and keep up the good work and keep that joyful/playful humour of yours!
That was truly impressive. There is a reason nail techs get paid to do your nails. It takes some serious skill. I can’t image doing my right hand with my left hand. I am right handed! SKILLS!!!!
Received my first kit in the mail around 8pm ... now it is close to midnight and I just watched this video... and I am so excited about it that I could jump out of bed and go try this on right now 🤭 Thank you suzie for this amazing video 💕
This is the best hybrid gel video I've seen. I wish i would have known it existed back when I first started using it. The one thing i had problems with was knowing how thick to make it on the pop it form. I also have always had it squish out. I must have pushed it on too hard. I'll watch it again when i decide to go back to using this product. Thanks.
I am a complete newbie to polygel, dual forms, paper forms. I watched hours of polygel nail videos before deciding to buy my kit (different brand). I haven't done my nails in years and that last time I did was dip powder. I love the polygel! I did a french mani. I love how it turned out with the paper forms. I did the 90s Squoval. The paper form hand looks just like the Acrylic french mani I was inlove with back then. The dual form.... not so much and have already had to buy an efile and removed so much product and will be starting over soon on that hand. 0 regrets 😊
Susie, It looked as though the Poppit was a bit too square at the cuticle for your nail. Can't you just file the sq corners a bit, 'til they are the shape of your cuticles, therefore eliminating the little ridge at the cuticle? 💅
I've never been more enamored with a busty middle aged woman in a cardigan with an endless supply of reading glasses chucking plastic package innards over her shoulder. You're spectacular!! Thank you so much for your patience, your willingness to share your knowledge and for reviewing items for all budgets. I hope RUclips pays you enough so you can enjoy your life and keep your glasses supply stocked. I'll be buying your products. PS-love the fairy lights. Thanks again!
You described her as " A busty middle aged woman" If I were her and I read that description..no.matter how accurate it might be, I would be a little insulted. Perhaps you could rather have described her as a voluptuous, wise woman with a flair for the ironically dramatic...or as a spitfire, a pistol.. ...or ??? From ready g your comment it is obvious that you DO have a gift..a talent..a way with words..You are obviously a writer...so..from one who welds the pen to another..I say..use your craft..and do better grasshopper..do better.

I just wanted you to know Suzie that I stumbled upon your channel today and it has brought me so much bittersweet joy. My mom owned and operated her own salon and specialized in acrylic application. I started doing my nails about 2 months ago, and was scared I would never be able to actually do it myself. I watched a lot of your videos, and just decided to build over my natural nail. My friends didnt even notice i did them myself!!! I thought that was a compliment! Anyway, the first fell off after 3 days. I redid it, than after 11 days everything fell off after showering... i didn't have forms so I used a sticky note with ducttape to build 2,5 cm almond nails. I switched from slip to 96% rubbing alcohol, and build 3 cm nails. I have done 3 sets as of today, and found I am already really good at it. My teachers and friends all come up to me every week to check if I have already redone them. I am even doing friends nails now for fun! Anyway, wanted to thank you for your videos about hybrid gel; they really helped me!
This was my absolute favorite. I have done the one with the plastic shape where you get a lot of rough acrylic on the bottom and that was challenging for me. The one where you use the sticker I am most excited about because I received my stickers yesterday. I hope I can use the powder acrylic with this. I use your videos to learn. I just do them for myself. Thanks for your insight, time, and for being you. Have a great one. Just subscribed. Idk what took me so long

Due to my living environment, I'll be using poly gel (hybrid gel) as an alternative. I just want to say thank you so much for making this video because it will be an amazing guide to my first experience with poly gel. :)

Suzie.. u always have great nails and vids 😉 💜🦋💜🦋💜🦋💜🦋💜
Oh and when I have used dual forms I only use em to just make a nail tip base shape .. kinda like a actual nail tip nails from the plastic nail tips.. then I cure that and will file it gently to shape and actually then build and sculpt the nail like normal. 😋 works pretty good 😁
Base gel as slip? 🤔 That's fascinating, I'm going to try that next time! It kinda makes sense, it's just something to keep the hybrid gel from sticking to the bristles. Thanks! 🌸
Gershion is amazing, and I love that new extension gel too! I do videos and use my own hand (but only my left)... the extension gel is what I keep on my right hand since getting it a few months ago.
I didn’t see anyone else mention it but sorry if I missed it and am repeating, the lip at the cuticle that annoys you can be avoided by running the gel thinner at the cuticle part of the form and using CLIPS to hold so it doesn’t slip. It s the way you move it back into place multiple times that is building the product back up at the cuticle. Once you place form and put on a nail clip (buy on Amazon) don’t move the form again, just don’t touch or manipulate anymore at all. Place it one and done. I love your videos and you are amazing! Hope this tip helps your dual for.m game. Xoxo

I recently bought a polygel kit which had the clear hard forms in there and had no idea what to do with them, so ive just been using my paper forms. Thanku for clearing up for me what they are for. Once i saw what you did i thought duh that makes sense. Lol
I know this video was posted 10 months ago but I’ve been following you since 2017. You’ve taught me everything I know about nails. I went from lumpy bumpy turtles to doing my friends nails and getting tons of compliments on my own. Now I have moved on to hybrid gel to try something new. Thank you so much for putting this content out there. I found a true passion of mine and you helped me with every step.
Made my DAY💜🤍💜🤍💜
Hey Suzie,
Can you make a video taking about UV LED Lamps, some people have concerns about them.
Suzie also made one video about this topic in the past.
@@lunaccodesign great to know, thank you so much for sharing!
Tip::: if u can’t find alcohol you can also use acetone and a slip or you can use the base gel! The slip solution that comes in the kit is made up of acetone and alcohol mixed!
Or Base gel? What do you mean?
I just did my 1st set of poly gel nails the other day. Thanks to one of your videos I decided to try paper forms. It took me like 6 hrs to do them but they came out so good! Thanks for all of your videos, I enjoy them all.
Thats FABULOUS! Good for you❤️
For me too, it takes about 6h but i think it s cause i m beginer and too perfectionist, lol i think that with some experience we ll do fast and fast
THANKYOU!
I don't know why but I chuckle every time you toss the packaging over your shoulder. 😂
You have the most calming voice. If you joined headspace insomnia would be a thing of the past.
Thank you for this amazingly educational video!
You are awesome. I loved how you showed everything! Your so pretty too. Great voice. Loved how natural they looked. You are truly blessed. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Wow her videos are so calming and she talks about even the tiniest things
WHEN SHE TOSSED THAT BOX IN THE BEGINNING I PRETTY MUCH DIEDDD... then Replayed it 🤣
Love the way you show every single step why explaining and doing it rather than fast forward or explain after the process.
Ordered a polygel set weeks ago been watching thousands of tutorials while waiting for it now its here and I don't know where to start...just found your video and it's been the best help thank you so much
Best nail education channel ever created on RUclips 😘😘😘😘
You are very perceptive lol
Suzie I did nails for years and loved it. I now have RA and can not do like i did. The tips and help you have given to me has me doing mine again. Thank you so very much. You have given your talent to us from your heart and all I can do is say thank you.
You’re so awesome for going into this kind of depth and detail! Totally feels achievable and understandable, thank you!
I never comment on youtube videos but I had to mention that this is the most calming video to me! Her voice is lovely.
Its like unintentional asmr haha She'd make a great asmr youtuber tho!
Omg Suzie thanks. you are amazing😘😘😘
And those reveal shots **chefs kiss**
Absolutely love these videos! The camera presence, the patience, support, information, everything! Your nails are absolutely beautiful, Suzie.
Full size tubes? Yes please! Can't wait to see you demo all of them (even the vampy red). 💕
Xxxxx
I tought the exact same thing🤣
That's what I plan on doing when my kit arrives.
Bro just tried this after reading your comment. GAME CHANGER!!! Holy shit I just did one nail in like less than 5 minutes. Apex is perfect and all. Thank you!
Not all heros wear capes 👏
I WAS GONNA SAY “what if u use…both” also i’m so late lmaoooo 😭💅🏻
Half a year ago I saw this video and decided to buy this kit. I was hesitant to do my own nails, since I do a lot with my hands work wise and as a occupational hazard I was always breaking nails I got done at salons. Not mutch to do with the nail technician, my friends who go to the same lady have no problems. Haha it's me 😂 anyway! now I'm going crazy with my nails! I do a lot of work with my hands so I need to be able to remove or make my nails shorter, or fix them anytime. Thanks to your tutorials I can do so, and most importantly I can do so safely! thanks Suzie!
4 minutes in n I already know this is gonna be the best polygel tutorial I've ever seen
Aly H I am binge watching all of them!! Shes the best!!!
I’m ordering a whole bunch of poly gel and materials to practice thanks for the help
Good luck 👍 are you going to use dual forms? Or tips or sticker forms
That was truly impressive. There is a reason nail techs get paid to do your nails. It takes some serious skill. I can’t image doing my right hand with my left hand. I am right handed! SKILLS!!!!
Received my first kit in the mail around 8pm ... now it is close to midnight and I just watched this video... and I am so excited about it that I could jump out of bed and go try this on right now 🤭
Thank you suzie for this amazing video 💕
This is the best hybrid gel video I've seen. I wish i would have known it existed back when I first started using it. The one thing i had problems with was knowing how thick to make it on the pop it form. I also have always had it squish out. I must have pushed it on too hard. I'll watch it again when i decide to go back to using this product. Thanks.
I just got my polygel kit and have no idea what to do. Thank god you just posted. Love you girl ❣️
RUclips has soo many great videos, her channel is 1 of the best
You should watch longhairprettynails
Have you tried it out yet?!
NovaKnowsBeauty yes. They turned out very good thanks to this video. :).
0 regrets 😊
I love using the 123 go soft gel with polygel they’re so strong and amazing! I don’t think I’ll ever go back to tips or forms with polygel
Been a while since Susie popped up on my screen always love seeing her. The first professional to teach me about nails 🥰
Susie, It looked as though the Poppit was a bit too square at the cuticle for your nail. Can't you just file the sq corners a bit, 'til they are the shape of your cuticles, therefore eliminating the little ridge at the cuticle? 💅
She did at her other nail
That sounds like a good idea
I’ve seen that done in other channels.
i’ve done that before and it works great!! especially because my cuticles are really oval-shaped, it helps to clean that area up a bit :)
You definitely can 💜
Amazing video presentation, I love how you showed off the nails with pictures at the end and explained more indepth with those photos
Perhaps you could rather have described her as a voluptuous, wise woman with a flair for the ironically dramatic...or as a spitfire, a pistol..
...or ???
From ready g your comment it is obvious that you DO have a gift..a talent..a way with words..You are obviously a writer...so..from one who welds the pen to another..I say..use your craft..and do better grasshopper..do better.
absolutely loved this video. the speed at which you explain each step was perfect and clear.
jenna would’ve loved making a video on this 🥺
Yes, that's what I think while watching a lot of Suzi's videos... :( I truly hope she's happy and gets to enjoy her life.

Love your videos!! Your personality is awesome makes them very enjoyable! Can you please do an update on how well this brand of hybrid gel works?? Thank you!
Thank you for your videos. I really appreciate your soft voice, and fully knowledgeable tutorials. All those extra tidbits of info are so important to know. I'm actually learning something. Not watching a loud, obvious advert. Thank you so much. You also have the most beautifull nails out there of all RUclips tutorials. You really understand the artistry and technical aspects and provide instruction which us practical for the beginner like myself . Thank you. I could listen to you all day
I literally searched to see if Susie had this exact video yesterday. I must be psychic

Or she is 🤔 lol

Hi! I just wstched someone on RUclips use both forms in conjunction to make the underside of the dualform really smooth. It was really cool to see since I am just an at home DIYer without a nail drill. I've jyst been watching all kinds of tutorials and had to check out your suggestions. Love your work and just ordered your forms from your shop. Have a great day and be blessed!

I keep going back to old videos and watching them over and over.

Hey Suzie,
Can you make a video taking about UV LED Lamps, some people have concerns about them. I wanna learn about them so I feel better using them. Thank you. Btw, I love watching your videos, they are very helpful.
@@audrawintheiser8628 she did do one on UV lamps. Check back in her videos.
You so good at teaching session! I love the way you speak . Polite and you completely being nice!
SUUUUUUUZIE! I'm here on time and my husband has been out for walks with me and the small dog. His ticker is no longer dicky! Thank you for always explaining things so clearly without sounding patronising. You not only inform us HOW to do something, but also WHY. xxx
I just wanted you to know Suzie that I stumbled upon your channel today and it has brought me so much bittersweet joy. My mom owned and operated her own salon and specialized in acrylic application. She passed away a few weeks ago from breast cancer and you remind me so much when she would teach me techniques and do my nails as a little girl. I can’t wait to try hybrid gel out on my own, I know mom would’ve absolutely loved the ease and user-friendliness of this stuff!
Awwwww CHEERS to your mom 🥂 cheers to my fellow nail tech - memories you will cherish ❤️❤️❤️thank you for sharing
my nail beds are so flat and wide I couldn't use the dual forms. I even tried those clips.I use paper forms now and my sculpting is getting better and betterrrr
Idk what took me so long
Not only you make my husband relax and fall asleep fast🙄you made my two year old baby girl fall asleep so peacefully 🤔 now momma can watch your videos and enjoy 😂kisses from Croatia😘
Wondering does it matter how many watts the uv light is tu cure the poly gel ??
Yes! You'd have to Google exactly, but the higher the better. I had a low watt lamp for polish that I couldn't use for polygel.
That’s why it’s better to get kits, because the lamp in there is most likely to cure the polygels on the market.
Of course if your an actual expert or know your stuff you can purchase the individual large lamps online.
Yeah definitely get the highest you can find mines not great and it takes over 2 minutes to cure ANYTHING
i think it just has to do with the strength of the light
I’ve used the dual forms to build my acrylic nails one at a time with a slow monomer then applied them. They were solid as all get out and worked great for me.
The editing in your videos is always so flawless!
I ordered a kit similar from Amazon, I tried several times and couldn’t get the results I wanted so i planned on returning it until I decided to try one more time and came across your video and they turned out perfect!! Thank you SO much. You’re a lifesaver!
Susie! I have puffy cuticles, and am having trouble keeping product from seeping! Ice never been good a polishing. Could you please do a video on how to deal with puffy cuticles??
Hello my name is Mai, this year is my first year in being a nail technician student. I'm soon about to receive my nail kit for distance learning. Due to my living environment, I'll be using poly gel (hybrid gel) as an alternative.
I just want to say thank you so much for making this video because it will be an amazing guide to my first experience with poly gel. :)
I would LOVE to see you do a tutorial with the Gelish Polygel! I am constantly getting lifting with it and cannot figure out why!
Revisit your prep. Tips:
•don’t wash your hands before you polish
•don’t just use a buffer use 180 grit
•don’t put on smooth surface
•you can use a primer to help adhesion
•don’t touch mail with yr finger
•apply thinly NOT thick
•make sure lamp is compatible with polish
💛suzie
Before I switched to gel bonded full tips, I would use the paper form and the poppit to get that super smooth top and bottom 🤤 Just apply the paper form before you use the poppit, and it doesn’t splooge under! 🤗
I’m so excited!! I really just got mine and came here to make sure I don’t mess it up lol
Your videos have been so helpful! I decided to jump in headfirst to nail art and I have no plans to look back.
I just did my first set of diy polygel nails. They aren't perfect but I'm not mad about it either!
I did mines with dual forms but I want to try with sticker forms. What did you use?
@@marianalopez3132 i did dual forms. I don't have an efile tho, so that cuticle is hard to do without one!! I cut my cuticle area a few times. Your the only in depth video I’ve seen I watched you when I started doing acrylics but I didn’t have the money nor the skill to get really into it but then I learned about polygel and how easy and goo it was I have a kit coming I can’t wait
I love ❤️ all the Gershion polygels and their new extension gel in tubes too 😍 and I never use dual forms.. I hate how they look and the messy spillage with em. I always use paper forms but not these 😋 I use rubbing alcohol for slip solution or now just started using base gel as a slip solution. It works super good and better. 😁 was shocked it works.
Suzie.. u always have great nails and vids 😉
💜🦋💜🦋💜🦋💜🦋💜
Oh and when I have used dual forms I only use em to just make a nail tip base shape .. kinda like a actual nail tip nails from the plastic nail tips.. then I cure that and will file it gently to shape and actually then build and sculpt the nail like normal. 😋 works pretty good 😁
Which sticker dual forms do you use?
Base gel as slip? 🤔 That's fascinating, I'm going to try that next time! It kinda makes sense, it's just something to keep the hybrid gel from sticking to the bristles. Thanks! 🌸
Elzanne Nel
Ya I only learned about this method from Jamie at Babygirlnails 😊
Xoxo
Omg yessss I was waiting for this one TURN IT UPP
