Whenever I soak product off with acetone at home I usually oil my cuticles and then put Vaseline on it! Then the acetone doesn’t destroy the skin around my nails.
Your nails look so nice and healthy thanks for the video!

If you ever feel inspired to, I would love to see you try a baby boomer/French fade using poly gel with dual forms. I’ve been rolling over in my mind how to achieve it. I think it can be done. May be a few trial and error moments but worth a shot. I bet you would do it best!

I have tried the ziplock method but my favorite is the nail clips with enough cotton to drench in acetone. Before doing that I apply baby oil to each nail generously Then still have to wait but the gel gets lift up faster.

-Use cuticle oil at least twice a week
-Wear something on your nails whether normal polish/gel/acrylic
-Try to minimize the time your nails are exposed to water especially warm water, use gloves if needed
I also wouldn't let them grow too long cause then they might break easier

My nail tech removes dip powder by filing off the top coat, wrapping my nails in foil, cotton and acetone for 5-10 minutes and then filing the rest off since it had time to soften. I personally find any type of soaking method with acetone super damaging to my natural nails but the technique my tech does has been great. No complaints from me!

You should look into Luminary Nail Systems products. They're like a gel builder/gel polish hybrid. I started using it a couple months ago and I'm in love. It's so easy to build up a nail and it's not a pain to remove! You can even build on top of the product when you need a fill. I've used dip powder and even acrylic but found them both semi-hard to use and such a pain to remove. Luminary has changed the whole game lol

Magic remover from Amazon works good too n it doesn't dry your fingers out like acetone does. I just started doing polygel and of course i didn't do to good on the one with the paper form so i filed it down with my crappy efile i have but i ordered a new one and once i got it down pretty good i just brushed on the magic remover and waited for about 30 mins and wiped it off and just scraped the rest. There was very little filling by hand that i needed to do. Hope this helps you. Good video by the way.

Thank you for all your videos! You’ve inspired me. I can afford to get them professionally done and I’m a perfectionist so I’m going to try doing them at home by myself!!
