Im going wait about 2 weeks before i try the unt peel off base with the makartt polygel. My nails are really in bad shape so im going to let rest before trying polygel. I always gad a problem doing polygel but you have sparked my interest in it again
It looks very lovely! I'm still quite new to polygel but I'll definitely use it to lengthen back a broken nail (to prevent chopping the others all down too) 🤭
hi kate! i’m a huge fan and i hoping your doing well! i love your content and couldn’t ask for more, but do you mind a video with tips and tricks on how to grow out nails and keep them healthy and strong?
Before doing anything wash your hands with bar soap (no hydrating or oily versions) and use a small brush to thoroughly scrub tips and underneath the nails. Then wait for a long time for nails to dry and then do the same with alcohol (70+ %). Only then proceed with manicure (pushing cuticles, removing them, dehydrator etc).
Hi! you taken a pic with the flash on with the Gershion top coat and you see tons of tiny bubbles reveal?? I have this problem and the only way I could solve it was by using a different top coat. :( just wanted to see if you might now why or how to fix it
If you're noticing bubbles only after you apply a top coat, it could be due to prep of the bottle or manufacturer's formulation.. are you shaking the bottle before applying? Try warming it (I just put it in my knee crease if I'm sitting cross-legged or between my thighs if I'm in a chair as I'm doing my nail prep and colour coats, haha) then like a soft swirl motion with the bottle instead of shaking up and down or side to side. Shaking causes air to be incorporated and that takes a while to settle and depending on formulation, may never be brought to the surface and out of the formula in time before you apply to your nails, so when you cure the top coat, it hardens and the pockets of air are more visible
How do you prep nails for polygel? Is it just dehydrator and base coat? There is so much information on the internet that I’m lost. Do I need a bond, cleanser, primer and all that? Thanks!
hi! i think the best prep includes pushing back the cuticles, buffing the nail surface, dehydrating, and then applying a gel base coat. a primer can be introduced into that routine, but is not necessary. i hope that helps!
Looks great and easy to work with! Just started doing my nails because of Covid closing the salons. Is Polygel as strong as acrylic? I have tried gel nails before but I break them.
Great look at a very practical length. The long nails look lovely but sometimes short and sweet does the trick. What's the name of the song playing in the background?
I need to ask a super basic question. Are you curing the base coat before applying the polygel, and then did you cure the polygel before applying the topcoat?
I just found your account but already made sub! I'm just getting started and you helped me a lot understanding how and what to use♡ i have 2 questions! First: Do the nails pop off easly since you used the peely base coat underneath the polygel? And secondly: what LED light do you use? Thank u so much ♡
hi! thanks so much for your support! to answer your questions, yes with the peel off base the nails will pop off easily. and the led lamp i use should be linked in my description, and if it’s not, i use the makartt 48w lamp available on amazon!
@@katesnails omg you replied so fast aahgh thank you so much ♡ oh! And if had to do a nail extention (like on the nailtips for example), I would just put the peely base on top of it right? ♡ (I'm sorry if it's a dumb question, i really just started learning hehe) and yes thank you for the lamp name as well!!
yes, you would put the peel base on top of the extension if you were doing dip or polish overtop and then wanted to take that off while keeping the extension intact. and no worries at all!
@@katesnails ahh I see! So is Dip that thing where you put your fingers in this powder and it gets hard? 😅 ♡ wow thats amazing so it even works with that! I can't believe how versitile this peel off base is!
It looks really easy and cute! I got a cheap polygel but it's fake🙄 It comes out of the packaging like a builder gel and when I put it on the nails it drips to the sides. Since you have tried acrylic do you find it's easy to start with it?
prep is really key in making the nails last, so i recommend finding a system of products that work well. it is also important to push back the cuticles and gently buff the nail surface! 🤍
@@missusorange8080 it can be both! after a day or two they can pop off on their own, otherwise if you gently pry the edges yourself they can come off that way too.
I did my first ever polygel overlay today on my natural short nails and I love it!!! Definitely sticking to polygel from now on!!🙌
What products did u use?
Yes i'd love to know too! Pleaae
Is it hard to remove. Im scared of it destroying my natural nails
@@SwtLvlyLucy169 no it’s pretty easy to remove

They really look natural !! Love it!!
So pretty!! I absolutely love the color❤️
Loved the video!! I have a polygel kit on the way and was just searching if you had a video like this the other day!

Love this looks so natural and nice
Love how they turned out ❤️
These are so pretty!! I want to start doing my own nails do you recommend getting gel, dip powder, polygel, or something else first? :)
hi! i personally think dipping is slightly easier to work with than polygel. plus i love how it is a little stronger than just gel polish! 🤍
katesnails ok tysm!!
yeah i’ve had better experience with dip since it’s so controlled
Could you maybe please show how to do a polygel infill when these grow out if possible?❤ super interested in that
hi i have already taken off these nails, but a polygel infill isn’t too difficult 🤍
hi kate! i’m a huge fan and i hoping your doing well! i love your content and couldn’t ask for more, but do you mind a video with tips and tricks on how to grow out nails and keep them healthy and strong?
hi! thanks so much! i’m definitely thinking about making a video like that in the future🤍
You kept it straight to the point, nice..
Love how perfect the shape of your nails are would you say the peel off nails would be a good choice for a child?
hi! if you only want the nails to last a day or so, i would say yes. however it would be easier for them to pick them off 🥰
Kate...your nails are beautiful! I just wished you had done all 5 nails on camera because so I couldn't have seen a detailed application.
Do you ever have trouble with the gel lifting from the tip of the nail?
hi! i’ve never really encountered this issue.

@@katesnails no problem, the name is still a big help. Thank you 😊
I always have lifting with builder gel in a bottle so what do you recommend for natural nails polygel or dip or keep trying builder gel?
my personal favorite is dip powder, however the lifting could be due to a not high quality product or improper application.
@@katesnails what kind of dip do you like
@@Nikky10000 my fav is probably sparkle and co!
I need to ask a super basic question. Are you curing the base coat before applying the polygel, and then did you cure the polygel before applying the topcoat?
correct! after each application of some gel product (base, polygel, top) you need to cure!
Do you think u can make a video on how u shape your nails? They are so pretty and it’s so hard for my to achieve this shape

Can you please advise me? Do I have to cure one nail at a time or can I apply the polygel on all nails and cure at one?
you can cure all at once, but to ensure you don’t smudge or ruin the other nails, it is beneficial to cure one at a time.
Can you use poly gel under dip powder to strengthen the natural nails? 😊
you can!

Ily❤ how did u get into nails?
i got into nails as just a hobby to keep me busy! 🤍
I did my first set a week ago and they came off😭 any tips ?
prep is really key in making the nails last, so i recommend finding a system of products that work well. it is also important to push back the cuticles and gently buff the nail surface! 🤍
Is it necessary to have an LED lamp in order to do poly gel nails?
yes-polygel will require an led or uv lamp to be able to cure and harden fully.
So you use alcohol to shape with the brush or what liquid to help the poly gel move with the brush
some kits have a specific slip solution, but rubbing alcohol works great!
@@katesnails thank u very much!
How well did the pop off removal go when using the peel base coat?
Also do you find that its easy to pop them off with only one layer of the unt peel base?
they popped off very easy! one layer works great.
@@katesnails How exactly do you pop them off? Would they pop off on their own or is it intentional?
@@missusorange8080 it can be both! after a day or two they can pop off on their own, otherwise if you gently pry the edges yourself they can come off that way too.
Do they soak off like dip? Wanting to try!
