- One of the online extras that was available with the Circuit City DVD release of the 2007 Transformers movie. This one shows various test cycles and animatics of the CGI models and sequences.

Yea i know that's how advance effort the cgi as compare to now lazy work.
The visual effects team, audio design team, composers and orchestras earned every penny of the millions this movie brought in.
Industrial Light & Magic And Skywalker Sound
After 13 long years, this movie still has some of the best CGI I have ever seen. You can tell this film took time to make and each character model got plenty of love. Nowadays, films are rushed and the visuals suffer terribly. Take me back man.
Transformers has the best cgi, nothing comes close to the detail from TF1 and TF3
I'm from the future. Transformers RoTB has some REALLY great visuals and the CGI blends in SUPER seamlessly, especially for Mirage and Prime.

13 years later i still think this movie has one of the Top 10 better CGI and that's amazing and shameful to newer movies.

Especially with how The Fallen and Devastator was used
VNY D devastator was in their for comic relief and the fallens potential was wasted ( blame bay, but I still love transformers) but the movie wasn’t bad.

They destroyed computers and wasted so much money on devastator , which is why I understand why he was in the movie for like 5 minutes total

They look more closer to G1 than the actual movie. Blackout looks more like Soundwave here, the hell?
Suren Jedi Soundwave was initially meant to appear in the first movie, but his design later became Blackout.

Because they look like absolute shit. I'll just stare at the underside of a car if I want to see some unidentifiable gears smashing into each other. Every action seen barely even looks like anything

@@somebodyelse522 yeah, but the designs look WAY TOO complex and are too over detailed that it's very difficult to draw. The bumblebee movie designs looked much simpler and practically looks more realistic there imo. Simple designs are always better.

Amazing. Just, beyond comprehension how this is how that movie all started, yet still looks so real.
People slag this movie off but I personally love it, the animation and 3D was really ground breaking back then, even using a lot of practical effects in some areas.

Transformers 1-3 is peak Hollywood blockbuster. The CG is one of the testaments to that.
Yoo we never got Barricade in the final battle, he just appeared and nothing else.
He does that every single time. He shows up for a bit and then pussies out of the final battle

Man Barricade could’ve been given more battle scenes in the movie but instead he’s only in the 1st fight where he and bumblebee tumbles around in the background doing god know what to each other and that’s it.
0:22 This cut scene is used in Transformers the game.. you can even see the red SUVs from the game there! 0:34 that is bee fighting an evil version of him.. the evil version is in the game files of transformers the game and can be fully enabled.. the evil version is cooler then normal bee..

The bay films may have their huge flaws, but they animated the transformers beautifully for sure and it definitely took a fair bit of effort to do it at the time I’m sure.

Elektro There's been many versions of transformers so the story itself is very liquid. At least the origins of the Transformers never changed.
Ian Cruz Not really, several toylines were being released even before the movie and third party makers were already making better more expensive versions of it. There were cartoons and games (But the early 3D animated ones were a bit yeah, still iconic though).
I do agree though that Michael Bay made it easier for Transformers to introduce itself to more people and connecting it with the mainstream.
Some of these were good fighting scenes...
I love this movie to death. The amount of work that went into the visual effects and camera work is remarkable. But I have one question... okay, many questions but this one in particular. Why wasn't this 1:41 in the movie!? I would've loved to see Bee and Barricade have one last fist off! 😔

Here after watching TF:One trailer and feeling shitty that the days of Transformers aiming to be visual blockbuster thrillers are over and now are just like any other average franchise
For better or for worse, I hope transformers one succeeds

Feel like I'm watching one of those early 2000 cartoons that'd you'd catch on Toonami. You know the ones, where the CGI was stiff, unorganic amd still in its early stages. Think Reboot, or Code Lyoko.
