One blooper in the video that he fails to mention is the Aurobots gathered around Optimus from the 2nd episode. Bluestreak is wearing Bumblebee's helmet...
As a kid, I found the duplicate characters to be quite reassuring. If your favourite Transformer was killed off, you could comfort yourself with the knowledge that he / she had a duplicate from a previous episode!
@@symbiote1982pk did you forget about Arcee, Elita One, chromia, and other female autobots? Cybertronians have 2 common genders, just like how humans do.
One of the most unforgivable mistakes was the ongoing size reduction of the Dinobots. In 'Desertion of the Dinobots' they are huge (and rightly so) but by Season 3 they're not much bigger than Rodimus Prime.
Carnage in C-Minor had so many mistakes along with being a really bad episode. There's a scene where the Decepticons are flying in to attack and Preceptor yells "Look out, it's the Autobots!" So forgetting what side you're on seems to be a running theme that episode.
@@robertj.3383 Is that also the same episode where ultra magnus is a giant and palm boinks two constructicons ?! LOL Like ... where was this Ultra maggie in the Movie when we needed'em! LOL
It's a shame cos the idea of a Soundwave heavy episode where he makes a multitrack recording of different sounds to produce a killer frequency is actually pretty cool.
You forgot to mention when Perceptor switched sides and became a Decepticon, Shockwave holds himself in Gun mode, Hoist driving Huffer, and Bruticus standing next to the combaticons.
Im not sure Hoist driving Huffer is an error. Transformers is well known for having a size-change thing going on. Many examples come to mind such as Soundwave, Megatron, Astrotrain and so on.
That's Starscreams brother Frank. He likes to pull pranks on ol' Screamer by switching In and out with the other seekers Oh that Frank, he's such a trickster!
There was alot of times they miscoloured Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker. Also at the end of season 2 in an episode after Starscream had been kicked out of the gang, Skywarp or Thundercracker was coloured in Starscreams colours in some scenes.
One of my favorite errors from Childs Play is when Starscream has the high ground and stomps on Optimus when he proceeds to climb up to him. Starscream stands still while a third, incomplete and oversized Starscream leg comes down in front of him stomping on Primes head.
I look at the mistakes as part of the charm of the show. And HOLY CRAP! I didn't even notice some of that and I'm an 80s kid. Now I have to rewatch it.
1:31 “When Megatron wants to test out a new weapon and uses Starscream as a guinea pig” No no no sorry that is incorrect Megatron used Starscream as a guinea pig-o-tron!
Soundwave was my first large transformer. I always had a soft spot for him and really always thought of him being an Autobot at heart. For the most part in the series he is much less cruel to the others (except for a few scenes where he kicks humans)
The problem with G1 was that each episode was spat out after 4 months of production. Animations usually take around a year per episode. Transformers was so popular, Hasbro had to keep up with demand. Also, some of the bigger mistakes were made when they used AKOM (South Korean animation studio) to animate some of the episodes, instead of Toei.
Shockwave being on Earth isn't an error/a mistake. Yes, he is Cybertron's guardian, but that doesn't mean he MUST NOT leave Cybertron and come to Earth EVER. By this episode, the Decepticons already invented a space bridge, and used it numerous times. Many Decepticons based on Earth visited Cybertron a lot of times and got back to Earth, so I can't see why Shockwave couldn't do such thing vice versa at least once? He simply came down to Earth in this adventure and then got back to Cybertron. Simple. Yeah, this might be an unintentional mistake by the animators, but my point is that in this case it doesn't automatically mean an animation error, as it can actually be logically explained. All blue Optimus Prime is not a mistake too. It's plain obvious that they intentionally painted him like that and it's a shadowed Optimus Prime. Even as a kid watching this I figured it's a shadowed Prime and not a mistake.
I've often thought that. I don't see this as a huge mistake. Odd, yes. Uncharacteristic, yes. But it really really isn't an actual error unless there's a reason it can't be, and as long as the Space Bridge is a thing, Shockers can be there.
A mistake similar to the *# 5* is (as far as I remember from my childhood) when the Autobots were running to rescue *Bumblebee,* buried under a fallen building... and Bumblebee himself was part of the rescue team. But I honestly can't tell the episode, right now.
(Bonecrusher shooting at the Decepticons with the Autobots) Galvatron: Bonecrusher!! Get over here!! Bonecrusher: Whoops. (Reminds me of Anchorman when Wes Mantooth (Vince Vaughn) and his gang are laughing at Ron Burgundy and his crew and Brick (Steve Carrell) is with Wes laughing at Ron…(”Brick..get over here.” 😆)
My favourite "Transformers" mistake is a dialogue error instead of an animation error. In "A Prime Problem," where Megatron creates a clone of Optimus Prime and tries to lead the Autobots into a pit filled with something that will kill them, Optimus pleads with Trailbreaker and the others to not listen to the clone. However, in one of the most ironic moments I've ever witnessed, Optimus (who wants to prove to the others that he's the real Optimus Prime) calls out to "TrailBLAZER!"
I remember one of the strangest mistakes from G1 where Megatron was angry and flipping out yelling and screaming about something I forgot what it was LOL but in the same shot you see sound waves head moving in a really weird motion like he's about to snap her crack for going sane LOL it's just one of those weird memories of the cartoon.
I saw other mis animations like when there is sideswipe in with desepticons in 2 scenes in different seasons Logo miss print is common i saw it like 30 times in the whole show
The best things is that all of these errors in the G1 cartoon (+the ones stated here in this video, and in the infamous Season 3 episode, “Carnage in C Minor”) were caused by none other than Unicorn himself.
My favourite error in the series was when Vikings travelled in time and smashed the window of a five and dime store to steal a $25,000 diamond necklace
Even as a kid watching this show I noticed the mistakes. It used to especially annoy me when they would put the wrong symbols on a character. Eh, still a Transformers fan and I even grew up to be an animator.
I can’t even wrap my head around to how half of these errors even happed to begin with, how do you screw up something so simple as giving Soundwave the wrong faction insignia, or literally anything else that was shown here? I get that animation budget was to blame back then, but come on.. I’d be ashamed if I was going through the finished episodes, and seeing these errors show up, and nobody suggesting to fix them..
For optimus in SOS dino bots it is funny, my child brain always excused that as being that primes energy was being sapped. Most of the others I didnt notice. Great video! Thank you!
S1 there were a few mistakes here and there. S2 it was a bit more noticeable with some mistakes being subtle and others sticking out. S3 the animaters gave up and pretty much didn’t care. S3 is riddled with mistakes in terms of scaling between characters, characters in the wrong shots, wrong characters animated as talking etc. in fairness 2D animation is so difficult to make so you can forgive the animators for reusing a thing here and there to meet the demands of Hasbro. S2 is probably my favourite or S3 I go back and forth between the two. S4 the animation quality is just gone. That being said it still remains one of my favourite iterations of the show. Xx
You'd think with all the screwed up stuff in Carnage in C-Minor that would be the worst animated episode...but nope, Child's Play finds so many ways to get things wrong, especially that last one. And people picked on Armada's flaws for being bad...
Mistake 1: It wasn't just Soundwave who 'switched' sides. Mistake 7: Not only was there an entirely blue Optimus Prime on display. Megatron was also drawn as a kind of Manga character and his mouth moved in a kind of stop-motion animation.
Mistakes, yes. But did these happen, because the animators were rushed for time?
