The video could have been a lot better. They should have stayed in character the whole time. Coming out of character made them look like kids showing off rather then professionals making a serious film.
Also looking Jessey and the girl were constantly looking at the camera and making silly faces.

My husband and I were in the East Village last weekend, 10/27 - 10 30, visiting my son Mike Holcomb and his wife Sue Rozdeba. We were sitting in Pizza place just off St Marks and along came the Speeders!!!! Was the best ever. They stopped for the light and everyone was taking pics and pointing to the Speeders. DAMN how I love this! The snowboarding in NYC years ago was a strike of genius. That video set the new standard of media in a way many didn't understand. A person with video production skills took opportunities that old media were too lazy to pursue. This video is tapping into all the narrative techniques that embodies new video media in social media.
