But I didn’t want to back down and they didn’t let you get a refund for the race. I started doing the hard things, getting up early, running when it was cold, battling through soreness. In August of this year I ran the marathon! One thing that made the marathon even harder is that one of the signs to tell runners where to turn had blown over, I ended up running an extra 4 miles in the wrong direction before I realized that I was the only runner in sight. Eventually I ran back to where I got off course and continued going. I ended up running a total of 30.6 miles. At mile 26 my body was done and I called my wife and explained what had happened and told her I needed her to come pick me up! But my wife told me that even if I ran the extra miles I needed to cross the finish line to complete my goal! Casey those extra 4 miles were the hardest things Ive ever done in my life but they were so worth it! Thank you for inspiring me to do hard things and to push myself even when everyone told me I couldn’t finish! You’re the man Casey!

This video really made me remember why I started following creators like you. Back in 2018 I got brought back and rediscovered a love for film and photography. I found your channel amongst quite a few others that I learned a great deal from. Then covid hit and there was a bit of a shift in the type of content that was being put out by a lot of creators. It became a lot of product pushing with a lot less content with some depth and connection. Nothing wrong with people making their money, and if I was curious about a product their reviews were the first videos I watched. I guess what I am trying to say in all this is, Thank You. Thank You for showing us that the hard thing can be overcome and won.

Candace is so awesome for that reaction!! I know she has her "things" about her, just like all of us, but I was married for 14yrs to a girl I knew I loved since I was 17, and she NEVER championed or celebrated me even a tiny bit like that. Eventually she bolted from our marriage when our kid was in Kindergarten so she wouldnt have to deal with anything, and I've been in my "Hard Thing" ever since. Hopefully it doesn't take me 9 trys to overcome it. Nice job Casey!! Inspirational as always. You still got it! ✌️

I survived an overdose last week. I’m thankful to be alive. I was down and out. But now I have lots of support ❤❤❤ never give up ❤
Keep going!
Stay connected always to your support systems; it will be key in your recovery. Best wishes!!☀️

I put on my Brooks today for the first time in months. Im on day 4 of my workout routine. I want to keep doing hard things that make me feel good. Thank you for this Casey. Seriously... and I'm proud of you.
8:28 that women is a POS to ruin someone’s hard work just for her to cancel all the training and hard work they’ve been doing over a “I’m entitled and need to cross the road mentality”
what was she supposed to do people still need to go about their lifes, everyone hate this fucking marathons, why can't they bus theem all upstate so they could run all they want
Don’t believe everything you see. It’s good to be skeptical these days.
Casey’s videos have always been dramatic, something tells me this might have been a set up. Normal stuff is boring.
@@singleorigin3194 Go food shopping on Saturday.
@@Shmancyfancy536Bffr. I live and work on the route and this all the time. People don’t stop their lives for the marathon. We got places to be
Who else cried?
Blows my mind people are allowed to cross from one side of the street to another like that during such a high profile marathon.
Doing her shopping on her own without help is her hard thing
I question if that was not some elaborate setup
Grateful for your decision to share your life with us. From the beginning of my journey watching your art to now I am more than joyful watching your life journey. Beyond happy that you were able to make yourself feel happy awesome job hitting sub 3! Thank you for so many life experiences you’ve shared. I’ve learned from you throughout your experiences and like I said before thank you❤️
another one sobbing by the end, thank you for the beautiful storytelling and inspiring life lessons. and well done on the marathon :-)
“I have to do this because I lost roberto” lmao he said that like Roberto died
hey everyone, how are we all?
8:55 why are people crossing during the marathon??
Because this marathon takes place in the latest city in the country and people still have lives to live
And there is a cop right there in the frame!!!🤦🏻♂️
Nah, because they are mor0ns
@@pauldavids7167cops tell you to cross. People live and work on the route. They have to cross
@@usernotfound7481morons for living their life? People have places to be and they don’t have crossing points. They have no choice.

Been following you for years, since the vlog days.
As someone who has never met you, So proud of you. Couldn’t imagine your life without having done this.
Congratulations dude!! Big check!! ✅
I love this. I remember watching Casey’s videos 10 years ago or so and thinking I could never run like him, hadn’t ever run more than 2 miles. This year ran my second marathon sub 4 hours. It’s invigorating see people crush their goals!!!
Congrats Casey! I know from your previous video it has taken many attempts for you to achieve your goal. You kept trying and you actually did this time. Really happy for you. Thanks for inspiring us to do hard things and keep doing them even after many failed attempts.
The OG Casey video........ Casey's video's are one of the best thing on youtube. Love from India.
Man, I swear, I just got rejected by a dumb lady who pretends to be sick. I feel terrible. But, I love your content and what you do. Everytime you come up with the right video, bringing your energy. Thank you Casey.
The nostalgia from this video and the absolute quality made me happy. Thank you
this couldn’t have been timed better, for everything I’m going through, I so needed this, thank you ! man I teared up seeing candice’s reaction
What a video, feel the whole rollercoaster feeling of a normal movie and it was so intense, we miss you Casey
10:45 You can see the palet thing display the "E" of "LOSE" and the next shot is it displaying "WIN". Casey is able to change his own faith, that's the man he is 👏
Casey, it’s been like 10 years from the day I first watched your vlogs. Through all this years you made me made me think and you made me laugh.
Today you made me cry. So happy for you brother! Congrats.
Do hard things!
You're the best, Casey. Much love from Italy.

The storytelling as usual is amazing.. Thank you Casey for your videos!
Thanks CN - We know you do this shit for you, but we're all with you on the hero's journey. Congratulations to you and Neistast Nation!!
Candace's reaction is what got me. I needed this so bad this week. thank yoU!
This is too inspiring. The side bar on Roberto was so storybook perfect that it felt staged. Congrats, Casey!
