I haven't watched professional tennis for years now. (threw away the tv). Watching these two players now looks almost unreal.. Indeed, excellent tennis, unbelievable..the pace, the skill, the power..
Zverev indeed is playing at a very high level and he’s playing at his highest form of the season. I don’t expect Fritz would be a problem for him in the semis. If we do get a Zverev-Sinner Final that could be a classic.
zverev is playing at world no. 1 level this tourney. Unbelievable from the back of the court and his volleying has also improved tremendously. I would say he has a great opportunity to win a major next year if he can keep the level up. Only thing in his way it seems is Sinner 🧐
@@CL-ms5rt to me he has shown that he has reached a new peak this tournament after recovering from illness a few weeks back. The best i’ve ever seen him play and like I said the only thing in his way on hardcourts is sinner but if sinner dips even a little and if djokovic isn’t playing his usual best (likely) he has a greater chance than ever :)
Zverev was almost untouchable today ! What a performance ! Unbelievable from Zverev! Alcaraz didn't play bad, he didn't take his chances but credit to Sascha. Sinner vs Zverev would be fireworks if the face each other in the final 🔥
If not for Sinner, Zverev would easily be the most improved player year on year. This guy is finding his levels this season and competing toe to toe with Sinner and Alcaraz. He's in his physical prime and his game has shown remarkable all round growth. Made the RG finals this year, and you expect him to be competing for all the slams in 2025. If we exclude Djokovic, tennis has a new big 3. Finally some good competition for Sinner and Alcaraz outside of Djokovic.
Zverev's primary challenge lies in his mentality during tight, high-pressure matches in Grand Slams against top-tier opponents. While he possesses the skill and game to compete at the highest level, he often falters at critical moments, struggling to close out matches.
Thank you for including Zverev finally. Have nothing against Alcaraz or Sinner but so tired of all the hype that they are the only 2 good players and the only ones that will win Grand Slam in the future.
@@Mackay-z4r I think it's a combo of his Diabetes 1 and going to pushing in tight situations. Blood sugar levels might be harder to control in longer Bo5 matches.
@@Mackay-z4rAs you can see in this match and the last match vs Ruud he is playing more confidently and did well in the tiebreaks. That will help him in the future to be better more successful in close matches to be mentally stronger. He greatly has improved his serve, forehand and net play this year. The mental side is also something he is working on. With much of the personal drama in the past being over and his injury being healed he will be able to be more focused and confident mentally.
I like Alcaraz'play. He is enjoy tennis ,and try many type of attacks. Various type of plays. It may bring defeated result, but I believe this will make him more matured. A sure thing is what he play is the most interesting.

When I saw him in AO 2017 against Nadal i thought he will be next great thing in tennis but he never fulfilled his true potential. Hope he plays his best from next year especially at Grand slams. He choked at big moments in all majors this year
Absolutely masterclass from both players - but Sascha plays the tennis of his life at the moment, he would deserve a big title imo! Great handshake too! Keep it up !
Zverev has upgraded many parts of his game the last few seasons. His volleys are much better, his forehand is much better under pressure, and his first serve is now one of the best in the game (second serve still a little shaky, but not the weakness it once was either). The last thing that Zverev needs to upgrade is his mental fortitude in grand slam finals
