Guy Shoplifts $500 from Target TWICE but Doesn’t Get Arrested

- I am out of town right now with limited access to internet. For anyone new here usually I have the full police report written out in the description as well as an explanation of the legal outcome. There will also be no voiceover for this video as well. For this video I will add the report when I am back in town. I will be back to my regular format in about 2 weeks!
This will teach him a lesson!
To try it again...
Black privileges
This was the second time he tried to steal the same scooter
No arrest for shoplifting? Just a trespassing warning? WTF
Unbelievable.
That's how you end up with communities riddled with crime and stores that have to close due to non stop shoplifting.
I've heard Target's loss protection will document each case of shop lifting until the dollar amount constitutes a felony then comes after you with that.
@@volvo09 the store has to press charges...since they have say over their property
And it was the second time! 🤯
@volvo09 Exactly. It shouldn't be left to the store. If you smack your wife around, it doesn't matter if she wants to press charges or not. You are going to be prosecuted.
The only way to save America from itself is do it.
Wtf.... how will these misguided children in adult bodies ever learn if they are not punished accordingly?
That's what happens when everybody's called racist for treating everybody equally.
Walmart doesn't pay for court time for employees so they never show up and case gets dismissed... manager saved the cop tons of time and paperwork for a court that would let him out anyway

Exactly!
What punishment lol. The store clerk was apologising he has to unfortunately ask him to leave the store.
If you think this mentally unstable person is part of some mastermind retail theft ring, you need to be taken to the psych ward with him
Well he is black they are allowed to commit crimes as stated in the flloyd judgement!
They don't even fear being caught.
What a disgraceful policy. No wonder there are so many repeat offenders; they have no consequences.
its not policy. was probably just some soft ass libtard manager
He tries to steal a $500 scooter and the punishment is a picture and a hand shake... 🤔
I mean it’s a non violent offense, dudes just doing stupid shit but he wasn’t resisting with the officers or saying any wild or disrespectful things. The way target chooses to handle it is on them at the end of the day.
Don’t forget the pen 😂
bro stole $600 dollars and got a talking to, thats crazy bruh
When the hell is stealing twice, just a tresspass??? Green light for thieves is UNACCEPTABLE!!!😡 And since when does the store decide what to do? It's a crime, and the police need to do thier job and charge these whackjobs!
Trespass.
@@terminat1 lol ....not.
Hey Paul, idk if you realize your suggesting facism but thats what your doing. The power needs to be in the peoples hands, because once that door opens the bad cops are going to use it to target people they dont like. its that simple. That in turn, puts good cops in danger because more animosity is being bred. i guarantee that bad cops get more good cops killed than anything else, even if its not directly. Heres an example: someone gets arrested/ticketed for something super minor that doesn’t really mean much. however, the cop was super rude and disrespectful. that encounter might make said individual decide to just attack without thinking next time they see red and blue lights. Bad policies and bad cops put the good ones in harms way, because that Uvalde shooting taught us bad cops are more than comfortable sitting back and doing nothing when theres actually a risk to their own safety.
If the store chooses not to press charges for theft, they shouldn't be *ALLOWED* to call again in the future.
They're just making everyone else pay for the police to keep wasting time and resources without ever resolving the problem. Honestly, if they don't press charges, the guy should be allowed to keep the scooter. I would rather the store lose money once than taxpayers lose money every time the cops have to go out for the same crime!
If it solely comes to property crime reports I agree it is not warranted to send resources for parties that do not prosecute or enact proper consequences.
@@rodimcgeesums633 Yes, but can you encapsulate the spirit of that fully? This was literally because he said they had no one there with the authority to press charges on the store's behalf, and they are a corporation. There are any number of reasons for this but I would most likely assume they are avoiding any press at all on the increasing number of stolen items at stores lately, let alone press about a black non-citizen possibly stealing for survival. Besides, insurance pays off stolen items at a profit either way and dude really needs to get back to stocking those shelves or watching customers check themselves out. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pay him for the time he had to deal with this and had him clock out or worse just edit it out later.
lolol... problem is u think he pays taxes....
@@artfinityandbeyond No, my point was that everyone ELSE was paying for the cops to keep going out to these stores. It would be different if they were using their own security guards.
That makes no sense! So if say a person a few houses down comes and steals a package off your porch and they overhear you telling the cops you have them on video, and you won't press charges if the stuff is returned in the same condition it was sent, and 2 weeks later they did it again, I shouldn't be able to press charges!?!? This is the same with the store! They can choose to not press charges and if you come back and commit an entirely new crime than they can decide to press charges!! LOL
At least he got a free pen at the end. He scored!😂
Life's little victories
Well it's no wonder the budget is so high.

Target has facial recognition technology ???
🤣
Yes they do, Target has some of the most advance survelance and Anti theft technology on the market, They even have their own CSI lab that they use and allow other agencies to use as well. Next time you go to Target at the doors on either side of them about mid height you will see these little black ovals and those are the facial recognizing cameras that will alert AP of someone that has been tresspased or stolen from the stores before. Its a nation wide database, if you get tresspassed from 1 you get tresspassed from them all.
Well it didn't matter here. The employee said that it warned him that the guy was in the store, and the cop said why didn't you immediately call us, before he had the chance to steal and the employee said, we won't prosecute anyway. It's a worthless system if they won't prosecute anyone!

I was a manager at Home Depot. One of our employees videotaped a shoplifter walking out with over $1000 in tools. I called the police. Home Depot reprimanded me. It is against policy to call the police. Same at Lowes and Wal-Mart.
What you have to do is send the video to asset protection who will decide if they wish to coordinate with law enforcement. They usually don't. This decision was made for safety reasons, and I understand that. It is infuriating nevertheless!
Safety reasons??
COVER FACE WITH MASK AND THEY CANT SCAN. BW HA AH. AND Facial scanning dont work on black and asian people..dare to guess why
Yeah safety reasons, BS
I guess these stores don't care about losses that affect them financially. Walmart is getting ready to pull completely out of Portland because of this.
@@christiangonzales7429 You beat me to it! I was just about to say that’s why prices are increasing so disproportionately these days! It would likely be cheaper in the long run to ensure that someone from LP is always present during store hours or at least cross-train certain managers to make such calls, as in literally, it doesn’t take that much thought to call the police when a crime is committed in the open for all to see!

The store doesn't want to perpetuate the stereotype that blacks commit the majority of crime in this country. They figure that blacks are doing a good enough job of that themselves by literally committing the majority of crime.
2:41 Target said they didn't have enough people to press charges.
This dude at work had an ex-wife that got caught stealing $500 worth of merchandise from Target. All she had to do was take a class.

He was arrested. Didn't you hear the officer tell him he will have a court date? Misdemeanor thefts are usually just a cite and release with a summons for a court date. It goes on his record as an arrest. He's arrested and released at the scene.
Nope he was cited for trespassing. The store chose not to charge the theft.
Holding criminals accountable for their crimes is racist.

Target is weak. The store deserves to be plundered. They're more afraid of negative press from someone getting arrested rather than helping with crime.
@@volvo09 Wrong, Target will wait for multiple offenses to build up and then the will come after you with felonies instead of misdemeanors.
Idk why I thought Target would be better than this
Boy, Target sure has changed in their shoplifting policy since they falsely had me arrested in the 90s accusing my 13 year old white ass of stealing despite never having left the store shopping area with the the merchandise they claimed they knew I was going to steal. They made my life hell for a year of lying to the Courts to put me in anti-theft and community service programs and trying to make my parents pay thousands in "damages" (hiring more of these thuggish security who also apparently doubled as psychics in the pre-crime specialty division), despite the thing that I was allegedly going to steal only costing $22.
Full disclosure: I put a multitool in my backpack before paying for it. Security literally tackled me and dragged me to their office when I was on my way to the cashier's counters. Back then they would rather "bust" a suspicious teenager and risk a huge lawsuit (there was none, we were poor as hell and my parents were too busy with work to try and sue a corporation) rather than let me pay... all to justify their jobs, I guess. Now they're rather not pay for a beefy security team.

In December, here in East Texas, a gent shoplifted at a Walmart, and as he was attempting to flee, nearly hit a LEO (law enforcement officer).
He fled from the parking lot, and drove toward the next small town (cattle and horse countryside in the Pineywoods). He crashed at the courthouse, and the citizens received immediate Texas justice. He was shot stone cold, graveyard de*d.

A “20” is short for signal 20 which means mentally ill
Shoplifters/thieves should be legally indebted to the property they stole if total is ≥$500.00 over all shoplift/theft history by which then any additional property stolen is either 125% of the property valuation as a ticket/bail determination for 1st offense, for 2nd offense it's 150% and for 3rd it's jail with no bond and indebted 200% of the property stolen if ≥ $200.00 per offense otherwise it's determinant on the owner. Oh and they don't keep the stolen property obviously. Punishments can be less severe if property taken is legitimately for essential needs (food/water/basic clothing/etc.).
Same should apply to car theft and grand theft auto where they are indebted to pay insurance deductible (if applicable) or 25% of damage (if inflicted) for 1st offense, 50% of total damages w/ insurance and deductible or 100% of damages for 2nd offense even if damage was inflicted by police and bail is revoked.
These debts cannot be forgiven in a Bankruptcy declaration.
In Ca, They can shoplift up to 1000 dollars and not get arrested. Husband works for Krogers as a security guard, not allowed to stop someone shoplifting. Krogers allowes them to shoplift because they don't want a lawsuit.

Shoplifting isnt a violent crime and stealing from corporations is morally wrong but not to the degree that someone on hard times should go to jail for so, yeah it would have been a waste of resources to take him to jail when you catch him so close to the store with the merchandise and hes willing to cooperate.
